A New Food Park Will Pop Up in South Dallas’s Forest District | Eater Dallas

"A weekend food-truck park and community market created by a local nonprofit in partnership with community investors after surveying neighborhood needs, this project transformed a vacant lot at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Holmes Street into a welcoming gathering space. The site features community flowerbeds, public art, a children’s play area, pergolas for shade and green space that supports social distancing. It aims to serve as an incubator for culinary entrepreneurs—rotating bakers and food trucks such as Smith Spot BBQ, Soulgood Texas Vegan, Bri’s Bakes and Seaux Tasty Creole Fusion—while hosting local musicians and other entertainment. The pop-up runs Fridays 6–8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.–2 p.m. through May 2, and is part of broader neighborhood revitalization efforts that include theater restoration and plans for a park under an I-45 underpass." - Brittanie Shey
