My grandson told me about Moes and how it could be one of the best BBQ restaurants in the upstate and Icwas skeptical. It was wonderful! They had a unique spin on banana pudding too. You owe it to yourself to try it.

Google
$11 for 3 sides and a peice of burnt cornbread! Way too small of portions! I should’ve at lest got a plate! The cornflakes on the sweet potatoes is disgusting! The guy who took my order said it was pecans in the sweet potatoes but i didn’t have any! The banana pudding is nasty! It’s definitely something in the banana pudding that’s not supposed to be in it! The collard greens got wayyyyy to much vinegar but that was the best thing thing they gave me! Never again! I suggest yall run!!!!!!

Google
Small portions. Big prices. Average bbq at best. Been here many times out of convenience but this is the last time they get a dime from me and my family. By far the smallest serving of pulled pork I ever had, small even for a child or a girl. Slaw is good, sauce is average. It’s average at best and the prices are exorbitant.

If you want THE BEST smoked wings, pulled pork, smoked turkey and ribs in town, RUN to Moe’s. (That’s Moe’s BBQ y’all). And you KNOW you’re at a legit bbq restaurant when their sides can be your main meal. Let’s start with the baked beans. They have some chili’s and probably a bit of sugar. It’s my go to, and second is the homemade slaw. I’m incredible! And don’t forget the cornbread. If it’s not included with your meal, ORDER A PIECE. It’s “slap yo mama good”. Seriously, try the 4 sides for your meal. And let me brag in the Collard Greens. Just the right hint of vinegar and so delicious. And if you catch them on the right day, you may find the gold at the end of the rainbow….boudin balls. This unique and special treat is pork, sausage and rice that is battered and fried for the most amazing ball your eat. Dip your balls in some Alabama white sauce and your eyes may roll back in your head. And this place brings even more to the table by having Liability Brewery next door. You can bring their beer to Moe’s or take Moe’s food to Liability. It’s a pairing for the ages. Once you eat there, I dare you not to comment and right a rave review. Plus, their atmosphere is laid back, tunes are set to mellow rock and there is also a 10’-12’ diameter firepit outside that is gas and always burning. So grab your kids, grab your wife, and get on down to Moe’s. You can thank me later.

Me and my boyfriend went to Moe’s Original BBQ and it was amazing. I got a salad and everything was very fresh. My boyfriend got ribs and Mac n cheese. We enjoyed everything and it was delicious!!

Google
The biggest wings I have ever seen. The juiciest turkey packed with flavor. Ribs that fall off the bone. Fantastic corn bread. Mac n cheese that tastes homemade. I was very impressed by everything we had from here!

Matt E.

Google
Very good barbecue and atmosphere. The brisket burnt end were awesome but are only available on certain days. The brisket had good flavor and the sauces were good. All the sides were excellent! The coleslaw is a vinegar based and is the best I have had! The collards were very flavorful. My daughter says the Mac and cheese was 10 of 10. Highly recommend.

Google
This food was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Restaurants just aren’t doing what they’re supposed to nowadays. They’ll serve you anything, any kind of way. Imagine my surprise when I took a leap of faith and ordered the catfish…and it was GOOD!! All the food was hot and fresh! I have 2 complaints though. I ordered a kids chicken meal just in case my catfish wasn’t good, I’d still have meat to eat with my sides (which were collard greens and baked beans…macaroni and cheese was oos) the kids meal looks nothing like the photo which I’ll post…and I ordered banana pudding…and it’s actually like a smoothie. Seems like the bananas and pudding was blended together and then poured into a cup. If you like a thicker consistency then I’d say don’t get it. Other than that their food was awesome 👏 also, on to go orders silverware would be great.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my BBQ lunch here. Smoked turkey sandwich had good flavor, a touch of heat and a complexity w slaw and sauce. The pork chili side was delicious, and the green bean side was solid. The staff was super nice. Location is great as you can get beer from Liability next door as part of your outing.

