MOKSHA - (Authentic Indian Restaurant & Bar)

Lovely lunch experience! My husband and I visited on Tuesday lunchtime and were really impressed. We ordered the mixed grill and chicken tikka both were absolutely fantastic, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. We arrived a few minutes before opening, and the owner/manager was incredibly friendly and apologised for the short wait. To our surprise, he even offered us a free starter, which was such a kind gesture. The service throughout was warm and we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back!

We came here for the first time today and were really impressed! Sanjay and his team were really welcoming, and importantly food was amazing. The avocado chaat and the lamb shank and Kerala lamb curry leaf curry leaf were divine. We will be back!

Moksha in New Malden is one of those places that just feels right the moment you step in. It’s warm, welcoming, and has that homely atmosphere you can’t fake. The space is bright, clean, and inviting, with gentle Indian music in the background that instantly makes you feel like you’ve been transported somewhere safe and familia like walking through the warm streets of India on a calm evening. The food here is something special. It’s authentic the kind of cooking that takes me straight back to my childhood. Having grown up in an Indian household, I know the difference, and this is the real thing. No overly sweet sauces or shortcuts, just beautifully balanced flavours that taste like home. Every visit has been better than the last, which is saying something because my first meal here already had me hooked. It’s lovely to see so many local faces filling the restaurant, you can tell from the smiles and the conversations that it never disappoints. The prices are very fair for the quality, and the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed. Even the little details, like spotless amenities, show the care they put into everything. For me, Moksha is more than just a restaurant, it’s a place I can go with my partner when I want comfort, connection, and food made with heart. A well-earned five stars.

I took my dad here on Sunday and to say we were impressed would be an understatement. The staff were very welcoming and professional , shout out to Sanjay who served us and was wonderful ! The food was delicious and came out perfectly timed . I’ve never had better Indian food anywhere and my dad said it’s one of the best meals he’s had in his life ! Furthermore the price was incredibly reasonable especially for the excellent quality which is difficult to find in this day and age . We will both be returning and recommending it . Thank you to the whole team :)

Absolutely delicious! The food is authentic and full of traditional flavours. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. The staff are kind and welcoming however service was slightly slow at busy times. A true hidden gem for anyone who loves real Indian food!

Great food and very reasonable prices. I last went about 2 years ago, but they have had a makeover which has improved things. Very impressed with the starters and the lamb shank was good. We went at 7 on Friday and it was quiet but it got pretty busy by the time we left. I would definitely order takeaway from here too. We parked opposite at Aldi (2 hours), but popped in to buy something to make sure they didn’t fine us!

There are many Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants in and around London, many of which serve a British style of ‘spicy’ food which many Indians or Bangladeshis don’t recognise. Moksha is a standout eaterie. The food is really tasty and this is evidence of a professional chef who cares about the food they present to their customers. From mild to very spicy - all of the food we tried was fresh, delicious and well portioned. Service was attentive and friendly. The owner is very aware of what is happening across his restaurant and speaks to every single customer. He pleasantly seeks real time and post meal feedback which left us with a sense of being valued. Pricing is competitive and tables are sensibly placed. This has become a regular ‘go to’ destination. It’s a pity we live just a little too far away to have food delivered.
