Google
Great experience as always! I am truly pleased with the selection of gently or minimally processed grass-fed dairy products. Produce section is well stocked with fresh, high quality fruits and vegetables. Good breads. Nice staff.

SG

Google
Best produce, though it's a small store so not huge selection. Despite that, they carry lots of diverse items. Appreciate they provide a few recycling options. This place is more chill and less crowded than other options in the area. I feel like I can go at anytime and not be stampeded.

J B

Google
Great organic store where you can find most things to make a meal. Little pricey but expected from an organic store. The staff are nice and friendly. Plenty of parking. You can register your phone number and can skip having a receipt printed.

renee G.

Google
It’s a pricey, grocery store, but my health is so worth it. Been feeling so much better buying organic and healthy products from moms.

Nizar F.

Google
Wide selection of quality products. All healthy and conveniently organized to help you select what you need as well as learn about new stuff. The space is very welcoming and staff very courteous and hip. Prices are generally higher than a regular grocery store as you'd expect from a boutique place. Yet, do your research since I found a few items cheaper than on Amazon. The cherry on top is the 10-bin recycling corner. Finally, one place where you can bring all those tricky items like cork, phones, and batteries that you struggled to figure out where to put them.

K P

Google
Its odd because this is the biggest store from this chain I've seen but they have less of the things I actually need/buy. For one thing they don't have in house pre-made foods like at the other locations ie: soups, sandwiches, salads etc. Among other things I usually buy at MoM's. It is a well maintained store and the clerks are nice.

Samantha W.

Google
I don’t reeeeally wanna tip off the Clarendon Whole Foods crowd to this place BUT I support Mom’s and want them to get more business. This place is smaller than WF but that means less choice paralysis (totally happy with). The prices are comparable (though I wouldn’t buy avocados for $3.50 a pop!) and it is, most importantly, SO QUIET. Easy parking and nice staff. Love you, Mom’s!!

Yongmei G.

Google
Best prices in the area. Produce is amazing and fresh, always buy lettuce and tomatoes and all that other stuff. The staff are amazing and they always seem to enjoy their job so much. They will even help you load your car! The location is good, there is free parking, and the staff are amazing. I would really recommend going here to shop.

Yelp
Don't rely on my review, since my son is the manager (lol). But I can attest that the price of organic produce is not lower elsewhere, and often times better than other organic purveyors. Not sure if I can reliably report on the excellent service by staff, as some know I am their manager's father. But they always stop to help me find what I am searching for, and I suspect some think I am just a regular customer ( which I am, after all).

Yelp
Mom's Organic Market is not necessarily a go to grocery store, but a good spot when you have specific things in mind. When I stopped in once looking for plastic silverware (random, I know), not only could I not find it, but I also did not recognize many of the items on the shelves. That said, there were dozens of people shopping on a Thursday afternoon, and everything was very well organized with a smooth flow throughout the store. Mom's is a specialty store, I think that is the best word, with solid options depending on what you are looking for. As noted in other reviews, this is a smaller and more curated market. It feels somewhere between a Trader Joes and Whole Foods in terms of atmosphere and selection. It is not meant to replace your big weekly grocery run, but it really shines when you are shopping for high quality organic produce, sustainable products, or plant based alternatives. The bulk food section looked great, and there were lots of local options for dairy, meat, eggs, and more. Parking is easy-ish, especially compared to other grocery stores in the area. Checkout was quick, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful when I had questions. Overall, if you are open to a different kind of grocery experience that is smaller, thoughtful, and centered on organic and local products, Mom's is definitely worth a visit. It may not be your everyday grocery store, but that might be exactly why it works.

Josh R.

Yelp
My review is based off of what I observed and noticed, Love Moms but this location was off in the sense of mannerisms& attention. Nobody asked if I needed assistance nor did the cashier at the end even greet or say bye or nice day, nothing ..... was it because I was the only Latino in store ??? ...... I'd claim racism but I'll see what pursue's again on my next visit this is the only location I've noticed this has happened.... Maybe it's just management here in particular...odd

Yelp
Such fresh produce, a great variety of Whole Foods (rices, nuts, beans), and a select choice of meats. Their soaps and lotions are also high quality. We bought the freshest, tastiest MOM's Turkey my family has ever had and the most delicious crumble cherry pie for this year's Thanksgiving. I make a point to shop here often for many items.
google avatar

Ilene M.

