It was a journey to get here from Brooklyn. I heard about this spot from a friend. I had the iced pistachio latte and also tried the Dubai chocolate. Surprisingly not too sweet and a great place to end the night. Staff was warm and friendly

Moka & Co deserves all the hype that it gets and I'm glad that they're expanding their number of locations rapidly. I would say that this place is a lot better than Qahwah House which is comparable to it (and the service is a lot better on top of that). Whether it's the refreshers/coffees or the desserts, Moka & Co has a wide selection of goodies. I liked the lotus biscoff tres leches but to be honest I would definitely not call it a tres leches as there was no milk and it was quite dry. Was it still good? Yes, but let's call it a lotus biscoff cake to prevent confusion :). I'll be back!

Revisited Moka & Co recently with my sister to get some work done. While the space is large and airy, I found myself hunting for a table with an outlet - there aren't many, which is a bit of a bummer when your laptop's about to flatline (note to laptop workers: outlet is located at the high seats and two tables near the entrance wall). They do have Wi-Fi though, so that's a plus! This time around, I decided to skip their more unique offerings like the Yemeni coffee and Shai Adeni, which didn't quite hit the mark for me on a previous visit. Instead, I opted for the Pistachio Latte, and my sister went for their Strawberry Lemonade refresher. Pistachio Latte ($9) This Pistachio Latte was pure magic. Hands down one of the best lattes my sister and I have ever had. The balance of sweetness and pistachio flavor was spot on, and it wasn't too bitter. This is definitely going to be my go-to from this spot from now on. 5/5 stars for sure. Strawberry Lemonade ($7) My sister's Strawberry Lemonade was everything she hoped for - sour, tart, and super refreshing. She gave it 4.5 stars, saying it was pretty much perfection in a cup. Service was on point, too - they brought our drinks to the table, which is always appreciated. Overall, I'm bumping my rating up to a full 5 stars. This spot has its quirks, but the drinks definitely make up for it.

It was a very nice day, we were walking around Astoria looking for a dessert place that could help me and my cousin with our sweet tooth and I believe we found one!! This place has so many options of dessert I was surprised to find it! I would recommend the cakes because they are fresh and moist, the only thing is that the cakes that have bread or some sort of donut didn't taste that fresh so I would pick the other options! I would definitely go back and try their beverages, they look delicious!!! The place is open, clean and gorgeous! Perfect for a date too!! Service was fast and very kind about all of our requests

Moka & Co is a great Yemeni cafe in queens! It was poppin' on a weekend night and i get why it's a popular spot! We had to wait a bit for our fo to come out but the staff was kind and helpful. They use original, handpicked Yemeni coffee beans in their coffee and have sooo many dessert options! What we ordered: Shai Adeni ($22 teapot) Pistachio latte ($8) Dragon fruit refresher ($7) Pistachio croissant ($9) Pistachio mousse ($10) Kunafa cheesecake ($10) Bee bites ($10) Baklava i would definitely come back just for a cup of the shai adeni! i can't stop thinking about it cause it's my new favorite milk tea - it's a creamy blend of cardamom and tea if you want a light pistachio dessert, get the pistachio mousse - it has a strong pistachio flavor but has a soft mousse with a bit of raspberry filling bee bread is a classic dessert at Yemeni coffeeshops; it's sweet and savory - a nice balance between honey and cream cheese i would absolutely recommend the pistachio croissant! it was soooo flaky and soft, and i looooved the pistachio cream filling! the mango dragonfruit refresher was pretty but a little too sweet for me (kinda like a jolly rancher), but I liked the chunks of dragonfruit bits in it. pistachio latte was reallllly good - creamy and flavorful there are many seats here + they're open until midnight = perfect spot to chill with your family and friends!

It was eid day and I could not think of a better experience than to try this new cafe right in the heart of Astoria on the action packed Steinway street. My first impression of this place is that the interior is super modern and welcoming with ample seating and great ambience. My friend ordered the adeni chai and I had the saffron chai. First off I will say that the lady at the register had a major attitude, definitely not friendly or polite. When she spoke I could barely hear what she was saying. She gave me no cues to indicate to me that she's ready to take my order, it felt like I was inconveniencing her with my request. I really think the customer facing staff should be friendlier. We ended up getting the tiramisu in the chocolate cup and the saffron milk cake to accompany our drinks. I was surprised that a dessert so small was priced at $12 each, it seems excessively expensive for a 1.5 x 4 inch piece of cake. The chai was made well and I liked the hint of saffron in mine. The saffron milk cake was okay, it was a little too dense and not soaked all the way through. I did not taste the saffron much as flavors were muted. The tiramisu cup left a lot to be desired. It was missing the classic mascarpone cream and the lady fingers in the bottom were dry and not properly soaked. After paying $40 it felt like we got robbed. I hope they can improve on these things.

