M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burgers - Capitol View

What an amazing lunch we just had!! We all got meals. There were plenty of places to sit and you sat yourself. Menus and drink menu on the table already. Lots of tvs to watch your favorite team and a patio to sit on for great weather. The bar is huge with no many offerings we need to come back to drink. As far as the walls this is where it shines. So many awesome photos of Nashville sports and local stars. They did an amazing job on that. For drinks we all had either iced tea or lemonade which all very good and not too sweet. Food for us were the patty melt, turkey burger, chicken wrap, kids chicken nuggets, animal style burger and cheeseburger. All the food came out very warm and yummy. The fries were only the sad part, I wished they were hotter and more salt and maybe a little fresher. That was honestly the only down or con to the meal. All the entrees were excellent and I would highly recommend them again. Overall I am very pleased with the food, location and atmosphere. We will be back and make sure you all go also.

As a vegetarian, great food. Now the vegetarian entree section isn't long at all (3 burgers). But the Seoul vegetarian burger was delicious. They also had the option for regular burgers to swap the patty with a black bean patty or impossible meat patty. The servers were nice but you do have to call on them. Nice assortment of non alcoholic drinks in the ZERO PROOF section. I really liked the sunshine spritz. The sweet and bitter flavor paired well with my food and didn't ruin the flavor. The fried pickles and onions were a great appetizer. They have a wonderful trivia night on Wednesdays where you can win a gift card so if you have a friend who you think would do well on jeopardy, bring them on your team. For alcoholic beverages, a very large selection. Great to go with friends or coworkers to just chill and have a great time.

A great sports bar with extensive beer list and great speciality burgers. Burgers are “smashburger” type and well cooked. Trent was a fantastic server and not only offered great service but gave GREAT local suggestions for places to visit and see while we were in town. He was able to give good recommendations on drinks and was attentive even though he was very busy. The burgers were AMAZING-my teen said it was now “the burger standard and the best burger of my life”. The burgers are definitely the highlight and served with a small side of regular waffle fries. You can upgrade to sweet potato fries for $2. We will DEFINITELY eat here again if we are back in Nashville.

Well yea, been here done that BUT, I had never been greeted by the Manager 😱. YES I met Jeff. He is very pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. McKenzie is our server tonight and I must say that ML Rose must train all of their employees members well because they are very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. ambience is good. Again I am saying that: I “ HIGHLY RECOMMEND“ this ML ROSE in Gallatin, TN. They are doing a great job!

OMG! Found this place after striking out on our “first” choices! Should have come here first! Service is great, beer is great, burgers are exceptional! I recommend the Jam burger, and my wife liked the Taproom. If you’re in Nashville, avoid the crowded strip and head to this really nice neighborhood place! Heather was our server, and we couldn’t have been happier!!

Went here to meet a couple people for dinner. Waitress was absolutely amazing and attentive. Tuesday is bogo drinks! Extensive beer and drink menu. Decor is cool and plenty of TVs for sports. Place is kid friendly. Now to the food...... everything was overcooked, which was disappointing. The crispy chicken salad was flavorless with overcooked chicken. I got the SGT Pepper burger, which caramelization for smashburgers is usually good but can be overdone, which so happens these were pretty crispy. The burger also had jalapeño stems on it. The kitchen needs to pay better attention and not put out inadequate food.

Visited ML Rose for lunch today, the bartender Madeline welcomed me and got me set up with a water and a Heathen Philosopher Belgian Ale while I looked the menu over. Based on her recommendation I went with the Jam Burger with a sweet red pepper jam and the waffle fries. The burger was good, nice flavor and the jam had a little kick. The bacon was very crispy and I had the BBQ Sauce on the side so dipping the burger gave it a bit of a vinegar twist (more of a Carolina versus Texas sauce). The fries were OK but the seasoning for me was way too salty. While the food was good and the service from Madeline excellent just not a repeat for me.

Editing this review based on the restaurants prompt response. Hoping an investigation was held, but would just warn people of the general attitude we experienced that I’m not expecting to change anytime soon. Any self-aware waiters here shouldn’t be surprised if their tips are low

We stopped by ML Rose for a quick dinner during our trip, and it did not disappoint. The space is huge, with lots of seating options. The food is excellent, and they have a great beer selection. They brought us multiple samples to try, and we really appreciated how attentive our wait staff was. We each tried something different as entrees and loved it. And those Nashville hot cheese curds?! Shooooooooooot. An absolute must try! The only thing that I will say is they need to add their vegetarian patty options (black bean burger and Impossible patty) to the menu. I had to call and ask if they had vegetarian options, and they were very kind and gave me the options. However, we almost didn't go here because I couldn't find the information available online (legit did a massive search and couldn't find any newer info than a review from 2017). Other than that, highly recommend!!