Yelp
This is a well run store. The staff are always helpful and get your question answered. The produce is the best in the area if they have what you are looking for. It is a such a relief and pleasure to shop there

Yelp
This is a grocery store chain I didn't know I needed in DC. If you're from Austin, Texas, this store will reminds you a LOT of Wheatsville Co-Op, with all the environmentally-conscious messaging, amenities, and products throughout the store, and with strong emphasis on local purveyors of quality meat, dairy, eggs, and multiple other products. It's definitely a feel-good store, and with free coffee/tea while shopping, reasonable pricing, freshly baked breads, and a clean, organized shopping experience with helpful employees, there's much to like about this store. Even the Free Library inside the store is a nice touch! The only thing that keeps this location from being a 5-star location is the missing Naked Lunch counter for made-to-order foods and drinks that are typically found in other MOM's locations.

Kristin H.

Yelp
Great market, wonderfully curated natural foods. Tasty freshly prepared foods. Always a pleasure!

Yelp
4 stars for my go-to small organic market in the Arlington area. When it comes to organic food, most people think of Whole Foods as their go-to spots. While I don't mind going to Whole Foods on occasion, parking at the Arlington location is kind of a pain and the store is usually pretty crowded. That's why my wife and I started going to Mom's. Located on the corner of Veitch and Langston, we often pull into the Mom's upper level parking lot and can find a place to park. Even on the 1 or 2 occasions where it is full, there is plenty of available parking on the second level. Now, I've been inside some Mom's in other parts of Virginia and they can go a little overboard with the...how to put this politely...non-mainstream items. Fortunately, Mom's in Arlington is a little more mainstream in that most of its items are just solid organic brands. While this store isn't the big store in the area, I'm almost always able to find what I need and often several different brand options. The employees (and often the store patrons) are good at pointing me in the right direction if I'm searching for something in particular, and my check-outs are often fairly quick and more friendly than at other busier stores. Overall, Mom's in Arlington provides the Whole Foods...food for pretty fair prices without the hustle and bustle. If you are open to trying somewhere half way between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, this would be your spot.

Yelp
Very nice place to shop for some interesting organic groceries, and nice staff and atmosphere. Also not too crowded and hectic. Small as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a sweet little grocery but you need to know before you go that it isn't a normal grocery and can't replace your need for Safeway, Giant, Whole Foods, or Harris Teeter. The selection is too small, and too over-priced. You'd have trouble assembling full meals here or cooking from scratch. They just don't have all the ingredients. If you want to find plant-based options, including frozen foods, they have them. If you want varieties of milks, including goat, coconut etc. they have you covered, though sometimes they have no lactose free milk. The parking is great. Sadly if you bring in your own bag, which they encourage, and it's one of their own bags from your trip to the store the day before, sometimes their cashiers (mine was one way beyond retirement age) will get confused and charge you for the bag again (the bag you bought the day before). They charge 25 cents for a paper bag.

Kylie S.

Yelp
This is my main grocery store. This location is a little smaller than some. It has easy parking and friendly staff and it is never too crowded. I love all Mom's Organic Markets--the produce is so fresh, it is always nicer than other grocery stores, and they have so many great brands. I also like their eco produce bags.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
Favorite grocery store in the area, hands down. There's always parking, lots of bulk food options, and I feel good about buying fresh, organic, and local when possible. Staff is super friendly when I ask questions about anything. The free fresh bread and other samples (not during COVID, but under normal circumstances) don't hurt either ;)
google avatar

Davis K.

Yelp
Very good service. The organizing is never stopping. The only cons is you won't find anything that is unhealthy but happy like a coke or pepsi

Michael R.

