It's a quaint little inn. Very old, it has been well maintained and is clean. We got a junior suite of some sort, however we noted the set up is actually for a family room, and frankly - a little strange. Due to the age of the place, the bathroom was downstairs while the sleeping area was upstairs. Just noting it here so that it will be expected. Bed was very comfy. The restaurant has great quality food. And if you dont stay there, dining at the restaurant is certainly warranted. Breakfast was left to be desired, as although whatever there was good, we did feel there could have been a little more variety. On one day there were no fruits. Cereal is not available, only one type of cheese, the only hot items are eggs and sausages... Basically, a little more would go a long way. On one day, it was also set up late. The afternoon tea was great! Dinner was good. We had 9 courses. The gap between each course was rather long, so we ended up dining for almost 5 hours. Which, to be honest, was a little much, considering the structure of the meal. There were, at times, more than 20mins between courses. Our server, Matthias, was excellent. He was very attuned to the slighted changes in nuances at our table and anticipated needs fabulously. He also noted that I didnt speak Danish, and always ensured he conversed in English, as well as prepared an English menu for me. Perhaps would not be able to say the same for the gentleman in charge of the particular evening who seemed reluctant to approach when my partner motioned to him. However, that certainly didn't dampen the overall experience, as all the other staff in the evening were exceptionally courteous. Overall, it was good, and service was friendly. But the smalls kinks in each area unfortunately doesnt allow for a full 5 stars. Nevertheless, good experience and will return if in the area. Thank you Matthias and happy first year anniversary with the hotel.

Strandhotellet (The Beach Hotel) is situated on the other side of the road of Molskroen. We stayed for three nights and had a room with a balcony to the seaside. The two separated beds were very comfortable and the bathroom is quite big to danish standards. Breakfast was outstanding: we had to make a reservation for a certain time and breakfast was served by the friendly staff at the table. Absolutely coronasafe. A perfect hotel with a central location if you come for hiking or cycling in and around Mols Bjerge.

What a lovely hotel with a great group of staff! Arrived early and lucky to be able too check in and greeted by Heidi. Really nice hotel and rooms. We had dinner at the brasserie and were spoiled by the waiters. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning one day when in the neighbourhood. You won't leave disappointed from this hotel.

Molskroen has two locations, an older original building and a more modern beach hotel (strandhotel). We had a perfect stay at the latter. Clean comfortable room with a nice view at the sea. Bycicles were free of charge. Breakfast was very good, much choice and fresh cooked. Diner was even better! And very nice and friendly staff.

We, a middle age couple coming from Stockholm (Sweden), spent one night at this really outstanding hotel, the night from 6 August, 2017. After a nice stop with lunch to nearby, picturesque small city Ebeltoft, we arrived Molskroen. ||We’re rather blasé (I believe) when it comes to travelling and hotels, and this hotel really surprised us very much. I e, the style of it and the consistently very high quality of everything. The genuine welcoming from the receptionist was warm and genuine…as it even was from every employee we met.||We had the great pleasure in getting room #104 – a really nice quarterage with a great view overlooking the garden (i e park) and the shoreline. Even the furnishings and the materials used in the room and the luxurious bathroom were of a very high quality. We simply loved it all.||||During the evening we had a great, well tasting dinner at the restaurant Brasseriet (situated in the sister hotel Molskroen Strandhotel - only 200 meters away).||The breakfast next morning was served in the restaurant of Molskroen; in a very nice environment behind large windows with a nice view to the garden. The food served was indeed of very high quality and very tastefully presented (not in an overcrowded manner with a very large number of dishes; however – a rather limited selection of very nice items).||||Before we left Molskroen, we borrowed a couple of bikes and made a really nice, long ride up to and through the “Mols Bjerge” (the Mols “mountains”) where we enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the great view overlooking the sea and many cows. 😊||We had a great stay – and we want to, and will, come back! 😊

We ate at the restaurant for the 3 course with wine pairings this week. The service was friendly, the ambiance perfect, and the food of top quality. I would recommend to eat here without reservation. I have also hosted a large party here with perfect planning, hosting, and dining experience.

We got the message a few days before arrival that it would impossible to sea us in the restaurant. Not a very good start as we had selected the hotel partly fo this reason. Book well ahead if yo are staying here and want any food. There are no realistic alternatives - we ended up in a small local shop buying biscuits and cheese!||||The hotel is OK - the staff seemed a bit to busy to care about two one-nighters while they looked after the party that was filling the restaurant. ||||Room was OK - overlooking the garden. ||||Overall not quite what we were expecting.
