Google
JENNA - Thanks for the incredible service. We Love Molly's and make it a daily stop when drinking our way around the Quarter. Tell the building owners to buy you a new jukebox :-D

Rob Peters

Google
Great local bar with a friendly barman who has been working in this bar for ages. Drinks are reasonable prices compared to other bars and not so busy as in others. This is the bar where you go to just have a drink, chat or play pool!

Cory D. D. Miller

Google
Mollys was a nice pit stop but it is truly a dive bar. I feel like the beer lines needed to be clean badly. Ordered a Guinness and came in a plastic cup which is never a good sign for an Irish spot. I gave it 4 stars because the bartender was extremely nice and funny.

Louis and Elaine

Google
A classic French Quarter dive bar, in a very good way. Inexpensive cocktails, with a generous pour. Always a cool spot made so much better now that Claire (formally with Clair’s Pour House) is sometimes behind the bar. Give it a try for a special spot.

Google
We came here to the "wrong" Molly's, having thought we'd made it to the other one. But we were really glad we stayed because the female bar tender was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations. Thanks so much! Jamie and Jenny x

Google
Definitely a five star visit, good drinks great price, pool table worked, Jukebox was going. They have a couple slot machines in the back. Awesome time! Thanks Isa

Google
I went there around my birthday in January and loved it at first , but then the bartender was very rude and pushy , later that night I was assaulted by the same guy because I stood up for my wife when another patron harrased her , then before I know I'm in a head lock from the bartender for standing up to this patron , I hope actions were taken against this bar tender since I made a post a year ago about it but think he's still there hewas 6'4 had a pink Mohawk and dressed like a hipster wanna be , hopefully the owner sees this

Google
We love Molly's! Great atmosphere close to Bourbon but feels like a world away. We've stopped in every time we are in the city. The owner is a great guy to chat with if you get the chance to meet him!

Yelp
Spike is such a friendly bartender. He made a special drink for my friend called a Beverly. We came back an hour later and he remembered how to make it

Yelp
The frozen Irish coffee here is as famous as "café du Monde" . Everyone recommended this and it's a must try! What amazing treat!

Yelp
Came in for a quick togo beer and was completely captivated by the bartender! She had these little dinosaurs on the bar and was so entertaining we ended up spending our whole night there. Seems like a locals spot and we were glad we were so welcomed as some of the other similar bars in our trip so far have not been a fan of tourists. Very much recommend with reasonable prices and Eleanor your server! Only quip being the jukebox is very old and not particularly user friendly.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to get off bourbon street and go to an Irish pub. Google led me straight to Molly's Irish pub. However, Yelp had listed it as being closed. Boo! Luckily google was right. I let the staff know about Yelp and they got it corrected. This is your typical dive bar as it's dark inside. There is cheap booze and magners on tap!! They have a pool table , TVs, and a few video games in the back. Overall a great place to enjoy drinks and relax.

Brian B.

Yelp
I ordered a whiskey and Lowe stared into soul. Like reading tea leaves she suggested an Irish Car Bomb a d I was immediately smitten. Can I give her 6 stars because that should be a thing. I left the bar thinking that she gets me and there should be a desert island somewhere for us but I know better.Maybe there's an island for you.

Yelp
Let me just say, one of the main reasons I went here is very obvious LOL. When you see a pub that adorns your first name, you go. I was super jazzed when my boyfriend pointed this place out, because Irish Pubs have a certain quaint charm about them that I really enjoy! Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised with the chill vibe this place has -- it's very low key, relaxed and not super crowded. It's definitely less of a party bar and more of a local hang-out spot. Naturally, we both ordered a couple of Guinness beers and sat by the large fan they had blowing in the corner (refreshing). Too add a little touch of retro, they have a neat jukebox in the corner. Only thing is that they don't have locking bathrooms, although they did place signs on the doors that say "please knock" -- I could see this being an issue on a busy night as some people might be a little too tipsy to remember (or even read) the sign. Other than that, great bar and great service. I would definitely come back next time I'm around.

Yelp
Great time wish we had more time to spend here. We stopped in for our last drink of the night. I ordered a car bomb and he ordered a grasshopper. Bartender was cool and accommodating and made great drinks. The have a pool table It's a great little Irish pub!
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
What was advertised. Guinness yeah, plastic cup was looking for Classen Irish. This does not fit the bill.
google avatar

JP H.

Yelp
Great! They have a 50 cent pool table! Cheap beer, great service! Bartenders are friendly!

Debra O.

Yelp
Visit mollys Irish pub Jamie is the best of the best!!!! She is bubbly and keeps the drinks coming! We all had a great time there because of her!

