Been ordering to the office for lunch and getting the deliveries have been the highlight of the day. Delicious, balanced and nutritious chef-crafted dishes. I almost went through all the options in a week. Lemongrass tuna - perfect sear on meaty tuna paired with unique sauces and pickled onion. Blackened chicken mango - powerfully spiced tender chicken with stringy roasted sweet potatoes, a nice balance of sweet and savory. Smoky chicken - Very present smoke on the chicken (a good portion of protein) paired with amazing cabbage slaw. Budda - the pan-fried tofu rendered a crisp exterior and the fresh cilantro lifted the entire bowl. A very solid vegetarian option. Overall - ideal portions, quality ingredients, harmoniously balanced chef’s bowls. My new go to for fast casual healthy yet filling meals.

I’m literally sitting here and watching Adrian work in all areas. He took my order, made my order, and brought it out to me. Super kind and the hardest working individual I’ve seen in here. He is maximizing his time here for sure. The food is bomb but to see a small glimpse into Adrian’s work ethic is something short of spectacular. He alone deserves five stars, a raise, a stogie, and a big hug for all he does. Long, red hair fella is the reason I’ll be back more.

Have the best time meeting friends here for lunch or dinner! Always the freshest ingredients and such a peaceful place to eat. Love to try their different teas and lemonades. You will find healthy and comfort choices in this cozy eatery! There's plenty of parking and outdoor seating.

I have dietary restrictions and needs that limit my options at most restaurants. It was SOOO nice to walk into a place where I could eat 90% of the menu!! I only wish there were more locations!!!

The food was so bad! The mac & cheese had a dirty water, off taste, the steak was super tough, and the kale and smoky cream tasted straight up rancid. I’m not sure if this was a preparation issue or just a flavor issue, but it was so bad that I felt compelled to come here and say something. Order at your own risk!

Modern Market is great for parents of young kids. Kids eat free Sunday (and I think Saturday) after 5pm. The salads were really spectacular. I had the jerk tuna salad - which came with avocado, mango, and a really good light dressing. I got extra protein which was an additional $6. Hubby got the Southwest Salad with double chicken. This came with pickled onions, blue corn tortilla chips and a light creamy dressing. I can't decide which salad was better - they were both extremely flavorful and the portions are huge. The kids got grilled cheese, no tomatoes. It's quite a small portion if you're kid is a pre-teen but good if they're little kid or big kid. My kids love the grilled cheese - they get it almost every time. I highly recommend Modern Market if you're looking for easy, quick, low-key, and family-friendly.

Had the Baja Chicken Salad with the Cucumber Mint Lemonade. Some pieces of chicken were a little salty and tough but overall was flavorful enough that I would try it again. The service was quick and friendly. The dining area was also clean with lots of seating.

Another great lunch at Modern Market. Quick and healthy options is why we have returned many times to this location. My kids are always happy with the selection of kids menu. Today we got kids grilled cheese with tomato and kettle chips. Loved it! I got the make your own bowl with the Ahi tuna, mashed potatoes and kale Caesar. The bowl also comes with quinoa/ rice and a ponzu sauce for the Ahi. Love this combo every time. We also have had the pizza, which is also deliciously cooked in the wood fire oven. Sugar cane soda fountain drinks and fresh teas are available. We also tried the Waffle with Nutella and blueberries for dessert , so good!!

I've been to MM a few times and the food is healthy, fresh, and good. Took a couple of friends here for lunch while they were in town visiting this past weekend. We enjoyed our food and even had a little leftover to eat later in the day. Two of us ordered the salmon curry bowl and one had a veggie sandwich. They were out of kombucha when we were there so we tried one of their Olipop sodas, which was ok. It's a good place to go for a healthy, veggie friendly meal! It can be confusing to figure out if you are supposed to clear your own table or not.

Honestly pretty decent prices for the food and reasonable serving sizes. It's a good place to get something quick to eat, but I wouldn't really say anything wow-ed me. I really enjoyed the blueberry pesto sandwich. I was afraid the jam would overpower the pesto or vice versa but both flavors came through really well and complimented each other. They give a good amount of mozzarella too. And the tomato and arugula just seals the deal. However, the macaroni and cheese was kind of overcooked and a little mushier than we would have preferred.

Couldn't even begin to tell you how many dishes I've tried or how many times I've been here. It's fresh, healthy ingredients. Their fish dishes are my favorite, but I tried the smoky chicken bowl this last go round & it was pretty good. Their rosemary mash potatoes are my favorite side. Employees are always friendly with plenty of seating inside & outside as well. I also tried the cucumber mint lemonade & it was such a treat!

