This is my new to go place to order pizza from! Thin and light pizza that does not make you feel guilty after you’ve eaten the whole thing. You can also ask for thicker crust if needed. Staff is super friendly and made sure I was explained how to create my own as a first time customer! Create your pizza from scratch and add your favorite ingredients! Great and clean location out of a Main Street, very easy to find..

Google
A great way out joint for a quick thin crusty pizza or light salad. They also have a cauliflower crust, which is really awesome. There is plenty of space inside to wait for your pick up order. The staff is really good and helpful. They are generous with their offering of toppings. I recommend this place for a good rest oure. On the other side, they gave a limited selection of drinks.

Google
Consistently good, quick pizza. We love that they have so many topping options with no limits. Everyone in the family can get what they want. They also do great salads. If you haven't tried it, you should!

Google
The pizza was delicious! Each pizza was made to order and generously packed with toppings. We tried the Cinaslice dessert which was definitely worth it as well! I would recommend downloading the mobile app ahead of time to benefit from the new member rewards.

Google
Pretty good place of your want a quick tasty pizza. Think Chipotle for pizza. If you are short on time and want pizza this is a great place to go. If you have more time, go to a more traditional pizza spot. I've found that they make the pizza better when you are right there as opposed to ordering it online.

Google
Very modern pizza place. Any amount of toppings can be put on. Staff was friendly and fast. Took only 10 mins from the start of the prder to deliver. They also support findraisers. So cheers to that. Very clean and modern inside. You can creat your own with your choice. Taste is depend on what you put in there.

My sister ordered a Mega Mod Pizza and I the regular Mod. The biggest issue I had, the pizza my sister ordered barely had any cheese. Additionally, she wasn’t happy with the amount of toppings we got. When I called they said that for more cheese or toppings it needs to be written in the special instructions section. I ask though, what pizza place doesn’t add an adequate amount of cheese on a pizza? It’s a pizza. Her pizza was literally the saddest pizza I’ve ever seen. My other problem was that they added the ranch I wanted on the pizza instead of on the side like I would have wanted. Overall, their online ordering should be better. A customer should be able to add as much or as little toppings, cheese, or sauce without having to type it in special intrusions. Definitely not gonna go again.

Google
BEST PIZZA IN ROCKVILLE PERIOD. First of all what made the pizza better was the staff knowledge and service! Quality stuff. Also the restaurant is spacious with enough space to park outside. Bathroom is clean. And most of all, the pizza was the best. I built my pizza from scratch. They press the dough in front of you then you choose your sauce ect. It was ready in 6 minute exactly. Impressive. Its italian pizza in Rockville md!

Yelp
First time having Mod's here. I thought it was great overall! The topping options were good and I think the space and area is great as well! I do wish the crust could be more crusty ya know? But the service was good~

Yelp
First time tonight and it's fast, good and affordable. Thin and crispy crust and lot of options.

Yelp
This was over the weekend.....We when to Mod Pizza, it's becoming my to go place to get my pizza. The customer service is always A one the food is always fresh. I know it's a restaurant but it feels like a hang out spot very comfortable & I thinks that's what I like. I build my own 11" pizza I add white sauce, basil, chicken, mushrooms, red onions, garlic & feta cheese. It was really good I took a half of pie home I really enjoy the flat crust. Also limited topping you can add on your pizza. Everything is fresh & made to order the dinning area is always clean tables is always clean that's a plus also highly recommend.

Yelp
This was first time here. Ive had &pizza and blaze pizza, which have the similar concept. aif you're not familar with the concept. You basically pick your dough, sauce, and customize it with your topping preference. The only difference with MOD is that they one up the other places I've mention above by offering different sizes. At other custom pizza shops there's only one size. I will have to say, they give a generous amount of food here. Im not sure if I had a nice worker or got lucky, but you can see my picture for reference. Overall the pizza was very good. Pro: -Lots of food, made to order, and baked quickly -Nice workers -Clean and cool atmosphere inside Cons: -A tad pricey, if you are use to $5-7 pizza from Papa John's. But you cant complain. Lots of toppings and made fresh

Yelp
Loved coming to MOD pizza and my husband and I decided to order off the menu, but made a few customizations. The pies came out delicious and I appreciated how courteous the staff was during our visits. Seating was ample and comfortable. We even played a bit of Checkers while waiting for our order to be ready. Parking is available for free in the front of the restaurant, but this is just a few spaces. There is a ton more in the back.
google avatar

Yelp
Got three custom pizzas. Flavor was good but the pizza dough on all of them was not done. Was surprised not cooked all the way since the crust is so thin. We had to bake the rest of the pizzas.

