Not your typical midcentury store as it’s full of fun unusual One of a kind things ! Owner also has a vast knowledge of Palm Springs architecture and is President of the Palm Springs Modern Committee as well

This place is fantastic !! Ballad crooner music from the 50's & 60's plays in the background furniture from that time period surrounds you . I could swear I seen Lucy and Ricky's bedside lamps that they had in their bedroom on their show.

Love this store and everything in it ! There are so many fine statement pieces to choose from. Take your time and look at everything. When I go to this store I just want to take everything home with me. The store owner is also a delight to work with

Very unique and cool stuff. We were visiting from LA and saw a chimnea that was perfect. The price was on the upper end, but not unreasonable at all - and was perfect. Some other items you should go in to see, just to expose yourself to some unique history. On Saturday we asked the hours for Sunday; they open at 12. At 12 Sunday we were there, ready to pack up that chimnea. There was a sign on the door. "Open at 1." Arg... We waited. 110 in the shade. I love the heat, but the dogs love air conditioning. 1pm. Nobody. 1:15 the owner walked in the door. We jumped out of the car and scurried over. The door was locked. Double Arg. The owner was headed to the front door, stepped out and announced it would be a 30 minute wait and he had a pick-up. He left. We left. Third Arg. I wanted to scream, but I'm not that sort and I do not want bad juju with any purchase. Sad, we worked to get there at 12 and get on the road. I left a disappointed message and, to his credit, he left me a message apologizing for wasting our time. That action move this from an upset 1 star to a "let's try again next visit" 3 star review. I strongly recommend making an appointment, even during business hours. Some items are so perfect that you won't want to leave without them, like us...

We just visited the new and much larger store (now at 2500 N. Palm Canyon Dr. in the racquet club center) and couldn't believe the huge and amazing inventory they had! Mid century (and also some really cool 60s and 70s) stereo equipment, chairs, tables, rugs, desks, bbqs, couches, patio furniture, the list just goes on and on... so much unique and cool stuff in one place. The owner was super laid-back and friendly and really knowledgeable on everything. The prices were exactly what they should be for the level of quality and cool stuff they have and some were surprisingly lower than other places we've been. Turns out its been voted the best mid century modern store out here a bunch of times and has been in business for 20+ years and it's easy to see why. Anyway, if you like unique and really cool stuff definitely check this place out when you're in the desert, you won't be disappointed.

New, larger location for this venerable pioneer in desert mid-century modern decor and art. A little outside and North of the "design district." Many rare, signed and/or labeled vintage pieces. Rather high prices reflect the high-quality and possible investment value of the unique merchandise. Owner/manager is friendly and knowledgeable, if it's not here, he will direct you to another store that does. That's a very classy, and unusual business model I really appreciate.

If you have a huge wallet for high end authentic modern furniture, then this is you're place folks. You know when you are in the right place when you see a clear acrylic coffee table and a golf BBQ. Prices at this place is not affordable though. But it's ok the merchandise in this store are in excellent condition. Yes these items can withstand the desert weather. I would say it is worth every penny though. The guy that runs the joint is very laid back down to earth. He has great taste in furnishings. You will fall in love with this place TRUST ME!!!.

An great place to shop for Mid Century material in PS!

Modernway's vintage mid century furniture and accessories are the hippest in Palm Springs for that cool modern lifestyle. This is one of my favorite must stop retro modern shops in Palm Springs and in the Uptown Design District.

Cool stuff! Really cool 60-70s modern furniture, art, etc. Cool Nico Zographos chairs. Looking for Ames stuff though.

I have deep love and devotion for Modernway! Nobody does it better! Don't even think about going anywhere else until you have gone to Modernway first! Modernway is the only way!

Truly, one of the best sources to find very cool & eclectic furnishings. Without fail, every time I'm visiting PS, I always stop & take a look... you never know what you'll find? Have purchased some incredible pieces! Thank you Modernway - you're the best!

If you love high end mid century modern furnishings, this is the place to go. They have prime examples of iconic pieces from 50 - 70's. I thought this was one of the best curated shops in Palm Springs. I wanted most of the pieces in the store. However, be prepared to drop some serious $$$$ if you want to buy anything coz it ain't gonna be cheap. They had my dream sofa, a space age Warren Platner sofa designed for Steelecase. Although it is not inexpensive at close to $8K, it is still cheaper than ebay which had one listed for $11K.

wow, this place is awesome! they always seem to have the coolest vintage stuff here hands down. we've bought a few items here and are always surprised at what a great deal we've gotten and even better, how INCREDIBLY friendly and knowledgeable the guy who own this place is! not at all snotty or pushy like some of the other vintage stores in PS and LA are. we're happy to support a great local PS business like this one and more importantly, we LOVE the awesome furniture we've bought there! :)
