The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the lamb chops broiled. All the food was amazing. I recommend this place.

Went here with my 10-year-old. He thought it is five-star restaurant. He like the bread and the penny vodka. We also loved the chicken marsala. The vegetables had a seasoning and taste. You should come here.

UPDATE: Went for dinner there again on Saturday night. The service was great and the food was even better. I got the grilled seafood appetizer which was shrimp and calamari and scallops and it was delicious. My husband got the baked clams and he said they were very good. For main dishes my husband got the pork Ossobuco with pappadelle pasta. This entree was huge and so good. We ended up splitting it and we took home some of it for the next day. I had ordered the whole ronzino which they filleted for me and I didn't end up eating because of sharing my husband's dish. The next day I had the fish and it was just wonderful. And that was a big portion too. Very impressed with the food and the great service. My husband can't wait to go back and order the pork Osso Buco again Really delicious food and good service. We ordered the hot antipasti appetizer and it was huge. Enough for four people and was so good. Main meals were also good sized portions and really fresh and delicious. Love it that you can make a reservation. Only complaint is that it is very noisy. Hard ceiling and wood floor and the tables are kinda close. But the food and service is so good, it doesn't keep us from returning.

I found this restaurant by driving by it one night. From the outside seemed like a cute little place to eat. I went for my birthday with 10+ pple. I am not sure how people give these ratings. This is tops 3 🌟 restaurant. I will begin with opening the front door. I enter and automatically smelled mould. I did see they had an odor absorber to try and help but that was not cutting it. Walked in the 2nd door and the smell was still there just not as strong. We made reservations a week prior and table was not ready til about 15+ mins later. Not even an apology. Barely got a smirk out of the guy. As we waited we eventually were seated but 2 guests needed to be moved so we could fit my party. Servers was nice. Food not so much. Appetizers- stuffed artichoke wasn't fully cooked. The mozzarella caprese the mozzarella was hard. Calamari was chewy. My chicken dish was not good at all. The sauce seemed like it was days old. 1st pork chop came out burnt. The 2nd one came out undercooked. We had a few pasta dishes the sauce did not taste good at all. Watered down. Where I was sitting the mould smell was still lingering. We got one apology from a server regarding the pork and was taken care of. Majority of our dishes were not eaten. Not one manager came over to apologize. We were finishing up and they basically cleared us out by spraying tons of bleach. I am not sure if they were cleaning the kitchen but the smell was EXTREMELY over powering. We left with headaches. I am not sure how this place got a 4.6star rating but there are plenty of others place that better. I would not recommend this place.

Yelp
Came here to finish up restaurant week and couldn't be any happier. I mentioned to my friend \who lives in Merrick that we were coming here and she told me that it was her families "goto" for Italian food. It was a snap to get here from the Meadowbrook Parkway and they have a very convenient parking lot right on the side of the building. We came into a very comfortable venue, took our seats and was joined by our waiter immediately after sitting down. Loved the fact that there was really nice music in the background. I am so tired of hearing loud techno while trying to enjoy my meal. We started with some delicious toasted bread (I should have known better) and ordered shortly thereafter, (We had already reviewed menu at home.) Our dinner consisted of: Appetizers: - Mussels in a garlic / white wine sauce - Mozzarella caprese Main Entreès - Shrimp Scampi with linguine - Chicken Cutlet Parm with linguine - Chocolate Cake - Italian Cheesecake Everything was wonderful. My wife loved the caprese while I thought the mussels were amongst the best I ever had. (Best were in Bruges, Belgium) The Chicken Parm was thin, crispy on the outside with tender meat and the Shrimp was fresh and tasty. All this was followed by wonderful desserts with hot coffee. There were enough items on the menu to make me want to come back. On another note... I was a little surprised to see another Yelp review from a fellow Elite member which was not so favorable. Not sure how you can go from one extreme to the other but sorry to read that the experience was not as good as mine. KUDOs to the Team at Molto Bene.

Crystal P.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week since I'd been wanting to try it. I wouldn't come back. The fresh mozzarella tasted like it was just bought in a supermarket. Service was good at least and it's a nice looking place. Despite that my entree was okay, just okay. My son's pasta with butter looked like it came out of a microwave and was rubbery. First time I've ever seen my son spit out pasta and we go out to eat a lot. I'm giving two stars cuz my pasta wasn't horrible and it was good service. Wouldn't come back or recommend and I love Italian food. Was just disappointing.

Meghan R.

Yelp
Delicious food as always, great staff and service! Wish they were a tiny bit larger because they're always busy!

Patricia R.