Yelp
Let me first say that I love MOD Pizza In general but this pizza was thee worst!!!!!!! It's dry, burnt and missing some of the requested toppings. This pizza is horrible it tastes like something they made for someone else and reheated I'm sorry I mean, BURNT!!! I'm not sure if I will order delivery from MOD again as it seems like I have to be onsite for them to get it right. (Check out my rhymes, son)
google avatar

Amber K.

Yelp
I love pizza, but not all pizza places are vegan. MOD isn't exclusively vegan, but thankfully they can accommodate with lots of options. Everything is good and fast. I also love that they mark the pizza vegan and even use a separate slicer to ensure there's no cross contamination.

Yelp
This is my favorite food modified pizza place I have been to!! The toppings are unlimited and same for their salads! They've got default choices you can choose from if you do not want to do build your own that are really good and they also have unique drinks to try if you get the fountain drink. You also can choose the side you want your pizza or salad! The environment here is fun, the employees are enthusiastic. And it is always clean. Usually when I come I'll get a pizza and salad that I will share with my fiancé so we get a little bit of healthy food before devouring a pizza. .

Yelp
Sorry, not sorry. This was the weakest MOD experience I've ever had. And I've had a few lackluster ones before. Went with my daughter on a Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, I was taken aback by the condition of the restaurant. The front door glass was laden with greasy prints, not just a small cluster but a door full! I noticed unwashed tables and a sloppy pizza prep area behind their counter. Their juice/tea fountains were in various states of empty!!! One young lady got my pizza started. She was scraping the bottom of the sauce container but I wanted extra sauce. There also was no basil in the container. She said she would get more, but instead went over to help other customers at the register. But there was a guy already over there. Anyway, as my pizza sat cheese less and topping less, another young lady came over. She seemed very confused. She kept asking my daughter what she wanted. When she remarked " a MoD" she would again ask "what kind". My daughter said she wanted custom. She said "but what do you want?". Not very professional. She seemed to think my pizza unfinished was my daughters even though it was explained to her. My girl finally returned with some full containers and finished my pizza. The confused server made my daughters-big mistake! She dropped the basil container in the sauce and splattered sauce all over. Just picked it up and put it in its spot like nothing happened. That contaminates the sauce IMO but my daughter just wanted her pizza finished. She dumped a boat load of garlic on and didn't know how to spread it or take any off. She was just as inept with the other toppings, and the final pizza looked as if it was made by a kindergartener. Mine was not bad. But as I went to get some iced tea I saw how dirty the drink area was. Ugh! We went outside to eat and saw that the tables out there were also greasy and had dried food. We wiped them off as best as we could with napkins and hand sanitizer. I saw the garlic caked on my daughters pizza and braced myself for an evening of smelly garlic breath. Oh management, please come in and retrain your staff at your Rockville Pike location. As Bon Jovi would put it...They give MOD a bad name!!!

