Momo Cafe Review - Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Momo Cafe sits at the front of Japanese restaurant Momonoki in Midtown. They offer a variety of coffees and teas at their service counter—the refreshing matcha latte is our favorite order. A display case with appetizing small pastries like mochi donuts and elevated croissants (get the savory onion, gruyere, and rosemary combo) make it impossible to avoid ordering food so take your mini breakfast and caffeine crutch upstairs. The small, sleek nook overlooks Momonoki’s dining room on one side and the interstate on the other and feels like a cozier version of an Apple Store. So if your mind is easily distracted this is the perfect place to crank out the work you told your boss you’d already finished. photo credit: Candy Hom photo credit: Candy Hom photo credit: Candy Hom photo credit: Amy Sinclair" - Juli Horsford

This restaurant offers meals like Hong Kong style BBQ/roast/ chicken/duck/pork. in terms of authenticity, they are not authentic Hong Kong style of BBQ. You do not need to top with any extra soy sauce to increase the flavor of the roast meat. But are they not tasty? To be honest, they are not that bad. This will be one of my lunch choices in daily basic if I am just lazy of preparing for lunch. The bingsu, it was lovely and refreshing!

My recent experience at Momo Cafe, focusing solely on their Bingsoo dessert, merits a glowing 5-star review. The Bingsoo was not only delicious but also showcased a delightful combination of flavors that made it a standout treat. The dessert's sweetness, while enjoyable, leaned slightly towards the intense side. If you have a sweet tooth, it's a perfect indulgence, but for those who prefer a milder sweetness, it might be a tad much. However, the overall taste and presentation were impressive, making it a delightful culinary experience. The servings were notably generous, ensuring that each bite was a satisfying mix of textures and flavors. Momo Cafe doesn't skimp on portion sizes, adding extra value to the delightful dessert. The atmosphere at Momo Cafe contributed significantly to the overall experience. It was fun, creating a lively and enjoyable setting that complemented the sweetness of the Bingsoo. The ambiance added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. In summary, Momo Cafe earns a solid 5-star rating for its delectable Bingsoo dessert. While the sweetness might be a bit intense for some, the generous servings, delicious taste, and fun atmosphere make it a must-try for dessert enthusiasts.

Their Mango Bingsoo is one of the best things I ever had! It’s so huge and it’s better to share it with friends honestly! Very cute ambience and quick service!

Mango bingsoo is such a delicious and refreshing dessert. Very nice ambience and quick service. The portion is huge so two people can easily share it.

Tried their four bingsoos in a week 😂 loved EVERY flavor! (The last one was a takeout order which they do not recommend). Best Asian desert in town!

Google
Their bingsoo tastes decent. However, their rice bowl is bad. Only little meat, two boiled bok choys, and their rice is too soft.

Love the bingsoo! I would like to try more flavors when visiting next time. I would say the Ovaltine French toast is my favorite and plz take a try:)

Yelp
Their bingsoo is amazing!!! I love going here and splitting the dessert with a friend or two. I've tried the mango, taro, strawberry, and soymilk flavors, which were all delicious!

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. Their Bingsu is my favorite thing in the world. It was such a pleasure to be able to eat here before it closed

Yelp
Pretty good fare... Large portion sizes... I'd say pricing is just right. Super nice staff! Compared to other restaurants in the west Lafayette area Momo Cafe is pretty good. Because I'm so surprised to find decent flavors, large portions, and nice staff at a Chinese restaurant.. that gets five stars! We had chicken curry rice and it came with two chicken cutlet patties!!! After we packed left overs I asked for a bit more curry and they gave extra for free!! We had duck on rice... That was a huge portion... Third, we had the house special soup with noodles... A very nice 4-inch prawn, plus 2 pieces of beef, tofu strips, napa & soup. Oh... The rice noodles were soaked too long so their texture was off, just saying we know the difference. Bing Soo with strawberries... It could have been bigger... But for having it in the Midwest near Perdue... It's delightful!!!

Yelp
We stopped here on a road trip to Chicago for a bite, and maybe I'm not giving Lafayette the cred it deserves, but I did not expect a place with such good food (both savory and sweet). We ordered a mango bingsoo to share, and it was huge (shared among 4 people and everyone was satisfied), not too sweet (the highest compliment I can pay to a dessert), and fresh. We also ordered a fried rice that tastes just like it does back home. Not drenched in soy sauce, and excellent wok hei. It took a while for the fried rice to come out but I'm 90% sure it was made to order (heard eggs being whisked), and it was made by the guy who also made the bingsoo. One person for both back of house and front of house is pretty crazy, but it worked. And he was super nice! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Just got the mango one. It was different but delicious! Place looked kind of dirty and not put together well. Language barrier. Seemed a bit rude but again there was a language barrier so could've just been the.

Yelp
LOVE their bingsoo. I've had the mango, taro, and soy milk balls one and the mango has been my favorite. Their takoyaki is also really good.

Yelp
Don't order the hot pot food. It's way too watery. We ordered delivery and has no flavor compared to the actual traditional hot pot dish. Not close what it supposed to be.
