M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burgers - Sylvan Park

Went here to grab lunch while we were in Nashville, and this place has a casual vibe, ok food and fun ambiance. The server was attentive and friendly. We ordered Nashville Hot Cheese Curds - which was delicious, fried chicken sandwich was fine, and fries were hot and crispy. Overall, it is a good place for a quick bite or drink.

We came to visit Nashville and stopped in for trivia. The bartender, Lane, was amazing and took the time to let us know some great places to try while exploring the city. The food was great and the atmosphere as well!

Way cool ..burger was sooooo good home made..you have options for meat . Turkey..black bean ..beef....waitress Madison was so sweet..hospitality was so good from her.

I'm not really a Craft Beer guy, but my of age children were satisfied with their beer selections. We all were very happy with their burgers. In Nashville? Make it a stop.

Wife and I stopped in while having an afternoon to ourselves. Being my first time eating at M.L. so I had no expectations. There was hardly anyone there at around 2:00 so we were waited on and served pretty quickly. Peter, our server was great. I had the Truffle Shuffle with a side of sweet potato waffle fries and a half and half iced tea. The wife had a black bean burger which looked amazing having a layer of kimchi on it I was intrigued. The Truffle Shuffle was pretty good. I guess the way burgers are being served nowadays is sans vegetables. I miss the lettuce, pickles. But the burger was good. The wife liked her black bean burger. I felt it was a little pricey, for lunch, but what the hell, I didn’t have to do dishes.

We tried the buffalo chicken fries, pretzel bites and fried pickles, the jam burger, Belgian burger, animal burger, wings and crunch wrap! Not a single piece of food was left on a plate! The food was so good and flavorful and had quite a few options. Our server was quick and attentive. The atmosphere was okay. Definitely would be a fund place for date night but it’s hard with big crowds! The had lots of seating but I felt like they had a lot of high top tables inside which can be difficult to get in and out of. It’s also located right in front of a fire station so beware that it can get noisy but the kids seemed to love it! Overall, we will definitely be back!

The atmosphere of this place definitely looks and feels like the description on the website. I am a big fan of burgers and like to try different variations. I tried the Belgium and it did not disappoint. The portion size was more than enough. The meat was tender and juicy. Flavor was on point. The different topping complimented each other to a tea. Definitely a must have if you are in the Nashville area. Oh and they honor the military which is always a bonus.

I've eaten here many times over the years and I usually get the same thing each time that I go. Last night I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and they used SIDE SALAD MIX instead of lettuce and tomato. The entire wrap tasted like carrots and radishes. It was disgusting. I'm appalled that they would be so lazy that they would try to substitute simple ingredients and serve it to customers. I'll probably never eat here again.

Love a neighborhood brewpub story, and appreciate M.L.Rose's excellent food/beer pairings. Plenty of seasonal selections from Nashville and other nearby states. There's plenty of apps to try/share, and I thought the pickle chips were the best on the table during our group dinner. My favorite beer was the Leather Jacket porter, and I'd definitely order the Jam burger with sweet potato fries again. The decor is great, covered with pop culture references over the last century of movies/music. They seem to host pretty regular trivia events, so this would be a great spot for other work/family happy hours! May have found my new favorite spot to visit in Nashville. Note: you might have to fight a bit for parking depending on when you're trying to visit, so get there early!

This was my first time at M.L. Rose and it didn't leave me with a lasting impression of, "I must come back!" I say this keeping in mind we were a large party, 10 total and we did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate and seat us right away! At first, our server popped right over. She took our drink order and offered to turn up the heat since we were in a covered patio area and it was chilly. After she brought the drinks we placed our food order and then we didn't see her again for what seemed like forever. At least 30 minutes went by before she came over and said our food was almost ready. We then waited another 10 minutes before the food actually came to the table. When the food was being passed around there were multiple orders that were wrong and needed to be fixed and one that was totally missing. The food was delicious! My brunch burrito was so good, hot and filling. The mimosa had Prosecco instead of champagne which is my preference. The restaurant was large with a couple rooms that had ample seating, cute Christmas lights wrapped on the ceiling and an outdoor patio that allowed dogs and had a putting green to entertain kids. We wrapped up our meal and our server was no where to be found. When she finally came around to collect our dishes and ask about splitting the checks she disappeared again. As mentioned above, we were a large group of girls grabbing brunch after a workout. We weren't in a rush, the time slipped away from us and before we knew it we had been there for 3 hours. I'm very grateful they were able to seat us with no notice and I really enjoyed the food. I would prefer a server who checks in more frequently or at least communicates if she's going to be MIA for a bit.