Yelp
Great service, quiet, cool, and has great spiked watermelon lemonade. We've come back 2 days in a row before leaving the city.
google avatar

Yelp
A great stop in The French Quarter. It's a little more low key then most of places on Bourbon St and is just a great dive atmosphere. Stop in every time I'm in New Orleans and am never disappointed
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service! The most fantastic frozen Irish coffee you will ever have..so I had two! Don't forget to ask for an extra shot of Jamestown coffee liquor to add to your coffee to enhance the flavor.

Colton G.

Yelp
I've been coming to this bar for ... 7 years. That's the number I'm giving. It's between me and you, don't be a snitch. Everything about this place I love. The frozen irish coffee, the way american spirits flow through my lungs on the back patio, the way the urinal cake feels on my hand as I caress it while I potty. The price is right. The food I have not had. The atmosphere, and most importantly, the people - are 10/10. Now, you are probably thinking "Wow, this is a great bar! Sounds like I need to check it out". Shut up. You know nothing, swine. You simply play with your toys while looking at me, a Comicon Gypsy - wishing you could be like this. I bet you would LOVE to know the best part of this bar, wouldn't you? It is Corey. Corey the immersion nerd. Corey. Corey the cocktail soothsayer. Corey. Corey the promise-keeper. Corey makes this bar what it is. Sincerely, The Gif Princess Fan of all things Disney.

Yelp
As much as I hate doing negative reviews, I feel the need to just complain about this. So, me and 6 friends walked into here, place was completely empty. From the minute we walked in, the blond bartender was just being the biggest B I have ever met. I have absolutely no idea why she took offense to us as we just ordered our drinks, one guy ordered a half & half...as its an Irish pub, to which she got pissed he didnt order it as a Black and Tan. Next thing, she got pissed because our pregnant friend didnt want to order anything, next, I was standing in the wrong spot...The Bartender has some serious issues..Next she's screaming at us that she's made a lot of money tonight and didn't need our business. Then we were somehow deemed racist and told that we don't respect the culture of New Orleans. I can only hope She's the reason the bar is temporarily closed, as several guys in the group were 20 year regulars who have vowed to never return.

Yelp
Want some cheap, strong drinks in a classic Irish pub? Come to Molly's and fill up before hitting the town! Play a game of pool or watch the game while you "fuel up" and enjoy the classic pub vibe.
google avatar

Mark N.

Yelp
Great dive bar away from the action in the quarter or canal st. Mostly locals. Good place to have a more calm beer drinking experience before heading back into the general insanity that is mardi gras.

Lala L.

Yelp
Ok so we are on our last day in New Orleans and we wanted to have a chilled last night and play some pool. When I walked in initially everything was fine, however when I proceeded to order drinks and tell the bartender that my wife was outside smoking so it will be a minute immediately she was basically trying to convince us to go to another bar. It was very uncomfortable it felt very unsafe. It was very apparent that she didn't want no gay people in the bar. We just wanted to pay a few games of pool and then leave but the whole vibe was off. I'm a bartender we are suppose to make our guest comfortable and that's the opposite what she made us feel. So horrible !! If you not LGBTQ friendly just say that !!!

William H.

Yelp
Cool bar; however, getting rid of the jukebox and the corresponding silences that come as a result of its inactivity would do wonders.
google avatar

Tim O.

Yelp
Dive bar; great for organizing a crew in close proximity to Bourbon Street. The bartender was kind of rude both nights I visited but half-assed an apology when I accrued a large tab on the second night (which is quite hard to do).

Sean D.

Yelp
Jamie is an awesome bartender. Great stories about New Orleans and her travels in general. Met some very interesting people in here during my few hours sitting at the bar. Very welcoming environment and would come back again during my next New Orleans visit
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Molly's has the most delicious frozen coffee drink I've ever had. I would drink this every day. The bartender was engaging and attentive. The bar was clean. I will visit Molly's every time I come to NOLA.
google avatar

Rufio V.

Yelp
Michelle was an awesome bartender and took care of my partner when I was getting my cards read at glass magic.
google avatar

Justin K.

Yelp
Popped in for a drink after seeing their sidewalk sign boasting a Butterscotch Old Fashioned. I'm from Ky so I had to. Fun little New Orleans honky tonk. Jukebox never stops. Pool table is open. I'm terrible. But the Old Fashioned was great. $10 and a cool spot to rest a bit.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
One of my favorite pubs in the Quarter. Smart bartenders, normal people. A good break from the craziness of Bourbon Street
google avatar

Beth R.

Yelp
Love this place! Was just there 6/18/2021-6/20/2021! It's off a side street on bourbon! Nice place to stop and grab a beer ($4). They will even give you a to-go cup. Some bars on bourbon are $10 for a beer so this is a huge win!!! Women's bathroom is fairly clean for such a high traffic area. I seen the bartender check in it 2X one night to ensure it was clean! It's a great pre-game spot or if you just need a break from bourbon ! They also have a pool table. Very chill place !

