Bought some sweets to celebrate a bday and all was really good, the right sweetness to make it delicious but not to sugary. Loved the cupcakes and the raspberry & pistachio mousse with the crunchy base ..

Best croissants in Montreal, light and tasty topped with a sweet coating. The birthday cake was pretty but dry inside.

It is the second consecutive year i order a customized kids birthday cake with Mlles Gateaux and each time the result was amazing! great esthetics and very yummy cakes… Not too sweet and buttery, perfect balance of flavors. This year minions cake was a great success among kids and their parents ! Thank you!

I was really excited to try this store. The display was stunning. The owners are very kind and friendly. They have high quality products. I highly recommend this place.

Don’t bother ordering a cake here if you have allergies or special requests. They’re very unwilling to help.

We order the birthday cakes for my children’s birthdays here year after year. And with good reason! The custom decorations are always exactly as requested, and the cakes are beyond delicious! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We ordered a custom cake (mermaid theme), and it was amazing looking and delicious! The kids loved it, and all the adults asked about the shop we got it from. Thank you Mlles Gâteaux for your great skills in cake-making.

Really loved the place. Small but very cozy. All pastry I bought were tasty and fresh. Especially liked the carrot cake and peanut butter cake. The blueberry scone was huge and fresh. Enjoyed every piece. Definitely will come back.

It breaks my heart to bring this place's score down but... This is the second year we've requested Mlles Gâteaux's services for custom cake. Last year, we wanted a spiced cake, and somehow ended up with lemon and chocolate. Umm..ok..? It was tasty so we brushed it off and decided to give them another go this year. It was for a birthday, so we wanted to do something a bit off the beaten path, and went for a rainbow cake. I called the place 2 weeks in advance, and was told I could expect a call-back to iron the fine details. The ladies on the phone seemed overwhelmed by the request: how many colours are there in a rainbow? Plans were made, that was that. We picked up the cake today. It looked quite lovely, all white! It makes it even better to cut into a nondescript cake eh? So moment of truth, the slice comes out and...it's not a rainbow. It's a random bunch of colours. The first young woman did ask me which colour I wanted on top, and the order of the rainbow so what's that? What about the taste? Only one layer of the cake was flavoured (yellow-lemon), even though I asked for all of them to be done (how hard is it to put lemon zest in batter, even if it is dyed purple?). The five other colours taste like cardboard, and the top tiers are under baked. The only solution we've found is to drown it in booze. For $70, it's the most expensive cardboard I'll ever eat, and a massive birthday disappointment. I'm sure the store redeems itself in other ways, but custom cake might not be their forte. I really can't recommend them yet.

First I should say that I hate that hard layer of fat that is used around cakes to make them look pretty... I really prefer a rustic looking cake rather than having that slab of useless fat... however, I am not rating them on this since most bakeries use that type of hard butter (shortening) cream for decoration purposes. That being said, I am rather difficult to please when it comes to cakes and I was pleasantly surprised by this cake. I tried a chocolate cake with golden malted chocolate balls on top, chocolate batter and chocolate buttercream between the layer (plus that useless fat around it!) and ganache. The buttercream was light and not too sweet... more like a dense whipped cream. The cake itself was so good... not very sweet and so so tasty... like a taste I would expect from an experienced home baker. I am awarding a 5 star just because no other bakery I know has such a good quality cake batter... the cake is moist and light, while remaining decadent and chocolaty... it tastes of real ingredients, nothing fake... what more can say? Can't wait to try more flavours! Also tried the carrot cake balls dipped in chocolate. Yes they are rich, but still crumbly and delicious. Good job Mlle!

Great cakes, the lemon cheese cake was devine!! The take away plain doughnuts are amazing!!! Nice store presentation in an upcoming area. Worth the visit..

They have the best cheese cake. Try the ones with coconut flakes. But it would be nice of they are open later specially on the summer time. I'd like to have sweets after my dinner not before.
