Celebrated my boyfriend’s 30th birthday at MO Lounge inside the Mandarin Oriental on the 35th floor, and the whole experience felt incredibly luxurious truly a “billionaire vibe” kind of night. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. We ordered the ribs and the chicken sandwich, and the ribs were the star of the night super tender and packed with flavor. The cocktails were excellent too. We were served complimentary nuts and olives, and the cheesecake dessert plus two peppermint teas were gifted to us, which made the celebration feel even more special. My boyfriend was genuinely so happy. The space is beautiful, but just a heads-up: the food is on the pricier side, which is expected for a place like this. My only disappointment was the view situation. I specifically chose MO Lounge for the Central Park view, but since we went at night, it was too dark to see anything. We also didn’t get a window seat, which took away from the experience a bit. Still, the service, food, and overall atmosphere made it a memorable birthday celebration, and it’s definitely a spot worth visiting for a special occasion.

The MO Lounge in New York delivers exactly what you hope for from Mandarin Oriental: quiet luxury, polished service, and a view that does a lot of the talking. The space feels airy and calm with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Manhattan skyline, while the seating and table setting keep things comfortably upscale without being stiff. Food and presentation are a standout. The plating is refined and intentional—from a beautifully prepared tartare topped with a glossy egg yolk and delicate garnishes, to a perfectly roasted main set over a silky purée. Even the small touches (fresh bread service, Saratoga water, pristine coffee) reinforce the attention to detail. Finish with the elegant chocolate dessert topped with a hint of gold, and it’s an easy five-star lounge experience for a leisurely lunch or a special afternoon.

I had a wonderful experience at the Mandarin Oriental Lounge in Columbus Circle. The location alone makes it worth a visit — the view overlooking Central Park is absolutely breathtaking, especially with the backdrop of New York’s high-rise buildings. It’s one of those spots where you can sit back, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective. The food and drinks were excellent. I really enjoyed the bonzini and the club sandwich, both of which were prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully. The cappuccino was smooth and well made, while the Earl Grey tea was brewed perfectly and made for a comforting companion to the meal. To finish, the chocolate leaves dessert was outstanding — rich, delicate, and the perfect sweet ending to the experience. Service was just as impressive as the food and views. The staff were professional, attentive, and made the whole visit feel effortless. It’s clear they place a strong emphasis on hospitality, which really enhances the overall atmosphere. All in all, the Mandarin Oriental Lounge combines excellent food, thoughtful service, and one of the most stunning views in Manhattan. It’s a spot I’d highly recommend whether you’re looking for a relaxed afternoon tea, a light meal, or simply a place to enjoy the city skyline.

Google
We found the space and views to be very nice. But the atmosphere was loud, hard to converse, loud pop music, not the vibe we were expecting at all. Service was good, not 5-star but very good, attentive. Tea was plentiful. Food was a mixed bag. Scones were outstanding, but given just a tiny bit of clotted cream and jam for four people to have with two scones each. We should have each had a clotted cream and a jam. The sandwiches were good, but had been sitting out, the bread on the end ones was not soft and fresh, but in the middle ones where air not getting to them, it was soft on the sides. The desserts ranged from very good for lychee and strawberry to ok for a cake that I believe was almond flavored. The pistachio one was good, but did not taste like pistachios. All in all, mostly enjoyable, but was expecting close to perfection at that price point ($130 pp).

Google
This is just a very overpriced “hotel” restaurant, with mediocre food, a complete lack of coordination between the kitchen and the (disappearing) service staff, and lots of managers standing around. We got our main twenty minutes before the appetizer and it got worse from there. The atmosphere is upscale Marriott, especially the chairs. The hamachi was decent but the shrimp bland and the chicken katsu very thin.

Google
As everyone notes, the views are spectacular. Service was very slow and not attentive. We ordered seltzer and had to ask for it twice after that. The sandwiches were subpar and aside from that seemed like they had been sitting for many hours if not a whole day. Pastries were good. Scones were excellent. Not worth the price, for sure.

Google
The best view of Central Park and the surrounding skyscrapers! I had visited with a friend several years back and had great memories of their wine and a delicious app we had ordered. I arrived around 3:30pm on a Wednesday as a walk in and was seated right away. I wasn't right next to the window but still had a good view. This time I was just looking for a drink to enjoy until it was time to head to the airport. They had a very extensive cocktail menu based on the elements. I ordered their Sakura season cocktail. The staff also brought out a complimentary selection of rice crackers, olives, and wasabi peas. The cocktail was a little sweet for my liking but still enjoyable. The prices are steep but you're paying for the view, so to me it's well worth it.