Let me just say: DANG. The featured sandwich right now is the chopped cheese supreme and this is honestly my new favorite sandwich. I have craved another sever since. Perfect amount of heat, seasoning, and comfort. Our server was so friendly and inviting, and their beer/cider list will ensure a return trip. Oh...and great honey mustard!

ML Rose is an overall good spot. Atmosphere is just your normal burger joint but they do have a really nice outside patio. Burger is really good. Smashed Pattie's with their own animal sauce. Fries are waffle fries which I don't mind. The best part about this place is the ranch though. Some of the best ranch in Nashville.

Mood: Lunch & Beers included This place in the Nations is really cool. Unexpectedly big indoor & outdoor space Very sports themed- which ai love & super friendly staff. Did feel like they were understaffed for a lunch time but still kind. Goodies: Beer flight 10/10 love trying a variety of beers Goat Burger 8/10: that pesto was over powering and a lot of it. Turkey Patty was. Cooked perfectly. Cajun grilled turkey 8/10: there wasn't any spice to have been a Cajun burger. Again my preferences on things. Overall will return for more burgers & beers. We just got into town and this was walking distance from our AirBNB. We sat at bar and the service was excellent. We both got flights of 5 beers. They were cold and very good. The bone in dry rub Cajun wings with house made ranch were excellent. My wife got the Combo burger, fries and beer. Very well cooked and plenty of food. Place has sports bar atmosphere. We would definitely visit again.

The ANM.L. burger was great!! Had a few drinks and enjoyed just hanging out with family. Great service!! The waitress was very friendly.

Went for trivia but we went on the day Michigan won the championship so trivia turned into football watching with good food. Our waitress was super nice and checked in a couple times while we were there. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was sooooo good. Super crispy chicken and perfect ratio from chicken to veggies. Big fan. The fries were pretty good- salty and crispy. I definitely want to try to do trivia again

This might be my favorite burger place! While they are smash burgers, they are really flavorful! They have fun combos! The restaurant gets busy but it is a nice spot, especially when it's nice weather outside. Highly recommend!

Have been coming here since they first opened and have always enjoyed this place. They have a good size selection of items on their menu with vegetarian alternatives which I appreciate, there is always good amounts of seating, they have great happy hour options, and the servers are always so nice. I do recommend!

We only ate, so I can't speak to the beer selection, but the food was good. Service was super confusing at first. We waited maybe 15 minutes and no one came to check on us or bring drinks. After inquiring about our server, the manager came immediately. She apologized, brought free fries, and our food order was moved to the front. Can't ask for any better. Burgers were good. Fries were good. Pretzel bites were good. I have no complaints.

Went here before a concert at Marathon Music Works, just down the street. It took a minute to get our order taken because it was super packed, but the service was excellent once they got to us. The menu is simple and easy to pick from, but they still showcase variety within the types of burgers available. They also have options for salad, chicken wraps, etc for people that don't like burgers but honestly the burgers are where they shine. The food itself was phenomenal. Very juicy and flavorful burgers. I also loved their super thick house ranch. 10/10 would come again just for the burgers. They had a huge selection of local beers and ciders. I wanted to get a flight so I can enjoy the variety, but was a little disappointed to learn the beers are pre-selected for the flight and were not the type I normally get. Maybe in future they could have 2-3 different flight types with more variety (like one light beer flight, one cider flight, one dark beer flight, one IPA flight). Or let people pick from the whole menu.

