"Moma is a fine dining restaurant in Rome, awarded one Michelin Star for its creative menu and excellent service." - The MICHELIN Guide

"Situated between Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini, Moma is a modern, multi-faceted restaurant that serves informal dishes at lunchtime and more creative traditional fare in the gourmet restaurant on the first floor, which also includes a small outdoor dining space that allows guests to make the most of Rome’s mild climate. The balance between textures and combinations and the attention paid to presentation and top-quality ingredients are the key features here, resulting in regionally inspired cuisine that also includes creative dishes such as risotto with camomile, smoked eel, honey and oregano. This focus on the region and its fine local producers is also evident on the wine list, which leans towards labels produced by small artisanal wineries. The young staff are attentive and keen to ensure that your evening is a resounding success." - Michelin Inspector

We had an exceptional dining experience, with every dish showcasing incredible flavors and attention to detail. The menu was diverse, and the standout for us was the chicken leg—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. A true testament to the restaurant’s culinary excellence. We look forward to coming back!

Google
This is definitely a Michelin star worthy experience! We went there for their lunch tasting menu with the wine pairing and it is worth every penny! Their risotto is the best risotto I've had! Perfectly cooked and full of flavours, the pairing with crispy eel is simply perfect. The wines, where to even start, I've discovered some exquisite wine which I'm too sad to not finding it in North America. If you're hesitating, try their lunch menu and it's definitely worth every penny!

Knowing it’s a one-star michelin restaurant, of course I came here with higher expectations. I can see the chefs have put a lot of creativity into the presentation of each dish. However, the flavour still fell short for me. It’s generally not a good option for customers with lighter taste buds. The only dish I truly enjoyed with the black cod. As for the decor of the restaurant, the restaurant was on the second floor with the first floor being a bar area. The ceiling was comparatively lower and just felt really cramped. The service seemed okay at first starting with them dropping my scarf right in front of me without saying anything. Then A lot of the dishes were served without clear explanations. Clearly the server wasn’t sure what some of the dishes got in them either. Even though we ordered a la carte, it took so long between dishes. I think I’d be ecstatic if it’s a random walk-in experience. Unfortunately, it’s a Michelin 1-star.

Had a lovely lunch at Moma, with creative dishes, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. One thing I have to mention is the flatbread they serve which you can't stop eating.. I'm still thinking about these crunchy sheets of yumminess.

Overall, I must say, this was by far the most underwhelming Michelin-starred experience I’ve ever had. We indulged in the “Tasting Creativity” menu, priced at a generous 150 euros per person. Creativity? Perhaps in the chef’s imagination. Oysters with shallot compote and Champagne sauce Standard fare. If you’re looking for creativity, keep looking. Langoustine, foie gras, lemon, and licorice The langoustine was decent, I suppose. But the foie gras? Let’s just say I shared my distaste for the gamey flavor with the waiter. His reaction? Priceless indifference. Veal sweetbread with curry carrots, robiola cheese, and chicory I couldn’t even force this one down. It seems “gamey” is the recurring theme of the evening. Perhaps it’s an acquired taste… which I hope never to acquire. Spaghettino with beetroot, Gorgonzola Riserva, and Pimpinella Ah, nothing like a strong blue cheese to completely obliterate the delicate flavor of beetroot pasta. Subtlety was clearly not on the menu. Lemon “Cappelletti” with ham and black tea consommé So, it’s lemon stuffed into pasta. That’s… interesting. And by interesting, I mean, why? Amberjack fish with sour butter sauce, shallot, and chili Finally, something remotely edible! The best part of the meal, probably because I had such low expectations by this point. Pigeon BBQ with “Suprema” sauce and Dukkah Pigeon It’s ok. Another gamey source, of course. What’s with the fascination with gamey flavors? Did someone order a theme night? Pumpkin raviolini with chestnuts, chocolate, and Armagnac A standard dessert. A bit too sweet

Google
Great food and wine by the glass selection, as one would expect for a 1-star Michelin restaurant. Flavors are awesome and portions generous. Only fresh ingredients and local fare without pretension and unique taste in classic dishes. Did not like the setting a lot, but everything was great, a bit on the expensive side but understandable. Downstairs they have a bistro and was crowded, with simpler cheaper options and bread and coffee. The place is also not great with the street being repaired in front. Hope that they remodel soon, it's be a great spot!

