We also want to give a special shout-out to the incredibly helpful assistant onsite team manager Vinay during our Sunday brunch. Honestly, rating Moghul on a standard 5 or 10-star scale feels utterly inadequate. They deserve a resounding 110/10! By the end of the wedding celebrations, our guests were in the best kind of "food coma" imaginable! Even now, a week later, we are still receiving compliments on the absolutely outstanding food. Moghul didn't just cater our wedding; they provided us and our guests with an unforgettable experience. Moghul is the best caterer hands down. My son wanted to have Indian street food with a twist on the Sangeet day and wanted to have western dishes on the Reception day. He did not want to go with Moghul for the Reception day. He loves cooking and wanted his dishes served on that day. I convinced him to do a tasting at Moghul for both days. After a couple of tastings and a few adjustments my son was convinced and we moved forward. Chef Monty along with Rajiv delivered excellent food and service on both days. I was a little worried myself if they would be able to pull it off for a sit down dinner for 250. They did a marvelous job. If you are looking for Indian,Italian or any other fusion menu Moghul is your caterer.

For our wedding event  we chose Moghul Caterers from Edison, NJ—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made!From the breakfast to lunch  every single item  was great and all our guest  were raving about the food! It was such a great experience working with Dimpy throughout the whole process! The  on site team Moghul provided  on the day of the event of was exceptional they were so kind and their attention to detail was truly outstanding. Even now, we are still receiving compliments! We catered from Moghul for our 25th Anniversary celebrations. Everything went smoothly and the guests loved the food. Working with the team for the order was smooth. The staff who turned up were super professional and pleasant to work with. Great experience.

I had a great experience using Moghul catering for multiple wedding events! They were very responsive when I was deciding the menu and provided good food and timely delivery.

My husband and I got married in October 2024 in a traditional Hindu wedding, consisting of multiple different functions, all of which were catered by Moghul. We specifically worked with Dimpy Pingle and she was fabulous! She went out of her way during each function to check in with my primary family members to see if there is anything else she could help with. Given that we were the bride and groom, we didn't get to enjoy the food as much as we would've liked, but in the months after we heard from many of our guests that the food was delicious. If I have to cater again for another function, it'll definitely be through mogul specifically with Dimpy!

Moghul catered the food for our reception on June 15, 2024 at Floral Terrace, NY. Everyone was raving about our food - quality, taste, and much more. Everyone was sincerely surprised that an all vegetarian food menu could be so delicious and so perfectly executed. I am so happy that Moghul was our caterer and proud that you could be part of our day. Food was truly incredible. They have a lot of variety that you can choose from, and they work with you to figure out what would be best for your event and guests. My sincere thanks to all the staff that came to help us including the chefs, waiters, setup/cleanup staff, and my sincere thanks to you for helping accomodate us without any worry. I also heard from Floral Terrace how much they appreciated your detailed back-work in preparing so precisely for the event. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to cater their event!

My cousin got married over the weekend and it was a classic Indian wedding which included various events for which we had the lucky pleasure of having Moghul Catering for our food. First of all the food was AMAZING! We were all very impressed! From the first event to the last event, Moghul Catering provided amazing food and more impressively everything they made was great. The south Indian food as well as the North Indian food was great which is definitely quite a challenge. We want to give a special shoutout to Dimple who communicated with us and led a team who were all so nice and provided amazing service which made us all feel so comfortable. I cannot recommend Moghul catering enough and we are very happy to have chosen them for the wedding!!

We worked with Kkunal at Moghul Caterers for our wedding dinner in October. We're so glad we went with Moghul to create a unique and delicious wedding menu for us. The appetizers definitely stole the show, it's been a few months and everyone is still talking about the black pepper baos and lamb seekh kebabs! The main courses were delicious too, with the lamb being a standout item. The Moghul team was easy to work with throughout and it was great to be able to text the team as we were leading up to the big day. 10/10 would recommend them for catering large events! *pictures included are from our wedding tasting!

We went for a tasting this past Saturday and drove up from Virginia. Our decor vendor recommended Moghul to us. The tasting experience was phenomenal. This place knows how to run a restaurant business. Everyone was very sweet from the front end staff to the waiter, even the chef came out to speak with us and the owner. We are very impressed with the customer service. Now coming to the food the taste and presentation was amazing. We ate so many appetizers that we had to take a break for about an hour and a half and came back to eat the entrees and dessert. Everyone was understanding and accommodating. A shout out to the chef Vipul who explained the food in detail and gave us great suggestions. We look forward to hiring them for our wedding.

