Singapore Bubble Tea Chain Bober Tea & Coffee Opens in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Paired with the San Diego Bober Tea outpost, I found Mochi Dough specializes in chewy Japanese rice flour doughnuts—specifically the “pon de ring” shape—made fresh every day and offered in rotating flavors from a library of over 100 options, including matcha, strawberry, taro, and black sesame." - Candice Woo

Cute for photo ops but drinks were bland and doughnuts were overpriced & dissapointing. I ordered a green tea latte with cheese foam that didn't even taste like green tea it was so milky. The foam was lacking as well which was a bit of a bummer since it was an upcharge. The doughnuts were 3 for $10. Not worth it imo. They tasted oily, the icing was too sweet and again the actual flavors were rather bland. We liked the dark chocolate one out of the three flavors we tried. The surprise cup is what I'd come back for and that's about it. I've tried boba places all over SD and this is the only one I've ever been to that was a total miss. I hope they tweak stuff and improve over time. I can't see this place making it despite the good service from staff.😬

This new spot is cute, vibrant and has delicious donuts! We ordered a 6 pack of donuts and each had their own unique taste. My favorite was the Churro flavor, but all of them were light, fluffy and a nice treat! There a bunch of drink options too, so you can have your coffee and donuts together. The parking is primarily on the back of the building. We visited on a Sunday, so it was packed. I would suggest visiting on a week day day if possible. The shop has entrances on both the front and the back of the building. The business is a cashless business, so please have your card or phone pay ready to go. The decor is chic and the customer service was friendly. I will be back. Eat up!!!

💎💎💎💎💎 5 Stars for Vibes & Flavor Found a hidden gem today: Bober Tea | Mochi Dough. Tried the Supreme Strawberry Green Tea and a mochi donut, and let me tell you… this place delivers. • Real strawberries • Jasmine green tea with that natural, not-too-sweet finish • Donut was light, chewy, and full of flavor The shop is very aesthetic — floral walls, disco balls, digital ordering, and an outdoor seating nook for the perfect tea break or hangout spot. Location: 6105 Hours: Open daily Vibe: Modern, fresh, clean Service: Fast and friendly Support local businesses

Love their Iced Vietnamese Coffee. Sooooo yummy! The best one I've ever had in San Diego. Used to get it at Lestats but I'll be coming here from now on. Will be back to try the donuts for sure! 7/31 Update: I've been back a few more times and I have never had to wait long for my order. The donuts are yummy, not overly sweet and they have an airy yet chewy texture. Try the Creme Brulee donut and the Dark Chocolate as well both are just so good! If you're big into Instagram then this is a place for you, the decor is so pretty!

Google
I love the supreme mango drink. The little fresh pieces of mango were a little sour. I like that fruity and not super sweet flavor. And the surprise cups! Omg so cute! I love that i got hello kitty. The mochi donuts are really good too. It was hard to pick a favorite flavor. But i will say the creme Brule, lotus, and watermelon were really good. Chizu strawberry is not super sweet and the little pieces of strawberry are fresh. Kind of a strawberries and cream drink just not as sweet. Perfect if you are craving something not too sweet.

Google
Lovely first experience visiting this mochinut shop tucked into the Mission Gorge area. Immediate impression of the location was very positive. Adorable decor, incredibly clean, nice vibe with the music as well. The service was very fast and friendly. We tried six flavors of mochinut. Each had an excellent texture and weren't overdone with the toppings (in either sweetness or amount). Our standouts were the churro, the creme brulee, and the matcha. The drinks were also excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the black sesame hot latte and our children enjoyed trying the taro milk tea in it's sweet cat/bear topped cup. Overall an outstanding experience, we can't wait to bring the whole family back again!

Google
We have been waiting a year 1/2 to eat their Mochi Doughnuts xD, and well, the mochi did not disappoint. The drinks we got tasted great, too - Strawberry Green Tea and Brown Sugar Cookie Cream. Not too sweet, and everything tasted fresh. Service was good as well, quick & friendly. The place itself looks very nice, clean, and aesthetic. Definitely recommend coming for a bite & drink.

