Moe's Original BBQ

Hits the spot when your hundreds of miles away from the south! Cornbread, beans, banana pudding and all the fixins are great. The ribs were a little on the dry side but still worth the bucks spent. Service is only four stars because there is no table service which is fine by me.

So I am a Southern BBQ lover. I stopped in today to try them, the smell alone was so good walking in. It just smelled like barbecue. I did ask this is Alabama style so you know there's a little bit of wet slight kick on these ribs. But there's smoke beautifully they taste great and they're straight up fall off the bone with every bite. I ordered but I didn't notice that they had greens so the young lady blessed me what a sample of greens. I bet it to those greens they're salted with just a light little vinegary to them as if my mom made him herself. The potato salad has just enough of all the goodies in it, to be bursting with flavor. Even the banana pudding was good. Well now I know where I'll be eating every time I'm in this area. I found my lunch. Oh and when you visit this place, Tuto is an amazing artist. All the artwork that you see is there and it's so beautiful. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful dinner.

What a fantastic experience! Moe's menu is simple to follow, easy to order with amazing food to boot. Beers are cold and patio is perfect to enjoy the evening sunset. Catfish was perfectly fried, hush puppies were light and flavourful. Roasted turkey bama style didn't have time to get cold. Baked beans were extra tasty. The banana pudding, though. A small dish that packs in so much flavor I couldn't believe it! Please make a stop at Moe's to experience this for yourself??

Listen, so I 100% bit into a piece of plastic. But that was the best piece of plastic I’ve ever eaten. The sandwich was bomb. I’m definitely gonna get another pork sandwich in the future and maybe just tell them to hold the plastic. But it was solid. Service was great. I will say Mac n cheese was pretty dry and super small portion. Everything else was good.

When we visit or drive through Eagle Valley, we try to stop at Moe’s. Yesterday’s visit did not disappoint. We arrived around 3:30pm and were greeted as soon as we crossed the threshold. We ordered and our food was quickly prepared. I have to give a special shout out to the baked apples side dish- simply delicious. Almost seemed like a dessert- so yummy and very tender. Our two sandwiches were served warm (turkey and pork) on fresh buns with loads of meat. The other sides were tasty and fresh. My only wish would be is that they served more than one kind/flavor of BBQ sauce. With that, I do like that they keep the sauce in warm buckets for customers to grab. See you again Moe’s during our next visit!

Blackened Mahi sandwich is by far the best I have ever had. First stop every time I land in Eagle. Bbq pork is good but get the mahi!

Good experience here, good service, and good food. The Marinated coleslaw was excellent, the pickled onions were a nice addition. The baked beans were good but not very warm for some reason. The rib sandwich was also good but the protein didn’t have enough smoke flavor in my opinion. The bbq sauce was unique and tasty too. I’ll definitely try this restaurant again.

Super bummed about this meal. Was hoping it was going to be super good! The catfish was over fried and the batter tasted a little too salty. My husband found some dead flies in meal. There was a shrimp in mine, not a super big deal for me but if someone was allergic to shellfish this could have been a big issue. Service was fast though!

WOW! We chose MOE'S to cater our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff went above and beyond to create a memorable evening. The Food: They didn't show up with pre-sliced brisket and smoked turkey they hand carved the meat just before serving moist ,flavorful smokey heaven! The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The BBQ sauces really complemented the meat. Out of this world Mac and Cheese and baked beans ! The grilled corn bread was such a treat. The slaw, not your typical mayo drenched but a delightful marinated side dish sure to please all. The service: From set up to clean up top notch. The food was plentiful and hot food stayed hot via chafing dishes the entire evening. The staff were so very friendly and professional assuring our guests received their undivided attention the entire evening. Thank You Moe's of Eagle Co !

As someone from Alabama that enjoys Moe's BBQ all the time, I love this place! I got a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and banana pudding and it was all delicious. I just wish the prices were a little better and the portions were bigger. The service was friendly and quick. It was relatively busy, but we went on a Friday night so that's probably why.

Just OK Ordered takeout for 5 and it wasn't as good in past years. Sides accompanying the platters are also quite small.

Classic Original Moes. Great to see some Alabama rep in Colorado. Love this place. It gives you a feel of the south in a non southern state. Pulled pork was a little bland so I needed a lot of BBQ sauce, but that sauce is good. Friendly staff. Easy seat yourself place.

We have driven by Moe's many times to and from the airport. Finally stopped in for lunch and wish we had stopped a long time ago. We had ribs and a turkey sandwich with beans and potato salad sides. All amazing food ! What stands out tho was the fantastic customer service from Jeff. My wife is sensitive to any peppers or chiles and even paprika. He tried very hard to find something she could eat. He went over and above and made her some prime rib and saved the day. Thanks for your efforts with a smile .

A few minutes off the freeway and plenty of parking, this is a classy BBQ joint. Ribs were sold out so went for the bbq salad with turkey. Includes a drink and piece of cornbread. Terrific dinner. Thanks!

The food is amazing. Tender meats full of flavor. It's not Texas or Kansas City bbq but it beats the pants off of Rudy's and dickys. The staff are happy and helpful. The environment is simple with a splash of western, and also clean.