We were very happy to select and try out the Michelin Star restaurant. It didn't disappoint at all. The Food, service and ambiance was as expected and people were smiling and happy. The servers were amazing and very happy to celebrate our anniversary at Moma! Till next time. Grazie mille

Tasting menu with wine pairing. Staff was friendly and responsive. Enjoyed all courses but especially the chef’s treat at the beginning (pictured) and the buffalo pasta dish (pictured).

Yelp
With this being my second time in Italy I really wanted to explore the Michelin star side of Italian cuisine. Moma, although not our first choice, was a nice treat to indulge in while abroad. We opted for choosing a various items from their a la carte menu verses a traditional tasting menu. We started off with some small bites a crunch beet dish (5/5), a goat cheese "ice cream sandwich" (3/5 and a little too butter for me), and a beef tartare (3/5 pretty average). The second round of light bites was a chicken liver half dome (2/5 as I'm not a fan of chicken liver), and an anchovy cracker (2/5 nothing memorable). After the small bites we had the crispy sweetbreads with broccolini (6/5 and it melted in your mouth like butter), a citrusy eel risotto (6/5), and fresh truffle and lamb pasta (3/5 if it were warmer I may have enjoyed it more. We also had the cod and bok choy (2/5 as it had little to no flavor other than the general bitterness of the dish), the crispy quail (3/5) and a fois gras verrine. I though that I would've immensely enjoyed the fois gras dish, however the original flavor of the fois gras was lost in the pursuit of Michelin star glory and thus me giving it a (2/5). Also, the parting mignardises were a delightful way to end the night.

Yelp
You walk into a bar, at street level. The bartender asks your name, checks the list and calls upstairs. This takes about 30 seconds and now you head up a small flight of stairs where you are greeted and seated. This establishment has a Michelin star so of course service is going to be on point. Menus distributed and we land on the Moma's tasting menu with the 5 glass wine pairing. We started with a rose grand cru champagne and the amuse bouche. It was about 8 little one bite morsels. Pecorino Romano cheese between thin crackers with a little honey , and a paper thin cracker stuffed with fish that ate like a fish taco were our favorites. Next bread was brought out with a delicious olive oil. First course was Cesar salad it was a cardamum sauce on the bottom with bell peppers greens and a crunchy fried vegetable all standing at attention. The dish ate just like a Cesar salad. Our next course was cuttlefish with a puttanesca sauce. The dish is brought out with the cuttlefish cut to mimic fettuccine. Then the sauce is poured around the fish. This was a fun whimsical play on pasta. The sauce was rich, tart, and warm. The knife work on the fish was outstanding. Each piece of fish had the same thickness and width. Bravo to the person who butchered the fish. A stuffed pasta was our next course. Little tortellini in a sauce with diced peaches and mozzarella. The pasta was a perfect al dente, the peaches help cut the richness of the sauce the mozzarella added a creaminess. Next was a creamy al dente risotto with crispy skinned eel. This was a super rich dish that the smoky eel helped to balance out the dish. We move onto our last savory course it's picanha, or sirloin. Sliced thin served medium rare. Mashed potatoes with maybe mixed with Dijon mustard and grilled root vegetables. Everything about this disk worked and has a purpose. Moving onto desserts next is mango sorbet that has this delicious raspberry sauce underneath. A perfect reset for all the savory course. Next is a polenta cake, a vanilla Chantilly cream with a raspberry sauce. I was thinking dry hard polenta, of course I was wrong. The polenta ate just like a moist piece of cake. We ended our meal with a series of small one bite desserts. My favorite was a piece of chocolate that reminded us of a Nestle crunch bar. When the dessert courses started we were offered a coffee or tea. I asked our server about a port but they don't have it but he brought out a bottle of Muffo, a late harvest Italian wine. That wine was a perfect substitute for a port. A great meal, impeccable service and great wines. Thank you to the entire staff.