Yelp
Great food at a local restaurant. Salads are fresh with a wonderful choice of ingredients. Homemade lasagna is made with Bechamel sauce - always delicious!

Andrew C.

Yelp
Molto Bene was a recommendation from friends and as a mid-point to meet for dinner. I enjoy dining at newfound restaurants on Long Island, and I surely was pleasantly surprised. Moto Bene is an unassuming restaurant with truly fabulous food and service. We ordered two appetizers, stuffed artichoke, and Burrata Cheese with Balsamic Drizzle, delicious. And for entrée, I had the Chicken Milanese, which was moist, and delicious. After dinner, we enjoyed cappuccino while enjoying each other's company. A worthy bistro is like a holiday, the dining experience goes beyond just the food. I highly recommend Molto Bene.

William M.

Yelp
Great food. Excellent service warm friendly atmosphere. Never a rush. Consistent over time.

HA S.

Yelp
Molto Bene is a great place to dine in for authentic Italian cuisine. We go there often and the staff is amazing. They cater to your every need. They have a nice wine list and fantastic entrees. We highly recommend the veal or chicken parmigiana.

Joseph D.

Yelp
Have been here before , we always enjoy our meal . Love the fact that the kitchen is open late , a rarity on Long Island. They don't rush you . A very pleasant meal late on a rainy Saturday night

Sheila G.

Yelp
The staff at Moito Bene are outstanding. They make you feel that you are a valued customer. I ordered a delicious salad as an appetizer but neglected to ask for the dressing on the side. The salad arrived with more dressing than I prefer. I apologized because it was absolutely my error. They said it was not a problem. I was served a wonderful salad, dressing on the side, moments later. The chicken, Molto Bene was excellent. If you're interested in fine food & extraordinary service, I strongly recommend Moito Bene.

Michele D.

Yelp
We have been here many times. The food is always delicious and hot. As a party of 4 we had baked clams and the stuffed artichoke, lemony and good. We also ordered the lamb, veal chop and veal sorrentino we loved them all. My friend is a vegetarian and they made up a pasta dish to her specs, amazing. The broccoli rabe was garlicky and we all fought for forkfuls that's how great it was. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was so fresh and pillowy. The only drawback is we felt a bit crowded with too many tables. We will return regardless.

Sean S.

Yelp
What a shit restaurant and they served me uncooked food. Kept hiring my chair the whole meal and didn't say excuses me or sorry. And after a shit meal they gave us a $3 piece of cake like that made up for the terrible food shit service and rude wait staff. DON'T EAT HERE.

Barry C.

Yelp
Went not busy we like to take out time, order a few apps then decide what we want for dinner over a bottle of wine. The waiter would not let us do that???? He said we have to give our full order including desert all at once??? We should have got up and left The Ink squid pasta was mush We got up and left

Lisa F.

Yelp
We tried the Pre Fix menu. I dont recommend. I havent had their food off the regular menu however I will NEVER go back for their Pre-fixed. I dont know if they subsitute the quality of their food for this menu but it was not good at all.

Yelp
Upscale Italian restaurant serving traditional fare. Driven by a million times, but never stopped in before. Arrived Easter Sunday for a late lunch early dinner. Thought the two of us would have an issue getting a table with no reservation, but folks here were very accommodating on the phone and told us to come on over. There was a very large family that took up half the dining room celebrating a birthday so everyone was in a good mood. Restaurant is small, cozy with white table cloths, nice vibe. Bar was half full with staff and friends enjoying their Sunday and making sure things ran well. Our waiter was more than accommodating and told us the specials and was spot on with ordering and attentiveness. Entire staff was on top of things, clearing plates and keeping waters filled. We ordered pretty standard fare, kitchen was happy to divide a traditional Caesar salad for us. We split some baked clams and wished we had ordered more. I felt compelled to order veal parmigiana and princess had pasta with vodka sauce. Veal was tender and tomato sauce was some of the best I've had out. Thanks for giving us a great Easter !

Sheri T.

Yelp
The artichoke appetizer was good. The ambiance was comfortable. One of my party ordered Veal milanese and it came Veal parm. Instead of making a new one they took it back, removed the cheese and drenched with tomato sauce. I still saw parts of cheese! The Veal itself was good. For dessert, the tartufo was literally ice. I really dont get why it was so busy. The tomato sauce was too sweet. Def not Italian.

Paul B.

Yelp
Took out the Restaurant Week complete dinner. Although the food was tasty the entree portion sizes were more for a child than an adult. The chicken Marsala was one very small chicken cutlet with about 5 slices of mushrooms & sauce that would barely fill a thimble. The appetizers were probably close to normal size, but the tiramisu for dessert was one forkful. I've been wanting to try this restaurant, but after this experience,, that will never happen.

