The 14 Best Restaurants In Tottenham

"Moko is an African-Caribbean music bar that can take you from 10am email to 1am dance party with an effortless shrug. During the day, there’s dependable wifi, hefty plantain-filled sandwiches, and the ‘70s listening lounge look serves as the perfect background for Zoom calls. Come evening, there are solid stomach-liners in the form of extra-cheesy mac and cheese and vegan takes on soul food classics—best consumed alongside their excellent banana mai tais. The stacked records, solid oak DJ booth, and hi-fi system also makes it the perfect spot for a date with anyone who believes discussing Grandmaster Flash is the ultimate form of flirtation." - heidi lauth beasley

The Most Fun Dinner Spots In London

"If your idea of fun is being soothed by extra cheesy mac and cheese and several banana mai tais before dancing until the early hours—you’re going to love this African-Caribbean music bar and restaurant in Tottenham. The bar’s hi-fi system—centred around a curved, solid oak DJ booth, stacked with thousands of records, and suspended from the ceiling—provides the soundtrack to laid-back nights that eventually turn into full-on dance parties. The sweet spot to arrive is 11pm if you’re here to dance—plates and tables have been cleared away and everything is bathed in a pink neon glow. " - jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

London's Best Festival-Feeling Restaurants

"Moko’s sound system—centred around a curved oak DJ booth, stacked with thousands of records, and suspended from the ceiling—provides the soundtrack to laid-back Tottenham nights that eventually turn into full-on sweat boxes. The African-Caribbean music bar and restaurant is all low-level lighting, extra-cheesy mac and cheese, banana mai tais, and bumping afro beats." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna

Where To Go When You Want To Dance But Hate Clubs

"Moko is for those who prefer the odd vintage rug, Scandi-chic hi-fi systems, and sandwiches—cornmeal-fried oyster mushrooms in a soft, sweet bun—to get them in the mood for dancing. Early evenings tend to be more like chilled-out listening parties, where records are plucked from statement tote bags and nodded along to. But later on tables are cleared, bodies are packed in, and the real dancing starts. The focal point at this African-Caribbean music bar and restaurant in Tottenham is always the curved, solid oak DJ booth that’s stacked with thousands of records and suspended from the ceiling. " - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager

Grateful I finally had the chance to eat here after lusting after the menu for so long! Felt truly nourished and comforted. Like I’d been given a warm hug. I’m a vegan mac n cheese fiend and it was the best I’ve ever had. Everything was beautifully seasoned. I can’t wait to come back and try more

The best (vegan) food I have ever had. Prices are very reasonable and portions are big. Soul food at its finest!! Atmosphere and music are equally amazing. So happy to have this gem in our neighborhood ❤️

An absolutely perfect place if you like music & drinks, intimate with spot on design and insane listening experience. We had tasty drinks & food and were able to chat without screaming over the music. We booked at 9.30 and kitchen closes at 10. the staff was sweet and helpful and DJ shared some of his digs very kindly when I asked. The sound system is designed by London Based Friendly Pressure and it’s heavenly, and the night transitioned slowly into a more dancy mood around 11.30. It is located about 10 min walk from the seven sisters tube station

This local bar seems to be only open Friday and Saturday nights these days. The sound system is worth a visit alone.

Perfect place for a birthday, boogie and banging food. Food: unreal, the gluten-free and vegan (🤯) cornbread was a winner. Cost is around 20 without drinks. Service: brilliant. the manager was so helpful and the wider team, Daniel in particular, were very hospitable. Atmosphere: it's a lovely place to be. It transforms into a bar after the food's been served and the room is full of nice people and DJs.

I cannot stop thinking about this place. Went for an early dinner after seeing the Sister Woman menu on Twitter, and while the menu alone made me dribble the food was somehow even better than expected. Absolutely beautiful, flavoursome but perfectly balanced dishes that leave you feeling so well fed and happy. Woke up this morning craving the cheesy grits with jerk mushrooms! The venue is really cool too; good music being played on a good sound system, the staff are SO nice, and it’s just a generally nice setting. Can’t wait to go back, which will definitely be very soon

Super cute place. Will definitely come back here again. Food is also nice - I did find the sweet potato salad a bit dry would have been nice with a dressing. But other than that, cocktails & food very nice. People serving also super nice. Cute vibe & interior and I love that it’s local! Tottenham needs more places like this..! Also the dessert and the rude boy sandwich is TO DIE FOR!!

Vegetarian option pretty average. The corn was fantastic and tasty jerk fries. Pretty slow to get served at the bar. Weird vibe where we would interrupted to make way for a gig. I guess part of the restaurant but a warning for those coming in a group when the conversation might go a like longer.
