Google
So...to be clear, I got this in the Portland Airport. Hadn't experienced a ton of great airport food and I knew that going into the order. Was pleasantly surprised that it was as good as it was. It was quite tasty with lots of topping options without increasing the cost. Definitely worth asking for extra cheese because they go a little light otherwise. Also...the marinara is a bit flat but they offer multiple extra sauce options. There's always red pepper flakes to add some kick.

Google
I saw the recommendation from Rednote and came. The cake and meaty pizza tasted awesome. The staffs were also very friendly. Will definitely come again when I visit Portland next time!

Google
Portland Oregon airport Mod Pizza 🍕😋. Usually 99% of the time you're going to pay twice as much for a meal at an airport terminal. Not here at this Mod Pizza! $11.39 for an 11" pizza or for $2 more get the mega crust 11" pizza (as of August 2024). That's cheaper than what we pay in our hometown at a regular Mod Pizza location. Best of all, put as many toppings as you want (and I did with the usual "add everything" on top. If you're hungry and want the most tasty food for your money, this stop is your spot.

Google
It was disappointing to see one person was making pizza with13 people in line. There was 4 people working but only was actually working. In the 15 minutes we stood in line 3 people left the line in front of us. We shortly left the line after that because the first person still had not moved forward. I'm a huge fan of MOD pizza, I just don't recommend the current staff. We all have a flight to catch, but there is no sense of urgency or the pace an airport food service establishment would require as of now.

I got the pleasure to be helped by Malachi and he was amazing. He told me it was his 2nd day on the job and he was a little nervous but he warmed up quickly after I told him he was doing great. He was so happy and kind and did such a great job making my pizza. Actually made me the best pizza I have ever had. My bf had never had mod pizza before and so this was his first time and he thought Malachi was amazing and made great pizza too. He made sure our pizza was the way we wanted it and was a professional for only being there two days. MALACHI IS THE BEST!! I hope the manager or someone is reading this.

Google
I have only been to this location, but it will be the last. All draft beers were out. How can you eat pizza without beer? CO2 was out on soft drink dispenser. Server line was chaos. My pepperoni and red onion pizza had like 6 pepperoni and literally 3 slivers of red onion. Crust like a cracker made from cardboard. Should be rebranded SAD Pizza.

Google
Fast and good pizza from scratch, highly recommended. I had about 30 minutes before boarding and I was hungry. MOD Pizza looked pretty good, but I was a little concerned about the wait. I got in line with about 5 or 6 people. Then the woman in front of me ordered 5 pizzas, each one of them custom! By this time I was committed, so I stayed in line an ordered an 11" Mad Dog. I was surprised at how fast it was ready, and how good it was. I'd guess total time to get the pizza was 10 minutes or less. And it was the best airport food I've had in a very long time.

June 28, 2025 at 10:00 p.m. Pizza is really delicious and the service is great. Thank you guys for the amazing service.

Yelp
I was surprised at how much I liked this place. For an airport grab and go restaurant, it was pretty quick and not too crazy expensive. You can pick from one on their menu or create your own. It's made with fresh ingredients and cooked within a few minutes. There aren't too many employees and the restaurant feels sticky, but other than that it's a decent place for food.
google avatar

Barry A.

Yelp
The pizza was okay enough. The attitude wasn't. The cashier basically threw a cup on the counter for the person in front of me. Just unfriendly all the way around
google avatar

Jacob J.

Yelp
Headphone lady is terrible and rude literally moves so slowly. Worst mod pizza i have ever been to.
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
For any airport restaurant, this is a great bang for your buck. Pizzas take 4-5 minutes to make and unlimited toppings if you choose your own! Only downfall is there were 2 employees and one was legit standing around while the other made pizzas. The one standing around didn't bother checking out anyone or helping make pizzas until near the end.