Barb E.

Yelp
This is 3.5 restaurant . A step above average . The service is impeccable. The waiter, George is friendly and present in the dining room, the owner is constantly scanning the small dining room for any issues. The dining room is tiny and could use some refurbishing. The quarters are cramped and you are dining on top of one another . Some selections , such as the fried calamari were excellent , crispy coating the tender rings. But the tomato sauce was substandard for an Italian restaurant. The baked clams were bland; they are desperately in need of parsley and garlic. The veal chop was cooked to perfection but at $50 even served with 10 penne pasta pieces was overpriced. Again the tomato sauce was a huge disappointment. The soft shell crab were decent but not delicious. The price of $43 for two tiny soft shell crab over spinach was also expensive. The menu does have a price fixe during the week offering 3 courses Monday -Thursday if you are willing to accept less flexibility in the ordering.

Costa B.

Yelp
Cozy traditional northern Italian restaurant, staff were very friendly and the service was top notch , Mario was the best , I had the grilled veal chop it was cooked to perfection, tasty and delicious , their outdoor seating area is nicely and comfortably done , loved the Minestrone soup and calamari, the homemade tiramisu is to die for

Yelp
Visit Date: April 29, 2017 My friend had her bridal shower here so I was able to stop in. I was nervous about the kind of food that would be available, since I started a new way of eating in November and have lost tons of weight I'm always afraid of restaurant parties. However I was okay here. We were served three different appetizers, I took advantage of the caprese salad. The fried foods I stayed away from which were mozarella sticks and fried zucchini. The tomatoes were fresh and the mozarella cheese was very good. I had the eggplant parm for my lunch option. The portion was pretty huge and I ate it all. I wish it wasn't breaded but I saved room on my nutritionist plan for the day to allow for the breaded eggplant. I skipped the cakes for dessert even though I would have loved to have it. They looked very good. I like how the place set up for the bridal shower, but the space was a little bit tight. I would say if you're having a party of 30 people you might fit comfortably but more than that probably won't work so well.

Laureen G.

Yelp
Went here w family to celebrate my dad. Best thing about the evening was who we were with. And my oldest brother picked up the tab. We started w delicious bread. Had hot and cold apps. Mussels perfect, eggplant great sauce was so good. Cold apps were so tasty. I had mix seafood on spinach. It was so good. Every one at the table loved their food. Only down side was that they don't make fresh ice tea. But even the water tasted great and I am a snob about water and ice. Great time. Thank You for making it a special family dinner.

Billy M.

Yelp
Small, intimate setting. Food, service and atmosphere were outstanding !! highly recommend

Annushka K.

Yelp
It was ok, service was okay, food was okay, quiet Sunday night, the only customers there, nothing special. Honestly expected more .

John J.

Yelp
The food and service are extraordinary. Good size portions; extremely tasty and the service impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
A giant spider/big black crawling critter in my Valentine's Day dinner on Tuesday- my 4 year old daughter noticed it first and screamed. A black thing that looked like a tarantula was crawling around my oyster. I was so startled that I couldn't even speak let alone eat. Not wanting to ruin Valentine's Day for my family (or for those around us), I tried to hold in my anxiety. I thought a manager or someone would come over since our server did not seem to care one bit - even a complimentary drink would have helped. But for $230, this meal and service was completely not worth it. It's a big expense. Had the restaurant been more apologetic, it could have been a different experience. Instead I had nightmares about it and so did my daughter! I honestly hate writing bad reviews but shame on you for not caring AND for not making it right - especially on Valentine's Day.

Dr. Kathleen M.

Yelp
Arturo & Val the owners always there to greet you at the door. The food is always fresh and made to order. The staff and owners treat you like family. We love it so much it has become our go to Restuarant for a fresh home made meal whether fish and light fair or Risotto, home made Papparella pasta, Ossobucco or a traditional Chicken/Veal Parmigiano.

John T.

Yelp
Pass. Bella Notte was packed so we figured we would check this place out. We will pass for the future.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Went for the Restaurant week menu and they had great choices. Food was delicious and the service was very attentive... However, we felt that the portions were small. I saw others getting from the regular menu and the portions were very large... Will come back again and order from the regular menu... We went for restaurant week to another restaurant and felt the portions were also small... I guess you get what you pay for...

Mike F.

Yelp
Awesome service delicious well prepared fresh food. I love this place. It's the local great Italian restaurant every neighborhood should have. I'm glad it in Bellmore. It's just a warm friendly place with consistently great food. I highly recommend it!!!