Still good food! My favorites are the garlic mushroom pizza and the Urban Farmer Salad!

I ordered the Mango Blackened Chicken bowl (I believe that's what it's called) and it was very tasty and a good portion! This is a good restaurant for healthy options that won't break your bank. They have bowls, salads, and pizzas here. We came on a Saturday evening and the place was nearly full. Plenty of parking in the strip mall.

Absolutely terrible. I mean TERRIBLE! I ordered the salmon Caesar salad. The salad itself was dry and salty. Yes, SALTY. I think the salt must have absorbed all the dressing because it was bone dry. And the salmon was even drier than the greens. Thin, dry, and completely tasteless. It was closer to a piece of cardboard than a piece of salmon. Absolutely awful all around. I gave 2 stars because the staff was friendly and they refunded me without issue. I cannot even recall the last time i sent food back, I just don't do that. That should tell you how bad this salad was. I also got the cucumber mint lemonade which was tasty and refreshing. I won't be back.

I wanted something quick because I was lazy to make dinner. I went here because it was super close to Trader Joe's. I have recently been experimenting with being pescatarian so I tried the lemongrass tuna bowl. It came with seared tuna as seen in the picture along with carrots, radishes and grains. The sauces mixed well and the flavored all came together nicely. It's not as much food as chipotle but I do think it's better quality. The service was SUPER quick and easy. Also the actual restaurant was very cute with modern styled furniture. It was casual but still cute. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. I may have to go again to try another bowl!

*Speaking for delivery experience: The food itself was great, I liked the seared ahi tuna-- I got this along with the curry salmon bowl which was also delicious. I liked how balanced the meal was with salad, wild rice, citrus sauces etc. However, I was shocked at how thin this take-out dish was. While the meal was sufficient for one portion, I guess I'm getting pretty used to going to other salad places that actually have depth to their bowls, and cost around $14. (I usually get too full with those other bowls and end up splitting it into two meals, whereas this is sufficient for just one meal) I get that I might have ordered pricier proteins, but if I ordered the other proteins (ie chicken) for $14, I'd still feel like this place is a bit overpriced.

Learned about MME's existence very recently and I am so excited to return! They are the typical fast casual type restaurant, but a lot of the selection is vegetarian and vegan friendly. They offer salads, bowls, sandwiches, cool sides, pizzas, and desserts. I love how you can customize practically anything on their menu. I asked for a half BBQ pizza to be replaced with tofu instead of chicken, and they had no issues at all. My order of a half pizza and their arugula and gorgonzola salad was the perfect portion for lunch. The salad was generously dressed, which wasn't too much of an issue for me, but if that's something you are not into just be aware of that.

Modern Market reminds me a lot of Panera but better food. If you are wanting to eat healthy and get fast and convenient food this is your spot. I got the bbq beef sandwich and the beef was tender and super flavorful. The service was quick and they also have bowls and salads. A great place to grab a quick healthy bite to eat.

We came here for the $10 Bowl on Monday. It rotates every week and we got the Curry Salmon when we went. It was filling and tasty. Macros friendly. Healthy kale salad with creamy sweet potato curry and rice with quinoa. Salmon was slightly dry to my liking but it was ok with the saucy curry. Large portion for the price. The drinks are fabulous, especially the cucumber mint lemonade! Quick service and very nice staff. It's a low key atmosphere, great for a quick lunch/ dinner. However, the prices are on the higher end. I would only go on Monday when they have that $10 deal.

Fast food for people who would rather eat healthy. McDonald's is faster. This is better. Salads, Grain Bowls, Good For You Pizzas. Eat here and add a few extra years to your lifespan. Or undo some of the damage from your last Korean Fried Chicken place. *********** Editorial note: Reviews from 2020 or earlier often have negative things to say. More recent reviews are upbeat like mine. I suspect there was a management change - possibly imposed by Corporate HQ. But things are peachy now.

I absolutely love the BBQ pizza. I'm pescatarian and they make it very easy to order it without chicken! I have ordered to go and dined in, both great options. While dining in, the service and vibes were good.

I got a side of Mac & cheese and it was okay. I wasn't super hungry or I would have ordered one of the bowls. The Mac & cheese was cheesy but the noodles were overcooked. It was pretty small for a side, but that's fine. This place reminds me of Panera bread.

