Momiji Redmond

Unplanned visit but it was very enjoyable. Had dinner with 2 good friends. We had a communication of ngiri, sushi rolls and some tofu. I ordered the ngiri. It was very good although somewhat unusually is ordered by the piece (rather than in a pair). I tried my friend's tofu (very good) and her vegetarian (avocado) sushi roll (also good and very fresh) but not my other friend's spicy roll (he didn't offer). Very nice atmosphere with good service. Would definitely eat here again

Had the best happy hour meal I've had in Redmond. Started with a Astrae Ocean gin with elderberry tonic by the bartender Luis who was very gracious. The Yellowtail sashimi looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I tried the happy hour Japanese Highball and it was bold and refreshing. Also tried the Seattle roll and short ribs and was not disappointed. Atmosphere was elegant and clean. Service was top notch. I will be coming back to this great sushi spot for sure.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in the Seattle area. I absolutely loved their karaage chicken, perfectly crispy and full of flavor, easily my favorite in the Seattle area. All of the sushi we tried was also incredibly flavorful. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Will definitely be back again. You can get parking validated

Came for Happy hour 4-6pm with 5 adults and 1 toddler and was very happy with the price to food ratio! Best deals are Agedashi Tofu and Soba Salad Momiji is such a classic Seattle Japanese restaurant. It’s been around forever. I am very happy it’s now on the Eastside! Parking is complementary (maybe for 2 hours?) after signing into tablet at counter The calamari I wished was more fried (less soggy) but the portions were good.

Great food, great service. They validate parking, but I didn't know and did street parking. Arrived at 10pm on a Saturday and got seated immediately. Last call for food was 10:30pm. Food came out very fast and everything was delicious. We were immediately given complimentary edamame 😋 From the late night food menu we ordered: 2x sushi set b ($11 each) - nothing too special, but good pieces of sushi 2x short ribs ($9 each) - our favorite dish of the night. Well marinated calamari ($9) - delicious! Good calamari From the regular dinner menu we ordered Yakiudon ($24) - was not expecting so much bell pepper, and the chicken wasn't the best. But otherwise Udon very yummy And from the daily special menu Kanpachi ceviche ($18) - 5 pieces of Kanpachi, but it was fairly large pieces and the dish was very flavorful We enjoyed every dish and our server Quinlan was very friendly and attentive! Going to be dangerous once HEYTEA nearby opens.... Gonna find reasons to come here much more often then.

If you care about freshness, thoughtful flavors, and sushi that feels elevated but still approachable, Momiji is an easy repeat. Perfect for date night, friend hangs, or when you’re just craving really good sushi. There's a bar with unique offerings, although we did not try any spirits. There's always a next time!

So good! The sushi here is super fresh and delicious, every roll was packed with flavor and the dishes are beautifully presented.The staff were really friendly and the service was quick. The restuarant had a nice chill cozy vibe yet still look elegant. Perfect for dinner with friends or a date night. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in Redmond 🍣🙌

There is a restaurant with a new location in Redmond. This restaurant is going to be a hit. The location is in the center of Redmond near the Redmond Town Center with validated parking in the same building as the restaurant. When you walk up to the restaurant has a modern flair and yet welcoming feel. There is a bar with traditional bar stools but also with tables. The main dining room is quite tranquil and serene and yet still carry the same modern feel. The music in the background matches the vibe of the establishment. The service is efficient and friendly. No question ever seems too much for the staff. On to the important part, the food. We had the Yakisoba noodles which as a very large portion with all the good flavors and texture that one would expect from a restaurant of this class. The Domburi and Chirashi bowls were done up with great care in the appearance and flavors. The textures of the fish was on par with some of the best in the Northwest. The Poke rolls were a good sized portion and with flavors that all blended well and yet discrete flavors were all there. The pricing here is good and when you get your bill at the end of the meal, you feel like you got your money's worth. I have been looking for a place like this for quite a while and now I do not have to go into Seattle for this quality. I would definitely recommend this place to try.