Overall a nice spot to enjoy some Trivia on a Wednesday late afternoon / early evening. (I believe it's at 6 pm). From the times I've gone with some friends for Trivia, it was a packed bar/restaurant. With my group typically being a group of 6+ including myself, it could be hard to grab a table if you don't show up early enough. With that said, the service/server was still great in my opinion - on top of the selection of drinks/beer you can choose from. I have yet to order food here specifically (because we mainly come for the drinks and trivia) however, I heard it's not too bad for the price you're paying. I have tried some of the appetizers and those have been fair. The only real con is that the prices weren't cheap but also weren't expensive in comparison to everything else around. Keep in mind we did go during happy hour as well.

My waitress was phenomenal!!!!! I told her what type of beers Iiked and she came back with a 5-glass flight that did not miss. The food was great too. Had ordered the loaded fries and on the side was a thick ranch--the best dam Ranch I have had. They seriously need to bottle that stuff. And the kids meals--yes, please. Kiddo approved; no sesame seed bun; no peanut oil fries. As for the vibe, roll up. It's a a fun, casual, laid back vibe.

This place is always a good choice!! Service was slow, but there were a lot of games on so it was very busy! We got the wings to start and both got salads and shared some fries. Highly recommend the ranch to any newcomer! One of our favorite spots!

Solid food find within walking distance of a Tesla Supercharger! It looks like it's a bit away on the map, but you are not far at all. Stopped in for lunch while juicing up the ride. We sat at the bar. Tables were all pretty full, honestly I was impressed. Bartender was nice, personable, and efficient. Tons of cool beers on tap. There are even more in the coolers. Very eclectic selection. I wished I lived closer. Food was good. Nashville Hot Cheese Curds were ok. The curds themselves were a bit greasy. The spice was sorta weak for a "Nashville Style". I'd pass on the next trip. Burger was freaking solid! I had the Jam Burger and it was right up my alley! Perfectly pressed patties, loved all of the toppings. Waffle fries as the side performed their roll perfectly. Crunchy, starchy, goodness! Great Yelp find! In and out in less than an hour, fully charged for the ride home! My kind of place! '24 - 17/100

I've enjoyed other locations of ML Rose, and this met our expectations. We were stopping for a late lunch on a holiday.Easy seating available. I went classic, the Jam Burger. What's not to like? When Burger is in your name, it should be good. Jam Burger is 2 patties, smoked cheddar, bacon, sweet red pepper jam, crispy onions, & bbq sauce. pretty much checks all the boxes for me. My only regret is we had been somewhere prior to our stop and no one was interested in one of their fine craft beers, which are worth the trip alone.

Discovered this spot on the recommendation of a local Uber driver who couldn't stop raving about their prices and fantastic menu. It's a charming hidden spot that exceeded expectations with its extensive menu. The Melrose location, one of several, is the only one I've tried. I opted for the Nashville Hot Cheese Curds - Wisconsin white cheddar, fried to perfection, and tossed in Nashville hot seasoning. Served with M.L.Rose Thicc Ranch, they bring the heat, making them a great choice for spice enthusiasts. For the main event, I went with the Sgt. Pepper Burger - two smashed patties, habanero jack, serrano pepper-bleu cheese, grilled jalapeños, onion, tomato, and chipotle ranch. It's a little spicy but absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional; the server was helpful with recommendations. The menu, while great, can be overwhelming, but our server provided solid suggestions, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. With an impressive selection of craft beers and a menu boasting some of the best burgers in town, this place is a must-try for burger aficionados. Multiple locations, but the Melrose spot left a lasting impression.

Met up with some friends for dinner and enjoyed the meal I had here. I got the ANM.L.-Style burger which was the signature burger for the restaurant. It was essential a double cheeseburger and it was good. It came with waffle fries, which is a rarity to find at placea and also got a local hard cider to drink. Overall, the experience was good and the environment had a good vibe to it. The service could've been a smidge better in terms of a checking in when it was time to order as well as the close out checks, but what can you do.

I came here for St. Patrick's Day weekend with some friends and we had a great time! When you walk in, it is a seat yourself environment and they have space to accommodate large and small parties of people. The staff was very kind and always made sure we had what we needed. The green owl lager looks like a spin of their in house Owl Lager. It was great! They also have Cider and non alcoholic drinks as well. As for food, the pretzel bun burgers are fantastic. Very flavorful and filling. Overall nice spot to enjoy festivities.