Google
Our server, Nathaniel, made our evening spectacular! I have always enjoyed visiting the Mandarin Oriental because I am guaranteed to have a nice experience, interact with wonderful people, and enjoy all of the food and drinks that are served. It is for these reasons that I sought out visiting the location in New York, I made a reservation for a sunset dinner and it was exquisite! This is on my shortlist for places to routinely visit when I am in New York City, and I hope to introduce my friends to this location as well.

Yelp
MO lounge is pure class. Beautiful view of Central Park. Loved the wine list and caviar. Have dinner or even high tea and still be satisfied. Diverse crowd, old money mixed with hotel guest families, as well as the occasional group of over makeup-ed plastic looking single ladies who are looking for rich men. Regardless, if you want an enclosed view of Central Park and a diverse menu, this is your place. Best Sancerre I've ever had.

Yelp
This review is for tea on a Tuesday afternoon. Head up to the 35th floor and you get an absolutely stunning view of Central Park. We were seated immediately for our 1 pm reservation right next to a window with the stunning view. Our waiter stopped by to tell us the oolong tea wasn't available and came back a few minutes later to take our order. He never came back after that except to drop off the check 1.5 hours later. The rest of the staff were accommodating, but no one checked on us. (We had to ask for more tap water.) On the one hand, I appreciate us having lots of time to enjoy the tea, but on the other hand, for $130 tea plus an 18% gratuity, I'd have liked the waiter to refill our tap water and/or our hot water for the tea, or even to check to see how we were doing. As far as the food itself - the sandwiches, desserts, and scones were some of the best I've had at teas in NYC. the sandwiches seemed hearty and they had an excellent array of desserts. Scones with the clotted cream and strawberry rhubarb jam definitely hit the spot and were a highlight. I think if the service was better, I'd be more inclined to come back, but was honestly a little shocked at the service at an establishment like this. I've never been to this hotel chain before... Because it's usually out of my price range, but me and the girls wanted to splurge. While the food and tea were not disappointing, the experience kind of was for the price.

Yelp
I had an amazing calm experience here. All of the staff were so helpful, kind and attentive. The food was delicious. You can taste that nothing is rushed and all ingredients are great quality. I love the decor. Perfect setup, beautiful but not too much going on. The view does the talking. It was my birthday and I ordered dessert, only to find out at the end that it was on the house. So so kind. I'll be back in a few!

Yelp
MO Lounge offers an incredible experience with stunning views of the city, elegant ambiance, and exceptional service. The cocktails are perfectly crafted. We had the dap spa and fire in the sky specialty cocktails and they tasted amazing. A must-visit spot in New York for a memorable night out!

Yelp
Stopped in during a stay in NYC for drinks. An impressive selection of cocktails with clear/accurate descriptions. Delicious cocktails and served with olives, mixed nuts and wasabi peas. Fantastic elevated cocktails with spectacular views of Columbus circle and Central Park south. The war add is fantastic and very attentive.

Yelp
One of the best rooftop bars in New York. We love how close it is to Central Park, making the view very pleasant, and the lack of crowd or waiting line that I usually found there, makes it better - you are often able to just drop by if you're in the area! The staff is very lovely and always takes care of the customer as best as they can - including taking allergies seriously into account, giving out blankets, and staying longer to get to know the customer. We celebrated my namesday there with some friends a while back and it was a great decision. The drinks are delicious - although quite pricey, even for the standard of the location, but their salmon is really what I remember to be my favorite. Appetizers are nice and large - ideal to split with a friend/partner.

Yelp
Dropped by for tea; Saturday, 12:30, amazing time to settle in - still quiet. Seated in the corner with a great view overlooking Columbus Circle despite the clouds and intermittent drizzle. Platter was a perfect balance of sweet, savory and neutral bites. My favorites for each were: The Bee (Golden honey, Medovick cake, caramelized mousse), the smoked salmon sandwich and the ginger scone paired with rose petal jam, respectively. I like that staff are readily available to assist but never feel like they're hovering.