Great burgers and so many beers. I came here for lunch and sat at the bar. The burgers have gluten free bun options which is a bonus for me. Their on tap beer menu was about 40 beers. They also have additional ones in cans/bottles. The bartender was attentive and nice. He did confirm that the fries are fried in soybean oil - so that was a no go for us. The place was nice and had several tvs with sports on it, so this is likely a great place to watch a game.

The best selection of craft beer I've ever seen. When you go to a brewery, you only get their selections, and a normal bar will only have a few options. This place has so many options of local beer and other craft beer as well. I had to get a flight to try several I had my eye on. Surprised to find they don't have many ML Rose beers but I liked the one I had!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff. We started with the pretzel bites which smelled amazing and tasted very good. I originally wanted the loaded sweet potato fries but the top oven wasn't working so I opted for the turkey club instead. It was also very good so I'm not disappointed. For a sports bar, it's pretty hard to keep the noise level down but even with the Titans playing, it was easy to hold a conversation while still watching the game which I really enjoyed. Our waiter was also very friendly - even when I spilled my water everywhere.

ML Rose thumps up the restaurant is decorated nicely, a modern style. The employees are friendly and polite, addressing all questions. The service was fast and there was a full house. The was very good I had a buffalo chicken wrap. It was very delicious.. I can't remember the name of that frozen drink in the picture but it's a must try.

Food and service was good. First time trying it out, didn't disappoint. Would come back and bring my family from out of town.

This location of M.L. Rose is one of four in the Nashville Metro area and sits directly on Charlotte Avenue in the Sylvan Park area of the west end. M.L. Rose is known for a few things in town, but mainly for their massive beer lists and of course, their burgers! We decided to have both on our recent visit in. Food wise, the menu is not expansive, but what it lacks in food choices, it makes up for in drink selections. You do have your choice of a few appetizers get you started before that burger hits the table, and we decided to go with the Loaded Skillet Queso. It was your standard queso, but fancied up with chorizo, corn salsa and grilled jalapenos, and it was pretty tasty! They could up the amount of chips they give you in the first round, but you can get extras when needed. About half way through our appetizer, we tossed in our order for dinner. I went with the classic, ANM.L. style burger with sweet potato fries and my partner got the Turkey Club with regular fries. The burger was excellent! The bun was toasted yet soft, the patties were thin but still juicy, the cheese was melted to perfection and the toppings were just enough. The Turkey Club was a solid sandwich, piled high with turkey and crisp bacon! Fries were decent. I usually prefer sweet potato over regular, but the sweet potato fries were a little tough, not in an over-fried way, but just texture wise. Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and of course the drinks! Service was the only thing that was off about our night. It was not enough to keep us away in the future, but we are hopeful for a different experience next time!

Such yummy reasonably priced food! They offer a 25% discount for military, police and firefighters! Service was very quick and such a good vibe in the restaurant, nice outdoor seating area as well. Restrooms are very well kept and they have a baby changing station! Definitely looking forward to returning.

Waited 10 minutes before waiter even showed up at table! He Asked for drink orders! We ordered drinks and food at same time! Waiter never came back until time for check! Really !!! Service sucked!!!! Tip was reflective of service!

Great burger place when you're looking for good burgers, delicious fries, and good beer. Their appetizer which is sweet potato fries, pulled pork, and a honey mustard barbecue sauce is out of this world delicious. Super fatty and heavy, so a beer definitely is a must to help it go down. As always M.L. Rose is the perfect spot for after work happy hours. We had a group of 10 of us on a Tuesday afternoon and had no issues finding seating and being able to stay for many hours. The staff are friendly and attentive. I'm always a fan of their sweet potato waffle fries - make sure to ask for honey mustard on the side!

We just returned from enjoying a lovely Monday night outside with our dog at ML Rose. I started with a glass of Rose - which you might not think would be good at a town that specializes in Beer. You would be wrong. I loved my glass of Rose. AND - the waitress knew it was on happy hour w/o me telling her. That to me is something great - where I don't have to watch the prices. We each got burgers - I got the Belgian Burger and my husband got the Sgt Pepper. I was concerned about how big the burger would be - w/ the two patties, but the bun was so soft and "not huge" that I was able to eat it w/o any issues. We thought both burgers were juicy and the ingredients contained in both were wonderful. I would come here again.