Yelp
We stopped in at Moe's for dinner, and waited at the counter to place our order. While we waited the phone rang and instead of attending to us first, the woman behind the counter answered the phone. We didn't say anything because we are patient. The person on the other end inquired about if there was any brisket left, and when she put the guy on hold to find out, we learned there was one platter left. We let her know that we were also there for brisket, to which she responded that the guy on the phone asked first. Customer service 101- you help the customer in front of you first- always. Restaurant service 101- you help the customer in front of you first- always. I grew up in the restaurant biz from the time I could walk. This is basic stuff. We aren't the type to complain to a manager, but we are the type to vote with our feet. We turned around and walked out and went to another restaurant. We will not return.

Yelp
Love the laid back atmosphere. I've been here several times and thoroughly enjoyed the food at each visit. The buttered toasted cornbread is TOPS!
google avatar

Yelp
I used to be a fan, but this place really went downhill. The portion sizes of the sides got a LOT smaller. Look at all the empty space on this plate and see my spoon for size comparison. Might have well been a kid's meal. The mahi sandwich was the only redeemable part of the meal, the mac & cheese was lukewarm and I could never justify this plate of food for the price. On top of that, they're one of those places that asks for a tip when it's just fast food style "order your food yourself at the counter". If you tipped you'd be paying almost $20. The place was empty at noon on a Saturday, I can see why. Stop cutting corners, you aren't fooling anyone.

Yelp
For years we loved this place. But in the past few years it has gone down hill. They changed the way the cook the wings, not nearly as good. The potatoe salad was just sad. The pulled pork still had fat in it. The service was alright. But at 1 in the afternoon, the guy cussing at the tv at the bar was obnoxious! I doubt we will be back anytime soon, if at all. Sad because it use to be great.
google avatar

Paula A.

Yelp
Yummy! Every time we eat here it is great! Nachos are enough for 2-3 people. Brisket, when available is superb!
google avatar

Brenna D.

Yelp
Super good meat and cheaper compared to other local bbq places the Mac n cheese wasn't great though
google avatar

Lori L.

Yelp
Food here is really good and we came at a good time to where the line wasn't that long. The smoked wings were delicious. I just wish they had ranch to dip it in. They gave bama sauce instead. Kids turkey sandwich was a large portion and the mac was great. All the sides were good but the collard greens was drenched with salt. Not good at all.
google avatar

Amber T.

Yelp
We made Moe's a destination on our journey back from Atlanta. I'm vegetarian, and we came here for smoked tofu! Tofu itself gets 5 stars. And bonus on a Monday when the Mo'Ritas are $5! They were in pint glasses and fresh and awesome. Smoked tofu is a delight for someone like me who hangs out with carnivores! We had the baked beans as a side and they were excellent. The other sides we had were good. The combination of red sauce and their Alabama white sauce was a winner too- and add the Louisiana hot sauce at the table! I was excited about the cornbread from what I had read, but it underwhelmed me. My date recommends the smoked half chicken. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good service! And we loved the music decor with band posters and paintings. It's not a bad side trip from I I 85- give them a try!

Yelp
Okay so I'm not a big BBQ person but I chose a new restaurant for dine out for moms. Wow was this a food choice. We got the rib pack. The 1 1/2 pack. So much food for such a good price. It fed 2 adults. A child and there was even enough for another 2 meals for my 13 year old. Wow. The bbq was great and the ability to get my bbq was awesome. The Mac was so good. The zucchini squash side was good however they didn't have a full portion so they gave us more Mac. The zucchini squash side was good, a lot of onions which I love. I wish I could have gotten it earlier to try it at its peak so I'll for sure be back. The atmosphere is so nice. Very homey . Eat inside or outside. The people are friendly. The parking is horrendous but I know it's no fault of the restaurant. Ha . My ONLY complaint is there's not dessert. I was hoping there was but omg a good piece of cobbler or pie. I get it. Not everyone needs dessert. And this is absolutely a 5 star vote in my book. I'm just saying I love dessert. Regardless the ribs were great. Don't forget to stop by or make a trip just because.