Yelp
I love visiting NYC during the holidays. After a morning at the Whitney with my friend L to see the Alvin Ailey exhibit, we ventured to Columbus Circle to have afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental. Part of the draw is the view from the MO Lounge located on the 35th floor overlooking Central Park. We perused the Columbus Circle Christmas market before heading to afternoon tea. Since it was Christmas, the hotel was fully decorated and there was a group of Christmas carolers in the lobby which is near the lounge. Definitely put us in the holiday spirit. After reviewing the cocktail list and selecting a tea, we had a lovely leisurely afternoon catching up. Afternoon tea of course involves scones with lemon curd and butter, tea sandwiches, and dainty desserts. For my tea, I selected Golden Lily Milk Oolong and L ordered Silver Tip Jasmine. We also ordered a few cocktails. The cocktails are really interesting and the cocktail menu is quite detailed. There is a chart divided into sections - Refreshing, Light, Rich and Boozy. The drinks are further segmented into the following categories: Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal. Let's just say we had a hard time figuring out what to order as all the cocktails sounded amazing. Before they take your order they also ask about allergies. L is allergic to mushroom so they provided her with a different kind of tea sandwich to replace the one with mushrooms. Afternoon tea is not meant to fill your tummy with a lot of food but I was surprisingly quite full after eating every single thing. It's the holidays - 'tis the season for eating. I highly recommend afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental. Be forewarned...it's definitely a splurge especially after you add a few cocktails to your bill. However, we knew going it it might be pricey so we were not surprised. And as I said before, we had a wonderful time with a great view of the park.

Yelp
Overall: At the end of the day this is just an overpriced hotel restaurant. We went here for some drinks on a special occasion hoping for a fancy atmosphere with views of the park and skyline. They had an elaborate drink menu that gave us hope, but overall it ended up being a pretty average experience. Food: 3 Drinks: 2 Service: 3 Value: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Food: We ordered the cheese plate as a snack. It came with three types of cheese, bread, and other spreads. It was pretty good but all of the cheeses were very similar. I thought it could have hand more variety. Drinks: They had an elaborate menu that broke out drinks between different themes and then provided a mapping of different characteristics. None of the drinks stood out and seemed to go against the listed profiles. For how much they cost I expected more. Service: Service was pretty average. Our waiter was attentive and took our orders, but didn't add much else. Nothing good, nothing bad. Value: All of the prices are jacked up because it's in a fancy hotel. The drinks were $25-27 each and the cheese platter was $35. Atmosphere: Unless you're right by the window (larger tables only) you don't really get any of the advertised view. In fact, the only thing you could really see was a glowing Nordstrom billboard. Aside from that, we were hoping for an elevated experience. Instead, this seems to just be the convenient place for families staying at the hotel to grab a bite to eat, meaning there's children running all over. Not exactly fancy cocktail lounge vibes.

Yelp
Terrific service as usual, what you'd expect from MOHG. A single waiter for our table of 12 who was extremely attentive & didn't miss a beat, kudos! The food is always delicious, the sandwiches were outstanding but the scones with rose preserve was out of this world!

Yelp
I had to use my dining credit that I received as a perk, so even though I was out for a meal earlier, I figured I might be able to get something to go. Service from the host was very friendly/helpful; he was consistent on checking up on my order, and was just 'on' which I appreciated. For this order, I had the club sandwich (turkey, tomato relish, bacon, lettuce, lemon basil aioli on ciabatta) with chips at $35, and a random side of mashed potatoes, $18. This took about 15 minutes and when I received my order, everything was wrapped appropriately. This was just okay; the tomato relish was almost similar to pizza sauce that was just spread onto the sandwich; a sliced tomato would have worked much better. Bacon wasn't crispy, but that is my personal preference. The bread option being ciabatta didn't work for this type of sandwich (someone else posted their version from years ago that looked much better). I did opt for the aioli on the side and I'm glad I did; dipping the chips into this and even adding some into the mashed potatoes was a good idea. Didn't even finish the other half of the sandwich and although I would have loved to have gone out and given this away, I also knew that in this part of town, I wasn't going to find anyone with such a need. There is a service charge on every order even though I didn't eat on the premises nor did I have it delivered which is frustrating, and this adds an additional nearly $10 extra due to that and tax. They do have a great location right off the check-in area/lobby and of course the view is coveted, but so much more could be done here. Perhaps their tea and other dishes measure up, and maybe I didn't get it right this time.

Yelp
A nice, upscale cocktail bar on the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Service was friendly and professional throughout. We stopped by for a cocktail on a Friday night to connect with a friend, and this was a good spot to do so. It wasn't too noisy inside, so we were able to hold a conversation and not have to strain to hear one another. A nice and intimate environment, it's perfect for a date night. The Jardin Gotham cocktail was delicious, had lemon and honey notes but not overly so, and the Prosecco made it bubbly and bright.

Yelp
We did the afternoon tea here for our anniversary. 1 star only for the view and decent spread of pastries and sandwiches. -4 stars for the service. When you are spending $170 per person for afternoon tea (tax and fee included) you expect the following at a minimum: 1. Your anniversary to be acknowledged 2. The waiter to walk you through the tea options and menu with some level of enthusiasm 3. Your tea to be poured and refilled as needed None of the above 3 were met which is mind blowing. Service here is like you're at a diner at midnight. This place needs to step up.