Google
First off, this place is so pretty! 😍 I love the pink decorations and every corner of this shop. Onto the donuts, they are soft, chewy, the perfect texture with a variety of flavors to choose from. My favorites are the strawberry garden, matcha, and dirty taro. Will be coming back as they switch out new flavors every few days. Service is great as well. Highly recommend!

Yelp
When we arrived, it was pretty quiet. The interior of the store is very pretty and welcoming. Spacious and very detailed. We were greeted upon arrival, they took our order and our desert came out fast. We ended up getting the dark chocolate, funnel, strawberry and crème brûlée. They were delicious and cooked perfectly well. There's limited parking spaces in the back of the store. Restroom for customers. Kiosk that you can order drinks and desserts. Decent amount of chairs and tables. This shop is pretty clean and presentable.

Yelp
I've ordered delivery from here several times and always appreciate the freshness, appearance and taste of these uniquely textured donuts. The variety pack comes with a diverse selection, each with subtly different flavors. They're not heavy, and can be easily pulled apart for sharing. My consistent fave is the cinnamon churro! These donuts look like adult teething rings, but never last very long in my mouth hehe.

Yelp
I've been to probably over 1000+ boba shops in my life, and I will say none of them has ever compared to the amazing experience I had here. The drinks were 10/10! Not too sweet, not too bitter, but just right! And don't get me started on the mochi doughnuts. Fried to perfection, the inside is cooked just right, and the different flavored glazes on top elevates the doughnut to a whole new level. If you're craving for the best Japanese mochi doughnuts in SD look no further than here. Lastly, the service and decor were top notch! The bright pink aesthetic is very cute, perfect for taking a few Instagram worthy photos. I got my drinks relatively quickly and all the workers were extremely nice and welcoming. Whether you're here for a first date, stopping by for a quick snack at work, or just craving some sweets after a meal with your family, Mochi Dough/Bober will always hit the spot!

Yelp
The inside of this place is something else. Good amount of parking in back. Inside looks like what I imagine when I think of some novelty Japanese themed cafe, with white, pink, and bright lights. Definitely a new experience. BB and I had a couple of donuts, and if you should know anything about me by this point, its that I love donuts. Whether its regular donuts, cronuts, or mochi donuts like these ones, I am game. We tried the Ube, Funnel Cake, and PIstachio. I have never gone wrong with anything Ube flavored. The funnel cake was a good attempt but didn't quite succeed in recreating my childhood fav. The pistachio was delicious. Pretty good place to get your mochi donut cravings fulfilled.

Yelp
Very pink and cute little treat shop. Things are pricy, but quality. We're talking $3, $4 donuts (depending on quantity), and about $7-$12 average, per drink, depending on container, and addition/subtraction of toppings/ice. The kiosk ordering was a bit intimidating, initially, bc you don't wanna be THAT person, in line. The one who can't figure out how to order what you want, and end up taking really long, when there's long lines--because there are 3 entrances, and 2 opposite lines for the kiosks. Per the hubs, you can always order from the person behind the counter, when it's not too busy. There wasn't free Wifi (I feel like most drink shops have this, for those who are studying). Hubs didn't like that the tables were really wobbly. Valid nuisance, since drinks are involved. Not sure if I saw anyone ever came out to wipe down tables the whole 2 hrs we was there. KPOP jams for the ambiance. Service was courteous and quick. I think my drinks were ready in about 3 minutes after I finished at the kiosk--just enough time to find a table and put my things and the carseat down. Like many vendors of the times, they are CASHLESS. They have cute little bear containers for the drinks. The kid wanted one, but they were already sold out at noon, on this Saturday. The regular drinks are sealed with plastic and then an additional plastic bear head cover with a straw hole comes on top, which my son found adorable. I had to hype this up a bit, since he was disappointed that the bear containers were gone. The Supreme Strawberry Jasmine Green Tea was delicious! Asian-sweet (subtle), a tiny bit tart and fresh-tasting. The Classic Milk Tea was also good at its regular sweetness, and the stir fried Boba texture was perfectly chewy, also cooked all the way through. I'm a harsh critic for Boba texture, in most cases. Hubs wanted more sweetness to the Supreme, but I found it perfect. I usually do light ice and half sugar on most Boba drinks, but these two were great as they were prepared. DONUTS: Ube Taro, Strawberry, Creme Brulee, and Blueberry are top donut flavors for me. I probably wouldn't get Matcha again, nor the Churro (underwhelming)--not bad in the least, just nothing to write home about. I'm not a big chocolate person, but it tasted how a Chocolate donut should.