I had the Ahi Tuna jerk salad. Amazing flavors. The avocado, mango, tangy creamy jerk dressing. Creative and great flavors combined! Walk up counter and lunch vibe place so service and ambiance is what it is.

TL;DR: Someone may or may not have intentionally left off main ingredient: chicken from my chicken salad following previously removed critical yelp review. I have a strong sneaking suspicion that someone working here saw my previously critical review for frequently leaving off extra $charge premium toppings, and they reported the post, requesting Yelp to have it removed. I noticed my review had disappeared. So I then left a new, much shorter, and more difficult to have removed, review. My yelp name is Katie W. And my account name on the ticket is Katie W.. When the second shorter review was not removed, the manager posted in response, some sort of placating compensatory comment, which I very much appreciated, but did not respond to. Giving them a second 5th chance today, (Bummer! Man, I just really really want to like this place!) I ordered a couple salads for my husband and myself. The one with my name on it, "Katie W.", had the chicken left off. Chicken is not even a extra charge premium topping. It is one of the main ingredients. So this time, I paid even more money for something I did not get. I don't have real physical proof. I may be wrong. These may all be coincidences.. And maybe this place really is just that bad. Regardless, these are my experiences. That's it. I'm done with this place. I have dollars to spend elsewhere. I so like that other one that's on the same strip.

The bowls and pizzas are fresh, flavorful. Chickpea flour crust available. Friday night service has been excellent as well. Clean restaurant.

Was disappointed. Very unimpressed by what almost $18.00 got me for lunch. A very over cooked piece of salmon on some roasted vegetables that seemed to have been cooked long ago and a cup of water. Don't really see the value. Ended up making a salad when I got home an hour later still hungry.

I seriously love this place. The food is always so fresh and amazing, though it is quite pricey. The restaurant is very clean and cute. I definitely recommend this place for good service and fresh food!

Downgraded to one star. I ordered them through favor 8/6/17 and there was a freaking live bug in my farmer's salad. Absolutely disgusting. Will never order from here again!!!!!

Delicious and healthy restaurant. We saw a Facebook ad that they offer $7 chef bowl on Tuesdays. Keep in mind that the deal doesn't apply to any bowl, just have to ask them what bowl you could apply it to. Visited them one day to try their curry salmon and it was delicious!!! The portion is decent and very filling. It's a very balanced meal that makes you feel good and happy after eating.

I got two bowls-blackened Chicken Mango and the Braised Angus Beef. The chicken mango ingredients tasted fresh however, only the chicken had sauce and the rest did not. It was too bland. The Angus Beef bowl is amazing and comes with sauce. The mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and beef are all seasoned well. I would go again for the beef bowl!!

I wrote corporate two weeks ago and never heard back. My pizza had black onions and completely raw Brussels sprouts. Pictures say it all. I don't want a credit to the store, just a refund.

I wasn't super hungry so I just got a half sandwich and it came with the chips. I got the Chicken Bacon Club with no tomato. The sauce on the sandwich was a scallion ranch and was amazing. I wanted more. The chicken was fine but maybe slightly dry. The chips had a seasoning combo of rosemary, garlic, and dill. I really liked them; I had never had chips there before and the flavor combo was unexpected but good! I wouldn't say this meal was outstanding, but it was a solid meal.

Food was very tasty. Just the right amount of food for a hot summer day. Drinks were also very tasty.

Let me start by saying that I usually love Modern Market and maybe this was just a location thing. I ordered Modern Market from uberEats from this location. The food arrived on time and it was packed well. However, the complaint I have is the portion size. As you can see in the picture, what I ordered did not even take up half the bowl. For $13, I expected a little more than that. Besides that, the food was really good which is why I give 3 stars. They just need to fix the portion size.

Ordered this lemongrass tuna as an uber eats and it was delicious. I thought that the proportion of sauce/meat/rice was perfect. I love how even when packaged to go, it still looked appetizing.

I was not at all impressed. The food was bland and so was the service. They didn't mention that they were out of olives (my favorite part of any Mediterranean dish) I guess they were hoping I wouldn't notice when I mentioned it, they asked if I wanted another add on so I got tomatoes (something else that Was missing) I wanted to try the blackened chicken because it looked so good in the windows lol...I got light skinned chicken instead lol the flavor was alright. My date didn't really like his salad we both had to drown it in the jalapeño ranch (which is bomb af by the way) Almost forgot to mention they don't ask you how you want your steak cooked (luckily I like mine still breathing lol) Would I come back? Ehhh probably for the ranch lol and if I weren't paying.

