We came here after visiting Stepping Stones Museum, which was just a 5-minute drive away -- and we're so glad we did! The food and service were both excellent, and the portions were incredibly generous.
We started with the Ceviche Especial, which was absolutely massive -- easily enough for two people. It came loaded with fresh seafood like mussels, clams, squid, fish, and octopus, all marinated perfectly and topped with plenty of red onions. It also came with some cold boiled potatoes, which added a nice balance to the tangy and refreshing flavors.
The anticuchos (grilled beef heart) were another highlight. Even though it's listed as an appetizer, the portion was big enough to be a main. The meat was tender and nicely grilled, and it paired amazingly with their ají verde (spicy green sauce). That sauce was so good we ended up eating way too much of the bread just to keep dipping it in.
We also ordered yuca frita (fried yuca), which my son loved -- crispy on the outside and soft inside.
My personal favorite was the tallarín verde con bistec. The pasta was tossed in a rich basil-spinach pesto, and the steak was thin, juicy, and cooked just right -- medium rare. It all came together beautifully.
We left full and happy. The portions are huge, the flavors were great, the service was warm, and the prices were more than fair for how much food we got. We'll be back next time we visit Stepping Stones.