Alice C.

Yelp
I asked for them to actually cook the poor stake and they had the audacity to refuse to cook it to medium well... I'm paying for the thing and eating... at the very least I think they should be able to cook the thing to my liking. Not theirs. Disgraceful.

Mandeep C.

Yelp
Wanted to book a Michelin star restaurant on short notice, and their ready availability made me nervous, but we had a terrific meal. We had tasting menu with some interesting challenges: one diner was omnivore, another pescatarian, and third had several fish allergies. Kitchen did a great job of accommodating our preferences, making substitutions that made everyone feel valued... very atypical of our experiences with other Michelin starred restaurants. Food was creative, delicious, beautifully presented, with only a couple of misses. The service was particularly polished but also warm and friendly. We were last to leave but did not feel rushed. For price and quality, we felt excellent value. I wouldn't be surprised if they land a second star in years to come.

Thomas M.

Yelp
Got the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Everything was terrific and portion sizes were good (we left stuffed). My favorite courses surprisingly were the amuse bouche and the seasonal garden (these pickled veggies were amazing after 1.5 weeks of pasta and cheese in Italy). The only course I didn't love was the cuttlefish tagliatelle, as the cuttlefish was a little too soft to masquerade as noodles. The wine pairing was good (a sparkling, white, red, and a sip of dessert wine), but they also have very reasonably priced bottles and I'm not sure I would have preferred the pairing for 2 over a bottle. Service was very attentive throughout the entire 3 hour meal. Given the tasting was $110 with a $60 wine pairing, I thought this was fairly good value and would definitely return.

Anne L.

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal here at Moma. Every dish on the tasting menu was meticulously designed and extremely creative. The wine recommended to us by the sommelier was incredible. The staff was extremely attentive and professional. A well deserved Michelin star.

Andrew D.

Yelp
I'm a Michelin star slut but Moma did not satisfy me. We got the tasting menu and the only thing I really enjoyed was the mixed pickled vegetables and octopus. The spaghetti was good but boring, the risotto was too sweet, and the cuttlefish with tomato sauce tasted like perfume which made me gag but I kept going cause this was not a cheap meal. I will say the appetizers that they brought out were 11/10. Presentation and service was great all around but for the price the food was very lacking and not worth it.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
4.5/5 stars So glad we got to try a Michelin star restaurant in Rome! We did the tasting menu, and it was so fun! Ambience was nice. They had hooks near the tables to hold our jackets/bags. The food was presented so beautifully. I was pretty pleased with most of the dishes, but not every dish was 5/5 stars. Service was great To start, we got a bunch of appetizers. I couldn't even tell you what we ate! The descriptions weren't on the menu, and it was a little difficult to hear exactly what the waitstaff was saying about each appetizer. The appetizers were finger foods, and they were mostly delicious! Next came the bread! I couldn't stop munching on those crunchy pieces! Next came this vegetable dish, which was soooo flavorful (5/5). We then were served some carb dishes. The cuttlefish tagliatelle was interesting (3/5). The waitstaff poured the sauce on the noodles, which was fun. My dish was unfortunately cold, and the sauce wasn't very flavorful. The risotto with smoked eel was surprisingly good (5/5). The texture and flavors were stunning. The last savory dish was the octopus (4/5). I love octopus, but this one was a little dry. For the desserts, overall will give 4/5. Not entirely sure what each dessert was, but I gobbled everything up, so it must have been pretty good! Overall, the dishes here were pretty unique, and the tasting menu was very fun. I would recommend!