Yelp
Clean with nice country music playing. Our first time here and we liked the corn bread they give you with a platter. Enjoyed the wings, but wanted far more heat. The pulled pork was very tasty but I think bbq sauce could be tangier. Just may taste. We loved the Cole slaw! Vinegar based, with a nearly pickled flavor. The Mac and cheese was home made but a bit dry. The banana pudding was unique with cinnamon, a bit like a banana pumpkin pie.

Yelp
Highlights: - smoked Buffalo wings : crispy, fresh, and well seasoned - corn bread : crispy on the outside, very moist on the inside. Delish. - sauces : good variety. Balances out the meal. And that's all I can say. Pulled pork - it was pretty bad. We were so disappointed especially with the reviews being so promising. The pork tasted and has the consistency of boiled pork. No bueno. There was none of that Smokey, slightly bouncy and chewy juicy Fatty SMOKED pork. Instead, it was so bland and was watery? Not juicy. Watery. I don't even know how that happens. Marinated slaw - vinegar based is fine, but it has big slices of green peppers. I dunno about you, but that don't belong in no southern slaw -.- Mac and cheese - this needed a prayer vigil... a savior... and an almighty power to bring some soul in this poor tormented creation. Lawd father -insert speaking in tongue - please tell your son to put the sandals back on and walk back in this here earth, and as he turned water into wine, I need him father gawd to turn this mac and cheese to actual Mac and cheese, almighty. Yes father. Bring in the cheese, and the butter, and the roux. And the seasoning god. In jesus name! I rebuke thee dry ass Mac and satan. Be gone! ANYWAYS - all in all, the wings are bomb AF though. Their sweet tea, on the other hand, had me going from type 2 diabetes to type 3 diabeetous: dead on arrival ... sOOOooOoo .... heads up on that. We did let the team know of the bad food and they apologized and offered $7 in a gift card (that we will never use because we are out of town folks). Cool people though. Relaxed vibe. Place is clean. Cool fireplace area on the outside. So for all that, 3 solid stars. Happy eating, folks!

Yelp
We were at Liability Brewing sitting outside. Have a greatbeers. My husband is always craving barbecue. I had the redneck nachos with pork and they were the best I've ever had. Could only eat half of them so we're taking some home for a little snack. My husband had the rib plate and got banana pudding. The cornbread was so different and honestly the best ever. Next time we're in Greenville we will definitely be here. Nice job!
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
I just ordered dinner and literally could not even pick it up.... Nowhere to park. Not even an area for to go orders to park. The parking lot has a very limited amount of spaces. I have a health condition and can't park across the street. Even if I could, there is no cross walk and it's a very busy street. Unfortunate. I'll never order here again for this reason.
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
The bbq was excellent, I had the large rib plate with collard greens and potato salad. Dining guest had the pulled pork plate. Served quickly and by friendly staff. Great choice of draft and bottled beer, the Morita was also excellent. Neat and clean store with plenty of outdoor seating. Prices are quite reasonable, excellent value! Well done, hope to come back. I also see the store responds to complaints on yelp, that's great!!
google avatar

Yelp
Let me start off by saying this place is a 10- service, friendliness, clean and TASTY as HELL. The pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and the Mac & Cheese is killer. I ordered a Banana Pudding but too full to taste it so I will assume it's bomb as well. The white sauce was brought upon request and THAT TOO WAS GREAT! I saw someone get the nachos and I will be back for those.. My final note is: if you like California BBQ so much, maybe you should go back to THAT state.

Steve M.

Yelp
Ordered our thanksgiving dinner here. We got the smoked turkey, the "pan" of squash casserole and cornbread stuffing. The "pans" were $18 and said they served 10-12 people. We picked up the food and were given two half pans of the sides. When I got home, I found the sides were in a small bag inside the aluminum pan. The squash is MAYBE enough for 4 people. The stuffing is enough for 6 people max. At $18 each, these were a complete rip-off. I can't believe they advertised these as feeding 10-12. Not even close. Would not recommend this place at all. Update: since the restaurant replied that they were sorry the food didn't meet my expectations, I thought I'd post photos of the squash casserole that is supposed to feed 10-12 people. It's not that it didn't meet my expectations, it's that it wasn't what was advertised.

