"Molly Flavin knew she wanted to be a florist when she got her first job: sweeping stalks, petals, and leaves off the floor of a Chicago flower shop. For twenty years Flavin remained (mostly) under the radar, working via word of mouth. But demand for the florist’s classic, sophisticated arrangements grew, and by 2016, she needed a store. I walked in on a beautiful saturday with my friend looking buy some vases and roses. The store is beautiful, but the woman was so incredibly rude. I felt like julia roberts in pretty woman. She literally told us to go to jewel. I was so insulted. I'm new to the area and I will never recommend this place to anyone. If anyone recommends it to me, I will share this story. That's not how you do business. Shame on you.

As a 17 yr resident of Lake Forest I knew that the town was not very diverse however, I never thought that a store could be SO RACIST. I was not impressed by the way the staff responded to a recent purchase that not only was not prepared in advance as requested, but also not what I had ordered. Don't even bother trying to talk to MOLLY the owner as she is not very receptive to any discussion or feedback and plain out LIED about the order that was placed. How can the customer be wrong? I would have loved to see a nice floral shop in Lake Forest however, as you can see by the other YELP reviews this one is not worth your time or money. Go Elsewhere

My friend and I walked into this store and we were completely ignored. The 2 sales persons saw us, both nice women, who could obviously afford their store. The didn't look or speak to us. Anti Semitic? It was obvious. It was so blatant and offensive. Shame on them.

I was recommended this flower store for homecoming. Came in to order a coronation. Service was really nice and liked the lady who took my order. Was worried about the security because they wrote down all my credit card details on a ordering sheet but didn't seem to have a safe way of store credit cards. Oh well, my friend recommended the store. My husband picked up the coronation and of course it was the wrong color! Had to call and the young girl then they just said must be a mix up. Would have thought they checked the order sheet when my husband picked it up. There was no apology or sorry. We could come and exchange it. I told them we would be there right away. When we got back to the store it was still not ready and we had to wait while they were making a new one. Got the new coronation. Again NO apology. Almost like it was ourselves who caused the problem. The coronation turns out to have cost more than most of my sons friends and it was the smallest one. Actually it was so small that it was embarrassing. one bracelet with 2 small flowers! Really you charge $50+ for that?? My sons date looked really disappointed and it is the only coronation that you actually cannot see on photos! They never gave me a receipt so I actually do not know what they charged us. I know it was a poor excuse for a coronation and that they totally overcharged us no matter what they ended up charging. The buttonaire was dead before the evening started! On top running a business and not giving the customer what they ordered for such an important day is just not professional. And at least they should have apologized and tried to make it good It was a stressful enough day as is.... The store looks great but they have to opt their game. This is not cool. Imagine if they were making your wedding or delivered sunflowers for a funeral?

Received a very large orchid plant as a gift from here which, given their prices, I am sure was very expensive. It died within 3 days of delivery. I have orchids all over my house so I know how to care for these. I called and spoke with the owner and was told it was my fault, that I must have left it on a heating source (I didn't) and they do not guarantee anything after it leaves the store. Incredibly disappointing as I would have loved to support a local, woman-owned business.

Highly recommend this florist. Very high end flowers and gift items. Yes prices are higher but the quality and creativity is worth the price. Every arrangement I have received is beyond my expectations and I recommend them to everybody who needs a beautiful floral arrangement!

AVOID THIS FLORIST! If I could leave zero stars I would. I wanted to send my Mom flowers for her 82nd birthday. I decided to give this florist a try because they were near my Mom, what a mistake. Before deciding to use them, my wife texted them a photo of a bouquet showing the colors and style we would like to make sure they could replicate it. They assured us they could and we proceeded. My wife asked them to text a photo of the finished bouquet before delivering and we are glad they did because it looked nothing like the bouquet we agreed upon. Their explanation was that they didn't have the colors in this week for what we were looking for. When I asked why did they say they could do it when I had initially called because I would have bought them elsewhere, her response was "I guess we are not the florist for you" and hung up the phone. It's unfortunate because we depended on them to deliver flowers on this special occasion and they ruined it and were unbelievably rude. I have called the Better Business Bureau and will try to let everyone and anyone know what a terrible business they are. Rotten people.