Yelp
3.5 Stars Located in Montrose Crossing Shopping Center, with its entrance facing Rt. 355, this location is among some other casual food spots. When I first entered the store, I started walking straight ahead until an employee directed me to go left...to Order. Their menu showing Pizza and Salad options is located on the left wall near the "Order Here" sign - it shows MOD Pizza & Salad Classics with calories listed for each along with what is on each pizza or in each salad. All the other menu's for sides and drinks are hanging from the ceiling where the employees work. I ordered pizza, drink and an extra item and this is my experience: I first looked on their website to see their menu to get an idea of what I wanted. So, when I walked in, I opted to get their Original crust and their Mini-sized 6" pizza - it was my first time trying MOD pizza. They asked what sauce I wanted so I got BBQ and then they asked like "What Cheese do you want? Or What Meats do you want?. I am sure the toppings is located somewhere in the store - I did not look. I had a taken a screenshot of their toppings from their website and so I got Mozzarella Cheese, Mild Sausage (some pieces were a little spicy for me; they said it was not), Pepperoni (they gave me 4 slices) and lastly Pineapple. You can put whatever toppings you want on your pizza at no extra charge. That is a plus. As I go the cashier, I noticed a little display showing something called "No Name Cake" for $2.27. It states it is a cake so important, they will let it speak for itself. Lastly, I got a Vanilla Shake that was made on the spot. I know...I know - pizza, cake and a shake - not healthy things to eat, but I was just here to try a little of a few things. For the pizza, it was okay. It was not burnt and they made it perfectly fine - I was just not a fan of the pizza itself - it was a little harder to bite into as I was having each piece and a little harder to pick up each piece (after they had sliced it). I compared it to &pizza, which I feel beats them on quality and taste (again, my opinion). The Vanilla Shake tasted great. I may try the Blueberry flavor next time although it is Limited. Lastly, the "No Name Cake" was very delicious - they were certainly right about that. They do have some cards in front of the register that talks about their MOD Rewards program, but at the time I was at the cashier, I didn't want to sit there uploading an app before my purchase. If I do go back, I will be sure to have it set up before visiting.

Yelp
First timer. Ordered delivery 11" pizza with extra cheese, black olives, green pepper, ground beef. Did not have the extra cheese or black olives on it and the toppings were about five tiny cubes of green pepper and crumbles of ground beef per slice. Looked bare & tasted like pita bread with some canned red sauce. I've never had such a meagerly-topped pizza in my life. Crust was so thin - thinner than a saltine cracker, which may be OK with thin crust lovers. The two stars are for the no name cake that was good but expensive at $2.99 for a large size Ding Dong.

Yelp
I love the taste, speed, and presentation of the pizzas at this location. The location is on-point and parking is a breeze unlike attempting to go to &Pizza nearby. The toppings all complimented the rest of the pizza flavors and I devoured everything pretty quickly and wanted more. I thought it was neat that you can put however many or little toppings as you like. I can understand why my friends rave about them, too. It's vegan and gluten-free diet friendly. Another thing I like is their consistency in their service and presentation of pizza. Unlike its fast casual competitors, the pizza never comes out terribly smaller or stretched so thin it's burnt. Not here. Their pizzas consistently tasted great every time. In sum, I'd come here over any fast food joints nearby for quick bites. I don't think you'd be disappointed.
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
We keep trying and the pizza is decent but inconsistent. However the large salad is rarely full. Sooooooooo disappointed!!

Delvyn T.

Yelp
Amazing service and great pizza. One of the employees, Jerry made sure I had a speedy service under a busy time!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bit. Shoutout to Juan for his thoughtfulness and consideration of my food allergy. When I noticed the cook was using an oven tool on the pizzas in the brick oven, I became concerned about cross contamination. The cook didn't know I have a tomato allergy and was using this tool to pop the bubbles on the pizzas in the oven. Juan offered to remake the pizza since there was a potential risk to my health. All was well in the end and the pizza did not come in contact with the oven tool. It was nice to see how the employee took care and were very responsible about the needs of their customers.

Yelp
I had never been to this establishment before so I didn't know what to expect. The pizza looked great when it came out of oven however it was only mediocre. No crispiness to the crust or cornicioni. Floors and glass countertops were dirty and there were only 3 people in the store as customers. I have had frozen pizzas that tasted better than this.
google avatar

Luther B.

Yelp
This particular Mod needs help. The place is a mess with toppings strewn all over the counter, floors and I had to walk out. I was the only one in line and the person making the pizza proceeded to make 5 other pizzas for an online order while I'm standing there.
google avatar

Sarah Z.