Madelyn R.

Yelp
Great place to eat and the staff are all very friendly. The restaurant is very small, but with a big heart to serve our community with only the best food. Thank you for being a great place to enjoy a meal with your family.

Yogesh p.

Yelp
Horrible experience at Molto Bene :( My chicken entree came out lukewarm so I asked the waiter to reheat it but unfortunately it came out lukewarm again and the guy told me to be careful as the plate was very hot. My friend ordered a ravioli with pink sauce and got a rigatoni ! The waiter insisted that she ordered the rigatoni. Needless to say I spoke with the owner and her response was 'let me check with my waiter' and that's the last we heard from her. We had ordered a bottle of wine and we were overcharged by $10. The waiter adjusted the bill but overall experience was very disappointing. The owner has no concept of customer service .....

Doreen D.

Yelp
Probably the best pasta I've had in a restaurant. I ordered the Stuffed Rigatoni Bolognese. Highly recommend you go and enjoy a great meal.

Thomas V.

Yelp
Beyond ridiculous. Did restaurant week. No food at all. The sauce was terrible with the the small amount of pasta that was given. My 20 year old son, that would eat anything, said the dessert was gross. The bread as burnt that we were looking around the house if something was on fire when we brought the food in but it was the bread. GROSS

Natalie M.

Yelp
Beautiful romantic atmosphere. Attentive wait staff. Very small. Apps and desserts were amazing! Definitely try the Homemade Italian Cheesecake! Main dishes were salty.

Diane V.

Yelp
Food was prepared fresh very delicious lacks in plating . Dishes have the appearance of home cooking not elegant chef preparation Service was overly attentive Very eager to serve & make you happy

L P.

Yelp
Highly recommended! Food is fresh and delicious. Many specials offered daily. Great drinks and a nice wine list. Service is incredible. Since Covid, they now offer indoor and outdoor dining.

Cher W.

Yelp
I was just at this neighborhood restaurant that was opened for 3 years . Cool name but the inside decor needs work . Ordered the fresh mozzarella appetizer. Good dressing but they only gave you a whopping 2 slices with stale tomatoes . Had their house special black pasta with seafood which was tasty . Desserts not good - very small tiramisu and tasteless choc mousse cake . The thing that makes me not recommend this place is they overcharged us and even when we asked them about it they said we were wrong but did not actually itemize the bill. There's no way that dinner for 2 at a local restaurant where the bottle of wine was $34 can be $160. Those are Manhattan prices.

Corey M.

Yelp
Went out for dads bday tonight and being he loves Italian food that's where we went... we ended up here after I saw it was the only 5 Star in Nassau county and that it was!! I never post reviews but figured I would let everyone know from dinner to dessert it was amazing!! This place was definitely a 5 Star... The owner hangs around, very family oriented, delicious, definitely best Italian food I have had...(yes, I'm Italian), and everything at the table was amazing and then the dessert was over the top!!! Definitely check it out don't even waste your time looking for other places... Thanks again to the server, waiter, owner, chef, and rest of the crew for an amazing night! Dad was super happy! I like to try all the 5 Star places I can and it's rare you get one that actually holds up to its rating but well done!!! You did it!! Thanks!!

Corey M.

Yelp
Went in on a whim because we were kid free. There was only one other table taken when we got there so we were seated immediately. Restaurant looks very old school Italian. Staff was pleasant. The list of specials was as long as the regular menu. We shared the beet salad special, fried artichoke hearts appetizer, eggplant parm and veal chop Molto Benne. Beet salad was nice, beets and oranges with greens. Artichokes were lightly fried in a delicious lemon sauce. Eggplant parm was just ok. Too much breading for our taste. The veal was good. Fontina cheese, prosciutto and a nice sauce. The price wasn't as good but I should have realized it was a special. Dessert of tiramisu was delicious. Our waiter (I think he might be manager/owner) was very nice and gave us complimentary drinks. We both had homemade limoncellos which were strong and delicious. I was happy to see the restaurant fill up as we were eating our appetizers but they could have used some more help. Service got a little slow. Overall, a good neighborhood restaurant.

Anne N.

Yelp
Excellent dinner for Restaurant Week! Lovely house Cabernet sauvignon, delicious veal chop, yummy shrimp with zucchini zoodles, and wonderful tiramisu. Yummy dinner with just right size portions, not too big, not too small!

Lou S.