Yelp
We were waiting to see if they were open -- the toppings were all out but no one was in front. Could hear someone in the back tho. We got in line and said hello... she came out, earbuds in with hands full of whatever she was doing and she very rudely said, "The lights aren't mood lighting, we're closed" rolling her eyes and then turning around shrugging her shoulders like we are just stupid. Fine... lights are not on, it's the middle of the day, food out.... Maybe we are stupid, but that was absolutely ridiculous for a worker representing a company to treat anyone like that!!!! She should definitely NOT have any responsibility that has her interacting with humans. Looking at the yelp hours right now.... Shows their hours as currently open.

Tia T.

Yelp
This is the slowest pizza place I have EVER been to. I waited in line for 30 mins just to order a small pizza.... The staff moved incredibly slow and seemed to not be concerned about the overwhelming line. The sign literally says "MOD PIZZA SUPERFAST".... Also dirty establishment.

Steve R.

Yelp
Mathew from the PDX location has been amazing, always smiling and trying hard to keep things moving even when it's crazy busy. Quality person!

Edward R.

Yelp
Just wanted to shout out, Matthew! I work for Alaska Airlines and it's really refreshing to be greeted each day with great customer service. It's people like him that create a welcoming experience for customers. Thank you Matthew!!

Yelp
Portland terminal C has the best food including this MOD pizza so that you don't have to spend a fortune for mediocre food. Tastes exactly the same as a normal store and costs $11. Got ricotta, red +spicy red sauce, onion, pineapple, bacon, mushroom, spinach and arugula! I recommend asking them to bake it longer or well done. Only complaint is hope they had a size between the mod and kid because I always can't finish and will leave two slices out of six.

Colonel M.

Yelp
Out of lemonade out of tomatoes probably a ton of other items. Very understaffed and slow service here. Haven't seen such a bad mod before
google avatar

Yelp
When I'm at the PDX airport, this is the place to get some delish pizza. You choose you're own toppings for your pizza and wait for it to cook ( it takes only a few minutes) and then you can enjoy your custom pizza hot and fresh!! They have these chocolate covered cakes for sale right by the register. ( they remind me of Hostess Ding Dongs back in the day ) I chose a couple yo bring to family. Turns out they have tiramisu covered in white chocolate ! It was delicious!!
google avatar

Samuel H.

Yelp
Great people! Super nice, very social, and warm smiles. Customizing my pizza was easy and there were no restrictions on what I wanted to put on my pizza. And their hot honey sauce they put at the end was delicious!!! I got mine loaded with veggies (I'm not a vegetarian, I just love veggies), and I was quite satisfied, HOWEVER, it was sort of dry. Either the dough wasn't moist enough or not enough sauce. But great otherwise!

Yelp
I told my daughter to go here! They're fantastic in the Airport! Didn't know if they were Gluten Free, but my daughter said they are! Judy and I hit them up on the way back from Palm Springs and they are just the Nom Nom Bomb of Pizzas in Portland's Airport PDX! Daughter liked that it was thin crust and fire pit baked, really fast service, of course the gluten free option and the ability to customize the pizza. Also tasted amazing! That's what I remember. It's all the dough on a pizza!

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Don't know about the food, but the service was horrible! We could see food out, but no one in sight, and no closed sign. I checked the hours online, and it said they were open, it was just 2 in the afternoon. We saw someone in the back and thought, "maybe they just didn't see us" No, a very rude young woman came out and said, "this isn't mood lighting, We're closed!" Wow! All she had to say was, "We're closed" No, she had to be rude and obnoxious. She should not be working with the public. People traveling already encounter so many issues, this was unnecessary and unprofessional!
google avatar

Paolo S.

Yelp
If you like thin crust pizza this is the place for you. It's a thin crust lover's dream! I absolutely love being able to create my own pizza here, and the ingredients are always so fresh and delicious. Plus, the service is fantastic! Seriously, this definitely makes the top 20!
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
Great service and decent value if the food was tasty but the ingredients and flavors were bland.

