We came for the すだちsoba, enjoyed the broth but a bit disappointed in the soba itself, texture was too soft for my liking. Maybe my bowl was overcooked? Cold one should be better. A bit overpriced. Great view, nice restaurant.

It was nice as it locates nearly the gorges and waterfalls. The view was great. It serves tasty tempura. The staff are nice too. However. The noodle itself isn’t good. Not sure why the queue was so long ..

I had the 2650 set which was really good especially the tempura. The fish was okay and as well as the soba. I would come again

It's not the greatest soba restaurant but perfectly adequate and compensated by the superb views over the river. A great place to take visitors as the traditional style, thatch and wood interior is also of interest. However the tempura was done well as was the grilled river fish.

Good decor and vibe for a local soba restaurant. English menu available. Good view of the river. However the Iya soba was a bit underwhelming- the flavour was a bit thin, the soba was overcooked and noodles break just by picking it up with chopsticks. Was expecting chewy and buckwheat taste of soba but both are not strong in the dish. Can take a break here but soba can have some room for improvement if this is their main selling dish / recommendation.

Enjoy the Soba with the stunning scenario! They sell the 關東煮/ oden with limited numbers, come to taste them earlier. (Sadly, I am unable to try them as they are sold out in the morning.) The Soba is tasty and I have tried one served with the local lemons. Hm...not recommend it to someone who don’t like sour food/vinegar. My friend have the one served with tempura, which I think is much better. No English menu but all staffs are helpful and passionate. You will get the excellent service with the great food.

The shop itself is gorgeous and there’s a lovely view of the river nearby. 10/10 for atmosphere. The Iya soba here was a little disappointing; The flavour was thin compared to other restaurants in this area, and the amount is small. The teishoku set with amego fish was delicious though, and worth trying out.

Soba restaurant with a very convenient location and plenty of parking next to a modern roadside stop. Reasonable quality and value, and relaxing interior with great views of the river.