I lived this place. Ambiance is seat yourself and the servers have tables as they come. I live their brunch on Saturday and Sunday. They have plenty of options with incredible food choices. Huge huge fan!

Just had amazing service at ML rose in Mt Juliet! Our server was on it, she was so friendly, made our 4 year old feel special and the food was perfect!

I love the food and decor in this restaurant. A feast for the eyes and stomach. The menu has plenty of choices for a good quick meal and if you want a libation well, this is their specialty. The chicken, burgers, waffles fries are the best. The restaurant was very clean and service was awesome. The women's restroom was very roomy and clean. Parking on the street (free) or paid garage.

The bar has a nice look for a sports bar. Staff needs to be retrained. I ask the waiter if you had Guinness and she like we have only craft beers. Instead of making a suggestion that was comparable she said nothing so I did not order a drink. I got the animal style smash burgers which to me it was to kids burgers put together on one bun. This is not even close to a smash burger your cooks need training as well. The bun was not toasted and after a few bite it disintegrate in my hands. The lettuce and tomato were ice cold which is great but the sauce that came with it were warm which is strange. Waffle fries were old and stall like they have been sitting in the dryer basket and has no seasoning at all. Don't let the picture fool you. This would be great for 2 little kids having a happy meal.

Really good burger (Belgian) and fries. Everything well seasoned and hot when served. Fantastic. Maybe a year ago, had an absolutely horrible, tasteless burger here. Sent it back. Thrilled kitchen has turned it around because I love this location.

Awesome local burger chain with tons of local beers on tap. This location specifically is frequented by coworkers of mine for Wednesday night trivia. Parking is a little annoying for events such as trivia because all of the street parking has signage indicating a 2 hour limit, as does the Publix parking deck across the street. For dinner, it should be no big deal but for large groups for trivia (holding a table early), it's a little sus. Plenty of televisions for sports watching and a patio where dogs are welcome. Burgers and non-burger entrees are all amazing! My partner is obsessed with the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. They have a featured burger of the month and have even partnered with other local restaurants to have their burger be that much more creative (ex. Cacio e Pepe with a local Italian place). My top favorites are the ANM.L style, the southern belle, and the Thai peanut chicken salad. The waffle fries are better than Chickfila (so crunchy). If there's one food complaint, the burger is kind of small for my taste but probably overall pretty comparable to every other burger bar.

I will be coming back here often! A seat yourself setup with lots of space around 5pm on a Friday. We had Long Island iced teas, cheese curds, loaded fries, sergeant pepper burger, Cajun and Buffalo wings, and key lime cheesecake to top it all off! And every single item was delicious! I don't think you can go wrong with anything here, and these burgers are so tender and juicy you'll never want to get one anywhere else. Not to mention our server was friendly, attentive, and very helpful giving some tips to us Nashville newbies. This will definitely be a go to spot from now on.

I was walking around, undecided on what to eat. Went in to a couple other places before this one. Wait staff was excellent. My Belgian burger was Great! The loaded skillet queso was terrific. I did try the jalapeño slaw, not a fan. Decent music and atmosphere was relaxing.

I've been a avid visitor of M L Rose for years. I love the chilol ambience, regular cheeseburger, grilled chicken nachos, pickles and peppers, and recently even their salads. I LOVE that they stay open pretty late also.

Other M.L. Roses are great from my past experiences but this one, this is a place of belittling and truly just insane how you get treated by not only the server but the GM. I'm a bartender on broadway of all places and I treat my customers like a saint. From square one it felt like I was just a complete bother to my server. Had her before on the patio and she wasn't as bad but still not great. Watched her on her phone the whole time will I have empty beer and water. Would walk away before she even made sure we were taking care of and you could read the carelessness all over her face she doesn't care. I'm literally in the same industry as you and I don't get to be on the other side very much. Meaning I don't get to go out to eat much. Server brought the check out 3 different times just assuming I didn't want my 2nd 2 for 1 beer that is literally there all day Tuesday special as well as didn't ask for the check in the first place. I had a coupon I received for $15 off my visit that I got from my apartment complex which I pay a good chunk of change for monthly, however this place couldn't honor the $15 coupon without a argument. The servers words were "My general manager said he'll do it this one time but don't expect it to happen ever again" whenever I literally gave the one coupon given to me from my apartment complex lol sounded kind of like a threat. I literally hate being treated like trash going out because I do the same job as you guys do and this would never fly with me. The general manager didn't even have the nerve to come out and talk to us about the issue with the coupon. BUT HEY IT'S ALL GOOD I won't be returning even though I live 5 minutes away. Absolutely terrible service, experience, everything to a tee was bad. Food was of course great. However if upper management or the owners see this review and will honor it and respect my inquiry I would most likely give this location another chance considering as I said I live 5 minutes away. If not then I won't be returning to this garbage and demeaning establishment. Good luck in the future, and word of advice don't just hire anyone because it's literally your job to take care of your customers lol. Good luck going forward !