Moghul did an excellent job catering our wedding. Staff is professional. Our compliments included that the food was delicious, plentiful and had great presentation! I wouldn't choose anyone else! An extra thank you to Dimpy and Moghul team for treating us so well during the tasting as well!

We hired Moghul Catering for our wedding in NJ and were extremely satisfied with the results. We worked with Dimpy, and she was very helpful throughout the process. We wanted Pakistani cuisine, and were able to customize the menu to our liking. Everything turned out perfectly on the day of, and the food was amazing. Special shout-out for lahori fish fry, samosa channa chaat, broccoli spinach cream cheese kebab, yellow daal with garlic tadka, tres leches rasmalai!

They are undoubtedly the best !!!! Whether its food or service , they are the most professional caterers I have ever dealt with. Their manager Rajeev sachdeva takes special pains to make sure that every aspect of the party is taken care of so you dont have any stress. In fact their people make sure that they clean up at the end so the place is spotless. As far as the food is concerned, you cannot go wrong with whatever you choose. After eating at one of Moghul's affiliated restaurants (Mithaas in Hicksville), we decided to stretch our budget to fit Moghul in for our wedding this spring. It was one of the best decisions we made in the entirety of our wedding planning. We worked with Rajeev to work out the details of what we wanted (from Moghul's broad array of menu choices) and took a bit of a chance, as we were so busy that we couldn't even make it out to NJ for a tasting beforehand. But the results were incredible. Our guests were so happy with the food that they couldn't stop eating -- from our baraat breakfast snacks to the South Indian lunch and then the exquisite cocktail hour snacks and reception dinner (with more Punjabi style dishes). We received rave reviews from every single person we spoke to (we served all vegetarian food, yet didn't get any complaints from the carnivores!). Some attendees who flew in from abroad said our wedding had the best food they'd eaten anywhere in the world! The presentation of the food was as good as the taste, and Moghul was generous with the quantity of food as well (all our guests were able to eat to their heart's content). Rajeev and his staff managed everything impeccably (and likely starred in many an Instagram story!). Their interactions with the venue management were flawless, from providing the necessary insurance to coordinating on the necessary equipment and facilities, timely setup and breakdown, and thorough cleanup. Our one regret is that (like many brides and grooms!), my now-wife and I didn't get a chance to eat as much as we'd have liked to (given the hectic schedule and needing to meet people and take photos). But the things we did get to eat were, universally, incredible. If you can get Moghul to cater your wedding, there is no better option out there.

Our wedding reception was on dec 2, 2018. We had used Moghul previously for my sister's wedding and they did not disappoint. Moghul was amazing every step of the way. Dimpy was our point person and was very kind, patient and thorough. When telling our venue who our caterer was, they were thrilled to know it was moghul. It was clear they had a respected name in this industry. They arrived at a timely manner on the day of the event and were very well organized throughout the event. All my guests raved about the food and service. Many who usually just drink during the reception ate plenty:) our families and guests were more than pleased. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We used Moghul for our Friday night event and appetizers at our wedding on Saturday, and the food and service were absolutely fantastic! We worked with Dimpy and Neeraj to prepare the menu, and they both were professional and easy to work with. As our wedding was not in NJ, Neeraj flew down to Ky to see the venues and plan the equipment, servers they would need. On the day, everything went very smoothly and the food was AMAZING. The guests raved about the food both nights, and it was certainly one of the highlights of the whole wedding. Items that stand out were the biriyani station, lacha paratha made to order, tandoori mushrooms, jalapeno shrimp, and the idli fries were unique and delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Mogul catering is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious. Mogul catered the food for our wedding on 8.24.19. I couldn't have been more happier with the food as all the guest were raving about it! Moghul saved me last week. My wife put me in charge of finding a caterer for our party that was in 4 days! Moghul stepped up to the challenge, meeting and exceeding our expectations. Food was incredible and staff was super friendly. We can not wait to use them again!