We came here for their renowned Turkey Burger. Unfortunately, it is no longer on the menu. It was one of the best but the waitress informed us that they are revamping the menu (again), and that it shall make its return. We had the Raspberry Salad w/ Chicken which was bland. My child was please with the Kid's Burger & Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. We also had the Sgt. Pepper Burger (They have four other unique specialty burgers). The toppings of the Sgt. Pepper were delicious, the burger itself was average, & the bun was underwhelming (it was like a piece of bread left out in the sun. The service was good initially but waned after we received our meals which is not uncommon these days. Overall, not a bad burger joint (one of the better ones in Nashville) but disappointing because they are not what they used to be. Good drinks and a cozy dive bar atmosphere.

Honestly I had extremely high expectations for this restaurant ... I've heard the burgers are amazing. Immediately I thought it would be my new go to hangover cure. No. We waited so long for our order of Nachos for our apps they were cold when they came out. Still good but would have been better hot. Then when the food came out it was also all cold. Everyone at my table was pretty disappointed. I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt so I'll be back and maybe they can redeem themselves!

Wait staff is friendly. We were there late, so our waitress was switched out, which was weird because she was still there. Everything seemed fine, but who knows? The food was ok. I'm willing to give it another shot, but it's not going to be my first choice. Decent sports bar atmosphere, but I'm really not that into that. I like to have things a little quieter so I can talk with the people I'm with. The TVs are a bit distracting (yeah, I'm ADHD as hell). Basically, some people will live this place, some will be ok with it. I'm ok with it, and willing to go back. Just not a first choice.

Food was ok. Portions kinda small for the price. burger nothing special. wings were pretty good. Service was a bit slow but they were friendly. Overall good but nothing to write home about.

Staff very nice; delicious cider & beer; laid back atmosphere. But the worst burger and sweet potato fries I've had in a long time. Too bad, M.L. Rose, for calling yourself a burger joint. Maybe I hit you on a bad night, but I had a hockey puck for a meal.

We love M.L. Rose, but will not do brunch here again. Came in on 10/23, and was greeted by a non-smiling or welcoming hostess. We decided to try their brunch for the first time. It took about 25-30 minutes to get our food. The chicken biscuit had some issues - it was more like a fast food chicken and biscuit. Biscuit was not made in house, and it was nine dollars. The chicken tasted like it was not cooked properly or possibly had gone slightly bad. We couldn't finish them. Hash brown casserole had good flavor, but the potatoes were slightly raw. The cinnamon roll waffle was really great. Service was okay. One helpful suggestion is to have your servers bus the table as the meal goes. We had multiple empty cups by the end of our meal on a very small table. We appreciated the manager coming out to chat about the issues. We will stick to burgers next time!

the food was amazing ! my daughter came in town so me her boyfriend and my youngest daughter stopped in and when i say elaine was amazing her service great , we has the queso dip great ! lemon pepper wings great ! , buffalo chicken wrap great ! , chicken sandwich great ! , sweet potato fries great ! oooooooohhhhh the price yeah all under 100.00 plus drinks . good music too

We had so much fun at M.L.Rose. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I liked the swings by the fireplace the most. It's a really nice casual place to relax while the kids play golf and jinga. The servings were large and we sat outside on the swings and ate our meal. The service was outstanding and friendly.

Servers openly admits to enforcing ID checks only for people they *think* are under 30 and do not accept valid id from tourists from Canada who are over 21. The bartender was super condescending and would not allow a 30 year to purchase a beer because she was from Canada and thus didn't have a US ID. Would not recommend going here ... for anything.

This is a chain restaurant and every location is different. The nicest location is the one at capital view. The location on Charlotte is fun, it's got an outdoor golf course and nice seating . It's a little messier because it's busy in the summer time. The food is good, but not as good as it looked online. The fries were kind-of greasy but I guess at the end of the day it is bar food. Service was nice, I had to check in on my order and it had been ready for a while and sitting there so it was a little soggy when I ate it. I guess I was the one who got away. I think if your going to get a table and have a server that way, you might get better service. The Togo gets a little neglected. But they do have an impossible burger and vegan options so that's a lot to expect from this type of place. Kind-of a tourist/college vibe.