Food was so so. $35 for two pulled pork sandwiches with a couple of tiny sides and two drinks is crazy. Ambiance is decent, but the service wasn't friendly at all. Don't bother tipping. You have to order AND grab it from the counter after they call your name. It's BBQ fast food. It's really only a small step up from what Wendy's used to be. Good luck.

Good overall and the staff was the best part of our experience! Pulled pork, potato salad and the slaw were amazing! The Mac n cheese was a dry. The beans had great flavor but were cold. Beer price and atmosphere were also good!

I love ribs. They were dry , the sauce sucked, green beans special was can beans warmed up. Salty as hell. The hazy beer was one of the best I ever had.

The place was nice and the bbq was alright.. definitely not the best I've had. The staff was super kind and helpful and bathrooms quite clean. I did end up getting food poisoning when I went yesterday, not really sure what part of my meal caused it but it's made the time since going very miserable.

Great pulled pork sandwiches, Choice of about 10 different sides with a drink for $12. Kids meals are $7 and are very large ( large enough for adult) and come with a side and drink. Banana pudding is a winner with the kiddos. Sides are in a small Styrofoam bowl. Buns on the sandwiches are fresh and have a great taste. Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of seating, staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

This is an incredible venue. Moving to the valley and coming to this restaurant for our first family dinner was amazing. Good food, good people, good seating, good music! We will be back!

A great local spot with exceptional BBQ. Just tried their wings and was SO IMPRESSED. Crunchy exterior and soft and smoky and juicy inside. What more could you want?? I love when they have their smoked chicken salad as a special as well. Always friendly service and quick. Priced right. Just wish they had more draft beer selections. They seem to never change.

Had the turkey plate with 2 sides and 2 ribs added. Only thing i didn't love was the side cornbread dressing, I'd try something different for a side next time. Cornbread itself was fantastic.

Visited this place during a business trip to Avon, Colorado. The owners are from Alabama and have grown to more locations since they opened this one a few years back. The BBQ is truly one of the best I have had in recent years. Not sure when I'll be in Colorado but I'll def check their locations in Alabama next time I'm there.

Solid place. Always busy (even for lunch). They have great daily specials that let you mix it up or order off the regular menu.

Such a feast after a day of ski at Vail! Our hotel was in Eagle so we came here for BBQ, starving and exhausted. Both the brisket and pulled pork were extremely flavor and with the right level of lean and fat meat. My favorite side was the marinated claws which was a perfect match for the meat. A lot of local came here and ordered takeout as well.

Stopped in for the first time. This is an "Alabama" BBQ, which evidently means they don't have brisket. What they serve is turkey pulled pork ribs, and a couple of other things. I ordered the turkey, which was good enough. The Black Eyed Peas were a bit too spicy to eat, and the banana pudding that I got as a side had no bananas in it, two vanilla wafers and a banana meringue. It was not good. The cashier was nice and the atmosphere in the building was nice as well. Not sure I would go back.

Moe's has above average BBQ especially for the Vail Valley. I highly recommend their happy hour which is daily from 3-6 and all day on Sunday! Hard to beat their wings and drink specials during happy hour. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for BBQ!

Amazing service and bbq ribs to perfection. Stopped by after rafting, have been living in Australia for 6yrs brought my fiance from New Zealand who's passionate about smoking meats, we have a smokers back home. He declared was absolutely delicious. Met Jeff the owner who gifted my fiance with a tshirt. Thank you so much! Just as great as I remembered when I lived in Vail 2014!

We had Moe's cater a BBQ gathering for 140 people, and it was incredible. I ordered online, and then had a helpful call with the folks at Moe's to make sure I had the right quantities. The food was an absolute hit, and the service and friendliness of the staff was wonderful. There was a slight hiccup with our pickup order, but Ben immediately dropped what he was doing and brought out the missing item. If you are planning a large catering event, you will not go wrong with Moe's. Lastly, we went with pork, turkey, and ribs, and all three were fantastic. Don't leave the rubs off your order!

Great BBQ sandwiches, but my favorite is the smoked chicken sandwich with Alabama white sauce. The Mac & Cheese and the banana pudding are slamming!

Always a solid choice for BBQ when you're in Eagle. Staff is fantastic as well. Take advantage of the patio during the Summer months. You won't regret it.

This is my "go to" in Eagle because of the option to get extra large servings if you want plenty to take home, AND the quality and variety of side dishes. I almost always order off the 'special' sides because they are special.

I wanted to like this place. There are so few options here, but it didn't work out. First of all, there are flies everywhere. That's disgusting! It's also a bad sign, and I should have left. I'm not used to restaurants that have flies flying everywhere. Also, I asked if the meat was juicy, and the friendly cashier said yes and everything was. Not!! I got the chicken and pulled pork. They were dry as hell and overpowered with this super tangy barbecue sauce. They weren't good! The sides were terrible, too. The macaroni was so dry that it formed the shape of the container and you could lift all it out like that with a fork. The greens had so much vinegar in it that it was unbearable. The soda machine also had problems. I can tell they have dirty water pipes. The punch had that old pipe taste and even when I tried just water from the machine it was very noticeable. Such a waste of money going there. I would've been better off at Taco Bell!