Yelp
Ordered: Sakura Season Cocktail (~$25): Haku vodka, cherry blossom sake, lychee Complimentary Snacks: rice crackers, wasabi-coated green peas, and olives Aya's take: We were in the area looking to grab a quick drink and decided on the MO Lounge. Super classy, sophisticated, and discreet. Perfect spot for date night drinks, a lowkey conversation, or just to unwind with a view. Their cocktail menu is based on the Five Elements in ancient Chinese philosophy (wood, fire, earth, metal, water). Each element has a certain color, flavor, and energy to it translating into this curated cocktail menu. They even have a chart that tells you where a certain cocktail falls on the spectrum of refreshing vs. boozy and light vs. rich. The Sakura Season, under the Wood element, was described as floral, botanical, and clean. I would also add 3 more words - sweet, delicate, and luscious. It was easy to sip on, tasted delicious, and was overall quite refreshing. My only complaint would be it's such a small volume compared to the glass it's in and the price point. The Complimentary Snacks, attention to tiny details (you get a cloth instead of a napkin for your drink), and the service all made this an even more enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Bar is fabulous. Best place to stumble around while spilling $28 Martinis. But seriously, it's a great bar with awesome views, comfortable couches, and a really posh atmosphere. This is the kind of bar that you might want to catch up with an old friend, bring a date, or even conduct a few business deals.

Yelp
Great view, great ambiance (fresh orchid at each table), elegant decors, amazing location, OK food (really overpriced), OK service (considering it's part of Mandarin Oriental). Some dishes are misleadingly named really. For example, how can they call it a steak when it's really Chinese-style stir-fry sliced beef? No wonder they didn't ask how the guest liked their steak cooked. Food presentation had a wow factor but taste wise, sadly, there's nothing to write home about, especially considering how many top Asian restaurants there are in the Big Apple. Their sea bass was tender and fresh, and the sauce presentation at the table of course was very nice. But too simple (literally just the bass, a few leaves of bok choy, and rice!). Tiny portion even for girls. There's a mocktail that's really just hot tea. It's served warm. It's basically honey lemon tea. But nicely presented. Very limited (small) menu -- all Asian inspired. The view would be what you come here for, day or night. Direct view on Columbus Circle and the Central Park. Stunning even when it rains.

Yelp
TL:DR: Very poor service for a $300+ price tag for two My sister and I indicated that we can't eat pork in our reservation. The first question the waitress asks us is, "It says you can't eat pork, but is pork gelatin ok?" Apparently all of their cakes have pork except for the cheesecake. They have a vegan afternoon tea menu so they were able to swap our cakes for the vegan ones, but the waitress seemed to be panicking or stressed about not being able to accommodate us. When she eventually came with our afternoon tea tray, she slammed it on the table. The desserts they swapped the cakes out for were plain chocolate chip cookies, freezer burned mochi ice cream, and a single chocolate covered strawberry each - but the price tag stayed the same. The sandwiches were fine, but comparable to afternoon teas I've had for half the price. Yea was fine, if weak. The scones and the rose petal jelly were the highlight. Overall, the hotel staff are friendly and lovely, but the MO Lounge staff seem stressed, unhappy, and unfriendly.

Yelp
Wow - what an experience! I was unfamiliar with Mandarin Oriental Lounge before I visited and anytime I've shared that I visited, I've been met with oooh's and aaah's! I imagine it's a lovely stay, but this review is solely for après dinner drinks. Located in the iconic Circle area and overviewing Central Park and the Manhattan skyline, the MO lounge is gorgeously designed with clean, curvy lines and ornamental fabrics and patterns. When we stepped off the elevator, we were immediately ushered in as a party of 5 and immediately seated at a table by the windows. Looking back, I think it was quite late and close to closing, so much thanks to the staff that obliged us. There was ample seating. A few of us ordered wines, another a cocktail, one an Irish coffee, myself a cocktail: Walk in the Park ($26), 5/5 - gin, tonic, botanicals, cucumber, elderflower - this was elegant and delicious, very light, floral, and refreshing thanks to the cucumber! Take a look at my photos for the gorgeous presentation. You are provided with salty, Asian-inspired crunchy snacks such as wasabi peas, and more, complimentary with your drinks. A special thank you to staff - our server informed us there were fireworks visible outside in a separate room, overlooking Central Park. That was so kind of our server and such a nice touch! I believe there was a film event in the Park, hence the fireworks. Thank you Mandarin Oriental! If I return to NYC, I will certainly come back.

