CASH ONLY! Hidden and delicious ! The momo dumplings are sooo tasty and clearly made with love. Owners are super sweet. This place has been around since 2003!! The combo plate was the move. Only a few options but all delicious. Really cool open downstairs area with tons of space.

Momo’s is a special little place located downstairs under the Stash serving spiced beef dumplings called “Momos”. Some previous reviewers have said great Himalayan food. I say it’s just great food. And the couple that own it (Momo and his wife) are two of the friendliest and happiest people you’ll ever run in to. Winter hours are M to F lunch only.

Friendly couple, Tasty down to earth menu. I got the combo meal with the dumplings and the curry lentils on rice. Everything was tasty and filling. Also remember to try their Chai. It tastes so authentic, spicy and delicious.

Some of the best food I've had, and prepared with such care. The dumplings and combo plates were excellent, as was the chai tea. Filling, delicious, vegetarian if you like, and you can't beat the prices. This is the real deal. I'll be back.

The food is as delicious as the people who own The Momo are lovely! They make fantastic steamed momos, rice and lentils topped with a homemade spice mix that is incredible . Oh and the chai! So good 😊 Definitely worth several visits!

Yelp
This lunch spot is on the basement if secret stash with its own entrance. Food is only available till it runs out so arrive early! The dumplings and sauces are delicious. One plate is enough for two to share.

Yelp
I wish I went here after a long day of skiing because the way their Momo plate had me feeling like I was getting a cozy warm hug in September. DANG. I stopped here on my mini foodie tour of crested butte since I have never had Nepalese Momos before. While the plate was $20 (which is a tad steep),the food and Momo dumplings WERE delicious. This plate had me full 1/2 the way through it. When I shared the momo's with my boyfriend and his friend both of them stopped mid step and were like "f*ck that's good." Anyway, if you're looking for a delicious plate that gives you a warm hug on a cold day-- look no further :)

Yelp
We had the Momo plate and the Rice plate and enjoyed them both. Going down into the restaurant is like entering the mysterious Orient.

Yelp
Small towns normally have only one Nepalese restaurant. Momo serves as a second choice to create some competition, which is always good to elevate cuisine. The food is quite good. The cozy basement ambiance is amazing, fit for an upscale restaurant. They really need to fill that space with customers and expand their hours. Hopefully their popularity grown to allow this. It's nice that they have support from Secret Stash Pizza. I wish they could come up with a way to replace the styrofoam containers with something more sustainable.

Yelp
This place is a must stop for lunch while in town. Hands down the best dumplings I've ever had!! We were only going to buy one plate to share but after tasting it we had to have another!!! We found out about this place through the pizzeria upstairs. They are only open for lunch Mon, Wed and Friday.

Yelp
The food is very good and authentic! The atmosphere is really cute. You place your order and sit where you like. His hot sauce has some kick to it! Cash only

Yelp
Killer Momos, lentil curry to die for, and an ambiance not found for a very long distance.

Yelp
Very friendly service and tasty dumplings. Glad we got the chance to try this restaurant during our visit to Crested Butte. Hope to visit again next trip.

Yelp
Tasty food, good ambiance. It is authentic but way too expensive and very small portions.

Yelp
Hidden under Secret Stash and limited and seasonal hours but SO good! We got a beef momo plate for $11, which could've served 2 and a bowl of stew, lentils and potatoes over basmati rice. We went back to the counter to order more momos and they were sold out by 1pm. Might return before we leave town!

Yelp
I liked my meal there. The restaurant is in the basement of the Secret Stash, and for now it is lunch-only (open 11-3). It's a simple counter, which it may share with a business that sells coffee and pastries. (I think the seating is used by the Stash for overflow in the evening, but the whole room is open during lunch.) The menu is slender, and it only has one vegetarian dish, which I ordered - lentils and potatoes over rice. But the dish was good. The man who is presumably with his wife the co-owner gave me a choice of sweet or spicy sauce, and I took both. So he put the sweet sauce over half of the dish, and put a fairly small portion of the hot sauce on the right, telling me it was quite hot. To be honest, I don't like extremely spicy food, but the hot sauce wasn't that hot - I've had spicier (inadvertently) in Indian restaurants. This hit the spot, and the contrast between the sweet side and the spicy side made for a nice meal. The sweet sauce did come from a jar, but the spicy sauce did appear homemade. This now makes at least three restaurants in this area (two in Crested Butte and one in Gunnison) that serve Himalayan food. I like this one because the prices are reasonable and the portions generous. (I paid eight dollars for a meal big enough for dinner, and when I couldn't finish it they gave me a box.) It's new, and I'd like to see them make it. I'll be back.

Yelp
Killer Nepalese food in the basement of Secret Stash. Don't let the dark lighting and lack of hostess throw you off, walk to the back counter where you can get a heaping plate of food for $10. Take out or dine in, I prefer spicy with two scoops of hot sauce.

Yelp
Hands down the best momo's I have ever had! The homemade chai tea is one of the best as well!

Yelp
My Wife & I discovered Momo's purely by accident and after entering the place, we were immediately intrigued by the ambiance and the "cool" aspects of the place. We proceeded to the counter and ordered. All I can say is WOW, for just a few dollars we were handed enough food to feed four people and the quality is outstanding!! We loved it so much, we are traveling from Westcliffe, Colorado where we live, to Crested Butte this weekend, just to eat at Momo's. Try it out....You'll LOVE the place!!!!

Yelp
This place is awesome. In a town of expensive restaurants, this place is a blessing for the working class of this small resort town. The food is traditional mountain food that will fill you with warmth and nourishment. This is not a tourist desire, this place is for people who actually are a part of these mountains, blood, sweat and tears. Enjoy.