Christa M.

Yelp
Amazing! Food was Really GOOD! Staff is very nice & Helpful! Food is presented in a very nice and appealing way! I personally had the smoked half chicken, collard greens, green beans, & cornbread! YUMMY! The flavor of the smoked chicken was Great & juicy! The collard greens had a fabulous taste as well. The cornbread could've been a complete treat on its own every meal that everybody else had in our group of six was really good to everybody ranted about the flavors and the taste. The BBQ HAS GREAT FLAVOR!!!!

Yelp
Oh how we just LOVE Moe's BBQ! One of the best BBQ spots in the Upstate. Their corn bread is delicious and be sure to get there early before they sell out of mac and cheese! Vegetarians in the area- rejoice! The amazing smoked tofu makes this spot the only place I know of in the Greenville area where you can be in on the BBQ fun and not just have a platter of sides! :D
google avatar

Anita J.

Yelp
Love this restaurant! For starters, the side options change based on seasonality. I recently had a cucumber and watermelon salad that was outstanding! There is also a variety of mains for all types of diets - from tofu to pulled pork, everyone can find something to eat here! Also, you can sit at Liability and have your food delivered there instead of sitting at Moe's. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Valerie L.

Yelp
The service here was outstanding! The BBQ pork that was on the nachos was great! We liked the nachos the most, but did wish they had tortilla chips. Everything else was just okay. Cornbread was dry. Mac and cheese was okay. Baked beans tasted like Bush's. We stopped here because of the previous reviews and it being dog friendly. We likely won't return. There are better BBQ spots around in our opinion. Did not enjoy the turkey at all.

Bryan E.

Yelp
I have eaten BBQ all around Greenville and I always have to come back to Moe's. Great BBQ, great atmosphere, and staff has always been nice.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
We came for the food, and it did not disappoint. Trust the opinion of a sober customer and hear me that the meal was excellent! I ordered the smoked Turkey which was on point, and the cheesy mashed potatoes were a perfect pairing. The cornbread was toasted on one side like grilled cheese - some of the best I've ever had in the south. My husband loved the BBQ and the collard greens. The Mac and cheese was good, but pretty basic. All in all we will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Velinda B.

Yelp
Love, love, love the green chili! Can't wait to get another order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Phillip S.

Yelp
Some of the absolute best wings we've had. Nachos were really solid. I'm not a big fan of their ribs. Ambiance is cool with an inside and outside. Overall solid bbq.
google avatar

Valentina V.

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner with my family tonight. Great service and delicious food. Friendly staff and wonderful customer service.
google avatar

Skye A.

Yelp
My family was in Greenville to check out the area for moving purposes, and our first night in town we ended up at Moe's. They had a Tuesday night special that per adult entree you got one kids meal free which worked out great for us. The food was really good, and the cornbread had small pieces of jalapeños giving it a flavor I had never taste before. Overall, the experience was great. The two downsides were there was only one style/flavor bbq sauce that we saw, and they didn't offer French fries as a side which is a bit tough when you have kids. Otherwise, the staff was super friendly and nice, and the atmosphere was cool and sort of industrial looking inside. We were starved so I didn't get the chance to take photos of our food this go round.

Two Smiths G.

Yelp
Very good BBQ! The sides are yummy, next door to Liability brewery (one of the best in town) and they are nice and delicious items all over.
google avatar

Jenni R.

Yelp
First of all - I've never felt so safe at a restaurant! There were about 5 county sheriffs that showed up to eat dinner while we were there! It's obviously a hidden gem that is frequently visited by the locals. Our dinner was good - even though they only have one bbq sauce. I was surprised there was no brisket on the menu. We placed our order and then went next door to grab a couple beers. We will return!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
Two different locals told me to check this spot out. I was not disappointed at all. Waddled out stuffed like a tick full of ribs, Q, and sides. Why did I try to eat bread during that meal? And beer? What? Great service at the bar from Andrew and the food came out fairly quickly despite them being busy at prime dinner hour. Check it out if you're there and just pace yourself or else the meat sweats will find you...
google avatar

Beth And Jim S.