Yelp
Mixed feelings about this store! Wonderful products and for the most part great staff. BUT....I was checking out with my toddler. He was hungry as we shopped so I asked a worker if we could open a yogurt and pay for it when we left. I got the OK (and a spoon!). We were checking out, I was putting the groceries onto the counter for checkout, the empty yogurt container was right in the cart and I certainly was going to give it to the clerk. But before I could, a clerk from another register walked over, grabbed the container from my cart, and gave it to the clerk checking me out and said "don't forget this!" or words to that effect. As if I was planning to not pay for it? Really an unnecessary and humiliating thing to do to a customer (with toddler watching the whole thing). I haven't been back since.

Yelp
Mom's fills a critical gap for any resident, particularly apartment dwellers, trying to reduce their waste. I drop off compost, batteries, and all manner of goods they recycle or responsibly dispose of that I cannot get rid of anywhere else. They have a great bulk section for grains, pulses, nuts and spices, which helps keep things cheap and low-waste, and they also have glass bottle milk, again a great waste reduction offering. The quality and price of their proprietary coffee make it a great buy. I will be sad to lose this local chain when I leave.

Keiko M.

Yelp
It's not a massive supermarket but has many good things. If you like local organic and don't need to worry about budget, this is your spot! Variety: Organic and natural food, drink, soap, supplements, cosmetics, etc... Price: Not cheap. Customer service: Good. Parking: Free. Samples: Bread, jam, butter, mango lemonade, healthy probiotics drink, a few kinds of coffee and tea, cheese, snacks, roasted sweeten pumpkin seed, etc... Beer tip: You can't purchase like mixed 6packs like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

Yelp
I do shop here for a few things only. Everything else is either over-priced, poor quality, or a bad value. The employees are nice enough but largely incompetent. Management is clueless. But this place is successful because they have exploited the psyche of the hypocritical bourgeois hippies that somehow think that they are actually helping the planet on whatever level, when in fact 95% of the world's population can't afford to shop at places like this. Real change helps the bottom majority, not the top minority affluent classes. Don't be fooled. Also, if you shop at LIDL you can find the Farmer Focus chicken for several dollars less per pound. Yup, that's right - just a cynical added markup for yuppies who think they're helping. Taken advantage of all the way to the cash register. Then again if you are that naive then you deserve to have your money massaged out of your possession. Politicians like to say that the middle class is being squeezed. They are, but only by themselves, for the hubris of their aspirational self-delusions.

Yelp
Best grocery store in the Arlington area! I honestly am bummed that I have been living so close to a Mom's and never thought about entering until alas, I was driving by one early morning after yoga and had to stop. Mom's really blew me away. It's pretty early on a Sunday and the place is not packed- an amazing feat as the local HT is bustling with people and it creates a 2 hour trip to get groceries. Mom seems to have validated parking for 2 hours and a mini lot out back, which was awesome. You go up the elevator and boom! You are in the produce section. I will say, while some of the produce prices were a bit too high for my current pay check, all the stuff here is good quality. I love a lot of their prepackaged refrigerated items like their spinach pies and their pesto sauce. The aisles are wide so you can really browse and find some new items without someone running you over at every turn. I found some Buddah jalapeno popcorn I have fallen in love with; thank you Mom's for this marriage. The real kicker though, aside from their awesome selection of frozen foods, cosmetics, and packaged items, was their customer service. My mind was elsewhere when I left the store with only 1 out of 2 of my shopping bags. I didn't realize until 30 minutes later when I got home. I called Moms and told them what I had left and the manager immediately said they had it, and were keeping the cold/frozen stuff at the necessary temperatures. I drove right over and everything was safely there, with my bag showing up the second I did. I feel like a place like HT or even Whole Foods, would have never kept onto my stuff like that, or been timely in getting it to me. I think this service alone will make Moms my go to! *Extra Bonus is that Naked Lunch is downstairs from Moms. Stop in to go get some lunch!

