Mochomos Fusión Sonorense

For this restaurant to be a steakhouse, the meat was of poor quality; especially in a city known for its great steaks. Over the last 25 years, I visit Hermosillo 2 or 3 times per year and always look forward to enjoying a nice ribeye at one of the great steakhouses in the city. My last visit my friend and I wanted to try Mochomos but it was closed so I made it a point to try and go this time. The valet parking was a pleasant surprise, the atmosphere was well done and the service was outstanding. The music was too loud which made it difficult to carry on a conversation, which is what the gathering was for. Come on Mochomos, for the amount of pride and money you have invested in this restaurant, your quality of meat should be top grade and match the rest of your establishment.

I was first time in there. As soon as i sit in the table, i felt rushed. Waiter didn’t give chance to check the menu properly, all the time asking what i want to order. Cocktail was not good, not drinkable, very sweet no taste of alcohol. Meat is good. But didn’t like the octopus, very chewy and no seasoning. Will be good if they serve it with sauce on the side or whatever. And tables located so close to each other, that you hear everything from the next table.

Sorry I was falling behind of some of my reviews due to health issues but here I am at least updating in some of them where I been. Well well well!!! This is a must! Definitively you MUST go to this one, if you are in Hermosillo by any chances please make yourself a favor. It is pricey but worth it. Service more than 100%. Back draws you better arrive early because otherwise you are going to wait. Amazing food and service. Enjoy the best quality steak in a great place with beautiful decoration. Many different options and if you can't decide what to order they can make some recommendations according to your taste. This place is expensive but you will get your money's worth. They also have good desserts like strawberries which they prepare in front of you.

My first time in this steak house. The steak was perfectly cooked. The chile guero and garlic paste was so tasty on that steak. Service was great, a few people attended to our two people table, a few too many. They were a little pushy when we got there. We were literally seated not even given a menu when the manager was asking what drink we wanted and only offered a couple from the menu which we eventually got. The wine option was not one they had so had to choose something different. The steak is what we came for and it was delicious.

The appetizer I like the most at Mochomos are the shrip buñuelos, I love that they're bittersweet, and the beef tail tacos have an amazing flavour. The service is very friendly and fast, and the place has a great presentation, it's clean and smells really good.

I can't recommend this place enough, drinks are delicious, food is amazing and the atmosphere is fun with good service. In my 11 days stay in Hermosillo I've tried this restaurant 6 time!