If you're looking for a healthy and quick option, this is a good choice. I had the Buddha bowl with tofu and the peach ginger lemonade. The tofu was bland and very soft, so if you don't like firm tofu then you might enjoy it. Personally I was not thrilled with the texture or taste. Several of the cilantro leaves were brown and mushy which was disappointing considering the plate was ~$10. The rest of the veggies were cooked well and the sauce was tasty with a little bit of heat. I was not a huge fan of the lemonade as the peach purée made the drink thick. I added water to mine and that made it better. My daughter had the kids plate with chicken, veggies and rice and she enjoyed it. I'd rate the food 7/10.

Today my friend and I got the grains and greens bowl with peanut dressing. It was fresh and tasty. Lots of color and tasty greens. We asked for more dressing and both waiters were fast and friendly. Nice cool pomegranate green tea hit the spot on a hot day!

I love this place- it's the only place that we order from at my work. They have a great menu and there is a section that changes seasonally which I love- like right now, get that street corn pizza! My favorites include the Mediterranean bowl, the salmon ceasar and the keto bowl. On their site you can also see all the nutrition facts for dishes which makes it easy if you are dieting or tracking macros. I do wish the site was like chipotle in the sense it would update the info if you added or removed ingredients. The only cons here are when you place an order for pickup at a certain time they tend to always run late and the Mac and cheese tastes like a lean cuisine.

Restaurant is fithy inside and out. Approx 8 customers inside, staff of at least 6 and no excuse for the state the Restaurant is in. Five drink dispensers out of order.

Modern Market has healthy menu options for any time of the day. I've tried the Everything Avo Toast for breakfast. The Everything Avo Toast is not your basic b avocado toast. It's so much more than that! It's filled with EVERYTHING (see picture attached)! My go-to lunch item is the Caesar Salad. However, since I am a basic b, I substitute the salmon for grilled chicken. I've tried the Lemongrass Pork Bowl before, but the bowl just didn't make the cut. The pork was incredibly dry, and even with the sauce, lacked the juiciness I expected. But, what I am guilty of that keeps me returning? THE CARROT LEMONADE!!!

This location is very understaffed so knocking off the stars isn't because of them. The food was great and I know the servers were doing their best. However, it was freezing inside and I kept my coat on the entire time. Not sure if heat was broken or they forgot to turn off AC for a 50 degree day? I'm also disappointed that they don't offer coffee on the menu, not sure I've ever come across that in a restaurant before.

Love modern market in general! I usually order from the downtown location and have it delivered and the food is always amazingly good. The Buddha Bowl is my favorite! I've also had the Mac n cheese and soup which was all satisfying as well. I picked up my usual bowl from the Great Lakes location last night on the way home from work. The service was decent. I did have to wait a little bit despite being about 5 minutes past the pickup time. They were extremely busy, so no big deal. The bowl was good but, I felt it was lacking sauce which was kind of a bummer. Overall 4 stars but, possibly it was just the location. Every time I've ordered from the downtown one it's been perfect.

Came here to try out the breakfast menu. I had the sunrise bowl and my husband had the brekie bowl. Both were delicious, healthy and satisfying. The place is very clean and the customer service great. The atmosphere is nice and relax as well. If you want to have a healthy breakfast and start the day with energy. This is the place.

I had the pepe pizza and the curry sweet potato soup for lunch. Both good but the soup was really tasty. I like their concept and variety of foods and the restaurant was clean. We lowered the rating because we were very disappointed in the server, who rarely had his mask over his nose and at times, particularly when our food was on the counter, he lowered his mask and was chatting with the kitchen staff, with our food directly between him and the kitchen staff. We take Covid very seriously and we should have refused the food when he brought it to us but we didn't want to make a fuss. We decided we wouldn't come back to this restaurant if they aren't as serious about protecting us as we feel they should be.

