I have visited this place on numerous occasions and every single time the food was like a poem (although I always end up ordering the same). Beef tartare 10/10 Veel Schnitzerl 10/10 Kaiserschmarrn 10/10 Service 10/10. On my last visit we included also the starter with hokkaido Pumpkin and the spinach dumplings. Again mind blowing composition of flavours. Can't wait for the next time ❣️

The best Kaiserschmarrn I have ever eaten in my life, please of you’re in Graz just go there for that.The schweinschnitzel was ok a little bit dry. And the fritatten suppe is a must in Austrian cuisine.

We stubbled upon this place by accident and it was the best schnitzel and kaiserschmarrn we ever had! The restaurant was packed, however we got to sit at the bar and we don't regret staying! Staff was absolutely lovely to us, even in rush hour, English was not a problem. The food was delicious, fresh and pricing was very generous (compared to other European cities). From our observation, the place is mainly visited by locals, which is always a good sign :)

Mohrenviert is a restaurant I discovered thanks to Google reviews, which were very encouraging. I visited around 3 PM, and it seems that between 2 PM and 5 PM the menu is a bit more limited, more of a bar-style menu compared to what they serve after 5 PM. That said, we had a really delicious meal. The beef tartare was absolutely amazing – highly recommended for anyone who loves tartare. The taste was incredible, almost making you wonder whether you’re eating meat or some kind of perfectly prepared vegetables. Truly outstanding, easily a 10/10. We also had the Wiener Schnitzel. The choice was a bit limited at that time of the day, but the schnitzel was very tasty and well prepared. If you’re a fan of schnitzel, you won’t be disappointed. Finally, we tried the half chicken (I don’t recall the exact name). We expected it to come in pieces, but it was breaded, a bit in the style of KFC – still very tasty and enjoyable. The staff is very friendly, though sometimes they don’t immediately notice guests, which can make the service feel a bit slow at times. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Graz

Wonderful experience! The tartare is fresh and the seasoning is special without covering the original taste of the meat. I would definitely recommend it. The Schnitzel is great with crispy outer layer. They have two options for it: one is pork and another is veal. We tried the pork one and they handled the original taste of the pork very well. Also, I was impressed by the potatoes. The cake of the day is delicious too. It’s not too sweet and won’t make you feel too much after finishing it. And the ice cream dip is a surprising fit for the cake. Staff are friendly and caring. Had a great time eating here. PS. The cake of the day might vary by chef’s choice and the wait time is a bit longer than other dishes (about 20-30 minutes), so if you’re tourists rushing between attraction spots, do think it thoroughly if you have time for it before you order it.

With just one night in Graz and no bookings we turned up at Mohrenwirt based on the reviews, and despite the place being packed they quickly seated us at the bar. I’d describe the food here as being comfort food, but it was very good, and the service was warm and friendly and the wine recommendations were superb. A great first night stop in Graz.

On our first visit, I was happy with it. Loved the beef soup, and loved the snitzel. However, on second visit, total disappointment. We came for a second time, because I've seen they have venison goulash. When I got it, first thing that annoyed me was that they have covered spetzel with cream. Ok, different places, different customs, I can work around it. However, when I've turned towards goulash, I've noticed that there is cranberry jam in the middle of it. Thinking again, "ok, if I mix it a bit, and add those spetzels, maybe it will not be as bad". However, it was horrible. There was so much jam in it, you couldn't taste anything else. Horribly sweet. Such a disappointment. And reaction of waitress, when she has seen I pushed it aside was "cherry on the cake". She tried to convince me that it says that it will be mixed with so much cranberry jam. No, it does not. It says that it will be served with cranberry jam, like with most of the meals here, in most of the restaurants, where it is served on the side. I certainly could not expect that when I've order venison goulash to get something with more jam than some strudel would have. Such a disappointment. She did offer to get me a new portion without it, but I know what usually happens in such places when guest returns the meal, so no, thank you.