Yelp
MO Lounge is one of those great Manhattan spots for a power vantage point view, overlooking Columbus Circle, Central Park South and the southern portion of Central Park. Adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel's 35th floor Lobby, this stylish venue offers well crafted cocktails and more. It was the perfect spot for us. After a 2 week visit, my departing old friend had 35 minutes for a quick single drink in the evening before heading to Carnegie Hall for a concert. Wanted a new experience for him that captured something uniquely New York to end his trip. Called ahead to request a table adjacent to the window to ensure one would be available. The tables in our section all had seats with access to lounge's view. Because of the room structure, background conversations slightly drowned out our voices at first, but that resolved itself and, of course, the real draw is that amazing view. Service was friendly and swift. My Manhattan made with bourbon was so smooth. My friend enjoyed "A Walk in The Park," their variety of a Hendricks Gin & Tonic, adding Botanicals, Cucumber and Elderflower. The thin slice of cucumber lined the inside of his glass. His daughter was served a healthy-sized glass of white wine. Next time, I might try their Yuzumi Pear cocktail with Toki Whiskey, Yuzu, Pear and Ginger Beer. Be aware - They automatically add an 18% "Service Fee" on the bill, which is "distributed towards the staff," so you may not feel the need to include an additional tip.

Yelp
Came here for drinks one Sunday night. The amount of liquid in my negroni was kind of a joke. The waitress came by once after the drinks came to confirm everything was good and then was never again to be found for a water refill after my party decided not to order another round (why would I given the heinous pour of my first drink). I wasn't surprise when I saw the tip was already included in the bill at the end.

Yelp
Be careful if you're looking for a late dinner I arrived post-The Outsiders at 10pm on a Friday night. I put my name on the waiting list. I was seated at 10:35 pm; my server informed me that the kitchen was closed. It's a lovely space -- but an oddity: I was told that they closed their bar during COVID and have yet to reopen it. (It's December, 2024.) So the MO Lounge has no actual bar.

Caitlin B.

Yelp
This is a review for afternoon tea. The food was very good, and because of that, I feel bad for the chefs. The lower rating is because of the service and atmosphere. Our food was dropped off, and we were not checked on one time after that happened. It was also difficult to flag people down to help when we needed it. There was also a moderately high amount of service noise coming into the dining room--clanking plates, dishes, things being cleaned. Two things that surprised me is that they have a glass wall between the dining room and the service bar--not an actual wall (why not an actual wall?). They also actively vacuumed (like with a Dyson) after each guest left--I have never been to nice tea where they break out a vacuum in the middle of service--it destroys the atmosphere. We asked for the check, then waited over 20 minutes to receive it--my husband had to remind them because they forgot. Do no go here for a nice tea experience.

Yelp
My brother took me out for my birthday, General Manager Sam and the entire staff made my birthday experience sublime! The ambiance was swanky, elegant and mellow. Furthermore, the lounge located on 35th floor had the most incredible and panoramic views of Central Park and Columbus Circle. My personal favorite touch were the fresh orchids on each table. We had champagne to start the celebration! Afterwards, we started with two cocktails suggested by the amazingly friendly server. Also, the food was superb! Additionally, for our appetizers, we had the octopus carpaccio, the roasted red pepper hummus with warm char-grilled pita bread and the fresh burrata salad with arugula. Next, for our entrees we enjoyed the Wonton Soup and the hangar steak. All cooked to perfection! To finish off the night, we had a personalized cake just for me (my birthday). All in all, staff made us feel so welcomed from the moment we walked in til the moment we left. I have never felt more grateful for an incredibly memorable birthday experience! Thank you to the entire FOH and BOH staff for going up and beyond to make me feel the love! Would definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Quiet and quaint lounge with the most breath taking views of Columbus circle and Central Park. I was here in the fall time and the cocktail menu fit the fall scene perfectly. The espresso martini came with a cute fake leaf attached and the Smokin Hot Toddy was delicious! I was not expecting the Hot Toddy to be as refreshing as it was. Highly recommend, especially if you are settling back after a long day of exploring the city. Service was also great. Our waitress was excellent and when she left during shift change, the waiter picked right back up where she left off. I was very pleased with the service here. Overall, highly recommend grabbing a drink to scope out the views. While the drinks are pricey, the views are worth it. One thing to note - - if you are not staying at the hotel, you can't get the window seats. No fear though, the views are amazing from anywhere you are sitting and you can always walk up to the window and snag a picture :-)

Yelp
Came here for high tea on a weekday. We had a reservation and were seated by the window, however, it was very sunny, so we had to scoot back a few rows. The view was still stunning. I tried the Rudd Barrel Cabernet Tea, and it had a nice balanced flavor. The sandwiches, scones, and desserts were presented beautifully. My fave sandwich was the truffled egg salad. The lobster and caviar roll was also yum. The jams and jellies that came with the scones were very nice. My fave dessert was the autumn leaf - so decadent yet the sweetness was not over-powering. At $125, this is on the steeper side for high tea, but I think it's worth the experience!