Yelp
This place is better than other places for pizzas. I can created my own or chose the from their menu and added more topics. This is my 2nd time going there it's back to back. I was been craving for pizza and I end up coming here to give it a try. Which I like it a lot.
google avatar

Fred K.

Yelp
Count me as a fan for this fast cas pizza place. Reminds me of the same concept as Pieology though (I do like how Pieology uses olive oil to coat their dough) and Blaze pizza (wish it didn't close their Montgomery Mall location). Unlike & pizza, where they put the pizza in a conveyor belt like oven (like Potbelly), they use a real oven to cook their pies. It's the same concepts as others: load as Much or as little toppings as you want, wait for couple minutes or so, wait to you hear your name being called. Mod pizza does have a lot of seating compare to other fast cas pizza places. My wife, and our little girl, loved the pizza, the fineness of the cruse, and the taste. A plus imo. They do have a salad option, but really who gets salad in a place that specializes in pizza!
google avatar

Angie A.

Yelp
First time here and glad we tried this place. The place was extremely clean and a worker came out to the doors and wiped them down. The pizza I created was delicious and that No Name Cake was amazing. The pizza was amazing but the little cake just took my flavors to another level, "chocolate lover" Definitely going back on my cheat day.
google avatar

Carley M.

Yelp
I ordered a gf pizza and she went from having it on the paper to putting it on the gluten filled tray then back on the gluten filled counter and then the cook cut it with the gluten free pizza cutter. I gave the pizza away and wont trust them with a gf order until they get signage and training showing they know how to make it more gluten friendly.

Yelp
Grand opening of MOD Pizza was today and I was one of the first people to wait in line for a free MOD size pizza. What a great way to attract customers! The service was great and staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back to this location. I ordered a Caspian pizza and added mushrooms, jalapeños, and corn. So delicious!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
As a pizza slut, I can say this place is pretty damn good! Now, it's no Pizzeria Paradiso or All Purpose, but for a quick eats pizza place it more than delivers. Oh, and they have salads too. PIZZA: You choose your dough, sauce or no sauce, and then go to town with unlimited toppings and cheese. SALAD: Same deal but with salad, duh :D
google avatar

Shivana D.

Yelp
Tried MOD for the first time and had great service! Everyone was very nice and accommodating at this location. I got the gluten sensitive crust pizza, but I will say the edges were a bit burnt and very crunchy when the pizza came out. It was a quite hard to chew. However, the middle of the pizza tasted great. I love how MOD has seasonings that you can add as toppings, but I did wish they had a greater selection of veggies overall. One pizza is very filling for the price. But the fast-firing process does take a bit longer than &pizza.

Steve W.

Yelp
If you don't mind waiting for FIVE YEARS to get a pizza, then yeah, sure it's great. I don't get how I could POSSIBLY stand in line for FIFTEEN MINUTES and the line not even move.
google avatar

Jeannine E.

Yelp
Another great experience. It doesn't matter where I go, I also have a great experience with Mod. Today the service was friendly and the pizza was very tasty. My little person decided to try strawberry and pepperoni, she said ot was amazing! I went with a few of my favorite veggies, pepperoni and pineapples.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
I usually have a good experience here but tonight was an exception. Of the four working, two were working their butts off. The other two kept checking their phones even though there was work to be done. Behind the counter was a mess. Toppings were spilled all over the place and were mixed together. The broccoli on my pizza was burned. Really bummed because two were clearly working hard but either needed more training or more help. One was eating Five Guys. That isn't a great look to be eating from another restaurant. I really hope this was just an odd night off because it's usually good.

Yelp
Staff here is and has always been great! They just get it right. And in the event something isn't, they take accountability, and make it right. Always. Another thing - the pizzas & that "little chocolate cake" are sooo delish!!

C K.