Michael L.

Yelp
Isha is a great bartender, maybe the best in New Orleans. Great drinks and atmosphere
google avatar

Desirae K.

Yelp
Love to love Molly's on Toulouse. BTW, This is not a "restaurant" unless you consider snack-size bags of Funyuns and Cheez-It's restaurant food. It is however, a great little Irish dive oasis right off Bourbon with $5.50 carbombs and cheap drinks. Great place if you want to hang with some locals, awesome real bartenders and get away from Bourbon Street experience. Love the big open windows. Makes you feel better about sitting in a dark bar on a sunny day! If your idea of a good time is hand-grenades, jello shots, Top 40 music or fruity frozen drinks, this is not your place.
google avatar

Nikki L.

Yelp
Jenna is the best bartender! I love this bar, good drinks, great juke box! Again, Jenna rocks! I love this place!
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
I have great memories ducking into this place with friends after a pouring rain that involves snakes, Irish car bombs and the Big Lebowski. The environment is dark and moody. Many locals come here and you will enjoy that fact alone before you even order a drink. You will also enjoy the Irish punk metal blaring from the jukebox. Or the odd variety showing in the television set. This place is a Must when visiting the Bourbon street area.
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
Good local dive with a pool table. Good service. $6 pints is a bit pricy, but it is just off Bourbon Street. It's dark, cool, and spacious inside.
google avatar

Nickie G.

Yelp
This place has become one of my stops while in NOLA lately. Why? It's divey, with seats at the bar, some tables in front of the window, and a pool table. Usually not packed, at least when I have been there. Thus, I can sidle up to the bar, sit down, and get a drink while resting outside of all the chaos that is Bourbon. It's always been excellent service when I am there anyway. The bartender lasses are friendly but also aren't going to take any shit off anyone either. WOOHOO! I love a more laid-back jam sometimes and Molly's has it (sometimes)!

Yelp
This is what I call the "other Molly's", not because it's inferior, but because I am more familiar with the one by the French Market and started going to that one first. Product: Drinks, drinks, and more drinks! They have the same magical frozen Irish coffee as the other location (in fact, I'm pretty sure all of the Moynihan chain has them), so it's a done deal if I'm walking in this place. There are large and small, and both priced at a good value. The other drinks in the place won't burn a hole in your pocket, either. I know the other Molly's has a food counter, but I'm not sure on at this one. 4 stars Service: Friendly service, but nothing outstanding. 3 stars Facilities: Yet another dive to add to your list if that's your thing. Like most places in the FQ, downstairs is the business, upstairs is either storage or apartments. The structure is likely 200 years old, or thereabouts, so, yes, it has a rather "tired" look to it. But, hey, this is a dive, what did you expect? Street parking where you can find it, and bike racks are mysteriously rare in this neighborhood, which makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever (no the business' fault, of course, but noting). There are stools at the bar, and a coin-op pool table. Bathrooms are a little rough. 2 stars Overall: Definitely add this to your dive bar list. It is worth stopping at, as the crowds are less dense than other bars, and you *really should* try that frozen Irish coffee sometime. 3 stars

Yelp
Awesome chill quiet place amidst the craziness of NOLA to get some beer and play pool.
google avatar

Elisabeth H.

Yelp
First off let me say that I love Irish Pubs. Molly's doesn't have a very "Irish pub" feel but it is a pretty good little dive bar right off of Bourbon. We enjoyed a few drinks there the morning of our return flight home. The bar was mostly empty while we were there but that actually made the experience enjoyable. The drink prices were reasonable and the beer selection good. It was nice and cool inside and the bar had a decent jukebox. We frequent NOLA often and I'm sure we be back in Molly's Iris Pub.
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE the live band! That was my favorite part. They sounded amazing! They were playing old school music like the Temptations! The interior was a bunch of small tables (approximately 4-5) with stools. It's small but it wasn't crowded which was nice. Entry was also free when we went on a Thursday night. We got some tube shots for $3 but they were really weak. To be honest I think it was just straight up Gatorade. So don't buy it! Waste of $!! We were better off going to the bar to buy ANY shot we wanted for $4.

Thor B.

Yelp
Cool place, but they should consider getting a lock for the bathroom. It would cost like $2.
google avatar

Cristina M.