Delicious!! Went here for a quick ladies lunch and loved the food and service. This location is great because then you can go walk and shop nearby. Will definitely be back when we are in town.

Upon arriving into Nashville this was the first local place we stopped by to eat at. We looked at the menu online and everything looked great so we were excited. We got there and the staff was super friendly and helpful, I ended up ordering 'The Belgian' burger. I honestly can't say enough good things about this burger, one of the very best burgers I've had in a very long time!! It was perfectly cooked, seasoned, all the toppings worked well together and were of the right portion... my only complaint was that we didn't make it back to get another one before leaving town! The price point is very fair for what you get, and my girlfriend loved her food as well. I think the only thing that she didn't like was me talking about how much I wanted another one of those burgers the rest of the time we were in town. Cool little spot, nice atmosphere, great set up. 12/10 would recommend stopping in if you're anywhere close by. I know I sure will be back next time I'm around!

Good place to grab food and watch games as they have several TV's. I've been here a few times since it's close. I traditionally get the wings and waffle fries and am typically happy with my order depending on how the ranch comes out, which is always hit or miss. I'm guessing they just use sour cream and hidden valley ranch packets, which is an extremely lazy way to make ranch in 2022, because it always tastes and looks different. Food aside, service is terrible here so you've been warned. You won't see your waitress for extreme stretches of time and your food order will likely get messed up in some way. With some minor tweaks, this place could be a great spot to eat and entertain friends looking for a family style sports bar.

Gave this place another chance after not coming here for years, and were quickly reminded of why we never come here anymore. Our burgers were completely burnt and dry; when we got the check I saw that the waitress had for some reason put "NO pink" on our order, which we never asked for and which explains the disgusting ashtray-like burgers. Just par for the course at this place.

Great burger place when you're looking for good burgers, delicious fries, and good beer. Their appetizer which is sweet potato fries, pulled pork, and a honey mustard barbecue sauce is out of this world delicious. Super fatty and heavy, so a beer definitely is a must to help it go down. Also this is a great place for trivia on Wednesday nights! The other M.L.Rose locations have trivia on other days. Their jam burger of the month is insane! Sweet jam paired with salty, crunch onions and bacon. Burger is smashed and charred beautifully!

You can find this location of M.L. Rose at 431 11th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37203 in the somewhat historic Downtown Nashville. I arrived fairly early in the day (they were still serving breakfast items - not sure if they only do that early on weekends or more frequently) - I managed to find a free parking space right in front, so that already put me in a great mood. We hit this location of M.L. Rose for a brunch/early lunch. The place was busy but our luck held out and we were seated immediately - there wasn't much traffic this early. The place is full of local kitsch and fairly loud music the crowd was youthful and noisy in general. We ordered and shared various breakfast offerings including: Chick'n Biscuit with a side of cheezy grits and fruit (pineapple - chicken was excellent, crisp yet juicy inside, the biscuit perfect for this both flaky and able to hold up to being handled. THe grits were excellent. Graceland Waffles covered in bacon, peanut butter and bananas - tasty, savory and good. Papi Breakfast Burrito - good but almost bland in comparison to the other items Side Biscuit - Flaky, butter crust on top and bottom - great with honey and jam. I had some creamy latte drink that was cold and delicious - more milkshake than coffee. If you go to the restrooms checkout the black light posters! Service was great with attentive staff and plenty of water refills, etc. We were in-and-out in about 45 minutes so a great start to the day!