Yelp
First, I need to say that I LOVE their salads and pizza! BUT... I'm giving them a much lower grade today: * The women's room wasn't functioning. * The men's room had two toilet paper rolls-- both empty. * Why aren't the single-stall bathrooms just gender-neutral??? * Bad attitude from my first salad-maker. Luckily, she handed me off to her friendlier colleague. * Why do they continue to use the same tongs in meat, cheese, and veggies? Any veggie, vegan, kosher, or allergic person would be supremely unhappy... or literally sick... by this practice! * Why don't they recycle? I was pointed toward a trash can when I asked. Instead, I brought my can home with me rather than contribute to the waste stream. C'mon folks! I'm not sure how quickly I'll return. It was pretty disappointing this time. Eager for a reply!

Nancy S.

Yelp
Pizza is tasty and the crust is thin like I like it. I ordered 6 of the, for a party and they were well received by all. Will definitely get it again‼o
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
The first time i entwr the place was skeptical and when i did try their pizzas. Omg crust, flavors, choice of ingredients all high quality. Staff super friendly and you can choose any type of ingredientes to put at your pizza. A++++

Yelp
I was one of the first 50 customers at opening today, so I lucked out and got a FREE pizza for lunch! I came back with my husband for dinner, too. 5 stars for their opening day being so successful and running so smoothly. Mod Pizza is amazing-- the crust is thin, crispy and able to hold its own with the ingredients. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are, and the pizza takes on a nice slight char from the fire in the oven. (Contrast with most pizza places that use an electric oven.) They have bottled sodas, which you can also get as a float (Birch beer float- YUM), milkshakes, lemonade and iced teas. The staff are all SUPER friendly and great at keeping the line moving fast. We'll definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Janet K.

Yelp
Yummy! Ordered take-out and it was prepared within minutes! Customized two pizzas: thin crust, one with mushroom sauce and one with red sauce! Lots of choices and would go again! Also got pesto sauce and fig glaze on the side!

David B.

Yelp
Just had a great MOD size salad. Presentation was great and it tasted great. Ingredients were fresh and well portioned. Staff has been great. The dining area was clean.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came in and got two pizzas, personal size. I thought the pizza was a good size, maybe a bit too big for me. He ate his with no problem. I got the white sauce. He did not get any sauce. We got a bunch of toppings like pepperoni, jalapeños, chorizo, minced garlic, mozzarella, blue cheese, and 2other cheeses. Mine was White sauce with minced garlic pepperoni and jalapeños. I also added a sprinkle of oregano at the end. Food came out quickly staff was nice. However the food itself was pretty bland needed a Tunmore garlic and oregano. I thought it wasn't anything special. The crust was a little on the thinner and crispier side and I would've liked. For $20 I think it was not worth it personally.

Caroline Whitney M.

Yelp
This is a nice new addition to the area. This is made to order pizza. I ordered the Dominic which is a white sauce pizza with tomato onion and sausage. I highly recommend! I really enjoyed watching the staff cooking the pizzas in the pizza oven. They turn out perfect! If you're in the area I recommend stopping by!

Lynda W.

Yelp
Great service and delicious pizza. The pizza was yummy and perfectly cooked. My husband and I have been here many times and always have enjoyed the food. The no name cake was also delightful. I recommend this pizza restaurant, to people who love good food. Thanks Lynda Witenstein

Yelp
This is a great pizza place! We picked up a few pizzas, including one with cauliflower crust. It was so much better than I expected! Pick-up was quick. I recommend this restaurant if you want a good spot for pizza!
google avatar

Adrian C.

Yelp
Overall I really enjoyed this place! I went in a recommendation from a friend and I really glad I paid them a visit. I believe this spot is relatively new located close to the Chick-fil-a off Rockville Pike. Currently they're working on the parking lot so be forewarned about the parking situation there. Now off to the food! The pizza is a thin crust pizza that comes in several sizes: kiddo - line backer sizes. I love that because you can really customize your pizza to your appetite. I played myself and got the smallest pizza. I was still hungry. I recommend the normal personal size if you're an adult. Each pizza is made on the spot can can take anywhere from 4-10 minutes to make. Something to keep in mind if you order a pizza to go or for pickup: it may be cold bu the time you get it because of the expediency of their process. Once you pick your size, pick all the toppings in the world, same price, and make your life worth while. Add some salad while you're at it. I recommend the Caesar salad. The dressing was to die for and I dipped my pizza crust in it. Yummmyyyy!
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
My favorite create your own pizza place because they also have a cauliflower crust option and if I'm not feeling pizza I can create my own salad. It's great that you can get whatever you want on the pizza with no extra charge. 3-4 types of cheese, lots of sauce and a lot of toppings to choose from. The employees there are very nice and the atmosphere is great. I like how on the table there are little games for you to play. The parking is good and the area is actually a great location for it because it's on Rockville Pike and people can see it. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
Nikko was very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu, service was super quick and I would recommend anybody looking for some quality pizza to stop by
google avatar