Yelp
Starting off by saying this place is super cute and aesthetic. It was easy to find, and they had their own parking lot, but I can see it being full when it gets crowded. You do have to order on their kiosk, the person ahead of us had a huge order, so it did take low-key forever lol. But that's ok! We did not mind the wait, but if you are in a rush, self-ordering can be timely depending on who's in front of you. Since Mochinut closed near us, it is nice to have a place fairly close to get mochi donuts, but they were just ok. We ordered the cup with the surprise on the bottom, and we got a My Melody keychain. I definitely think this place is great for pictures and the aesthetic and a great place to take friends and family if they have never been and want something cute.
google avatar

Mariness D.

Yelp
They've perfected the fluffiness and sweetness of mochi donuts. And, they have many flavors to chose from. The place is just as cute as the donuts - as if you stepped into a Sanrio store. Speaking of cute, you can also order drinks with a surprise plushie hidden at the bottom part of the cup. As much as I love the plushie, the drink was too small for the price, as the plushie took up a third of the cup. The place overall is a bit overpriced to come to on a regular basis, but it's a good place to come to for a special treat once in a while.

Yelp
This spot is so cute! I love the pink decor and hello kitty theme. They have a parking lot in the back and it was not busy when I stopped by on a Friday evening. I ordered from a self-help kiosk. The kiosk was easy to use. I ordered a large Thai Tea with extra boba and a box of 3 mochi donuts. It came out to about $20 for everything. My order came out fast and the staff were friendly. I tried the following mochi donuts: - churro - chocolate fruity pebbles - creme brulee They were all good but the chocolate fruity pebbles was my favorite. I would have preferred the mochi donuts a little chewier. The Thai Tea was good but I also felt like it was too sweet. The boba was super good! Chewy just the way I like them.
google avatar

Margaret D.

Yelp
I would give this 3.5 stars. Unlike other mochi doughnut places this place had wheat in the dough which makes it less chewy. So wouldn't be my top pick. Their drinks were good and you can get one with a prize that comes in the bottom of the cup; this seems to make the size of the drink smaller though. Also they are no cash and though I made the order without milk he put condensed milk in it, which tasted good but since I'm lactose intolerant made the next few hours a little interesting (I didn't really register this until after we left since we got it to go) There's a parking lot in the back and a couple other restaurants nearby

Yelp
Mochi Dough is the other half of a joint operation with BOBER Tea in the Grantville neighborhood. They use the words 'Premium Japanese Donut' as a tagline for the business. There was a rotating selection of flavors with nine of them on display inside a glass case at the service counter. Ordering was done using one of the two self-service kiosks. Donuts were sold in quantities of three, six, or twelve. You tell the workers which varieties you want, and then they will place them in a box. I believe the only way you could order a single donut was with the purchase of a drink. Even so, the price was very high at $4.50 for one. Three of them cost $10, a half dozen was $18, and a dozen would set you back $32. My trio consisted of the Sprinkles Cake Batter, Churro, and Strawberry Chocolate. The size of each ringlet product was smaller and more expensive than the competition. I didn't find the dough quality to be superior. The flavor choices and sweetness level were good though. I gave a rating between three and four stars for my latest visit to this dual business

