Molo Sant'Erasmo - Review - Kalsa - Palermo - The Infatuation

"Molo Sant’Erasmo is a great option for a slow Sicilian lunch outdoors by the seaside—you’ll find it in a small fisherman’s harbor at the far end of the Foro Italico waterfront, just past the Botanical Gardens and Villa Giulia park. Start out with the fried baccalà fritters with sea urchin mayo and a plate of the deep-fried butterflied sardines, or go straight for the raw crudi plateaus with a combination of seasonal tartares, red shrimp from Mazara, oysters, fasolaro clams, or langoustines. Then, make your way through their pastas or fish-focused main courses and enjoy the view." - Linda Sarris

Great experience! It was our second time here - we first visited four years ago during the winter. This time, we came without a reservation, but they still found us a lovely table upstairs. The food was amazing, with great recommendations from the waitress. The live music added a perfect touch to the evening. We’re very happy with the whole experience

My partner and I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food exceeded our expectations, with each dish showcasing exceptional flavors and quality ingredients. The clam pasta featured incredibly fresh clams paired with a perfectly balanced sauce, while the shrimp pasta stood out with its rich and flavorful shrimp paste. Complemented by a superb selection of Sicilian wine, our meal was truly memorable. Having visited numerous restaurants, we can confidently say that this was the best so far. Highly recommended.

The view is amazing and the menu has my favorite oysters. Loved the seafood plateau. It's worth working on preparing the asparagus and squid. I would especially mention the swordfish with vegetables and desserts. Very attentive and polite staff. Unfortunately e-cigarettes are allowed, one customer's iqos smelled disgusting and spoiled the experience. I understand that Italy allows smoking e-cigarettes in restaurants, so be prepared.

Cracking food, upstairs the chef is preparing the fish and the kitchen is right there. The waitress we had was boss and very accommodating.

Pleasant setting, attentive staff, although the shellfish platter was not served on crushed ice and lacked freshness. The cooking techniques were well thought out, although too greasy for our liking. NB: The presentation of the lobster carpaccio on the risotto could have been more attractive .Thank you for the pleasant experience still!

I think our experience would have been better if they warned us about the bones in the fish. The food was overpriced. My friend liked the eggplant lasagna. The cannoli was so good. The baked potato was the best thing on the table. They didn’t allow us the window table even though the place was empty. The 1 kg of fish is for 75 euro. They didn’t serve us any appetizers. The manager was nice though, as he generously replaced the octopus with shrimp for us.

A bit off the tourist trail, this place is fabulous for sea views and local seafood. We walked here from the town centre for lunch and a walk on the beach. Prices are a little high, but the food is definitely worth it. The Fritto misto di pesce was fabulous with large pieces of fish and squid. The only weak part here was the prawns that were overcooked. Grilled salmon was probably not local but nicely cooked with potatoes and vegetables.

Our first meal in Palermo after an overnight flight from the USA was at this beautiful waterfront restaurant. The service was great but the pasta was EXCELLENT!!! Excellent menu and mostly locals at this beautiful place. Recommend to all!!
