Nestled at the base of the Streif, Mocking blends rustic charm with modern flair, serving up innovative Austrian dishes crafted from local ingredients.
"A Bib Gourmand awarded restaurant below the Streif in Kitzbühel, Tyrol, known for its unpretentious and delicious cuisine." - Le Guide MICHELIN
"Right at the foot of the famous Streif ski piste, just a stone's throw from the Hahnenkamm cable car, you will find this business run by siblings Martin Huber and Andrea Posch. Now this is how you imagine a modern inn! Lots of wood and stone lend the place a rustic charm, yet the overall decor is stylish. The regionally inspired dishes include home-grown vegetables. If you like it spicy, you'll love their kimchi, fermented in-house! Or perhaps a dish from the chef's childhood? Take, for example, daumnidei (Austrian gnocchi) with sauerkraut browned in butter and apple compote, or spinach dumplings with brown butter and mountain cheese. Tip: cosy après-ski area at the end of the ski run. Car park directly in front of the building (for a charge; free with a minimum spend at the Wirtshaus)." - Michelin Inspector