Yelp
Interesting and enjoyable visit. Food and drinks of course was fresh and on point. As far as the location it's tight and very disorganized when it comes to paying and ordering. I dropped a star because of the confusion and miss communication with the register clerk. On our Saturday the cafe both in inside and outside was packed. Parking is a challenging endeavor on a weekend, so I can't imagine it during work week. The social media trend has completely engulfed this place so be patient and worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Originally from Singapore since 2018, a new franchise location opened: Mochi Dough premium Japanese donuts are partners with and share the same space as BOBER tea. So to not be redundant but this review should be read continuously with my review for BOBER as my opinion and rating for both are the same, but since there's a separate Yelp page for Mochi Dough, this review is as follows... A step inside you'll be dazzled by the cutesy decor of wall faux flowers, neon signs throughout with modern seating indoor and outdoor. This is a cashless business, that doesn't accept cash, all orders and payments made via tablets on the two kiosks. Once your order is ready, a staffer from behind the counter calls your order name and you pick up your order, therefore there is no table service. The flaw with the tablet ordering system is that you cannot select the Mochi flavor. Only can select the quantity of donuts. Once the staffer calls you, you can make flavor selections. Lately, it's more apparent that there's a lag effect of businesses moving from LA to San Diego. Whether it's a concept or extensions of franchises. I've had the Mochinut brand donuts in LA over 8 years ago, so these Mochi Dough are not new to me, but probably new to others. By comparison to Mochinut, which are yummy and hokd its form when held, but these tend to fall apart easily and the glaze melted too quickly; thus messy. The Mochi dough isn't dense enough to sustain its form, so you must eat it almost immediately, not leisurely :( Free parking at the back lot with limited but tight spaces and easily accessible without stairs. The shop is new clean and the staff were nice and helpful. The atmosphere seemed to draw lots of kids as a hang out place and the noise level was a tad loud but a fun place and a welcomed addition to the area that desperately needs more appealing shops like Mochi Dough. Recommend

Yelp
This place makes for good premium Japanese donuts. I had the churro, the cookies and cream, and chocolate with strawberry drizzle. The mochi doughnuts were all very good. My favorite was the churro mochi because it was not as overly sweet as the other two. All three doughnuts had a nice soft texture. The box of three costs $10. Given their size, I would like to see a more competitive price. They offer beverages made by Bober Tea & Coffee, but that is for another review. The offer inside seating, and I hope they add outside seating on the patio along the side of the building. The service was good at the counter. There was definitely a lot of enthusiasm. The place is quite trendy.

Yelp
This place is so adorable!! It's very cute and nicely decorated. It's a cute place to take pics and hang out with your friends. You buy your drinks & food in the kiosk and wait for them to call your name. Service is good, but you really don't interact with the employee other than picking up your stuff. My daughter and I are addicted to the surprise toy in the drink. We bought 3 because they are so cute. The drinks is also very good. We got wintermelon tea, vietnamese coffee, and tiger milk tea. Cant decide which one is our favorite because they are all good. We took a video on the toy so I don't have any pic. But they are so adorable!! We will definitely come back to try the donuts and get more drinks.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday afternoon & there was a line out the door. Once I got to the front I realized we had to order on their kiosk station. I ordered 2 drinks with the surprise toy cup, added boba to one of the drinks & added 3 mochi doughnuts. It came out to 38.36 which seems expensive to me but thought hey why not, it's the experience. We waited about 30 mins & noticed that everyone before me & after me had already left but didn't want to go ask at first because they were busy & didn't want them to feel even more rushed. After a bit I go up to ask for my order & they said the receipt must of not came out on their end when I ordered. The staff kindly apologized & had my drink in the next 5 mins. The staff apologized & gave me an extra churro mochi doughnut. We were able to get seats indoors. As for the drinks they were okay, I expected it to be a little more sweet & strawberry flavored. The mochi's were pretty good & were freshly made & warm. Parking was easy as its in the back of the building. Overall, fun first experience & cute decor & theme.

Yelp
I was craving something sweet and decided to give Mochi Donut a visit. It was my first time, and as soon as I stepped inside, I seen these beautiful flower wall. I had to take a pic immediately. Its perfect for taking pics with friends. And the aesthetic inside is so girly and pink. I love it. After looking over the menu, i decided to order their mung bean pandan latte. Never seen this flavor offered anywhere before and so glad I decided to try something new. It was delicious!! Recommend this place to anyone looking for a sweet treat craving or Boba. If you're short on time, I would just caution that the service is great but it took a little while to get my drink. Definitely worth the wait tho.

Summer B.