Yelp
Stupid MOM's. I always buy more than I mean to. Unlike at nearby Whole Foods, however, this happens at MOM's less so because of prices and more so because of their cleverly curated selection of niche and natural food items that's hard to resist. I wouldn't do all my shopping here (I snap up deals from an enormous variety of grocery stores), but I do enough. The produce section isn't huge-being all organic-but it nonetheless is satisfactory, and I've had much better experiences with freshness and quality from the numerous MOM's I've visited than from other stores. Beyond that, though, the variety of bulk items, unusual special-diet-friendly packaged foods, and the healthiest freezer section in the business keep me coming back. No one told me this new location was opening, but having found it, this is quite convenient. It's probably an easier drive than the one in DC for most of us who live in Northwest. And it isn't that far from a Metro stop, unusual for MOM's. It isn't the biggest MOM's store I've seen, but its reachability is a virtue. Factor in all the positive business practices and generous sales, and you've got yourself a winner.

Yelp
In search of a whole, organic chicken that wouldn't cost an entire week's wages, I walked down to MOM's. And yes, the manager found me exactly what I was looking for. Amen that MOM's has moved into the neighborhood. Small chains like MOMs and its customers force the supermarket corporate chains to shift their shelf space towards healthier choices, and offer hope for nudging the USA's unhealthy, sugar-addicted public to a cleaner, nutritionally- improved food system. I tend to stay away from those middle shelves with high-priced, organic-hype-marketed, value-added food products in cans, boxes, and packaging. I do look for quality basic staples and grains. MOM's won't let you down in this regard. They also offer ocean safe fish, caught in the wild, without long lines that are emptying our oceans. I get oily fish such as sardines, smoked and fresh-frozen fish selections, without worrying that they were unsustainably caught. In a back section, MOM's has all those hard-to-find European cosmetic lines made with herbs and natural materials. I love their great selection of bath salts and natural-ingredient face creams and lotions. MOM's is also very strong in nutritional supplements; their eponymous brandname vitamin and herb supplements are rock solid. I also give props to this store for using the marketplace to bring about a new sense of community, by giving neighborhood residents a site to bring their recyclables such as electric light bulbs, computers, food waste etc. They serve a much needed function, which the County government on its own cannot fill, as a neighborhood recycling and composting center. Good service by staff members and strong offerings. I especially like how spacious and calm this store is. Can I just mention what a contrast from that overly-hyped madhouse down the road which has made its name on organic offerings, oh wholewhat'sitsname-theregoesmypaycheck.

Yelp
YES YES YESSSSSSS!!! It's been rough trying to find the right market in the DC area! I've been an Erewhon girl & farmers market girl- being from California. Everything is so fresh and we have so many local markets, and so many farmers markets almost every day of the week. I love to cook, I cook every single day. I love fresh ingredients, good quality meats etc. The Whole Foods out here sucks, and so does all of the other markets... it's been a challenge to say the least. I finally stumbled on Moms, and they have a lot of the things I've been looking for. I also like that it's on the smaller, more intimate and exclusive side. The produce is fresh and fantastic. The items are hand picked & excellent quality. The poultry is great! Now you can't get any major meats or fresh fish here , and that's okay. We will find other places for that. But how's to have found this gem out here in DC. It's made my weeks that much brighter!!!

Yelp
If you know me, you know my wife and I went hard for Mom's Organic Market. We use to live in Woodbridge and were so happy to have them in Arlington as well. We would recommend it to whoever would hear us speak about them. Needless to say, my grocery budget was majority spent at Mom's and I had no problem with that. I gladly spent my hard-earned money at a place that upheld similar values and responsibilities; until one incident. My wife was excited to see her favorite ice cream on sale, however, at the register, it seemed to not be on sale. This is fine as things happen. However, the way she was talked to was NOT OK. We wrote Scott about the incident and it went further downhill. I refuse to spend my money where I am not appreciated. They lost a dedicated customer for a few cents. I could have decided to go to the other Mom's in the area, however, at the end of the day, I would be supporting a business that could care less about me. As a result, I will never step foot in a Moms. I wish them nothing but the best and I hope others don't have to experience what we went through. Please see the email tag in the pictures.