Yelp
Solid bbq. Both red and Alabama white sauces. Conveniently next door to brewery. I had the half chicken. Very tasty. Will be back.
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
Wings are spot on. Smoked and your choice of sauce. Great counter service. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of TVs to watch the games.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
I would call this a modern BBQ joint. Along with the standard pulled pork and ribs, you also have the choice of fish, shrimp, and even a salad. Everything we tried was phenomenal! When you walk up, you'll notice the outdoor courtyard has seating, corn hole to play, a fire pit for the upcoming cool evenings, and even some modern-style rocking chairs. It's kid and (maybe?) dog friendly. The courtyard is also connected to the new Liability Brewing Co. Inside, you'll wait in line to place your order and then your food will be brought to you. There's plenty of seating with tables, high tops and booths. The bar is separate from the food ordering process, where there are also several bar stools. They serve your choice of meat on a bun or as a platter with cornbread. Hub and I ordered platters of pulled pork and the blackened Mahi-Mahi, which came with two sides each. I tried the cornbread dressing and, because you can order the banana puddin' for your second side, I promptly did this. Hub tried the collards and the baked beans. The flavors were like, wow! Even the tartar sauce is unique. There were slivers of bacon in the dressing, and hub stated the collards were cooked very well. With such generous servings, next time we'll order one platter with extra sides and share. At the bar they had several unique beers on draft or by bottle or can, and several cocktail offerings. Super friendly and prompt service all around. Parking is tight when it's busy but it looks like there's another lot still to be paved on the other side of the brewery. Two platters and two beers totaled $35. Excellent value. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Ashley J.

Yelp
Was going to get pizza next door but the smell of BBQ was irresistible. Everything was great besides the Mac and cheese; I think you either know how to make it or you don't and this place doesn't. The Mac and cheese was very bland, needed salt and more cheese. The cornbread was so yummy along with the chili, omg that was so savory and delicious I wish I could've gotten a bigger side portion of that. Pulled pork sandwich was great with the sauce on the side. The ribs were so tender but the dry rub was over done on the ends, savory but very salty. With everything combined I can't complain!
google avatar

Barry M.

Yelp
Food was go-oooood, staff very nice, good service. Little noisy but expected with concrete and steel

Dana S.

Yelp
Ordered large rib platter ($16.75 for 6 ribs and 2 sides). Went with sides of mac n cheese and banana pudding. Also had the mogherita special for $5 - which was the only redeeming part of the meal. Ribs were super salty. Inedibly so. Mac n cheese was meh. Banana pudding was a sorry watery mess. The gentleman from the counter walked around and asked how everything was; so, I told him about the super salty ribs and he said 'yeah, sometimes I have them and they're very salty but other times they're good.' WTF

Desiree B.

Yelp
Learned about this place from a friend now I can't stop going. Food is always delicious but sometimes depending on who is in the kitchen can be a hit or miss. They are always pleasant and patient on the phone and in person. They never ever rude when I go and always make sure you have everything and bring the food to the table. There are in a small location but hopefully they move to a bigger place but love the outdoor dining and the rustic inside.

Ron H.

Yelp
I was hoping for brisket but it was sold out. I ordered the ribs, with brisket stew and mac & cheese for sides. A piece of cornbread is complimentary. The ribs were OUTSTANDING either with or without sauce. They had great flavor, perfect tenderness, very meaty and juicy. The stew was good but nothing special. The mac & cheese was old, dry and inedible. The cornbread was awesome. The tables were clean, staff was attentive and nice. I will certainly return when in the Greenville area but show up earlier to try the brisket.
google avatar

Wendy G.

