"Right at the foot of the famous Streif ski piste, just a stone's throw from the Hahnenkamm cable car, you will find this business run by siblings Martin Huber and Andrea Posch. Now this is how you imagine a modern inn! Lots of wood and stone lend the place a rustic charm, yet the overall decor is stylish. The regionally inspired dishes include home-grown vegetables. If you like it spicy, you'll love their kimchi, fermented in-house! Or perhaps a dish from the chef's childhood? Take, for example, daumnidei (Austrian gnocchi) with sauerkraut browned in butter and apple compote, or spinach dumplings with brown butter and mountain cheese. Tip: cosy après-ski area at the end of the ski run. Car park directly in front of the building (for a charge; free with a minimum spend at the Wirtshaus)." - Michelin Inspector

Just came back from Mocking last night and it was absolutely a wonderful evening. We made the reservation on the call and received a warm welcome once we arrived. For 4 persons, we ordered beef tartar, schnitzel, zwiebelrostbraten and special recommendation lamb belly. Last but not least, we shared Kaiserschmarn cuz we were so full already. Everything was tasty and we wished to come back another night for sure! Thanks for the team for giving us a wonderful ending in Kitzbühel ♥️

After making us waiting 30 minutes ( we asked first) they said we can't stay there and eat. Quite rude stuff, aggressive. They didn't even allowed as park there. Do they even own a parking space? Awful experience. I think they decided not serve us ( even after making us waiting half an hour) because we are young? Or they just judge people because of how people look or what nationality are they, I don't know, but never been treated this way. Terrible

A very nice place with tasty food, different from the restaurants in the area where I am staying. I came from Westendorf especially for this location and it was worth it. The veal was well cooked and with a delicious sauce. The veal schnitzel was delicious, I think the tastiest so far in the area. I recommend this location for dinner with a glass of wine or a good local beer that you can find there.

Awful customer service. Sixteen of us went in, two kids, yet charged us for 25 adult meals - all chicken at €25 each. We all had different meals ( not chicken). Prices ranged from €16-€25. ( not all €25). When questioned he got aggressive and wouldn't discuss it. Said it was Sunday and he wanted to go home. Really !!! Would not recommend. Absolutely shocking. Should not be allowed to trade and work in a bar which caters for tourists visiting the town for skiing.

We went to this place because of the good reviews so we were really excited to try it out. But we left with a really bad experience. The food was really good, service was appalling, horrible, the worst. (Except for Marcus, he was kind to us.) The other waiter, bald guy, I think the one in charge basically ignored us. We came in as second table of the room and got served the last. I don’t know why he didn’t want to serve us. Maybe because of our Dutch accent (we speak German though) or maybe because we don’t look like we are rich. Now, we understand that sometimes you have a bad day, it happens. But my boyfriend and I also work in gastronomie and at least we manage to always stay polite to our guests. That’s the job. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant in my life. Also, the bread (two slices) that got put on the table which I thought was on the house (they didn’t tell us otherwise) you actually have to pay 15 EUR(!!!!!!) for. Absolutely ridiculous. We will never go there again.

An unforgettable experience. Mocking elevates traditional and international dishes. Everything is sourced localy focusing on quality. We opted for the tasting menu (has to be booked a day in advance) with wine pairings. We were amazed. The food was fresh, flavourful and balanced. The dishes were inspired by traditional recipes and local ingredients. We learned about surprising producers, like crawfish from Innsbruck. The wine pairings were exceptional. An interesting addition was the Quince juice. Very tasty and refreshing. The starters were in sharing style, which was great because more could be included. I want to highlight the beef tartar and the caesar salad. The starters were followed by our favorite course, the Onsen egg with a whey foam and spinach cream. A very creamy and aromatic reimagination of spinach with fried eggs. The wine served with this was the perfect choice. The bisque and crawfish was the most surprising, since we wouldn't have thought they were available in the region. From the mains I want to mention the veal with celery puree and celery oil. The meat coocked to perfection, the puree flavourful and creamy. Excelent. The dessert was a very nice "cake", more like buns, with a vanilla source. Fluffy and comforting although we were very full at this point. The service was impeccable. Our waiter Marcus was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable about everything we were served. All in all, I highly recommend this experience.

The vibe was fun and staff were very friendly but the food was not good, even though the waitress recommended. The vegetarian dish with the cabbage tested like it was took out of a cane, extremely sour! We didn't order bread with butter but one of the waiters personally brought it to the table. We barely ate from it but they charged us anyway. Keep in mind that we didn't order it in the first place. The soup had a strange taste and my friend said that his dish tasted like a medicine. Even the green salad was bitter. Sorry, was not our cup of tea...