I have been to other ML rose locations multiple times and I always order the black bean crunch salad or the black bean nachos. The online menu for this location had both items listed, and my mom and I both wanted to order the salad. Sadly when we were seated and looked at the menu, the salad wasn't listed, and neither were the nachos. We decided to ask our server if it was possible to order the salad. Unfortunately, a server never came to our table. We waited for about 15 mins and watched all the tables around us get served. We were considering leaving to go somewhere else and the final straw was when a spider crawled across my menu (we were sitting inside). I would give this location another try since I've had good experiences at other locations, but we were disappointed and ended up leaving without anyone ever coming to our table.

Beware, had fraud on my credit card after I used it at this establishment. Pay cash only. When I phoned the manager they said it was not them. He said, "we don't hire people who would do that"....lol Then it was an employee! Card had not been used in 2 months. 20 min after I left your establishment the fraud began. Take ownership!

We just had the Porter Road Smash Burger, you need lots of napkins but well worth it. They only have 1 dessert but how can you go wrong with a Rocky Road Skillet Cookie. Not enough room this time but will definitely try it on our next visit.

The sign said to seat yourself so we chose outside. The patio area is great for groups. There is a fire pit and garden golf area for customers to enjoy. The meal options are limited but everything on it sounds good. There are a variety of beers on the menu. Our server Trevor was very helpful with the options we made. Everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. The only complaint is after our food came, flies began attacking us. The margarita and mule weren't the best we have had but they weren't the worst either. If you're in the area give it a try.

LOTs of beers on tap-counted 34 on the board. Waffle fries were great. Grilled chicken, cz, bacon sandwich was not. Flat, dry, little flavor. Bartender was friendly and kept glasses full. Ordered lunch at 1:00 but took about 25 minutes to get it. Fun decor throughout. Bar top was sticky and needed wiping down. Had to move over a couple seats due to HVAC vent dripping onto me. Parking spaces were few and it seemed silly to have 4 dedicated TOGO parking spots, all warning of towing anyone not waiting on a TOGO order. Just a so-so visit. We've been one other time previously and the food was much better. We'll try it again but probably not u til we try several others in the area.

Excellent burger. Excellent service. Excellent beer. Excellent music. Excellent ambiance. Even the side salad had a wonderful attention to detail, with each plant shredded in various sizes. Eat here. It's way better than its 3.5 star rating.

We're big fans of ML Rose basically for one reason: chicken nachos. The burgers and beer selection are good too but the nachos keep us coming back! Service is usually about average, but it's a chill atmosphere and a casual place to stop and grab a beer and a quick bite.

We went to the Melrose location prior to a Nash SC game. We loved the atmosphere and got a great seat at the bar. My husband does not drink alcohol and were very happy to see they had quite a few selections on the menu. I know they are known for their burgers, but my husband still makes a better Animal Style! The wings were great! Our bartenders were very attentive and the other patrons were very friendly. We will be back

the bacon was SO crispy. I wish the loaded fries had a little bit more toppings, but the AMN L was loaded! So much flavor in both. The ranch was AMAZING. By far the best ranch I've ever had. So good I bought a few to go.

Second time eating dinner here and it was fantastic. They had my favorite beer, Gotta Get Up to Get Down from Wiseacre on tap that paired great with the Southern Belle Burger. Also found out that the dipping sauces from our pretzel bites went really well with our fries. Also our server Matthew was the best! He took really good care of us

I used to love this place. It was my hands down favorite. Now the wait is always 30+ min and the food is a 45+min on top of that. There's never a a manager on site and most of the employees seem rushed and pissed. Today we waited 2 hrs and never got our food. We asked for a manager and waited 10 min but they never came so we walked out. This used to be my fav place but sadly I won't be back.

SGT Pepper is the best!! Great food and amazing service from Matthew as per usual. Very consistent and that is what we love about this place and our favorite server! Thanks Matthew!!!!