Yelp
We went to the MO Lounge for a nightcap after dinner and the views and dirty martini did not disappoint. I would go as far as to say this was the filthiest martini I've had in NYC

Yelp
I love MO Lounge, what a great spot to meet up with friends, Clients or business partners. Bright and beautiful view. The staff is so friendly as well. I've been here a few times and this last time was for a celebration for a friend launching her consulting business. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Afternoon Tea service was disappointing. The waitstaff were very inattentive. After they brought us our tea tray and tea they never returned to see if we needed anything. Took us over 15 minutes to get staff attention to bring water and refill our tea pots with hot water. Also, when requested a refill on tea sandwich items we were informed they don't offer refills but could purchase individually. Wow, I have been taking my daughters for tea service over the past 30 years and this is the first place that refused refills. Even in London refills were offered (not requested). Surprising given the expense.

Yelp
Our team was in town during the World Series, and we hosted the wives and girlfriends of our team at the MO Lounge for afternoon tea! It was amazing! They really nailed all the little details and you just can't beat the view. All of our guests really enjoyed themselves, and everything was perfect.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this space out after my travel agent recommended the hotel to me during a recent visit to NYC. I googled it and this place is elegant and beautiful with an excellent view and location. So this time around, I made sure to book this for dinner with my fiancee. We arrived promptly and checked in just in time for our reservation. Fortunately a table by the window with a gorgeous view of Central Park opened up and this is where we were seated. It's the hotel bar lounge so it's not like a fine dining establishment but they do have a small menu of food items and the view is what you really come for. Our service started out a bit rough as we asked some menu questions and it seemed our server didn't want to respond or tell us... My fiancee asked if there was a whiskey menu and the server simply said, "We have everything you could want". My fiancee said "OK, so what are the prices?" The server didn't want to answer that and said he didn't have them and walked away to get our waters. Around this exact moment the man seated in front of us began cussing the same server out and asked for a manager because he said he was not going to pay these ridiculous prices for three drinks, started talking very loudly about how it was bulls*** and slamming things around. Eventually, he was whisked away while I googled the drink menu that they DO have posted online. It's expensive... think like $24 for a shot of bourbon. My fiancee decided he'd drink elsewhere. We started our meal with the house chips which I love everywhere I go and these were very salty and spicy. Like a salt and vinegar with a ranch dipping sauce. Decent portion size for the price ($15) but perhaps had a bit too much seasoning on them... We browsed for a while and considered going somewhere else before we determined we would split the Egg Noodle Soup which the server raved about and told us was an excellent choice after we ordered it. It's $36 and has chicken and shrimp wontons, a Char Siu Pork Poached Egg, shiitake mushrooms, and bok choy. They split it for us in the kitchen and it was huge because it was entree sized for us both still in large bowls. This was enough for us so we had fresh coffee with cream and sugar and enjoyed the views a bit longer before we left. Service was efficient. I'd say this is a fun spot to come and have a snack and enjoy the view, but if you plan to drink, you better look up the prices beforehand because 2-3 will run you $100+ quickly!

Yelp
So I honestly didn't have high expectations and figured the view was going to be the best part and I was right. The service was also great. The view is great (probably will be better in warmer months). The drink was good. The food was alright. The potatoes dauphine were terrible!!! Do not get them!! I really enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich and fries but the chicken club was pretty standard (although the chips with it were great). Despite all that, it definitely isn't worth the price. At the end of the day, you're paying for the view. Probably should just eat somewhere else and come for a nice pricey drink.

Yelp
Great view. Central location. Good food. Good service. Great place to take out of town visitors or feel like a staycation tourist.

