We had a birthday party at this restaurant, and one unexpected guest arrived. We simply needed one extra chair, but the staff refused—first the waiter, then the manager, and finally even the owner. There were extra chairs available, the restaurant wasn’t full, and yet they repeatedly told us, ‘These are our rules.’ The manager even said we should just stand.
I understand that restaurants have policies, but good hospitality is about making reasonable accommodations for guests. The food was decent, but the way we were treated left a terrible impression. If a restaurant values strict rules over basic customer service, it doesn’t deserve to be called high-quality.