I got their matcha latte with honey and their Yemeni Chai and I have very mixed feelings. I do like their atmosphere, but the drinks were definitely not great- specifically their Matcha Latte with Honey. It was so overly bitter that I wasn't able to drink it, and it was very grainy. I ended up having to dump it out because it was just undrinkable. The yemeni chai smelled amazing, but I wasn't a fan of the flavor. If you like flavored or heavily spiced foods/drinks, I think this may be a good option for you. Although the drinks weren't my favorite, their service was very good.

I ordered the mango pomegranate refresher, but it was far too sweet for my taste. I also tried the pistachio dessert, which they touted as their bestseller, but it was overly sweet as well. I visited on a Saturday at 9 PM, and the music was so loud that I could barely hear my friends. I'm not sure if I would return.

Wonderful place to sit and work as there is alot of seating. Don't know if there is wifi though. The pastries we got were HOOGE. For 2 people, it's too much lol. I would do 1 pastry per 2 people. Both were really good. One is coffee/tiramisu and the other is a cinnamony biscoff. Coffee was really good too. My partner and I are definitely coming back in near future!

Got intruiged. Tried it. Loveddddd it! This spot is perfect for coffee dates, hang out with friends and even studying space. They specialize in Yemeni coffee and serves yummy high quality desserts. The coffee shop has an ample amount of seating. We went on a morning when it was still quiet and peaceful but few hours later the shop got a little busier. The service is very nice. The place is kept clean and has gorgeous interior. I love the ambiance of this place! A great spot for Yemeni coffee and other amazing drinks and desserts! This spot has been on my list for a few weeks and I'm so happy I finally gave it a try. Located in bustling Astoria, it's a really large space with outdoor seating, which was perfect for the beautiful weather we had. There's a great deal of seating inside and it's really busy and lively. I grabbed a seat inside (thanks allergies) and ordered a 16oz Jubani and a quiche. They also have a wide selection of tea drinks for those who don't like coffee, and some really amazing desserts and pastries. The quiche was really great, although a bit cold. But, it has chicken in it and was fairly filling for me. The Jubani was delicious! If you enjoy ginger in your coffee (it sounds strange but taste amazing!), give this a try! I do plan to revisit in the future and try their other drinks and foods. If you're in the area and want some good coffee or a nice Adeni chai, I recommend popping in!

New addition to Astoria! This cafe is very spacious, a perfect space to get some work done or to hang out. The service was certainly on the slower side - but I did come on a busy Saturday where most of the cafe was filled. Also impt to consider that freshly brewed tea will take some time. It took about 15 minutes to get our items. I thought the adeni chai was lovely, a warm cup of comfort. The sabaya pastry had a lot left to be desired. It tasted dry and eggy and likely just not fresh. The prices are on the higher end. The menu does not list the prices of the pastries, but the sabaya was $10 (underwhelming for its price). A pot of their coffee or tea will run you $20 which is more than other places around.

Astoria's newest coffee shop, Moka & Co, just opened last week. They are a Yemeni coffee shop offering traditional specialty coffees, teas, and desserts. The café is huge, feels very roomy with modern décor. I would imagine it be a great place to hang out and work on your laptop. They just opened last week and are still in their soft opening phase. I'm actually not a huge coffee person so I came mainly to check out their dessert. The display case showcased some very impressive looking pastries. They had some traditional pastries (croissants, muffins, breads) and some Yemeni/Middle Eastern desserts (Basbousa, Sabaya, etc.). Some of the pastries had labels, some did not. And none had prices listed next to them nor on the overhead menu. Just beware because you might get sticker shock as the pastries are a bit pricey. I ended up getting a chocolate dessert that had a Ferrero Rocher candy on top of it and a slice of banana bread. My total with tax and tip was around $25. The chocolate dessert (I don't know the name of it) was so delicious and worth every penny! While it had a Ferrero Rocher candy garnish, it did not taste like one. It was a creamy dark chocolate mousse on top of a vanilla cake sliver, with a chopped hazelnut center, and dipped in dark chocolate. It was rich but not sickeningly sweet, if that makes sense. It's the type of dessert you eat slowly and savor each bite. The banana bread was also very good but clearly overshadowed by the chocolate dessert. It was fresh, moist and had a nice banana flavor. I'm very curious about their other pastries, especially the Yemeni ones. Maybe next time, I'll try their coffee as well.