Yelp
Came in for tea time around 4pm with a fairly empty restaurant. No greeting, no water, no nothing... 10 min later we flagged someone down for help. We finally ordered.. food as expected for what did arrive. ($130 per person for tea time btw.) I didn't opt for the tea and went for order coffee and a desert. What happened to the dessert? We will never know.... I won't be back to find out. Unacceptable experience.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing afternoon tea experience. Came for a milestone birthday, which was indicated in the reservation. There was no acknowledgement of this. Also had reserved the champagne tea and were not automatically served this despite it being in the reservation. When servers came to our table, they were very pleasant; however, it was very hard to get the attention of servers at any point after the food was delivered. When we realized the champagne was not coming despite being in the reservation, we were already nearly done with the food. Eventually caught the eye of a new server who was more attentive but this was 2 hours in. Overall a subpar experience and very much not worth the high price. The food was mediocre, aside from the smoked salmon sandwich. Good if one is looking for NYC views.Have had many afternoon teas and this ranks very poorly in weighing price to experience.

Yelp
Take in the amazing views and walk into a serene lounge setting with some amazing artwork. But beware - prices are high for pretty much everything here, so don't let the sticker shock of a $26 cocktail or a glass of wine deter you. Was goin to take one star away for that - the cocktail was good but not for the price. Service was exceptional- the lady waiting on us had a name that matches a Disney character, and our kids and her hummed that famous Disney song - loved that they made them so comfortable in a place that otherwise was not very kid oriented. A shared mango sorbet for them actually turned out to be 2 complete helpings. Five stars for the service.

Yelp
Amazing view, gorgeous interior design, and incredible service. When they found out I'm allergic to alcohol (I break out in hives), they made mocktails for me that weren't on the menu. It does get pretty loud so be mindful of that in case you wanted a quieter conversation spot.

Yelp
We live in NYC(not tourists), and were really excited to visit this restaurant as it's instagrammable spot with the whole view of Columbus circle and Central park. We booked our reservation, however, we had to wait about 25 mins for window seating, but we didn't mind waiting because the window seats are not guaranteed for all reservation. Everything was great until our server (Teresa) took our drinks order incorrectly. First of all, she wasn't attentive and seemed like she was in rush in taking our orders (restaurant wasn't even busy). My friend and I ordered same cocktail from the menu "Aperol Melon Crush", it said it has tequila in it, so my friend who isn't a big drinker, she asked for half a shot in the drink and mine the way it is-- then the server seemed confused as she mentioned, "I am not sure if that's possible but I will see what I can do". And we were confused because what's so difficult in asking for a less alcohol in the drink? We got our drinks, but it was two straight shots of tequila, (half a shot for my friend and one shot for myself) with limes. We both were confused and told the server, we did not ask for straight shots of tequila, we asked for half a shot for my friend in the cocktail. And she goes, oh right right let me go fix it. 5 minutes later, she came back with two drinks of Aperol Melon Crush, and we had our first sip, it was too strong as if the shots she brought by mistake was in it. But we didn't complain because we thought maybe they didn't mix the drink properly; so we mixed it with our forks but it was still too strong it killed the whole taste of cocktail, we only tasted tequila. We couldn't finish the drink because it was really bad. Most importantly, who puts shots of tequilla in cocktail for brunch?? (Our reservation was at 1:30pm). Thankfully, the food was great, so we devoured our food. After finish eating, we asked for the check. We checked the bill thoroughly because the server messed up with our drink order. Thank GOD , we did! She charged us for those 2 shots of tequila that we did not even ask for. We never said "add extra shots". Excuse me? My friend asked to put less tequila in the cocktail, but she misunderstood and charged us extra half shot of tequila of $14 and mine one shot $28 in addition to our cocktail. So we called Teresa back to confirm again, she goes you guys ordered tequila, the drink doesn't contain tequila shots at all., you guys specifically asked for tequila, thats why it was charged; she was saying it out so confidently as if we were the crazy ones. So I asked her, what's in the drink then, she goes champagne and other stuff. So I checked the drink menu again, it does say tequila in the drink (I always check with my drinks what's in it ,before I order). So I showed her, this drink has tequila in it, we asked to put half a shot for my friend , and mine just the way it is on the menu, you misunderstood with our order--then she cut us off "oh ok ok ok let me go fix". RUDE. She did not even say sorry or being apologetic with her mistake. We waited about 10 minutes or more for our check to get corrected. She came back and saying", the check is fixed. I really thought you guys wanted extra shots in it. ". I was like what? I signed my check and left. ***My verdict on her actions:**** She took our drink order incorrectly, when we told her this isn't what we ordered, she knew she messed up. However, she didn't want to tell the truth to the bartender or manager about her mistake, so she lied to the bartender , saying the customers want to add shots "in the cocktail"., and did not correct the check and HOPING that we don't catch it on the check with extra charges she made. HOWEVER, we CAUGHT her mistake. She tried to be shady hoping we wouldn't know, just pay and leave. To be quite honest, I normally don't check with my bills at restaurants but this time I did because something was off with her service. Mistake happens, we all are human being. BUT know how to be apologetic if you made one, and be kind to customers instead of blaming on customers. PLUS, study on your menu for drinks and food