Yelp
I made reservations for Valentine's day using Open Table. My fiance is a picky eater and the menu had a couple of things that she would eat so that's what made me choose Molto. When we showed up, they had a fixed menu for Valentine's day and the only thing she would eat is the chocolate mousse desert. We asked the staff if they were willing to make a certain pasta dish from their normal menu but they declined, then we settled on a plain ravioli dish. Although the staff was very nice, I was very dissatisfied as I did not know they do a fixed menu. This was the first time we went somewhere like that. I wanted to take her out somewhere nice and have her be able to pick from a couple of dishes see would eat.

Susan S.

Yelp
I have never eaten here but decided to give it a shot tonight so ce they offered delivery due to our situation. I ordered dinner tonight from Molto Bene. Located on Merrick road just west of park place in bellmore It was DELICIOUS. We had escargot in a pesto sauce, shrimp francese and veal Genevese which was in a sherry sauce with artichoke hearts and mushrooms. Vegies and roasted potatoes and they gave us a piece of tiramisu on the house. I will definitely order from there again.

Brian G.

Yelp
Seriously delicious food and home made pasta. Stuffed rigatoni bolognese is incredible. Real Italian food.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Went here yesterday with my wife, brother in law and his girlfriend. They had a price fix menu that included an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The price was $35 a person. The appetizer I had were the baked clams. They were the 4 smallest clams I've ever seen in a restaurant. The entree I had was the stuffed rigatoni bolognese. The rigatoni and sauce were the best I ever had, unfortunately also the smallest portion I've ever been served in a restaurant. The dessert I had was the cheesecake. Wasn't really a fan, it was ok. The fact that I paid $35 dollars for dinner and had to hit Wendy's on the way home is terrible. I was literally starving. You try not to eat close to going out to dinner so you can enjoy the meal. The fish my wife had was also delicious just super small. She also left hungry. $200 for dinner and I have to hit Wendy's, would never go back.

Carly L.

Yelp
We went here on a Tuesday night it wasn't crowded. The entrees were huge! I got the lobster ravioli which was great and my boyfriend got the seafood pasta special. I would definitely go back!

S B.

Yelp
Meh. Just got take out because my favorite - Bella Notte - is "closed temporarily". We ordered the Stuffed Artichoke and Penne Ala Vodka with a side of meatballs. The Artichoke couldn't touch Bella Notte version with a 100 foot pole. Not a lot of bread crumbs or flavor and super duper greasy. Like orange greasy. The penne was just ok. The flavor was just ok. No pancetta or any other kind of meat. The meatballs were horrible. Small, rubbery. Tasted like canned meat or something. Won't be back.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
We literally stumbled upon this gem stone. Small yet well decorated and warm restaurant was the perfect place to dine in Bellmore. They featured a number of main course specials which made each one after the other harder to decide. Everything we chose was succulent and well prepared. Tasty tasty tasty.

Robyn D.

Yelp
Very tiny place. They had way too many things on special that you could never remember them all (10 specials is too much) They should specialize in one or two main items that are their"wow" dishes. Nothing was great at all. Our hot appetizer for two was cold. The big clams and that dish was all dried out, the muscles tasted fishy and the fried mozzarella was cold so the cheese was hard. Chicken Parm was OK but nothing memorable. The side of penne with Bolognese sauce tasted old and was discolored. Like I said for a tiny place they should have a specialty dish that really stands out that they make really good. I won't be going back

Phyllis C.

Yelp
Looking for a new Italian Restaurant, my girlfriend found Molto Bene. We were graciously greeted and seated. Wait staff could not do enough for you. Excellent service. The Molto Bene Salad was huge, my husband and I split it. Great combination of flavors and dressing. I am always a little hesitant when it comes to ordering eggplant parm, but I did. Eggplant was sliced so thin, breaded and fried to perfection. The sauce was so tasty. My husband had the pappardale with sausage and meatball which was also excellent. Italian bread served was a hearty tuscan bread . At the end of our meal compliments of the house we had tirimusu and fresh biscotti. Meals priced fair, especially for the amount of food served. Will definitly come back. Kudos to Molto Bene for great atmosphere, great service, and great food.

Benjamin F.

Yelp
Terrible. Had a Saturday night reservation. We get there to see a bar loaded with people with reservations who were told to just wait. The hostess could care less that they totally overbooked and that everyone waiting was in for at least an hour to hour and a half wait. Unacceptable. This is the second time this has happened to me personally and I have heard many other similar stories. We left and called Bella note. We were told we would hAve a short wait but they would accommodate us. We went there directly. Had a ten minute wait and enjoyed a delicious meal with great service. We will never go back to molte bene and will Choose Bella note instead. I suggest you do the same.