Went on a Wednesday with friends for after work drinks and dinner. The place was packed! The only table was a small high top at the bar but there was no table service. We had to squeeze three of us in a table really for two and then try to squeeze in to the bar to get drinks and order food. The bartender was busy and a little cranky at first. He warmed up to us eventually but it was a rocky start. We asked a waitress walking by a question and she was super annoyed and not helpful. After about 15 minutes we realized there was a big crowd for trivia night. The place is cute and there is a variety of seating types, booths, high top tabletops, outdoor seating, bar seating. If it wasn't so hot outside the patio would have been my choice. We couldn't really hear the trivia questions even though we were close to the guy running it. It was a bit too loud inside. Later when we were leaving we realized the people on the patio could clearly hear the questions, so consider that option if you are going for trivia. The beer selection, draft and bottle, was excellent. They even had a specialty wild sour from Yazoo on draft that I would have never expected to see. There is a stand-alone beer draft and bottle menu....but the beers listed on draft were not what was up on the board. We ordered our food and had a beer while we waited. The food came out in a decent amount of time considering how busy they were. I split the fried chicken sandwich and Buffalo chicken wrap with my friend. The Buffalo wrap was not good. There was way too much Buffalo sauce and it was just off, the flavors were not balanced. I wouldn't order it again. The chicken sandwich was excellent. The bun was soft and delicious, the slaw was well seasoned and chicken perfectly cooked. Overall great flavor! I ordered the waffle fries and she got the sweet potato fries that also come waffle style. Our other friend had a burger, which had two patties, with waffle fries. She loved hers and couldn't finish it. She had noticeably a lot more waffle fries in her side than mine. I'm assuming it's because the kitchen was busy that the portions were so off but it looked like someone ate half my side order before it made it to the table. Overall it was a decent experience. I will definitely try a different location and avoid the busy trivia night next time.

Been a fan for some time, but mainly frequent the 8th Ave location. Just had the worst server, was inattentive and when I asked if our food was coming out soon (said with no snark), she rolled her eyes and was super sarcastic. Shit like that ruins the mood, the vibe, puts a downer on the whole experience. No crazy high white cloth expectations, just a civil acknowledgment that she'll check on it would suffice. Food was good. Just a pissed off server who spread her shitty vibes on our good time.

These burgers are on point! The buns really make the veggie burger. Just a quick stop and to go order including burgers and fries. Service was a bit slow when picking up, but it's all good.

We really enjoyed the burgers, fries, and beers. I mean, what's not to love?!?! We got off the tour bus and decided to give this place a try and had no regrets. We sat at the bar and the service was good. They were very busy but the noise wasn't overwhelming. We were there on a nice enough day that they had the windows open, which added a nice bit of fresh air. I know they have a few locations and I wouldn't hesitate to try one of them.

We went to ML Rose for dinner last night. I was in the mood for a good burger and they never disappoint. The meet used is from Porter Road, best butcher in Nashville. My wife has the wings. She enjoyed them. I had a side salad and it was okay. Our server was a lovely young lady who was attentive to our needs, an easy smile who provided great service. I had the tumbler burger, delicious, the ML Rose owl lager, light and tasty. Good burger beer and service, great combination.

Great spot for a classic burger and a beer on the weekend. We went here after a titans game and it was just what we needed. The waiter was super kind and helpful.

AMN.L.STYLE Buger...it was the BEST BURGER I have ever eaten! The flavor was like music to my taste buds!! Our server Olivia N was so helpful and friendly. It would be worth the trip just to see her again. Sad I don't live here, I would stop here once a week!! You need to try this amazing place!!

A local Nashville Burger/Pub chain with multiple locations. Great vibes and place to hang out with friends. I prefer the M.L.Rose location in melrose since they have a great outdoor space! I've tried a couple of their burgers and they're really good. Can't go wrong with any of them. Carolina Sweet- sweet potato friends with pulled pork. While tasty, not sure I would order this again and would choose a burger next time. Wings- I would pass next time! Trivia night on Wednesday.

Service is average and compared to the competition, the food is way below average. There are better burgers most anywhere else.

Delicious burgers, great service and very relaxed atmosphere! Dessert was also delicious but had yo get it to go bc we were so full from the burgers!

The food was delicious and served hot! I had the quesadilla (had more kick than my northern palate is used to), but delicious! Others at our table had sandwiches and they enjoyed theirs too. Why 4 stars instead of 5? One point off for the first impression by our server. She seemed dismayed that we sat at a large roomy booth, though the sign said "please seat yourself". It was not a great way to welcome the disabled member of our party who was unable to sit at a bar height table. But the place had a great ambiance, good selection of craft beers, and the food was tasty. I'll be back, I will just hope for a tiny bit more southern hospitality.

Like sooooooooooooooo bad. Im 25 years old and that was the worst burger i have eaten in 25 years. Cool!! Did i stutter?!!! That's right . I said this was the worst burger ive had in a whole quarter century.

Just walked in to have a beer at 11:30pm. This place shows closing at 1am. The rude girl bartending greeted us "umm...are you planning to order food or something cause we're getting ready to close" I have complete respect for not coming in a business last minute...but we are talking 1.5 hours till closing...and all I wanted was a beer. Just not a friendly way to greet your guests. Walked right back out and would never return.

Thankfully this place has been around for some time and hopefully won't go anywhere. The burgers are fantastic along with the waffle fries. They always have a killer selection of draft beer and the employees are always fun to interact with. I almost always sit are the counter/bar for that reason.