Coffee was so good I wanted to swim in it. Like a lil hot tub of a high quality brew and spices. And the cake was soooo light we adoreddddd it. Our cashier was so sweet and patient with us. Pookie if you're reading this I appreciate that because we were indecisive for a sec :') Overall atmosphere was like you went on YouTube and searched "relaxing jazz music coffee shop ambience for studying". The music, the subtle sounds of the barista slaying every drink, and the mumble of various conversations was just cozy.

This is a gem of a coffee shop in Astoria! We stumbled upon this during its soft launch period, as one of my friends had to take a video call while we were in Astoria, and we couldn't find a cafe with seating. The cafe has a lovely ambience and clean bathrooms. The seating is surprisingly spacious for a coffee shop and there were some people studying and hanging out. Prices are a bit expensive for coffee and desserts (~$8-9 per drink), but it is specialty coffee and really special! The desserts also looked good, but I didn't try any this time. The service was also friendly. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop for their specialties and ambience!

The baklava is delightful and the adeni chai is full of spice in a good way. There are a lot of seats but I didnt notice any outlets so maybe not the best spot for a wfh kinda day.

This was my second time coming here. I love iced coffee and I always get excited to try new coffee places. However, this place has been a disappointment both times I have visited. I got the iced mufawar the first time I went, but the server was not helpful in helping me decide what would be best for my sweet tooth. I was asking her for recommendations but she just kept telling me everything was good, even if I asked her specifically about the most popular drink recommendations. She also told me anything could be made sweet, so despite asking her to put extra sweetener in my iced coffee, I still found myself adding at least 4 more packets of the dominos sugars from the counter into my drink. Would not recommend the iced mufawar if you have a sweet tooth like me. Also during my first visit, my friend got the iced adeni chai which was definitely better than my drink. It was more on the sweeter side. I think it's because the cold foam helped. I decided to give this place another chance today. During my second visit, I decided to get the iced adeni chai since it was made good for my friend during my first visit. However, not only was it darker and less sweet (despite asking for extra sweetener again) but the barista FORGOT my cold foam, the part that I think makes the drink stand out. I stepped outside of the store and noticed and then had to go back inside and ask for it. I think the drinks truly depend on the barista who makes it, because it was not as good as it was the first time. I also tried the iced moka spice latte which was a bit better than any of the drinks I have tried from here, but still not up to my standards. This place is also very overpriced for the quality of drinks that are made. However, it is spacious, bright, and gives a good vibe. They also have a few seats outdoors if you want to enjoy your drinks while watching the bustling neighborhood of Astoria. Good location with multiple shops and eateries around. However, you could definitely find a better coffee place around town. Overall, I would not go out of my way to go back to this place and would suggest to stick to Qahwah House. They are the OG. I have not come across anyone else who makes Yemeni coffees as delicious as them.

The Maleki is exactly what I was craving. I love the spices used in middle eastern-style coffee. They also have quality Yemen coffee, which is why it's more expensive. I wish the pastries had allergen labels and prices listed. Otherwise a great shop and I'll be back to try more soon!!

A huge coffee shop with speciality coffee and desserts. All these words in one sentence is like music to my ears and make me so happy. :) I don't ever know what the desserts are just by looking at them so I'm happy that the lady who served me yesterday was helpful and patient with me! Not every dessert had a sign so I was unsure of what I was looking at sometimes even though it was pretty and tempting. lol. I love their extensive list of beverages to choose from. It was hard for me to choose what I wanted but I knew I wanted a coffee rather than chai. I ended up getting the Moka Spice Latte, a saffron cake, pistachio croissant, a brownie and cupcake (for daughter who doesn't like Middle Eastern flavored desserts yet - lol), and sabayah. Not going to lie, I spent a lot of money. I spent $60ish for all of that. But I don't get mad because 1.) I love supporting Yemeni biz, 2.) I love supporting Muslim-owned biz, and 3.) I knew I was paying for quality. And quality I received. I loooovveeddd my Moka Spice Latte. Especially the fact that the sides of the glass was painted with honey. I scraped the honey into my latte and it was heaven sent. I loved my pistachio croissant. Whatever cream that is in that croissant is soft like a cloud, not too sweet, and balanced well with the flakiness of the croissant. I'd get it again bc I did have a dream about eating it... sigh. lol. The saffron cake... ummm wasn't what I expected but I really wanted to try it because on the Great British Baking Show, someone is always trying to put saffron in their cake. So I wanted to know! Is it good or what? It's definitely good! But I think that I needed to pair it with chai to experience it better. The brownie and cupcake were apparently really good (I'm going based off her facial expressions lol). The sabayah was absolutely crack. I'm obsessed with sabayah.... I could eat it nonstop, all day, every day. The aesthetics are honestly my favorite thing... something about brown scale is comforting and makes you feel at home. If I had all the time in the world yesterday, I would have stayed longer!!!!! Overall, a coffee shop that I recommend for all that are bougie coffee and desserts girlies like me. There is plenty of space to do your work in the cafe. They also have WiFi for you. Please visit and support a wonderful biz. :)