Yelp
Really dig the atmosphere, came by at midnight on a Tuesday and the bartender rocks. Suggested some Irish car bombs, and it was exactly what we needed to keep the night going. Definitely going to come back to Molly's next time we're in town! P.S. Bartender has a great taste in music too!
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
A friend and I went into Mollys yesterday and the bartender couldn't have been any more rude. She just couldn't be bothered with a simple question about drinks/specials. Young brunette with tattoos, extremely rude so we just got up and left. There's no way she'd ever get our business (not like she cares about anything anyway though) I'm just writing this review because it really pissed us off that she was this way for no reason at all. I hope her manager sees this.
google avatar

Jeannie P.

Yelp
We slipped into this place on Friday around 5ish during FQ Fest. Needed a bathroom and it looked like the perfect place to have a beer and chill away from the crowds. We sat there by the window for a long time. Drinking a glass of Abita and talking. I really like this place. We went back last Saturday while just walking around the FQ. Again, quiet but not too quiet. Chatty locals and non locals. We sat by the opened window again and people watched, drank and talked. There's a jukebox with Acid Bath as an option.... talk about blast from the past! There's also a pool table. Ladies, the bathroom is small but clean. No hooks for a purse (I'm on a mission to change this).
google avatar

Lindsay J.

Yelp
This is most definitely NOT Molly's at the Market, which is over-hyped in my opinion. It's also not a restaurant, but instead a relaxed, well-stocked tiny sports bar/Irish pub with one pool table that we frequented almost every day during a week-long stay in New Orleans. The best part about this hidden gem? A bartendress called Jaye. She was sweet, remembered our names, and since we'd been stopping by all week, she pointed us out and served us first on New Years Eve, when trying to get a drink can be a real hassle.
google avatar

Jerry C.

Yelp
Our experience in New Orleans was that the Irish pubs on the French Quarter tend to be havens for real people. We found Molly's to be one of the best.We were steered here by the bartender at another place who indicated that, late in the evening, this is a place where people in the food industry hang out after hours. The place is punky Irish with metal music blaring from the jukebox. In contrast, the tv over the bar was tuned to an old black and white movie on TMC. I love that. Molly's is a great pub with friendly staff and awesome Irish Car Bombs. Stop in to get away from the tourists and meet some cool people!

Marina D.

Yelp
Came to NOLA for the weekend and decided to go to the Dungeon (NEXT DOOR) with a group of friends. It seemed closed so we decided to ask one of the employee's in the next door bar (Molly's Irish Pub) if they knew if the dungeon was closed or not. An employee with a gray beard began by asking us where we were from and that we should of stayed home because we were ruining his income by coming to his city and "spreading the virus" (mind you, we as a group we're all wearing masks and he was not distancing himself and not wearing a mask and smoking a cigarette). He kept on insulting us and saying unnecessary comments to the point where the group decided to just leave because of such a hasty environment.
google avatar

Shure M.

Yelp
Nice little pub in the heart of The Big Easy. When your Irish and you need a touch of home. JJ, Tillie and Red Breast are all waiting for you here. Strait across from B.B. kings. So stop in lads...
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
"I'll have to close your tab, it's 6AM" Yes, those are the words I heard on my first visit to Molly's! This place is a perfect dive bar, dark, cool music on the jukebox, a pool table, TCM on the TV and when I was there, the Christmas tree, decorated with Mardi Gras lights was still up. Nice to find a local hangout and the vibe was ultra relaxed. I don't really know if many tourists stumble in here or not, but this place reminded me of my own local dives back home. A definite must, if you're looking for a reasonably priced drink in a non Bourbon Street type of atmosphere.
google avatar

Chrisa H.

Yelp
Molly's on Toulouse is a quaint little pub amidst the pulsing dance music and frozen daquiri machines that make up the bulk of Bourbon Street. Most definitely a bar for locals more so than tourists, we were welcomed and felt at home enough to come back two nights in a row. If you're a grown up, this is a bar for you. By the way - it is NOT a restaurant. No food.
google avatar

Brian N.

Yelp
Thank you for restoring my faith in booze after a bloody mary from hell. Cheers. Cannot be happy with that frozen Irish coffee
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Best. Jukebox. Ever. It ranges from GG Allin to Pearl Jam to everything else your 90s loving heart desires. Husband and I stumbled across this place our first night in New Orleans for our most recent trip there. It had the same sort of vibe as the bar we frequent with our friends in JP - very laid back, friendly regulars, and super friendly staff. Prices are VERY reasonable, particularly for the area - I felt like we sat there for a few hours, drinking, playing pool, and playing songs on that awesome jukebox, but our tab each time (we went three nights in a row) was never more than $25. Pro tip: they have really tasty jello shots, do yourself a favor and get one.

Yelp
Let me start by saying, excellent divebarrrrrrrrrrr here's why: -good beer selection -locals hanging out with their long hair, barbed wire arm tattoos and missing teeth -heavy metal/hard rock music playing -great bartender -pool table & jukebox