Was expecting small portions and high prices, pleasantly I was wrong. Meeting a co-worker for lunch halfway means a place near the arboretum. I always choose and they are all high priced for lunch. Upon walking in, we headed left to the ordering area, but stopped at the menu on the wall. I noticed the place was crowded already. My companion went first and selected the Lemongrass Pork bowl. My turn and I pick a half Basil chicken sandwich and half arugula bleu cheese salad. The order taker explained I can pick half of one of the big salads. They all had a protein and many other ingredients and told her Just want the arugula cheese salad. Paid and got my number. We head to the drink area to get our water and some napkins. While there my friend spotted a empty table and ran for it. When I arrived with my water, she went back for hers. We had a little time to catch up before they brought her bowl. She insisted I try her pork. It was good. She said it reminded her of a Banh Mi sandwich without the bread. A couple more minutes and my feast arrives. I try the salad and it is dressed lightly, perfect. Then I bite into my sandwich, it is moist and oozes the basil aioli so messy. What do they say, the messier the sandwich the better the taste, so right. The chicken was moist and flavorful, Provolone cheese melted, enough red onions to not offend, I'm not a fan of tomatoes but this one fit perfectly. As for the basil aioli that dipped on the plate, my hands, the tables and on the sandwich, it was good everywhere. We both paid less than $10. for our lunch. The only downside are the metal chairs. Do not sit on them with bare legs, getting up your skin sticks to it.

Food poisoned after having a salad with a side of salmon. Within 30 minutes of finishing my meal, I was having diarrhea, bloating, cramping, etc.

I'll start this review off by answering the question most of you are probably asking. YES, they have beer, and yes, they have wine! It's a casual place that's good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And let me be the first one to tell you, they are inclusive of everyone; they have gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian options - AND even options for the carnivores. Staff are friendly, the eating area is clean, and the quality/quantity is in line with the pricing. It's walkup counter ordering, and then they bring your food to your table. I had the Buddha Bowl ($8) and it was plenty of food - I wasn't even able to finish it all. It included healthy sized slabs of tofu that had a nice, slightly crispy taste around the edges of it, like it had been pan seared or roasted. Rice, cabbage, crushed peanuts, and a peanut mango sauce were all mixed in the bowl. If it weren't for the slight hint of mango and the cilantro sprinkled in, it would have tasted very similar to phad thai. The peanut sauce had just a *slight* spicy kick to it, but it's not one that makes you sweat. The only thing I had an issue with was, most of the broccoli in the bowl was cold. I should have said something about it, but I'm lazy like that, and I'm sure it was just a "one-off" occurrence. They have outdoor patio seating for those awesome Texas days when we should all be spending a bit of time outside. There are a couple of entrees on their website and even their window advertisements that weren't on the menu - and again, since I'm lazy, I didn't bother to ask... Hit this place up folks - they've got some good, fresh, unique combinations.

I feel like this bowl had a lot of potential, but just didn't live up to what I was hoping for. Unfortunately the brocoli and sweet potato just tasted like bland mush and the tofu was really salty. I did like the pickled cabbage and the sauce. They really saved the meal' I'm definitely willing to give it another chance since that was my first time, but I can't say I'd recommend getting it.

Love the concept. Love what they're trying to do. The execution was good too, but just a little bit less than perfect. Love they have kombucha on tap. The fizz is kind of weak, but flavor is spot on.

Delicious fresh food, great vegetarian, good prices. If you sign up for their emails you get great weekly specials. $7 Buddha bowl? Best value anywhere.

My fiancé and I were searching for a place to eat lunch after visiting TJ Maxx in the same shopping center. We were on our way to Fire Bowl but I stopped in my tracks at the most delicious looking photo of food in the window...so we changed our plans and opted to try this place. He ordered the blackened chicken mango bowl, I myself had a grilled chicken thigh with garlic mashed potatoes and fire roasted veggies, and my baby had the tomato and cheese kids meal with chips. While the food looked amazing (nearly identical to the picture), it definitely needed more seasoning and was extremely bland. The only thing we all truly enjoyed was the chips included in the kid's meal.

I've ordered delivery from here a couple times now and the food always arrives quickly and is fresh. Dishes are delicious, I have yet to try something I didn't like and tastes like a gourmet meal which is hard to find with takeout. The carrot lemonade juice is also great and I will definitely continue to order from here. The quality for delivery is unparalleled for sure!

The taste was pretty good, it's really a healthy choice with a speedy service. I ordered it through DoorDash on Friday afternoon around 5pm, the traffic was pretty bad but we got the food within 30min, the food was prepared within 5min! It's my first time trying Modern Market Eatery, the salmon keto bowl was really tasty! There're arugula and fennel in the salad! We also ordered a bbq pizza, the crust was thin and the dough was chewy. Overall I really like food they provided, only a bit pricey considering the portion size.

Service and ambiance is great. It's clean. The food is fresh. The problem is the salt. I over salt my food at home but this was almost inedible. The drinks are pricey but worth it. Super tasty