Newly opened cafe serving authentic Yemeni-style coffee and desserts in a large, beautifully decorated space with plenty of seating. The variety is quite impressive from specialty coffee, tea, and sweets that are (wait for it) not too sweet! As a coffee lover, the highlight for me was definitely the Turkish coffee--suuuper rich, bitter, strong! If only I didnt live 1.5hrs away, this wouldve definitely be one of my go-tos.

Checked out this new cafe on Steinway shortly after it opened. My first impression is that this is an amazingly sized place great for large groups or finding a seat to camp out and work in. I tried the Lotus Cheesecake which was pricy and unfortunately very delicious lol. Do beware that the prices are on the steep side - if you're looking for a cheap cup of Joe you won't find it here!

A little pricey Lovely staff Delicious drinks that were so strong I'm not sure about the cakes and stuff - but we tried this bread today and it was delicious and served warm and drizzled w honey - like knafeh but not really. Don't even know the name but try it

Moka & Co is a brand new Yemeni coffee shop that opened in Astoria Queens. They offer a ton of drinks and delicious pastry options and are open until midnight most nights and 1 AM on weekends! They have plenty of seating too. I went on a Sunday morning and it was super busy, but I was still able to find a seat. The staff is extremely friendly and it's a great spot to catch up with friends or spend the day working. I ordered the iced shai - adeni tea topped with cold foam moka spice latte - this drink tasted really good. It had a nice spiced flavor and was strong! strawberry tart - the strawberries on this were really juicy and the crust was perfect bee bites - this was a pastry which had an airy and light consistency and was drizzled with honey chicken pastry puff (not featured) - the pastry was perfectly flakey and it had plenty of chicken in it Follow me on instagram @angies_foodie_adventures for more!

This is my favorite coffee and pastry shop ever! I'm from Boston and this is usually my first and last stop when I go for delicious coffee and desserts. It is so clean and beautiful inside. The staff is so friendly too! They went above and beyond in helping me. I wanted to take home coffee to make at home because we don't have anything similar in Boston and Israa wrote the whole coffee recipe down for me step by step. I'm waiting for my coffee to finish so I have an excuse to come back and buy more again! Thank you guys again!

Highly recommended place. They have the best Moka latte I've ever had. Every time i pass by there place and smell the coffee i feel like I want to get inside and buy it . It's worth the try the place is also very clean the service is very good and it has an amazing atmosphere if you want to hang out with friends or family.

I was there yesterday, Mafa she was amazing she made me the most amazing Turkish coffee I was so happy thank you so much! Definitely going back the service and the atmosphere is fantastic !!

The ambiance is good. I was slightly shocked by the price. I ordered a Kunafa Chocolate croissant and had to repeat it to the cashier several times (was I pronouncing it wrong?). Then I ordered a Pistachio Oat Latte. The total waa $20 for both. I left my name but called me another name so I didn't get my order until the barista said what the drink was. The coffee was really good. Unfortunately I didn't get the correct croissant, I got the Pistachio instead of the Kunafa Chocolate which was disappointing. I even checked it before leaving and saw it had a green stripe. Both pastries look very similar (with green stripes on the croissant). But shouldn't the cashier check it before handing it to me? Not sure I'll come back here, there's other coffee shops that are more into detail and cheaper on the wallet and tasty.

Very interesting flavors, helpful and friendly staff, and really nicely designed shop.

This place is overpriced and not worth your money. I ordered a Spanish latte, which costed $10 for a 16 oz size--more than what I pay at Starbucks. What was even more disappointing was that it looked like a cup of milk with a drizzle of condensed milk and had no signs of espresso. Unclear if it was supposed to come out looking like that or if the barista forgot to add it...