The service is fantastic. The girl on the front answered all my questions. The food was out and ready in less than 10 min. Food itself is okay. Not the best but okay for the valley. Meat was soft and somewhat tasty. The mc and cheese was also okay. Awesome prices. We spend about 30-35 dollars on two meals with drinks

Well we aren't coming back here any time soon. So I used to work here before Covid. I was let go because they went down to a couple ppl in the restaurant. They told me they would bring me back when they reopen again. My husband and I went in to eat cuz I was craving wings and the shrimp sandwich. They had all new ppl. What? Why wasn't I called back?! (Another story) I miss making $60 an hour. Anyway. 1. The food was way too expensive. $50 for two ppl to eat. 2. My husband went up to the counter to get a To-Go box and the kitchen manager ( I know he is because I used to work here) THREW the To-Go Box at my husband from the stack. WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK.

Not great, always like to try brisket and fries first time to any BBQ spot, they have neither, had a small rib platter, 20$ with tip, 4 small marginal ribs, chips, and lame baked beans. Won't be back...

Food was cold. These revolving employee really don't care much about quality control. I'm a local and it's really hard to find an outfit that cares about what they give the paying customer.... How hard is it to serve hot plate of food

Amazing bbq chicken, really had hoped to try the turkey. Next time Green chicken chili, cornbread , and a frozen vodka lemonade. Great service at the bar

We happened to drive by, Yelped it, saw the reviews and went in. This place is cool. Staff was friendly, ID'd my 50-something husband so he could purchase a beer. food was really great. We shared the ribs. We had potato salad and baked beans. Both we sooo good. It seemed to be a local place and they were busy at 330 in the afternoon. You know it's good when it's busy at an off time.

Just landed and headed out of eagle, thought I would stop off at Moe's. Never been before. Nice spot, great view. Outdoor music on this night, that was cool. Being from Texas, hard to give perfect marks to a BBQ place with no brisket, but the mahi was surprisingly good. Beans and rice algae really good. Banana pudding excellent. Definitely worth a stop.

I miss the mahi sandwich. I'm not into the heavy meat all the time and like option. The bbq is ok, best we have in the valley, but it does come close to the best I've ever had. A focus on quality is needed.

Some of the best barbecue in the Vail Valley. Not the best BBQ I've ever had but it was definitely quality. We ordered ribs, pulled pork and roasted chicken. I'd say the ribs were my favorite. Their sauces are what really make it I'd definitely stop by here again next time I'm in the area.

As a BBQ lover, this place is just ok. Been many times and I always crave good BBQ but Moes just doesn't do it for me. I know a lot of people here think its the greatest... makes me wonder if they've ever had good BBQ.

The food was great. Please, please, please stop using Styrofoam cups and side dishes and plastic utensils. We all need to change, use compostable utensils or go back to washing dishes please. We eat outside most of the time, tonight we ate inside. Could you put a screen door on the door so we don't have to bat flies out of our meal inside. I expect flies if I choose to eat outside but not inside. How do you keep the flies out of the prep area?? Again, food was great. ​

I absolutely love this place. Very few places that is consistently so tasty. My favorite meal is some boudin, and this is the only place that has it. The boudin balls are genuinely to die for. And I rarely say that about any meal. 10/10 highly recommended.

The passion these people bring for fantastic food and a great experience is all time. Super consistent with food quality every visit. Today May 11th, 2020 I was even more impressed with the words they wrote on the front of the restaurant. See photo here. Be Blessed they wrote, Be Kind. A simple reminder during challenging times dealing with this virus. Fantastic owners, great people in the community. They love this community and they are active in it. This only attracts other great people which is their staff. I always have a smile on my face when I pull in the parking lot. I know it is going to be awesome food but a special place to hangout at too. This is a classic must stop spot.

Great BBQ don't forget to "Add Moe" get the wings! The smoked chicken sandwich is top notch and the staff are super nice! I wish I had one in my home town. The smoked wings and banana pudding are great, definitely try them!!

This is one of my son's favorite barbecue places to eat. It's a rather simple place but it's the service and food that matters most. You order at the counter, the employee writes your name and order on a sheet of butcher block paper and places it in a plastic tray basket. You get your drink and sit down. They'll call your name when it's ready. I ordered the turkey with collard greens, jambalaya. My son had the wings. A thick slice of corn bread comes with the meals. Barbecue sauce and a white sauce were drizzled on the turkey. The turkey was mouth watering moist and flavorful. The sauces were tasty and went well together. The collard greens had pieces of smoked sausage in it. The best collard greens I've ever eaten other than how I make them. The jambalaya was very tasty and was not soupy. The corn bread was warmed up on their grill and was outstanding! I'll return next time I'm in the surrounding area of Eagle!

Stopped here right after we got out of the airport. I had bookmarked this place as somewhere to go is we had time and saw it. Positions where great for the meat! Super BBQ sauce! Ribs where amazing