Yelp
This place is so pretty inside definitely very instagram aesthetic for taking photos with your drinks and donuts. The donuts are delicious and quite fresh I enjoyed the selection I picked out my favorite was probably the circus animal cookie but the banana was a close second! I got Vietnamese iced coffee that was so good. I think the highlight of this place for me though is that they offer these mystery cups that includes an ADORABLE little mystery keychain!! They are so cute and very good quality, it was only like $5 more to add them i'd say a pretty good deal! The only thing I didn't entirely enjoy was that you can only order from a touch screen and not in person so not easily customizable unfortunately and there's only 2 screens to order so it can get kinda congested in that area when many people are in there but otherwise everything else was very pleasant
google avatar

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Super cute and fun for the family. The store is a little small, but probably just from the popularity it was busy and people were waiting to find seats, but it everyone was courteous and you can see all the excitement from people opening up their surprise plushes and enjoying their donuts and drinks!

Yelp
Let me start with the positives: 1) Ambience 2) Location 3) The quality of the box That's about it. We arrived about an hour prior to closing pleased to find parking on the back side of the building with easy access to the enter. from that side. There's a kiosk that you can order from or at the counter. I didn't look at the kiosk and attempted to order off the menu board. When I asked how much the donuts were they said $4.50 ea but $1.00 ea, the day of our visit, with purchase of a drink. Thus, I ordered 2 drinks, 2 donuts and 1 extra. Asked for it to dine-in. I was too quick to present my card before determining the total. We didn't get the donuts right away, so I assumed it was going to be provided with our beverages. The clerk didn't say otherwise and we took a seat. Upon calling my name another clerk was at the counter who handed me the drinks. I went back to the counter to ask for my donuts. Upon looking at the case, one of the donuts I ordered was no longer in the case. Then told the donut I wanted was just sold to someone else. It is extremely rare to see the "Karen" come out. Upon fussing that on what was missing they offered to make another one for me. It was then I reflected on my charges. In reality, I should have just requested for a refund before getting my donuts because it turns out that since I ordered 3 donuts, I was no longer eligible for the promo and charged for 3 donuts! Thus, charged $6 more on a technicality. In the end, the donuts didn't not bring about a euphoria on any bite, the drinks looked fancy yet didn't leave a feeling of a desire for more. In fact, I couldn't even finish my drink, which is telling considering that I practically live for boba! In the end, you're paying for packaging and photo worthiness. If you're looking for a culinary experience, pay the same price elsewhere for 2x more product. Love their name and concept. Greatly underwhelmed by the overall experience.

Yelp
So very disappointed with this place! I was so excited to give this place a try. I ordered a box of 3 so that I could try out a few of the flavors. The flavors that were offered sounded amazing and they looked beautiful but I was completely let down. The texture of the dough was ok but tasted like old frying oil. The flavors that I order were unrecognizable they just tasted like sweet frosting. I honestly took one bite of each to give them a try but threw the rest away. The old fryer oil taste was so overwhelming. They were definitely overpriced not sure that I would even give this place another try.

Yelp
I have been patiently waiting for Mochi Dough to open, I live really close by so I drive by so often that when I heard that they had finally opened my husband and I made our way over. They just opened so please be kind and patient, they're trying to accommodate so many people. When entering it's so cute and aesthetic, I love the decor the pink flowers and the mirrorballs ugh, definitely a cute little mochi/boba cafe. I ended up getting the iced chizu matcha latte with 75% sweetness and six mochi doughnuts, I also paid the extra $5 for the surprise plush. My surprise plush was Cinnamoroll in little pink bunny suit, too cute. My chizu matcha was delicious, I love the salty cream cheese with the sweetness of my matcha, it was perfect. Bryan ordered three mochis and I ordered the other three, they were really chewy and not too sweet which is a huge compliment, sometimes they can toothachingly sweet. Definitely coming back and make sure if you're in rush to order in advance online!

Yelp
You guys. I have been here 3 times in the last 30 days! Bober Tea is my new favorite boba spot in San Diego. Check them out and be sure to order the surprise cup for a Hello Kitty character plushie or keychain!
google avatar

Tracie M.

Yelp
I've been seeing their sign for months and they are officially open! I'll pay extra for the plushy cups if I don't have to drive to OC for them! It's soo cute and pink inside. You order your drinks at the kiosk and drinks are made fast. Had a few of their different drinks and all were very good.

Vanessa D.