Yelp
Fantastic MOD Pizza located in PDX. Excellent concept, top level service, and delicious food to take with you while on the go. Customize your pizza as you wish (up to 30 toppings) for the same competitive price or order one of their MOD signature classic pizzas. Considering we were in an airport, prices were great! Scored a MOD Pizza to my liking (jalapeños, pineapple, and olives), a Caesar Salad, and a bottled water for less then $20 -- and that's including a small gratuity I left for them at the counter! What a steal. P.S. located by the C gates.

Yelp
Stopped in for some dinner before my red eye flight. Well, I didn't have enough funds for the pizza and my credit card wasn't working. The manager was so kind and helpful to me. This was my first time visiting Mod Pizza, but now I will be a regular! Prices are great service is spectacular! Forever a Modster lol Thanks Mod Pizza for being so awesome and special thanks to the manager at PDX working Saturday night (9pmish) you made my long travel night so much better

Yelp
#2 for 2020 I can't believe the food was not overcharged like at most airports. It was so easy to order. Get in line. Decide the kind of pizza you want or go custom. I went to building my own. You start with the sauce you want. Of course it's the red sauce. There is a spicy red too if you want that option. Then, you simply choose the toppings you want. I took pepperoni, sausage and pastrami. Then, I piled on the veges. I never think about how they will taste because they always come out good. There is a third option. Additional sauces and other condiments can be added but I chose to not get any. Drinks are unlimited refill. Guess they know you can't stay there that long you got a plane to catch. Service was very nice. Everything was explained well. And everyone was friendly with a smile.

Heather W.

Yelp
Cool how I had to stand there for 10 min because they were behind on making dough, I read the sign saying they gave no to go boxes (not the end if the world), but when I ordered a bacon chx ranch. When he said they were out of ranch I was done. Thanks for wasting 15 minutes that I had to get food before my next flight.

Yelp
It was my first time trying this place. My boyfriend has had it before but I hadn't heard of it and we don't have any in San Diego as far as I know. Basically, you choose a pizza from their options but can add or subtract anything you want. You get a free coffee with the breakfast pizzas. They all come in sizes of mini, mod and large. We initially took the mini ones but soon realised these were really small, even for me (I'm a small eater). We got the Amelia (red onions, sage, sausage, cheese) breakfast pizza and the Tristan (pesto drizzle, red peppers, onions, cheese, mushroom and I asked for spicy chicken sausage). Both were delicious. Crust is thin which is super. Nice and crisp and tasty. The second pizza we got was a all of the above version of Tristan because we enjoyed that more. So we got garlic, artichoke and a few other things in addition to the above ingredients. Again, very tasty and filling. Didn't eat until about 6 pm after having these at 11 am.

Yelp
The best Mod. I was crazy surprised that the prices at the airport were the same as in the city. In airports, I'd expect things on Taco Bell's dollar menu to be $3.50. The crew (mod squad?) hustled to serve the crowd. They had self-serve soda (a rarity in most airports). Plenty of seating, being in a food court area. Best of all, unlike any Mod in the San Jose area, my cheese actually stretched when I pulled it apart. I felt like I was in a pizza commercial.

Yelp
Living the low carb life at a pizza place? YES! They offer three sizes of salads with whatever and how ever much you want from their toppings. I went with a lettuce and spinach mix, with tomatoes, onion, bacon, hamburger, mild *and* spicey sausage. I skipped the chicken, salami and pepperoni and still had all the protein I wanted without having to ask for more on any of the ones I did get. $8.69. score! I didn't ask for cheese it lots of the other options that you might like. The service is terrific. You select what you want and the dressing and then they toss everything together then package it in your container. While it was a little odd that the meats were served cold, they were all very fresh and tasty. I really liked the balsamic vinaigrette dressing on top of all I had. Yes, I'll be back!

Monica P.

Yelp
Nasty little girl taking orders at 2:15 pm today was rude, condescending, and should be fired. It's a shame, too, because the pizza, salad, and dessert were delicious. It always starts with hospitality.....if it's missing, nothing else matters.
google avatar

Kristina L.

