We only came for the food! The bar is behind another bar lol so once you get inside, keep walking back. Ummm this food is amazing. The bar is decorated bright, and there is lots of seating. Food is ordered at the bar then picked up outside. We shared everything family style. Portion size is great for vegan food. Get dessert

Oh my goodness This place freaking rocks ! Tasty Vegan food, amazing selection of beers and wine as well. Friendly staff and wheelchair accessibility made the experience even better.

So excited to see that Modern Times opened up a branch in Santa Barbara! A little hidden away behind another restaurant, so I walked by the State Street entrance a few times before I found it. All-vegan menu with plenty of great beer options. Good selection of sours, IPAs, lagers, and stouts. The Beyond Burger is worth it. Large dog-friendly patio in the back with heating lamps and tables. Best part -- they're actually open late on weekends! Will go again soon.

We just happened to walk by and as fans of modern times beer were very excited. The fact that it’s all plant based/vegan was amazing!!! We decided to do a sampling of several items and everything was fantastic! We got the kimchee sticks, Mac n cheese, the Crunchwrap, and the Korean chicken sandwich. My non vegan husband was very impressed by everything. The Crunchwrap was better than a Taco Bell Crunchwrap and the chicken on the sandwich was so crispy. Absolutely delicious. We ordered at the counter and our food buzzer went off before we were halfway done with our beers. Super fast and the outdoor seating was nice. Must go for good beer and amazing plant based food!

Came to this place because of its high rating. To my surprising, there was no waiter or waitress at the time when we were there. We had to go to the bar and ordered our drinks there. That’s definitely in convenient. The drinks were good and we liked them. We might come again to check if there’s waiters or waitress at different times.

This place was awesome! MT never disappoints with 🍺s! The staff was so awesome! There was a beer I wanted to buy, but it was out. However, the manager sold me one of her bottles out her personal stash! Now that's customer service!!

This place has some wicked art on its wall. Love the aesthetic. Also the beer was amazing, they had a great selection of Hazy's when I visited in Dec 2019!

Fantastic Tap Room and Patio. Amazing beer! Highly recommend if visiting Santa Barbara and State Street!
