At the beginning, we had a rough start because we had made a reservation and, for some unknown reason, we got the worst table in the restaurant, close to the patio door. We were freezing that day and asked three times before we finally found a good employee who switched us to an amazing spot. The cocktails were 10 out of 10; we tried the Yoopi. Before the main dish, they served us homemade pickles and coleslaw. It might sound like a snack shack dish, but it was 10 out of 10. I think the butter was homemade too because they also gave us bread and butter, and the butter was so smooth—10 out of 10. We took the grill platter afterward. Unfortunately, they don't blanch the fries, so the fries were so-so, but it came with three different dips, which was pretty cool. The king of the platter was the lamb, which was the best lamb I have ever eaten. The short rib was very good, but the chicken was too peppery, which was unfortunate because it was perfectly cooked. The New York steak was the disappointment of the evening. I am used to eating high-end AAA steak, and that was not it at all. Maybe it's me who is too fancy, but I was told it was the best steakhouse in Montreal, and the steak was the weak link, lol. The service is out of this world—they give you a hot towel after supper, plus they have valet service too.