Yelp
Whenever we come to Rome, we look forward to a visit to Moma. Thank goodness it survived Covid! I visited alone this time and the staff were so welcoming and just the right amount of engagement. First, the staff are all professionals. Welcoming, efficient and thoughtful in their suggestions. Second, the food. It's sublime and well paced. The amuse bouche suggests the innovative and sophisticated flavors to come in the courses to follow. I had spaghetti aglio e oil with squid, and second was local fish in broth. I didn't order dessert but was happy when some lovely petit fours was brought to my table. Woah. The food is refined and delicious. Don't attempt to modify the menu items unless you have an allergy. I cannot wait to visit again!

Benajamin H.

Yelp
Should not have a star, I'll give it two here because the first third of the tasting menu was good, particularly the small starter course, and the vegetable course. The rest was a disaster with one dish being inedible for us and other nearby tables (the risotto), while others like the cuttlefish puttanesca having flavors not becoming of a star - the sauce tasted exactly like sugar free ketchup from Whole Foods. The wines were good. In terms of service it was another miss, no water service, missed explaining some dishes, dripped wine all over the table on every pour, etc. Would not recommend.

Brit T.

Yelp
Did the tasting menu here and it was great! The wine pairing was excellent and the overall service was great.

Kimberley R.

Yelp
Bravo! We had the pleasure of dining at Moma on a recent trip to Rome. I cannot express enough how wonderful this restaurant is! The food is outstanding. They started us off with their delicious small bites, the next course was the crudo, then the pasta course of spaghetti and carbonara, fish course and ended with small bites of dessert. It was a well orchestrated meal with lots of great flavor. They have recently earned their first Michelin star and I believe it is well deserved!

Lisa G.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! We were lucky as they had a cancellation and we were able to get a table. The food was excellent and unique. The chef clearly cares about giving a unique experience to their guests.

Topanga S.

Yelp
Food 3 stars but I give this place 4 for the exellent service. All the servers and sommlier were wonderful. I had a tasting menu with all seafood as I sort of requested. My favorite dish was difinitely the eel rissoto with camomille tea. It was absolutely delicious. Squid with tomato sauce and octopus dish were honestly were ok, a bit boring. Desset was like peach with ice cream nothing cretaive or wow. Wine selection was amazing. Sommlier really knows what's good. I had a glass of rose from France and it was the best rose ever. I'm not so much a fan of rose usually this one was excellent. I will find and purchase a bottle. Overall I had a great time and they made me so happy on my last day in Italy.

Sydney G.

Yelp
I stopped by Moma for my first lunch in Rome and what a unique start of my eating journey it was. The place is very elegant and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the cuttlefish pasta and risotto with eel. The cuttlefish pasta was like nothing I had tried before- the sauce was good and unique but the texture was a bit chewy in a way that I can't say I was running back to. Meanwhile the risotto felt decadent- super creamy with crispy small pieces of eel. It felt like a small portion when I looked at it but realized quickly it was perfect for how rich it was. This was a unique meal and a great and affordable way to taste a Michelin rated restaurant.

Bernie P.

Yelp
Being American and who had been touring all day, we were the first (not surprisingly) to arrive at the restaurant at 7:30. I believe the restaurant caters to an English speaking crowd, but this was really a top notch restaurant with superbly friendly service and great food. Before we made our reservation we confirmed if the chef could offer a lactose free tasting menu. They reconfirmed this when we sat down and offered some inventive options not on the standard tasting menu. There was real harmony with the courses. One of the nice surprises was the cuttlefish. This was cut in such thin strands it resembled pasta and was perfectly seasoned with anchovies, olives and capers. Also, one of the most beautiful plates was the starter including pickled vegetables and prawn. Regarding the lactose issue, the chef made some clever substitutions with almond and pumpkin cream. Actually, I think we really enjoyed each course and the pairings as well. I believe Moma is a real find, and if you are in that part of Rome should be on your list. It will be on our list when we return.

Tammy P.

Yelp
This restaurant is truly amazing! Food is excellent, and even a cut above most restaurants in Rome, which is the big leagues of restaurants to me. Sure, there may be plenty of less expensive restaurants, but not of this quality! It's probably a special occasion restaurant for most, including me, but definitely plan for it, you won't be sorry. Enjoy :)!