Yelp
Airport eateries tend to be pricey, but Mod had a nice deal of salad and pizza. While waiting to board my flight this was a delicious and fairly priced meal. I tend to fly out of this terminal every two years and it's usually my go to choice.
google avatar

Shayla B.

Yelp
Not bad for airport food, especially if you're looking for something quick and easy. I was on a time crunch and needed to find something that I could scarf down quickly before boarding my flight. PDX has some pretty good options as far as sit down restaurants are concerned, but I didn't have the time to be waited on. I can't remember exactly what terminal that I was in, but it was kind of hard to find a fast food place. I saw MOD Pizza while I was walking past and then did a 360 and got in line. We have several MOD Pizza's where I live, but for some reason, I've just never really been too intrigued to try them I guess. This was my first time ever trying pizza from this chain. The line moved pretty quickly, so I was happy about that. When I got to the counter, the young man who made my pizza was thorough in explaining the process. It's basically like a create-your-own personal pizza and salad spot, but they have featured pizza and salad flavors that you can choose from as well. Once you choose your pizza, they bake it in a wood-fired oven for a few minutes until it's done. I'm usually pretty boring when it comes to pizza, and that day was no different. I went for their personalized "Maddy" pizza which was just a simple mix of different cheeses. After I ordered, it didn't take much time until it was ready. I've gotta say, I was quite impressed. The pizza was a tad bit greasy for my liking, but the melted cheese, crispy crust, and vibrant flavors were all on point. I'm not really a huge fan of thin crust pizza, but MOD did it right. It was cooked to perfection and retained a lot of flavor. For the price, it was honestly a great deal too. When I think airport food, I always imagine a big hole in my pocket. But surprisingly, this pizza costed me less than $10. And, that's truly a winning price when it comes to dining at the airport. MOD was a great find and an excellent experience! Now, I'll be trying out the MOD pizza locations locally.

Yelp
Grabbed a quick breakfast before flying. It was absolutely delicious. Service was quick.

Scott V.

Yelp
Not paying over $3 for a soft drink!!! Not doing it!! Especially when I worked fast food and know it costs only about twenty five cents! You do have really good pizzas though that go fine with water even though it would go better with a soda.

A G.

Yelp
Took far too long to get my food. Airport employee in front of me ordered four highly-customized salads that apparently required the entire staff to address before my order could even be taken, then they ran out of cheese for pizzas (how does that even happen?!? It's not a problem that just sneaks up on you) and had to go get more from somewhere in the bowels of the airport, so that delayed things further. If I had a close connecting flight, I would have to have abandoned my order. I love MOD, but I probably won't go here again if I'm on a time crunch.
google avatar

Sivvy E.

Yelp
the food tastes very good if you like pizza like me. I typically order the mad dog, but while I was eating I noticed a piece of the sausage on the pizza had a blue and purple vein sticking out of it. how did they not notice it? otherwise, the service was pretty good. I had to wait about 5-10 minutes before my meal was ready. Overall, the whole experience was good. I've been going here for years. I would say the ambiance is welcoming and kind.
google avatar

Jasmine I.

Yelp
Cheap, good airport food. Could you ask for anything more? It took about 15 mins to from waiting in line to order to getting my food so it wasn't too bad. Something to keep in mind if you're in a time crunch for food. I'm guessing the other places are about the same. The mini pizza was the perfect size for one. Their ranch is also delicious!
google avatar

Elizabeth V.

Yelp
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! INSANE mask policies. Asshole named Jordan at the register screamed at me for not pulling up my mask up fast enough after I took a sip of my drink. Hideous employees that are rude and slow. Line to get your pizza actually comes in so long you will miss your flight.
google avatar

Janette J.

