"Fancy some Japanese ramen? Then look no further! This hip and laid-back spot serves fresh house-made noodles. The aromatic dishes draw on regional ingredients and dispense with any additives. Reduced menu at lunchtime. An amusing detail: the toilets are wallpapered with Japanese newspapers." - Michelin Inspector

I simply love this place! The best Ramen in town. Authentic, delicious and affordable. My first visit turned into an addiction 🤭 I come here on a regular base and I never leave disappointed. 10 out of 10! You need to book a table in advance though.

The food is great, you mouth can expect delicious vibrant spicy combination 😋, so don’t play lottery and make yourself a reservation 💪. Service is professional and easy going, just be ready for some moderate noise.

Google
An optical understatement. It doesn't look like a really good ramen restaurant but it definitely is. I have enjoyed a very delicious ramen with a superb sake and home made ice tea. Can definitely keep up with the good ramen restaurants in Japan I was there this year too! Definitely on my favourite list now. :3

Google
Very tasty ramen and I can also highly recommend the yuzu lemonade. Staff could be a bit more attentive but they have been very friendly and efficient. You should definitely go if you want authentic ramen.

Expected something better from a Michelin guide restaurant. The place is also very small and it does not feel too comfortable to eat

Google
A very busy eatery, even at 4pm. A booking is recommended. Large portions, and an extensive menu. Tasty ramen. Lots of cool Japanese drinks. Heartwarming on a cold Hamburg day.

Google
Great service from a blonde hair waitress with dreadlocks, she gave us great recommendation on the menu, we had chashu buns, szechuan gyozas, tonkatsu red, spicy tantanmen, all really good! Ramen was close to the original japanese ramen, amongst the top three i tried in Europe. Definitely a return! Service was fast despite a full restaurant, waiters and waitresses were friendly and passionate about the food which made the overall experience highly satisfying!

Google
One of the best ramen places in Hamburg. Every time I go here I witness the same level of quality for ramen. They never disappoint. They also offer extra noodles in case you are hungry. Do reserve in advance as it’s mostly crowded here. Prices are okay for what they offer. Drinks are nice.

Yelp
We were greeted by the friendliest staff! We were sat upstairs and the walls had these beautiful drawings and graffiti. We ordered the spritzer drink and a flight of sake. DELICIOUS and goes very well with the soup. The ramen noodles were the perfect texture and the soup was perfectly seasoned. It came with perfectly cooked eggs with creamy yolk that just melts in your mouth. Let's just say we left this place feeling beyond satisfied. Everything was over and above our expectations.

Yelp
Classic Japanese ramen. The thick broth with the in-house lemonade are such a great match

Yelp
Great new ramen place in Hamburg. Both owners have done their homework and travelled through japan learning how to make the best gaijin ramen. They offer different ramen types from tonkotsu over tantanmen to shoyu. Excited to see how these guys develop. UPDATE MAY 2018: Both owners have continued to improve and bring new items to the menu. They take great care to stay authentic and still present their own ramen style, without trying to copy exact styles. Always tastes great.

Yelp
It's really good ramen, but a tiny place that I would only go to with reservations right now. We had reservations for a party of 4, on a Friday night at 6pm. They opened at 6, everyone was waiting outside, and the entire restaurant was full once they opened. We ordered drinks and starters pretty quickly. Great selection of wine, beer, sake, and cocktails. Drinks came and were tasty. The 2x pork bun starters were delicious; the bun was too dry IMO and hard to bite into, but the pork was perfectly done, overall still a good dish. I got the regular Shoyu ramen and it was good. The broth was tasty, not too salty, the pork was perfectly cooked - falls apart when you cut into it, and the egg was just a bit runny - perfect. It was pretty plain ramen though, I wish there was seaweed or more variety of ingredients available. I'm definitely going to try the different styles they offer. The restaurant is uncomfortably small though. We were seated in the upstairs corner and you have to scoot past several chairs and jackets to go anywhere. The downstairs area has 1 door, which seems really awkward to sit down there and be freezing anytime the door opens. Just get reservations early for a good spot I guess.

Yelp
We've ordered the Sapporo and MOMO style spicy ramen. Both delicious and a very tasty broth. The MOMO had just enough spice to it and the chicken hack was delicious. Just maybe don't wear a white shirt cause the red sauce will splash and stain it. The restaurant is small and the tables are very close to each other so you have to squeeze yourself in between to to sit down. With people coming in and out through the front door, the downstairs area can get pretty chilly. Decoration however, was pretty cool. Better make a reservation for Friday night as it can get really crowded.

Yelp
From service to the actual food everything is absolutely delicious! I be been there several times now and the Ramen reminds me of the places back in Toronto. My last visit I ordered the bao buns. One pork and one chicken. Both were delicious but the chicken was very very dry. For the ramen I ordered the Tantantam. The broth is soooo rich and delicious. It almost like a gravy. It also has szechwan paper corns in the broth which leaves your tongue and lips feeling very funny. Almost like they tingle. I don't know how to explain it but this was the only part I didn't like. Otherwise this place is a must try!

Yelp
This was the first time I tried ramen, so I cannot compare it with anything else. However, I can say it was pretty good!

Yelp
The first ramen I have tried was in nyc and I fall in love, I moved to hamburg and was dying to find a good ramen place here and finally I found Momo and I must say must be the best ramen I ever tried

Yelp
I grew up eating Japanese food in Asahikawa city and Hamanaka. I had been missing ramen for a long time, as I have not been back to Japan since 2017. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the quality here at MOMO. Maybe I caught you at a bad time, or ordered the bad things on the menu, because I did not serve authentic ramen or Japanese food. For an appetizer I ordered the momo buns for 8 euros. It mimicked Chinese gun bao, which is traditionally served with pork. I ordered mine with pork but served chicken instead. I was worried I got the wrong order with another table (especially if it was a table who was muslim because they can not eat pork). I told the child waiter quickly however he assured me it was pork, but then retired saying it was chicken (very confusing). The mantou (buns) were old because they were very dry and crumbled in their hands. Normally They Should be steamed fresh before serving so thatthey are soft and warm :) Then menu itself was quite confusing Because it had food from all different parts of asia. From kimchi (Korean) to szechuan pepper (Chinese), I recommend trying Japanese spices like Sansho Japanese Pepper (!). Also they had no green tea! only chinese teas I ordered the shoyu ramen with pork. It was strange because it was served with pork broth not chicken. The soup itself was not balanced - it was overly salty so I could not finish. I took it home and tried it with better soup. The noodles were wrong - they reminded me more of chinese stirfry noodles. Overall the ramen reminded me of instant chinese noodle soup, maybe try mate more Japanese flavors so it is more authentic. I understand that Japan is on the other side of the world, so that's why a lot of people here in Germany think that the food is good. I do not think they are well educated about proper Japanese cuisine.

Yelp
Great food, great service even for non German speaking guests, great beer. The ramen was some of the best I have had! I would eat here again but I leave for Amsterdam to enjoy ladies of the night.
