I recently started working up on Capitol Hill. There are not a whole lot of places to eat near my work, which sucks because 1.) It's always fun to go out to lunch & 2.) Not a lot of Happy Hour choices! After several weeks of frozen Lean Cuisines (terrible, I know), I finally decided to try somewhere new. Boy, am I glad that I did!
Moli Bento is a small place, but there are tables in there so you can dine in, if you'd like. I got my food to go though. I decided to order the Super Combination. You can order it with chicken or beef. I ordered it with chicken, with the sauce on the side. (I prefer the sauce on the side so I can dip the chicken, vs having it swimming around in the sauce.) The Super Combo comes with salad (dressing on the side - nice), 2 deep fried pot stickers, a spring roll, your choice of chicken or beef as mentioned before, and (as usual with Teriyaki places) way too much rice.
The salad was nice & crisp. The lettuce was green, not brown. (Thank goodness!) The pot stickers were good (But, how can they NOT be if they're deep fried? It's pretty hard to mess up anything deep fried - for real.) The spring roll was equally good. But, the best part was the chicken. For not having any sauce on it, it was SO delicious. It was so flavorful & I almost enjoyed it more without dipping it in the sauce. The sauce was pretty good, and of course tasted better with some siracha - on the side.
If you're ever up on the Hill near Moli Bento, walking by & contemplating if you should try it, I say do it! You won't be disappointed!