Milo D.

Yelp
Great meal. We had three amazing wines paired with the tasting menu. The food ranged from citrus infused flavor profiles to sweet and savory carmelized pork with delicate fennel. The dessert was to die for. One of the best meals of my life and certainly the best so far during my visit to Rome.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Yelpers of the world unite - buy a ticket, fly to Rome and put Moma on the top of your list to visit (at least for the food). Yes, this place is just that good! This was a short walk from our hotel and turned out to be the best and favorite meals during our 2 week stay in Italy, which included stops in Venice, Florence, and Rome! We were completely blown away by the quality and presentation of each course. Each dish seemed better then the last. So creative with the flavors and ingredients. The Royal Foie Gras and Seared Beef Fillets were my favorite, but I doubt you could find a bad dish on the menu. Great wine list, excellent service and overall beautiful atmosphere. We noticed at least half of the patrons were local, which is always a good sign. Can't say enough good things about Moma other than we plan to come back on our next trip to Rome. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Melani L.

Yelp
So amazing! My husband who is a chef got to meet the chef after dinner! So much fun, excellent service and amazing food! We want to go back! 2 bottles of wine and soooooo much food later....we are happy as can be and stuffed beyond belief! Come here and make your stomach happy!

Mike W.

Yelp
Amazing food. In a group of 12, we took a range of 5 to 75 year olds for a multi course, wine tasting driven feast. The owner/GM helped us navigate the wine list, staff was patient with the ordering and the food came out fantastic.

Kevin H.

Yelp
My wife and I went for dinner here our last night in Rome, and it was one of the best meals we had the whole 10 days we were in Rome! As a reference for pricing, we had 1 glass of wine each, and appetizer to share, 1 pasta to share, two entrees, and a desert and our bill came to €119.00. In addition to what we ordered, they also brought out several items before and after the meal that were not charged to us. The portions are smaller than many of the restaurants around the city, but I recommend trying everything they bring out, and you won't leave hungry!

Erin Q.

Yelp
What a delectable treat for the senses! Started with a complimentary sea bass tartare topped with a margarita foam, veal tongue with anchovy paste, and curry biscotti. All had amazing flavor! Followed that with an appetizer of Raw shrimp, pickled vegetables, ricotta cream, and lime (presentation was spectacular). Entrees tried were the grilled octopus with panzanella bread and tomatoes and the Fusilloro pasta with mussels, leek, chamomile, and verbena. Atmosphere is higher end, great staff, and they had a wonderful wine list. Yum!

Fritz L.

Yelp
Great restaurant with great food! Had the grilled octopus! Amazing! They brought us a few chef specials that were amazing and a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Terra H.

Yelp
if you're ever in rome, make it a point to eat here. the food is TO DIE FOR and the wine list is superb. we ate there after a long flight from the states, so i can't remember the names of the dishes we had, but i remember how damn good they were. for dessert they sent out a plate of 4 finger foods, one of them being a home made marshmallow...and oh wow! definitely something i'd like to have again and again.

Alli O.

Yelp
The best meal we had in Rome!! You need to make a reservation because a lot of business people bring guests to dinner here, but that's always a good sign. :) Dinner will cost you between 55-100 euros for two, of course it always depends on what you order. I ordered a beef dish with a carrot salad and my husband a fried ravioli dish. Both of our dishes were amazing, and the service superb. I highly recommend eating here for the quality of food and the service. They also have a pretty good wine list and the waiters can help you select!

Henry O.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazingly creative presentation and flavors. Chef uses unconventional ingredients to make incredible dishes. Reasonably priced for such great food, ambiance, and friendly staff.

Brett P.

Yelp
My best meal in Rome. Excellent waiter. Excellent ambience. Excellent food. Expansive wine menu. Complimentary amuse bouche and dessert plate. Eat here. It's worth it.

Tara W.