Yelp
Thank you!!! We had a smooth flight but upon landing learned that our ride was cancelled due to an injury. With a child in tow, I had to find the cheapest option to travel from Portland Airport to Junction City (a 2-3 hr drive). Checking car rentals, lyft, taxi, and shuttles caused me to use up my phone battery, walk about 2-3 miles, around the airport, and cost me 3 hrs of my vacation time. But when I ordered a pizza (1/2 for my hungry & tired kid), I got the best service from one gentleman there. We ate so well, the food was amazing, we felt welcomed to Portland by all the staff but particularly the one super tall, sweet staff member. Sometimes you don't know how much you impact someone positive or negative. I didn't get your name but your generosity and kindness blessed us tonight and reminded me there are still amazing people in this corrupt world. I don't give a lot of 5 stars. Major bang for your buck for freshly made food. You deserve it. Thank you.
google avatar

Jeremy V.

Yelp
First time ever having mod pizza, and it just happened to be at the airport. Great helpful service. Great pizza. I hope other locations are this good. The pesto pizza is so good, can't wait to try some of their other ones! Thanks for a good experience!
google avatar

melanie l.

Yelp
07/04/2017 -- since I didn't like the pork bun from bambuza (next door to this place) I decided to grab a breakfast pizza from here. The line was quite long but it moved fairly quick. The workers here were very alert and efficient. I ordered the Amelia (scrambled egg, sausage, mushroom, cheese and onions). I added some roasted red peppers, arugula and finished it with some pesto sauce on top. This pizza is so delicious! You can not go wrong with pesto on top. Not only the food was prepared deliciously here but the workers here were also very polite and helpful. They made sure that my pizza was cooked perfectly. One side of my pizza wasn't quite ready and the lady told me that she will have to put it back for a sec so that the egg will be cooked a little bit more (which I didn't mind). I liked how honest she was instead of beating around the bush like other restaurants. Anyways I love MOD pizza, I'm so glad there's one next to our house. I highly recommend this location if you are in PDX.
google avatar

Ronald E.

Yelp
The "subway" of pizza places. I like it but it is a bit spendy but then again you get what you pay for !!!
google avatar

Neil T.

Yelp
Waited in line over 20 min - took for ever. Not enough workers, or just generally slow? Not sure, I had to rush to my gate, pizza is ok , nothing special. Ordered a small chicken and mushroom pizza. I guess, at least it was hot?
google avatar

Yelp
Had MOD pizza for the first time while traveling home from Portland. I had been having lots of pizza cravings during the trip and this was my last attempt to satiate the craving. How was it? It was decent, it was quick and easy, and I was able to get my own personalized pizza in just a few minutes. The pizza toppings could have been a little more spread out, but I ate most of my pizza and was satisfied after. For the price (I think it was like $8.78) it was a filling and adequate enough meal.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
We choose this eatery for our dinner meal before flying home. It is located in the airport among the row in f eateries. We were greeted by a patient and friendly employee. The pizza was prepared quickly and tasted delicious. We will definitely dine here again!

Yelp
Had a two hour layover (of the MANY that I've had at PDX) and finally decided to try this place and now I'm regretting it to be my first time here...should have tried this place years ago! Anyway, let's get to it! How it works: You pay for the size of the pizza and get unlimited toppings. There are three sizes. The Mini = 6 inches. The MOD = 11 inches. The Mega = 2x 11 inches. They also have salads and if you put the salad on a MOD pizza crust, it's only $9.87. You can build your own or order one of the their signature pizzas. Price: SUPER AWESOME VALUE! The prices are great even if they weren't located in the airport where EVERY OTHER restaurants' prices are inflated. The Mini = $4.87. The MOD = $7.87. The Mega = $10.87 Location: It's in C-gate with plenty of open seating. Clean counters. The setup is efficient to get the lines moving quickly. Food: I built my own Mini = red sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, feta, garlic, olives, mushrooms, lots of basil, salt/pepper, rosemary, and oregano. So the fact that they had ROSEMARY and RICOTTA made me fall in love immediately! Never in a million years would I have expected those two ingredients in an airport. Some other notable toppings were roasted garlic, roasted cauliflower, shaved parmesan, ANCHOVIES, Gorgonzola, just to name a few After the pizza comes out of the oven, you have the option to finish the top of the pizza with more sauce (pesto, red sauce dollops, minced garlic, BBQ, balsamic fig, etc). Taste: My pizza tasted awesome! Thin slightly crunchy, slightly chewy crust. Quality fresh ingredients. I added a little more salt to the pizza afterwards and it brought out all the flavors perfectly! The only thing that could have made it better is if they had flaky sea salt. Service: ALL workers were super friendly. From the start of the assembly line to the cashier to the guy that called your order. They asked each person in line if they had dined there before (so to save us newbies from prompting that a have no idea what we're doing). Area of improvement: I didn't have cash and the way they set up for credit card purchases, it didn't give me an option to leave a tip. Hopefully they can change that. Those workers deserved something and I felt guilty that I wasn't able to leave them anything. So there you have it! My first (and probably last) 5-star review for an airport pizza place.
google avatar