We were able to walk in and sit easily at 5:45 on a weekday. The good: Yakisoba, tempura veggie medley of options, yellowtail sushi The bad: Sushi roll, rainbow tower The meh: out of menu item before 6pm Lots of servers constantly on the move and making sure water is filled, but our table server didn't come around after dropping food until it was time for the check. We haven't been here before and it seems very sushi forward with tons of fried and spicy options. I enjoyed the flavor of my yellowtail sushi fish. The salmon avocado roll was disappointing all around--nothing had any flavor to it and the dry nori made it inedible. I found the creamy hotate to just taste like mayo. The sushi rice has no flavor at all, and between the roll and the sushi bite, the seaweed was tough and dry and what was left to chew for any bite. The sushi tower was not well cut with partially minced pieces thrown together with brown spotted and fresh avocado. My honey loved his chicken yakisoba, no notes. He loved the gingery-soy sauce and the tender fried chicken pieces and combo of veggies. I enjoyed the mixture of tempura veggies (shishito, okra!, sweet potato, zucchini, squash, red bell pep) and would ask for a no-shrimp option in the future, as the shrimp didn't have any flavor to me. The sauce was also very light tasting. The vibe was like eating on a loud set design for a life size doll house--very different interior combination. We would come back for the chicken yakisoba and tempura, def not for sushi.

I was excited to hear that Momiji was getting a Redmond location, as I've had the Seattle locations recommended to me many times but never had a chance to go. I'm happy to say that this is the best sushi I've yet had on the Eastside. My main concern with sushi is the freshness and cut of the fish and they are excellent here. We sat in the bar area where Junior took great care of us. He gave us samples of the happy hour sake options and I loved the nigori he recommended. We ordered some happy hour options, some from the regular menu, and some from the sushi bar, and everything was really delicious. I highly recommend ordering from the daily fresh menu. The ambiance is a little bright and loud for me; it's more of a fun party atmosphere than a romantic outing, and there are a few new-restaurant kinks to work out. But overall I enjoyed my visit so much, and it's a short walk to Salt & Straw afterwards. I look forward to my next meal from Momiji!

What a great location!! And I must say they outdid themselves with the interiors. Love that it's spacious, with a lots of natural light and lots of seating options. Service was excellent and timely. Cleanliness 10/10. I love that you can see people working in the kitchen. Food is 10/10 and so are the portions. My girlfriends and I went during happy hour and thought the portions might be small, but we were mistaken. They're generous, and oh so yummy! Can't wait to come back for more!

So excited about Momiji being in Redmond! Amazing sushi as always. Service was quick and great. I was happy to see the restaurant was busy on a Thursday night, plenty of bar seating.

Extremely bad customer service starting before even being seated. Our party of 4 got attitude from the hostess that didn't even bring us to the table and assumed we could read her mind which table we were meant to be seated. Then the waiter completely ignored us when trying to wave him down 3 times giving eye contact but continued to genz stare down the glass cups until they dried. Sashimi was decent but over priced for what it was.

Quality of sushi was great. Arcy and Kevin at the sushi bar were great (friendly and very knowledgeable of the fish they were serving. My waiter did a great job and was friendly. I will definitely eat here again.

Staff was professional and welcoming. Hot salted edamame served after sitting down. Tempura was light, crispy and delicious. Shrimp Yakisoba had a generous amount of large shrimp. Seems like the place is well run. We will be back again.

This is a new sushi place in Downtown Redmond. They asked us to wait until 4:00 p.m., when they officially opened. The service inside was excellent, and the food quality was okay. The place has a big ceiling, and the decor is nice. The wooden benches' backs have an edge that destroys your back while you eat, so you cannot enjoy the food. They need to invest in cushions for the backs, and the other chairs are wood only. I do believe they also need cushions so you can focus on eating and not on the rigidity of the chairs.