Yelp
My fiance and I had a reservation here for our after proposal dinner and he specifically requested a window seat weeks prior the reservation. The hostess confirmed the window seat reservation as my fiancé called to be sure of the request. He simple wanted to make sure I have a beautiful view after he proposed and chose a restaurant that would be ideal for our day. We arrived early and tried to get the hostess' attention but she kept disregarding us. She eventually came over to us and sat us at a table near the walkway and when my fiancé tried to grab her attention once again she blatantly ignored him. I went up to the hostess stand myself after that to see if I can speak to her and she walked away once again. When she finally returned I spoke to her about the request my fiancé made weeks prior to our reservation and she said it's not always guaranteed but if a spot opens up she'll definitely let me know. This was ok up until we saw a table opening up literally 2 minutes after I spoke to her and we called the waiter over to see if he can help us out instead. The waiter completely refused as he said it's not his responsibility and the hostess is the one to decide the seating. We still tried to be patient and started to take a look at the menu but she came back with a couple that was waiting for a table after us and sat them by the window instead. After that I refused to eat at this establishment as it completely ruined our special day. The disrespect the hostess had towards us was unnecessary and the blatant disregard of our requests over customers of a different race is beyond disgusting. As a restaurant business they need to learn how to provide actual customer service and the servers and hosts should get be reevaluated for their attitude. We ended up going over to Jean Georges, where we were greeted very respectfully and were congratulated on our engagement, as an actual business should have treated us. This restaurant definitely left a bad taste after this experience and I hope anybody who tries to visit the place goes in knowing the racism they seem to be portraying before they decide to eat there.

Yelp
Superb view, very spacious, generally calm mix of entitled hotel guests (and their dogs) and awestruck tourists paying stratospheric prices ($36 for a won ton soup) for pretty tasty food in a great atmosphere. Won ton soup was great and more ramen than soup, beet salad was good, but the cheese plate looked they ran to Whole Foods because they were out. Overall a great experience and worth the pricey tab.

Yelp
Great view of Central Park south! I love coming up here for a mid day drink when I'm in the area

Yelp
My sweetheart treated me to MO for our anniversary last October and she chose a seating area right by the window with the perfect view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. It was such a pleasant ambiance paired with the time of the year that made this experience so special for me. The staff treated us very well. We chose our cocktails from the drink menu. My tiny drink was $26 but I couldn't help it. I wanted another to enjoy it with my view of Central Park. MO serves food but we had dinner before arriving here. On another occasion, I look forward to returning for a full experience and would love to see Central Park from this point of view during the other seasons.

Yelp
This is truly one of my more complicated reviews. Let me start out with the good, The drinks were excellently crafted and delicious and the martinis had plenty of alcohol in them. The view is honestly subpar, really nothing to write home about. The decor, the decor, Is no longer grand as it once was, maybe in the 90s or 80s given the way it looks, but outdated, unattractive, and can no longer rest on its laurels of what was once fancy and now seems altogether a relic of the past, a past should've ended. That reminds me of an 80s cocaine club with all the mirrors and the steel and the black velvet, a style that should've died. The service was altogether poor unfortunately, which I hate writing at this time, but it is the truth. The last complaint is that they have no blue cheese olives and what's the martini without those? I do have to admit that my viewpoint might be slightly swayed, as the first Mandarin Oriental, I stayed at and dined at, was in Bangkok, and it's one of the most beautiful hotels, and delicious meals, I have ever been to in my life.

Yelp
A great relaxing lounge overlooking Central Park. Met for a pre dinner cocktail. Recommend the MO Fashioned. The view in unbeatable.

Yelp
The view is incredible! That's what first drew us to the restaurant. We needed to make a reservation pretty far in advance since we were flying in for a short visit to NYC. I would recommend emailing them! They're very willing to help and are responsive. We requested a table by the window for six, which they were able to accommodate. We went for drinks, small plates, and dessert. The burrata was very fresh, the drinks were great, and the mandarin dessert was delicious. My sister got the chocolate fondant which was also amazing. If anything, this is a must try to have some drinks and enjoy the view. To get in, you need to go into the hotel lobby and they will direct you to the elevator to go up to the lounge.

Yelp
A toast to the best boozing in the one-double-oh-two-three...35 floors above the greatest city on Earth. Heavenly.