Kelly N.

Yelp
MOD Pizza is great for an airport fast food restaurant - I actually really like the pizza from here. It's quick, service is good, and prices are actually very fair for what you get (considering it's in an airport). MOD pizza is similar to any other create-your-own-pizza joint; like Blaze or Pieology. You pick a size, all of the sauces and toppings, and they bake it for you. What's not to like?
google avatar

Malika A.

Yelp
Omg! $8 for a classic pizza that's wood fired - wow! We ordered bbq chicken and it was tasty. Breakfast pizzas also come with free coffee :) It was a great option for us especially our toddler. Also note that there are no extra airport charges so prices are just like in the city - bingo!
google avatar

Todd O.

Yelp
I actually think this location is better and faster than the brick and mortar locations. Every flight at the airport today is delayed. Every restaurant is packed and this team is on the ball! Had the cauliflower crust for the first time and it's almost better than my home made. Hats off to this crew!
google avatar

Kelly D.

Yelp
Price is good for airport dining! Staff were great and helpful and easy going with my order. I'm soooo happy they have MOD pizza here! I was craving pizza this whole trip! I'm vegan and gluten free and was hoping to get pizza but didn't count in it at the airport. I arrived and saw it and my eyes grew and my jaw dropped! Yay!!!! So excited!!!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
PDX airport. Limited options. Limited time. Fast food! Pizza? Thin crust. Unlimited toppings. 2 minutes. Pizza. Too thin. Too soft. Kind of pizza. Kind of not. Still tasty. And fast. No time. Chow down. Go.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Huge fan! this is a great concept. It is the "Subway" of pizza. Walk thru the line, pick out what you want, and they make it in front of you. Then high temp oven cooks it in about 7 minutes. I created the "barnyard" where I put a little of all the meats on mine. PDX requires the restaurants to keep the prices the same as on the outside of the airport, so the prices are AWESOME for an airport. Go to LAX and pay double at least!
google avatar

Allison K.

Yelp
Love this pizza. Used to sneak off w my now bf to grab slice in Bend as our little secret. none were the wiser Never gets old reminiscing
google avatar

Aaron Z.

Yelp
My wife and I were at the airport waiting to catch a flight home and needed something quick, filling, and tasty. PDX has a decent amount of places to eat and Mod was perfect for our needs. My wife and I split the BBQ Chicken Pizza and each of us ordered a drink. We ended up paying half of what I typically expect to pay at the airport for this meal. The pizza was solid, and I liked that everything was customizable. The beer we got was from craft breweries that was local to bend and were not obnoxiously overpriced. You can't go wrong with this choice at PDX. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here in the future.
google avatar

Gabby T.

Yelp
I loved this quick and anything you want on a pizza place. The toppings are unbelievably fresh and the price is fair. The people working here are simply amazing. I've never been here before and I had great food and a great experience. The MOD pizza is $8.27 or a smaller version for around $6. You can select any toppings and the price does not change. It takes around 5 ministers once your pizza hits the oven to be delivered. It was the "happening" place in gate C near gate C5.