Yelp
Great always fresh produce, amazing deals, beautiful and consistent customer service -- I love everything about this place. Bonus points for dropping prices lower than harris Teeter. I have been bypassing Whole Foods for this place for the last few months and gladly so!

Yelp
Bigger than the Mom's on Glebe Rd and closer to home. I'll be here often! Cheaper than Whole Foods, organic everything. Except the cashews, I'll buy elsewhere. I found Whole Wheat no boil lasagna noodles. I'm hooked for life! Produce is always fresh and delicious. Thanks, MOM's! And since I'm here during their opening weekend, they're giving out free goodie bags. My foodie home chef side is so happy!

Yelp
Mom's is SO good. I am huge fan -- been going there for two years. It's replaced Whole Foods and Trader Joe's for me. What I love about it: 1. Much better shopping experience than Whole Foods. WF is stressful, full contact shopping. You're constantly jostling/avoiding/accommodating other people. Good luck exploring new foods, reading labels, thinking about trying something new. By contrast, Mom's has wide aisles and fewer people -- food shopping heaven! Relaxing and enjoyable experience where I can breeze through and get what I need. Or stroll and explore and try some new things. Hard to describe how completely opposite and truly enjoyable Mom's is vs Whole Foods. 2. Great service. Mom's seems dedicated to getting you checked out super quickly. As soon as there's two people in line, they call additional employees to the registers and you're out in two minutes. And they are always happy to talk about their offerings or your experience, or what they can do differently. At Whole Foods, the couple of times I've asked to see the manager about asking for a particular item, the vibe is always "how quick can I get rid of this guy?" 3. Extras. I've had an old Blackberry sitting around for a year, didn't want to chuck it in trash because it's hazardous. At Mom's, I recently noticed they had a drop box to safely get rid of old cell phones. Done! Another time, an employee was outside the store offering free tire pressure checks (improves fuel efficiency). And separately, at least half the time, the person loading my bags at checkout offers to carry them out to the car. I need the exercise, but the kindness culture permeates here. 4. Parking. Shouldn't be a factor, but if you've experienced the long line to park in its tiny lot, you'll appreciate the always-available spaces at Mom's. Prices seem comparable to Whole Foods, probably slightly smaller overall selection, but for what I typically buy, they definitely have more varieties to choose from than WF. So glad Mom's came to Arlington.

Yelp
Tried some all natural bath wash, shampoo, and conditioner ($20-30) and realized come summertime it doesn't really work on my sweaty kids and tried to return it without a receipt. Expected a gift card. What did I get? The fcking inquisition. It took FOUR employees including one managerial type repeatedly asking me the same question for 20 minutes before I just left. Another customer witnessing this, finger-waggingly told the staff: "we pay the turbo bucks for customer service, you should take that back." Don't ever buy anything that you're not certain you want there. They're return policy is shockingly strict for their exorbitant pricing. I've paid $200 for two bags of groceries before. I also learned they don't even issue refunds WITH RECEIPTS if it's outside 30 days. What is this? Forever 21? Making grocery store returns shouldn't be time-restricted. People are busy working to afford these grossly overpriced products lol. And businesses should stand by what they sell. Another fun fact, this company wasn't even founded by a mom! The CEO's name is Scott. And while he solicits feedback on their grocery bags, he doesn't actually respond! Thanks for wasting my time AND money, Scott!

Cem B.

Yelp
They are doing much better than before, they keep the store stocked with good quality products.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Mom's. They have a great selection of produce and other healthier food. They also have a good meat selection. I like to get less typical meat like boar and ostrich. Everyone who works here is helpful and friendly. You should note this store does not have everything you would ever need. Moreover, you will end of spending more money here due to the quality of products they have.
google avatar

Lia M.

Yelp
I love MOM's. This is a newer location, and I'm here frequently. They have the best selection of products in the area for those on specialty diets (vegan, gluten-free), especially if you need convenience food. Plus, they have a full range of bath and body care and supplements, which is nice. I like the samples (but don't use the spreads as people double-dip). Staff is friendly and you can find coupons at the customer service counter. Definitely a favorite place to shop.
google avatar

Craig D.