I come here for my study dates since I started boycotting Starbucks. The vibe is amazing, the workers and owner are so so nice and welcoming, the coffee tastes delicious and is affordable. And in a recent protest for Palestine I saw the owner giving out free coffee/tea to all the people passing by which I thought was very generous and nice of him to do. I definitely recommend coming here!

I just had the worst almond croissant at Moka & Co. And it ruined my whole experience/mood! At 9 in the morning you would expect the pastries to be flaky, fresh, buttery. Ohh no. It was like a warmed up frozen Entamann's pastry... waste of money and calories. The wifi sucks. It's there, but it's weak. There is plenty of seating but beware that outlets only appear to be in the front near the door. The same door the employees decided to keep open on a chilly day. The tables are awkwardly arranged uncomfortably close to each other. The latte was good, I suppose. But was it anything you couldn't find at the 50 nearby coffee places? No. Also, they bring you your order but then I noticed plates and cups left behind were never bussed away. Which one is it? Are you self-service or are your employees doing the bussing? I do want to try the other pastries and hopefully they are worth the price. Oh and the Spanish Latte was not available for some reason?

I got the large iced shai and enjoyed it! It was a bit sour which I didn't expect. It came to a total of almost $9 which is pretty crazy for a drink.. I would come back to try their lattes and desserts since the ambiance is super nice with plenty of seating.

Their lattes are good I would recommend the white mocha or salted caramel latte however that's all that was it was good for. They did not have prices for the cheese and milk cakes or any of their sweets so it was quite a shocker to see the total. It was way too much for a slice of cake. I was confused as to why they charged it so high. This is definitely a grab some coffee and go place. The interior was nice, lots of seating.

Worst matcha latte I've ever had in my life. I was scammed $10 for something completely un-drinkable, I took one sip and immediately threw it in the trash. Nauseous thinking about it, absolutely disgusting. If I could rate negative stars I would. Save your money and mood.

Service was wonderful, the location is very spacious and clean. But the prices for the quality of food was way too over the top. My dough was raw, my husband's juice was super sweet, he couldn't even finish it, and my tea did not have the authentic aromatic flavor.

Such a great coffee place in Astoria! Came here with a friend and had really incredible pastries! The service is great and they bring the food right to you. There is plenty of seating to come with a larger group or if you need a place to work. High recommend!

Clean and cozy Yemen cafe . The delights are delicious and the coffee/teas are delicious . I particularly loved the Turkish coffee china . The manager Mike is attentive and friendly . Highly recommend!

The KINDEST and BEST customer service EVER. When I ordered wrong was given a substitute without even asking. Everyone was so helpful with questions. The ambiance is gorgeous. The winner is the coffee! I had the maleki and it is so so delicious! I'm sad that I don't live closer because now all other coffee is going to taste like dirty coffee bean water in comparison. I will for sure stop by everytime I'm in Queens! Thank you for the best coffee and service ever!

All the pastries were delicious! For the drinks we got the caramel macchiatos and pistachio lattes and they were very good. The service was fast and the inside of this place was also very cute.

I've been here twice and both times were a disappointment. First thing, the decor and the vibe is amazing. But I don't know if it's because both times I went in the morning (around 9AM) but the baked goods are just not fresh. I feel like I can get fresher goods at Costco. And the drinks are OK, doesn't justify the night price point. I got the mafawaar and maybe it's supposed to taste that way, but it felt very watered down

This Muslim owned business is definitely of my Favorite go to spots for coffee. The pistachio iced latte is my fave!!!

Visited this spot over the weekend and was highly pleased. I had the Moka Spiced Latte and my husband had the Turkish coffee. I also had the chocolate lobster tail and took two Reese's cupcakes to go for my sons. We really enjoyed the coffee and the overall ambiance of the place. Service wasn't bad considering that it was only two of them and there was a little bit of a line. We loved the decor and the ample seating. Will definitely be going back!

Drinks are good but it's ridiculously expensive. Unfortunately will not be back. Customer service is nice however.

I tried a few coffees and matcha tea (w/o milk) here and they were all amazing! Baristas are very knowledgeable and welcoming. This is a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee inside and have a conversation (despite the abundance of coffee places in NYC they are not always welcoming or comfortable to stay). Can't wait to come back and share this spot with coffee lovers! Note for my vegan friends - no vegan desserts at this time, they do have cliff bars if you need a snack!

It is very expensive for the quality and no price is shown in the menu speccily when i order 2 almond croissants and came out $20 total was literally shocking and awkward. It took more than 15 minutes for the drinks to come, and after we almost finished the drinks,the pastries arrived.
