Off the Scout Mob trail we saw a deal for Mojo and since we were feeling like having pizza we decided to give it a go.
Mojo's back parking lot must be shared since there really wasn't anyone in the restaurant, but it was fairly hard to find a spot. So noting that, parking is in back, but you may be stuck on the street. Inside it seemed pretty chill and laid back. For the most part the place was empty with only a few at the bar and a leisurely group at a booth at the front.
The place looks like it could get pretty busy on nights with a stage ready for a live band, TV's at the bar playing any relevant games and so forth, but for that afternoon, it was chill.
Pizza, it's what we came for, and so we got the "Risin' Sun." An inspired Hawaiian style pizza with a sweet and spicy twist. In place of ham came the jalapenos and a dash of red peppers. It sounded good, but the execution not so much. The ingredients aren't fresh, no biggie, not like I haven't had canned pineapple wedges before or del monte pickled jalapenos on a pizza before. While it wasn't a disaster, it should be said that it was kinda sad looking, and not very tasty. No real sweetness to it from the pineapple, but what could be accused of trying to mask something terrible with one ingredient that has some flavor at all, that being the jalapenos. They were about all that had a reasonable flavor to it. The cheese was a congealing mess, and forget trying to eat it later as it just got worse cold or re-heated.
I'm giving them an okay, since they aren't necessarily that awful, just more a let down to fairly unimpressed. If we were in the area and wanted pizza I'd possibly consider them again, but definitely a different pizza.