Samantha Y.

Yelp
Husband and I tried it to compare to the other fast casual, create-your-own pizza places in the area. Variety of toppings is great but the crust is nothing to write home about flavor-wise and the red sauce just tasted plain bad. Additonally, the garlic strips came with refrigerator cold temp tomato dipping sauce which was pretty unpleasant. The staff was very kind and tried to warm it up a bit for my by the oven since they dont have microwaves or another way to warm it, but it didn't help much. Bottom line is staff is great here and service is fast but food is mediocre. Pieology is slightly better, but Rise Pies is our favorite so far.
google avatar

Joey R.

Yelp
I'm gonna keep this simple. It was a bad pizza! Bland and tough(not how you would want to describe a pizza any day). Got the LG mega dough pizza with EXTRA cheese, ham, pineapple and onions. My wife asked the staff THREE times if they can put more cheese on and the end result was hardly ANY cheese at all. For real, look at the picture. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because a percentage of the sales went to a PTA group for a local school. Any other day it would be 1 star. You're better off buying a $1 frozen Totinos pizza from the grocery.
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
Pizza was great, but a few of the workers were too busy talking to themselves to pay attention to the toppings they were putting on the pizza. I ordered a Tristan which has mozzarella, asiago, roasted red peppers, mushrooms and pesto. When I went to the counter to pick up my pizza it did not have any roasted red peppers or pesto. I had to tell the cook that I ordered the Tristan and it looked like it was missing some toppings. She was very nice and made a correct pizza, but the person making the order was responsible to put on all the correct toppings. I understand mistakes happen, but she was too involved in her conversation with her co-worker to pay attention to the pizza. Good Pizza, ok service.

Shaun A.

Yelp
Staff is super friendly and helpful and bound to leave you feeling like you had a positive experience at MOD. Pizza consistency needs work though, sometimes my pizza is PERFECT. Thin crust, fresh and delicious toppings, and a great size for one person to feel stuffed or save a few slices for later. Other times my pizza will be super soggy as if the toppings weren't strained from their container before being added to the pizza. I wish I could count on my pizza being great everytime, I hate playing roulette but the good pizzas and awesome crew keep me coming back.

Cameron S.

Yelp
Good friendly service. I ordered the pesto sauce, and the staff was nice enough to let me know there was dairy in the sauce. They were patient as they made me another pizza with red sauce. They have good vegan options, but the vegan meat can be kept a lil more appetizingly. I decided to forgo the option because it just looked soggy and weird, but the staff is really nice, and my gluten free dairy free pizza came out great!!!!!!!
google avatar

Katya D.

Yelp
I love MOD pizza. I mean there are pop ups all over the place similar to this concept but these pizzas always turn out the best tasting to me. Always good service, fast and efficient.

Yelp
Yesterday, July 24, 2021, was our first time visiting a Mod Pizza. We ordered a pizza "for the 3 of us," meaning, to split between the 3 of us. Our order got easily misinterpreted as 3 separate pizzas. When the order came up, my husband explained the situation, and offered to pay for the 2 extra pizzas that he didn't intend to order. The employee at the counter refused the payment and gave us the 2 extra pizzas *FOR FREE!* I honestly don't know what to say, but we've decided we'll be going back to Mod pizza on a regular basis! Besides, it was our 7 year old son's request that we go there for dinner - great choice!