We chose Moghul as our caterer after the first tasting! We loved the food and variety that they had to offer. They are also one of the only Indian caterers who were able/comfortable/confidant in serving both South Indian and North Indian dishes - which was important for our wedding. Moghul catered multiple events for us - mehndi, wedding dinner, brunch, and reception. We did not have to repeat a single food item. One thing that makes Moghul unique (compared to other caterers) is that they cook most of their items on site - so the food is made fresh. I worked with Rajeev and Sameer for my events and they were both wonderful. Our guests loved the food overall, but I will mention a few of the highlights: - samosas (one of the my friends' actually said that they were the best samosas she has ever had) - we had 3 live stations at our reception cocktail hour: paneer kati roll, spinach tikki, aloo chat. Once again, I heard raving reviews about all three. - Ras malai fruit lacha (unique dessert, LOVED it) - Fresh uttapams at brunch In addition to the food itself, I must say that the presentation of the food was also commendable. If you decide to cater with Moghul, here are a few tips: 1. Book early. Moghul is busy especially during the summer months - if you wait till the last minute, you may miss out. 2. Do multiple tastings, even if you have to pay for the tastings. I did three (which is a lot!) but it was worth it. I tasted most of the items on my final menu and it helped me to tweak my menu so that it was exactly what I wanted. If you find yourself liking the food from one tasting MUCH more than another, make sure to ask for that particular chef for your event. 3. Ask your Moghul contact for suggestions when you run out of ideas. They are constantly coming up with new dishes - we had many food items for our events that were not listed in their catering menu. 4. Meet with them in person. Initially, we only email-ed or spoke with Moghul on the phone - and realized that things were getting missed, emails were not answered or answered with significant delays. This was making me VERY nervous. I don't think it is the fault of any one person in particular because they are extremely busy. However, this is the reason that I am taking one star away. The process was a bit stressful - but that changed once we met them in person, so I highly recommend that you do so. 5. and finally, don't be afraid to negotiate :) Overall, their food was delicious and I highly recommend them.

We worked with Dimpy and Manan for our wedding and they completely blew us away. They were so easy to work with and had the best suggestions. The day of our wedding, they did an incredible job of setting everything up. They helped us pick out really unique items on our menu like Idli fries and Beet kofta and we were completely obsessed with our menus. Our guests have been raving about our food selections and that is all thanks to them. Moghul catering is amazing and we will only ever use them for catering Indian food in the future. Thank you guys for making our wedding day better than we could've imagined! You and your entire team are the absolute best!

Second large event for us in 2 years--catered by Moghul team of experts. Great food, loved by 200+ guests, hundreds of wows for presentation. Not one complaint! Moghul knows how to make an occasion a memorable event. Thanks Kamal Arora for running an efficient organization and thanks Dimpy Pingle for coordinating everything from initial meeting to on-site supervision! Dealing with you has been a pleasure. If the limit wasn't 5 stars, I'd give you six. Kudos!

This was the worst catering service we have ever experienced. While they were responsive over email, the day of the event was a total disaster. We specified in our contract that we would like the food delivered by 6 PM. However, the caterers arrived at 3 PM. The two people who came to deliver the food told us they were instructed the wrong time. Given that it was nearly 90 degrees outside, we advised them to return back so the food does not get spoiled. From what we gathered, the drivers did not go back and may have stayed in another parking lot, while the food rotted in the back. When it was time for the delivery, the event had already started. They then asked for hot water to place underneath their trays. Because of this, a few of our guests were forced to help out and not enjoy the event. Additionally, when they were done placing the food on their respective trays, they simply left. They had not taken off the aluminum covering and they kept the plastic shrink wrap on the food. By the time it was dinner, we came to see how it was left. As a result, we had to unwrap the food and a few people cut themselves from the sharp aluminum and burned their fingers taking off the shrink wrap. This was THE WORST catering experience we have ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. My advice would be to stay away from these large restaurant groups as they are driven more by profit than a satisfied customer experience.

The most professional caterers I have ever experienced. They saved my big day. I had to find a last minute caterer for my wedding reception two weeks prior to my event. They were thankfully available but even more than that they were absolutely easy to work with. They gave me everything thing I wanted and more. My event had 600 very happy and full guests. If they recommend something listen to them. They know food. They are number 1 in the industry for a reason and if you choose them as your caterer you will never be disappointed. They will exceed your expectations. Thanks Neeraj for making my big day (May 12th 2018) full of yummy memories.

While the food was great, the manager who came with the food broke down the buffet early like about 10:30 PM, packed every items and left. He said that he had put the food with the hotel but I did not get it the following day in the morning. The hotel said that there was no food.

Payal Mehta gave great support with menu selection. Neeraj Shokeen and his team provided excellent service at the wedding and reception venue. My guests LOVED the food. I highly recommend Moghul Caterers.

If you are planning a wedding or event DO NOT use this caterer. My wedding was cancelled due to hurricane irene and they refused to refund a large portion of the money I prepaid them even though they will file a claim and be reimbursed for said expenses and loss of business through their insurance company. They will find anyway they can to scheme extra money from you. it is a sad fact.

Mogul provided the food service for my event last weekend. Both the service and the food were excellent. My guests loved everything. Right from the beginning (tasting menu to finalizing the menu), I had a great experience working with their staff. They are very professional and always followed up promptly. They are the best in the tri-state area!!