Yelp
We came here to order a drink with surprise Sanrio cups but they were out of stock. They have been unavailable for weeks since they went viral, which is understandable! Such a cute idea! However, this review is mainly about how the customer service was noticeably lacking. The lady working the front kept urging customers to order using their self-service kiosks. She repeated it about seven times to us as we continued to stand in line to order with an actual person. I have food allergies and ordering at a kiosk is not as safe as verbally explaining my dietary restrictions to someone. She made it extremely clear she did not want to take orders unless it was through the kiosk, so we did not order and left. I understand the convenience of a self-ordering system, but I disagree with it being the sole method of order taking. I would understand if it was extremely busy, but it was not. We are still hoping to return when their Sanrio cups are back in stock!
google avatar

Jackie T.

Yelp
What a cute boba spot. So happy they finally have one in San Diego and so close to my house. I love the ambiance of the place. It's super cute, pink and clean. There is no customer service as everything you order is through the kiosk, which is fine. The drinks come out quick which is a plus. I did pay extra for the cute surprise toy. I can't wait to come back and try other drinks and their mochi dough.
google avatar

Shaianne P.

Yelp
I've seen this go viral up in LA area. Attended just a day after their grand opening and went within 1 hour of them opening. They have lots of options - drinks & mochi donuts which is amazing! The place is so aesthetically pleasing and so appealing to the feminine eye. My only complaint is maybe them taking a bit in making my drink. I did have it with boba and cream but given I was the only person in the shop at the time, it seemed there were still trainees there so they were teaching them how to make my drink, which I didn't mind. Overall, I think it is worth it to pay the extra $4.50 to get a surprise plush! Will be back for more!

Yelp
Wanted to try this place, happy that it is open in this area. food was great. got mochi donuts that were perfect. perfect soft mochi/chewy texture and variety of flavors were good to try. neat, nice place, a little awkward ordering from kiosks and not much direction but overall no problem and easy to work with. didnt try any drinks here yet but likely would. can wait to come back and try other drinks and flavors.

Yelp
Cinnamon churro is the bomb! Beautiful box and decor and taste so good. Always a hit at parties.
google avatar

Kimmy S.

Yelp
I ordered a 50% sugar drink, but it was way too sweet. I asked the server if he could make a new one, but he did not ask where they made the drink and gave me a cup of tea instead. This is not really good service
google avatar

Drew G.

Yelp
Love the donuts here, remind of some good ones that we have had overseas many times. Customer service is always there with a smile and the flavors they offer frequently change which is nice when you want something new. Not a huge fan of their self-service stations or card only policy but still a great spot if you're looking for nice soft chewy Mochi Donuts!
google avatar

Steph C.

Yelp
Donuts are yummy, service is not good, they messed up our order and the best they could do was offer a cup to separate the drinks ourselves. Esthetically cool but won't be back.
google avatar

Stephanie U.

Yelp
Such a CUTE shop. I really wanted the surprise cups, they were unfortunately sold out, BUT the staff let me know more were on the way. Will be back for the surprise cups. The Mochi Donuts were sooooo delicious and fresh. My family and myself really enjoyed all the flavors. My faves the strawberry rose donut. Can't wait to bring my daughter back.

Jason W.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing mochi doughnuts here! We got black sesame and matcha this time and both were very tasty. Last time we got churros and cookies and cream, also very good! The Boba is also top notch, I love the jasmine tea with pearl bobas. Each pearl popped with fun flavor! Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Jackie S.

Yelp
Super cute decor. Boba was cooked to perfection. The mochi donut was the best I've had in SD, super fresh. Plan to go back.
google avatar

Gale R.

Yelp
I'm really really happy to have mochi donut place in our neighborhood but when I went this morning to get donuts, I was shocked that it doesn't open till 10 AM. I believe that a Mochi and Boba drink place should be open so that you can pick up your breakfast before before going to work!!! 10 AM isn't gonna work for me ! Please Consider opening six or seven AM at the latest.
google avatar

Lani G.

Yelp
So glad that they have finally opened!! Just what the Granville area needed. The Mochi donuts are great with about 9 rotating flavors daily. I had the black sesame donut and a jasmine milk tea. I could have gone out on a limb but I thought I would stick to the basics. Both were fantastic! Service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back for more!!
google avatar

Angelica Q.