Yelp
For our last meal in Rome, we wanted to stay close to the hotel and have something light so we wouldn't feel gross flying the next day. A wine bar seemed like a good idea. Moma was not really what we expected- it was more like trendy American cuisine with an Italian twist- a little bite of this, tiny vegetables, some smears of sauce. It was in fact very good, and can be light it you order right. Veal and sweetbread with artichoke Mixed vegetables- tiny carrots, onions, and those cool twisty cauliflowers. It had cocoa powder around it to look like a garden. Didn't really taste like cocoa. Lamb ravioli with artichoke- it had fried and puréed artichoke. So good Cacio pepe Lamb Fish of the day (sea bass) & mixed vegetables- kinda similar to the appetizer. I wish they had warned me; probably wouldn't have ordered both.

Orin K.

Yelp
We had the most wonderful dinner last night. We sat outside and were taken care of by Maurizo. He was so wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. The presentation was amazing and creative. Maurizo suggested the perfect bottle(s) of wine for dinner. One of the most enjoyable meals we have ever had!

Gadi P.

Yelp
Used Yelp to locate this place and it was good that I did so. The place is very intimate, well designed and clean. The food was fantastic - sophisticated, precisely done and delicious. The staff were only to eager to help, and practically hovered over us to make sure that we were happy. All in all helped a lot to create the romantic atmosphere needed for a couple's visit to Rome.

Gary B.

Yelp
Based on the reviews, we decided to dine at Mona's. This turned out to be one of the best restaurants we have eaten at. We decided to begin the evening with their chestnut flour pasta, Passateli, followed Baccal Affumic ( cod) and Filfetto di Pesc ( rock fish, then finished with Terra R Cacao. Interspersed in the meal was tuna tartar, several types of bread, and dessert treats. Besides the great food, the service by Emanuel was above great. He made us right at home. If you are in Rome, experience a true delight by visiting Moma's.

Niels R.

Yelp
One word: Amazing! We were completely blown away by the "Degustation menu" five courses and lots of little tasters in between for 45 euro. The best scallops we ever had. Small works of art like "my vegetable garden" complete with "soil" and mushrooms. We asked for help with wines and were impressed by their suggestions - inexpensive and well matched choices throughout. The best meal we had in Rome - really a bargain, we will make sure to visit the restaurant next time we are in Italy, but fear that the chefs: Alessandro Cannata and Francesca Priscilla Fucci may move on. They are clearly rising stars and we wish the best for them and their career.

Winfred S.

Yelp
Had lunch there since it was close to the hotel. It was mainly a business crowd. It got very packed. The food was good but it was a little pricey. I would avoid it for lunch and go for dinner.

Abbie U.

Yelp
The best meal experience We have had here in Rome. Do not hesitate treat yourself to an evening of culinary delight. The staff went out of there way to see that we enjoyed our meal. Excellent in every way. We will see them again the next time we are in Rome.

M T.

Yelp
We came for aperitivos (Italian tapas). As we approached the bar, the bartender said the restaurant is not open but he had aperitivos ready to be served. The aperitivo were display and he heated some up as well. We received a variety of 5 aperitivos. Two of them were mini sandwiches stuffed with cheese & mushroom, and another with anchovies & cheese which gave it a salty kick. We also ate chips, olives, and a fried delicacy. Locals would just drop by and get an espresso and go on their way at this time. We also indulged in espresso, tea, and cookies. Their selection of desserts was displayed at the bar and such a variety. The aperitivos hit the spot and we left happy. Happy to spend time in this local joint.

Bruce F.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Exquisite food presentation. Delicious, creative, modern Italian food. Let's see. We had a five course tasting menu for €50 plus an amuse bouche and complimentary biscuits after dessert. We had cod carpaccio, seasonal vegetables, potato ravioli with ricotta, veal with fried capers and a tuna sauce, plus a fig dessert. Each course was a delight. I love it when I'm presented with new combinations of flavors that work. The food is both honest and intricate at the same time.

M D.

