"Come to this little North Beach bakery for the Venezuelan empanadas. Then make the very easy commute across the narrow restaurant to one of the high-top tables, locate the wonderful house sauce, and be careful not to burn your tongue off. These empanadas are great - soft and chewy rather than the flaky variety. Get the one stuffed with queso or pabellón and, if you want to save your tongue from some serious trauma, try biting little holes in the corners and blowing the steam out like you’re playing an empanada saxophone before you bite in." - Ryan Pfeffer

Delicious baleadas, pastries, and more! Mostly Spanish-speaking staff, super friendly. I knew enough to ask the baker to pick me out a small box of 7 of her favorites since I mostly didn’t know what each item was …definitely the right choice! Got a mix of guava, cream, pineapple, etc and each was fantastic.

I'm very disappointed, really bad service. I will never buy anything else here. Is it too difficult to be a nice person with your customers? I don't think so.

The best fried plantain you can find. Decent carne asada tacos.

I'm grateful to have this Central American bakery nearby with affordable food options. However, the quality of the food is lacking. Specifically the pupusas that cost the same as any Salvadoran restaurant, are salty, heavy on cheese and extremely low on the other ingredients that make a good pupusa (like beans or chicharron)- they're basically all cheese pupusas with a droplet of the ingredients you're really looking for. The prepared panes are okay (for the price) and are high on salt. I'd really only suggest coming here if you don't wanna ball out on a meal but are hungry.

Pupusas(flavor, ingredients)👎 Pastries aren't fresh every day. Customer service could be better. Atmosphere is okay.

I love it they have freshly made bread daily, and they have salvadorian breakfast, snacks, antojitos, cheese, and drinks. I love to go here when I want a quick snack like pupusas, pastelitos, tamales, pan con pollo, o un atol de elote. The warm foods are done early cause the cooks leave early so don't wait until afternoon to get a hot snack.

This day I went to buy sweet bread and 3 corn tamales, the girl who served me warmed them up and charged me everything, the surprise was when I got home ... that only the sweet bread was there. I called them to tell them what happened and they were not responsible, it is unfair that they do this with their clients, those who attend should be more focused on what they do and not steal in this way from clients of years

Thank you so much for helping us create a special birthday for our son so far from home. With little notice you created delicious cupcakes from scratch, delivered them to our campsite, at a reasonable price. We are very pleased.

Yelp
La mejor panadería en el área y los precios accesibles, la variedad es muy buena y tal ves taiko ellos tienen pan centroamericano que no hay en ningún otro lado La comida es única y deliciosa es lo más cercano a la tradición definitivamente un lugar para recomendar

Yelp
Found Moises Bakery on my way home from work and I'm glad I did. I'm always looking for places that have good pan dulce. And Moises Bakery doesn't disappoint. The pan dulce was perfect with un cafecito. Will be back to try the pupusas.

Yelp
The oatmeals and rice puddings are way too sweet some of the sweet bread is really hard I went in there they skipped me and I told them they skipped me and they said to get in the back of the line and wait again there was 5 people in back of me so I left I'm never returning ever again

Yelp
Moises Bakery offered unpriced baked goods and a few edibles stored in a warm compartment. eatery section closed. edibles premade, single cashier on duty. lots of seating. offerings: pupusa, salvadorean/guantamalean tamale, breakfast, atole de elote, plantains, desserts, tortas, panderia, etc. eats: loroco y queso pupusa, queso tamale @2.50 -tamale wrapped in a lot of banana leaf, not big masa, silky smooth, loaded with lard? strong cheese taste, not much cheese seen. -pupusa tasted heavy of cheese, loroco probably melted, not seen. curtido fresh but lacking flavor. mild salsa very watery. take outs: -many salvadorean eateries nearby. maybe better dining. -street parking only.

Yelp
Moises bakery formerly known as Angels bakery is by far the best tamales on this side of the Bay. Always order in advance for the holiday season or you'll be stuck in line. At 2.75 each I ordered 25 Tamales. Support your small businesses, come here for your tamales!

Yelp
It's a nice bakery that sells sweet breads I've eaten since childhood. It is also a Christian Bakery based on reading the writings/scripture on the walls as I entered into the business. However, they are NOT non-hispanic friendly. This racism during this time in all of our lives is not going to bode well for them financially and is THE primary reason I will not recommend this bakery UNLESS you are Mexicano or Gringo.

Yelp
I really Enjoy the pupusas coffee and sweet traditional bread! The staff is nice, they make them without cheese if you call and order in advance.