Yelp
ONE OF THE BEST MOCHI DOUGHNUTS AROUND!! I got their Ube mochi donut flavor and I liked it a lot! Very lightly fried and still keeps the mochi texture you expect. I love how fresh they make their doughnuts -- the frosting is still very soft and gooey! They also consistently put out new trays too. Also, wow! The decor in this place is STUNNING! Super aesthetic and I love that they have an indoor and outdoor seating area.

Yelp
Where do I start?! I think I've been here everyday since it opened three weeks ago! Definitely my new favorite spot! The place is so cute & clean. The girls working there are so friendly and are there anytime I need help with the ordering kiosk or picking out a drink. I usually get the pink haze coffee. Smooth creamy Viet coffee (not bitter) with that perfect cream on top! Not too salty! Just perfect! My boyfriend is more about the fruity drinks and gets the strawberry green tea with the cheese foam. My daughter loves the donuts (especially the pink one with edible butterflies) and I always get a special cup that comes with a cute hello kitty collectible surprise keychain! No complaints here! I love everything I've tried so far.

Yelp
This boba spot is so cute! Me and my buds ordered boba tea and the mochi donuts (YUM). Highly recommend the black sesame donut! Staff was pretty quick and kind. Def will be back and taking my buds. Also they have a few tables outside, which was really convenient as we had a dog and a stroller.

Yelp
What a makeover this area has made. I used to hangout around here in my college years and go to Soup Planation. I'm so happy they opened this 10 mins from the office and I don't have to go to LA to get my little surprise plush with my drink. I was excited to stop by and make a boba run for the office. On Tuesdays you get a $1 mochi doughnut with your drink. When I walked in, I was kinda disappointed I had to put my other through the kiosk. There was no sweet level I could select from. And the servicer behind the counter will tell you to order from there. The drinks were ok. I couldn't finish mine because it was too sweet. The doughnut was AMAZING though. I will be back to get a different drink, maybe something refreshing and not as sweet.

Yelp
I'm writing this review, not to deter you from going, but so management can make improvements to their new business, and hopefully thrive in the community for a long time. I'll start by saying the donuts were delicious and unique to anything I've had in San Diego. OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT: 1.) When store opened (10:05), everyone walked up to the counter, as you do in every other place, but the line was told they could not take orders at the counter and we had to use the self serve digital kiosk. All good, I'm all about the efficiencies of technology, the problem was that the kiosk did not have the option to order donuts. One customer (older gentleman) got noticeable frustrated and walked out. We got the attention of the counter attendant and he came over and verified that the kiosk did not have the ability to order donuts. The line moved to the counter and it turns out THEY ACTUALLY CAN take your order at the front counter. Hopefully they get it figured out, seems like 5 minutes of testing by them would have discovered you can't order their main product... 2.) Probably by design, but the donuts toppings are very (VERY) "melty". Chocolate was the most melty. Impossible to eat without chocolate all over your fingers. And not a great combination if you have kids and their fabric chairs. The chairs already had noticeable stains, from kids and adults alike, I'm sure. Like I said, I'm sure it's on purpose the meltyness of the donuts, but their single ply napkins were no match for my two kids. Literally probably used 50 napkins. Paid $18 for 6 donuts. They were good, I think this is a "do it for the gram" type of place, hope they work out these small kinks for longevity of their business.

Yelp
This place is like the best.... The service is the best it can be.... It's always packed especially on the weekend but they have kiosks. Best mochi donuts around plus the decor is very cutesy. Def a go to spot when you need a good tea or coffee and mochi.

Yelp
I Try out this place just open near my house, and try their mochi doughnut. It was the best mochi doughnut I've so far. Will need to come back and try their drink.

Yelp
Love their mochi donuts and overall vibe inside! Very helpful service at the front counter. When it gets busy, staff will come out to take order with iPad to speed up the process of ordering. I will definitely be back here to get more donuts!

Yelp
My mom brought home a box of the mochi donuts (sesame, taro, matcha etc) because my dad wanted to try them. Pretty expensive. Texture was fine but somehow there was zero flavor. Just tasted like fried tapioca balls.

Yelp
The worst possible service only because Trang should not be taking orders as she did not understand my order. However, she was kind and had a smile on her face. They did make me pay for another drink even though Trang messed it up. But great food and ambiance!