Yelp
Went out for dinner by myself while traveling on business. Best decision! SUPER friendly staff and the food is amazing. The appetizer with porcini mushroom jelly and a quail egg made my evening.

Tim K.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Rome. Come here every time I'm in Rome and have never been disappointed. Fresh, original fare in a bright comfortable atmosphere along with sidewalk seating. Miguel took great care of us.

Autumn S.

Yelp
Wow! I second Brett P with the best meal in Rome comment. This place has it all; great little coffee/wine bar downstairs and perfect, intimate restaurant upstairs; both with excellent service. Our servers were able to recommend the perfect wines that paired well with our dishes and answered all our questions concerning the varied items on the menu. I must admit the poached egg in a creamy cauliflower and cheese sauce was a heavenly starter. For my entree I went with fresh made lasagna pasta (oh so soft and billowy)with a creamy blue cheese fondue layered on top and mixed with chopped peppers; a perfect combination. Our dessert, rum soaked yellow cake served with citrus was scraped off the plate by me-and I usually do not go for cakes soaked in liquor as I find the liquor overpowering. Oh, and of course the best finish you could ever have to end a meal, husband and I both gasping in shock when we saw the bill, it was a bargain compared to what you would pay normally for food of such quality in the states. With the excellent tastings thrown in (pumpkin puree over tangy-yogurt and shortbread sweets to conclude our meal) I highly recommend a visit to Moma!

Todd P.

Yelp
Went to this place because of the stellar reviews but was a bit disappointed. Moma is average at best. The appetizer of grilled vegetables was served on a potato paste surround by mocha flavored bread crumbs - both of which detracted from the vegetables. My wife had pasta with local crawfish and it was over powered by a strong fish odor. The waiter said the pasta was boiled in the water used to cook the crawfish. She sent it back and had a salad instead. I got the grilled octopus and it was delicious and was the only reason I gave this place 3 stars

Henry G.

Yelp
We were four looking for a good meal on our first night in Rome. I had suggested Moma due to the good reviews on yelp. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and seated quickly. As this is Rome plan on dining, not eating. There were several pre meal offerings sent to the table by the chef. Each of the tapas style "treats" we're fantastic. This just increased our expectations for our meal. The wine list was a little daunting, but with a little assistance from our waiter (truth be told he picked the wine for us) we ended up with a fantastic bottle of reasonably priced red wine. Each of us ordered something different and we tried as many dishes off the menu as possible. Each and every one was fantastic. Portion sizes are perfect and the taste is unbelievable. Desserts are works of art, and the taste of each of them were distinct and fabulous. I will be returning to Moma on each visit to Rome with no doubt that the food will be fantastic. By the way, we met the chef, wish I could remember his name, but he is young and motivated to make this restaurant a success. His floor staff bring his motivation to their job as well. Maybe lunch today, is that too soon?

Jim M.

Yelp
First class service and meal. Would go back. Be prepared to spend about 50 euro per person. But you will leave very happy.

W H.

Yelp
Came here for the weekday lunch, we were dining amongst the bankers from BNL across the street and other suits from around the block. The restaurant is very posh and the service is wonderful. The homemade breads they serve are amazing. There are very few vegetarian options available but the salads are very yummy. A solid option when in Rome!

D S.

Yelp
Very impressive food, considering the location in the middle of multiple tourist joints serving mediocre food to giddy Americans. Sea urchin pasta, mushroom antipasto (containing fresh porcini, morels, and a delicious mushroom jelly among multiple other ingredients), ravioli, beef cheek - this is serious cooking, folks. We didn't try the 45 EUR prix fix which sounds like a great bargain. For desert, their rum baba is worth giving up your first born for. Great amuse bouches and small after-dinner nibbles are a sign of a generous and inventive kitchen. Don't miss if you are in the area.

Yelp
inspired cuisine with unintuitive yet sublime flavor combinations (sea urchin and sweetbreads, raw shrimp and foie gras) that left some deep memories. but they also execute on classics such as a gricia pecorino and bacon pasta that was hearty and glorious. attentive service and exceptional value.