Yelp
I've had a few good meals here, and they make some good BBQ! They've got a weekly special every day, including $5 Bloody Marys on Sundays, and wings for $0.75 apiece on Wednesday night, which I plan to return and try! The barbecue is good, and so is the blackened mahi. Other than collards, which I've had and enjoyed, the sides tend to be starchy. This is on top of the platters already coming with griddled cornbread (starchy and sweet). All tasty, but it'd be nice to have more options that aren't starchy/sweet. Our last visit, we tried the fried green tomatoes as a side and I was surprised to be disappointed in them. They were drizzled with a sweet white sauce, like icing, which I really didn't like, and otherwise were bland. The slaw that comes with the blackened mahi is also sweetened, too much for my taste. But the fish itself is seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and served with what may be a house-made tartar. Decor is industrial chic. Order at a counter after standing on line, and bring a number to your table for your food to be brought to you. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. During milder weather, the big garage doors between indoors and outdoors stay open. Full bar. Good place, worth a try for BBQ fans.

Bill C.

Yelp
The best wings I've had since moving to Greenville..the turkey and fried shrimp were great, too. The collard greens and hushpuppies were very good..I will definitely go back.
google avatar

Grace S.

Yelp
great bbq joint! I just got a few of the sides and had a little taste of my sister's pulled pork and it was great! prices are reasonable and staff is super friendly! will definitely come back if in this area again!

J D.

Yelp
Sorry...but the price was right but taste so so..quantity lacking..we had ribs, pulled pork,Mac and cheese ,coke slaw...wife said ribs ok..pulled pork I thought was good...sides really lacked taste ..coke slaw was really lacking taste.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
This was our first visit to Moe's (we are new to Greenville) but not our last. The staff was very sweet and the bbq was very good. Enjoying a good beer by the fire pit in a rocking chair was a definite bonus.
google avatar

Vianca P.

Yelp
For my first time here, it was just ok. The time change had the staff a little short handed so when I initially sat at the bar, the bartender didn't even acknowledge me while I sat there. I realized there was a line forming at the register so I asked where to order drinks and he stated well we usually have someone there but we were short staffed today. Anyway, I had the redneck nachos with chicken that they initially dropped and had to make another order. They were good. The sweetness of the kettle chips was refreshing to the heat of the jalapeños and their queso was pretty good. My friend had the salad but they ran out of chicken (probably went with my nachos) so she had Turkey and enjoyed the salad and the homemade ranch dressing. The restaurant ran out of a few things and it seemed like an off day for them, so it was just ok for me.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
Very good quality. Very quick service. A nice casual interior to this restaurant. Good beer choices. I had the Pork dinner. Nice sauce, yet not smothered. I appreciated their balance.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Wow. Went in for lunch and the smell of BBQ punches you right in the face. I tried not get too excited because I have been to places that smelled great but the food tasted like a 20 yr old track shoe. The bbq sammich comes with 2 sides. The bun was so tender. The meat was perfect and moist. My sides of beans and slaw were amazing. Will I be back? Do you need to ask?? Update from Sep 15: Went back for dinner and it was louder inside but college games were on, Liability was open next door, and it still has the new place smell. That being said the food was still great. And I'm eyeing those take home packages for when you are having a few peeps over. Yum! And I want to come back for the fire pit and aluminum rocking chairs!
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
Moe's prepares outstanding BBQ in a very friendly environment. The nachos and wings are exceptional and so is the rest of the menu. The beer selections are always varied enough for multiple tastes (thank you for having pilsners and lagers for those of us who aren't IPA fans!). We've made friends from the neighborhood just sitting around the fire pit, which is an added bonus. We're taking family there for dinner tonight - can't wait!
google avatar

Neil M.

Yelp
Came in from North Carolina. Spent years in Northern California in the Bay Area. Moe's Original came highly recommended by some friends. Was pleased they had a "special" of Brisket so I order this with beans and collard greens. The greens were the best part of the meal. The beans were :"ok", nothing wrong with them but absolutely nothing special. The brisket was cold and been lying around for 20 minutes. Very disappointing. Sorry, I can't recommend them. If you are in Northern California, go to Trail Dust in Morgan Hill, you won't be disappointed with Brisket.

Yelp
Moe's is hands down my favorite chain bbq place. Now that the one is Charlotte has closed, we go out of our way to visit this location. I love the catfish sandwich and I've never had a bad side. The wings are amazing. Try them with the white bbq sauce. Service isn't over the top friendly, but the food comes out quickly, so I'm good.