Yelp
(3.75) ~ Good Overall Organic Grocery. It's slightly smaller than other Mom locations I've been to in DMV, but it should carry most of the items the other ones have. Since it is slightly smaller, the aisles can get a little congested if crowded;)
google avatar

Jam C.

Yelp
Not a replacement for Trader Joe's but Mom's is definitely worth checking out. It's somewhere in between TJ and Whole Foods in terms of price. The produce section is great with really fresh vegetables. They look like they were just plucked from the soil a few minutes ago. This is also a great place for those who are lactose intolerant or vegans as they offer a variety of options. However, the overall item selection for me is lacking and I can only really come here for a few specific items. I especially love their packaged dates snack selections. I always still have the need to go to a different grocery store to complete my weekly food shopping.

Yelp
I guess the old adage is right, everything is better at Mom's! For the past couple of years I've become a slave to the Clarendon Whole Foods which unfortunately has become to popular for it's own good. Even in the middle of the day, I pray to the Lord Almighty I my ankle tendons do not get snapped by an overzealous cart user. That is not the case at Mom's Organic at all, they have a large, free parking lot and wide, airy aisles. The customer service is superb -- friendly and helpful like Trader Joe's sans the cheesy Hawaiian shirts. I had asked them if they carried a local soup brand, which they did not but were nice enough to put a note in the system to look into ordering another time. They also took me back to their soup case to recommend their best selling flavors and to point out the ones that do not do so well. Now that's service! All of Mom's products are 100% organic which means that they might not have as large of a product selection as other competitors but I feel good knowing that I can trust what I am putting in my body. They have a good sustainable seafood selection and even found a new favorite white fish to replace my beloved chemical-laden tilapia. Barramundi is where it's at and it's super cheap in the frozen food section at Mom's! If vitamins and supplements are your thing, Mom's has a giant selection and I recently found a few products that I've been hoarding on sale for $7 less than I've been purchasing at Whole Foods and Wegmans. I also love de-stressing in their varied cosmetic aisle. I purchased a dead sea vanilla oatmeal soap that is so luxurious my showers are now 50% longer (so much for the environment). I'm also impressed by their career benefits which include PTO and medical, vision, and dental insurance among other fun perks. A store that cares about practices what they preaches? Unheard of. I could go on for another five paragraphs but I'm getting preachy so...hopefully I'll run into you at Mom's one day!

Yelp
Smh. Thoroughly disappointed with my first visit. GREEN HAIR is a RED FLAG. Followed me around the whole store (--check the video footage of u think I'm lying-Noontime visit on 6.5.18In 2018 we're still playing "hurry up and buy".... really?) not once asked me for assistance. The very tall employee was very helpful. I walked up to the customer service desk but I didn't know what it was (my FIRST VISIT) I just saw what looked like a register and a employee standing there. She asked me what I needed. What happened to HOW CAN I HELP YOU? So I said im looking to checkout (basket IN HAND). Then I felt like I was on a catwalk all eyes on me and everyone on walkie talkies. Wtf. If this is how my people are treated in this location, I'll be sure to spread the word to avoid this place. #DoBetter. Also, it's an organic store. Maybe have the employees LOOK like they aren't lacking nutrients. Everyone looked hangry and miserable.

Yelp
Love love love this store. I know the products won't contain hidden, harmful ingredients like other "wholesome/organic" stores claim. They have great customer service; a large parking lot; and a lot of variety with their products which allows us to find something new to try. We really like the fresh sausages and meats that they have from local farms or surrounding areas. Surprisingly vast selection of delicious cheeses. Produce is always fresh (no limp kale here). The only weird item that I notice they don't carry as often is green beans (or snap peas for that matter). I guess they only carry them if they're in season?? Worth a stop if you haven't been. Good selection of frozen goods and alternatives to dairy ice cream if you need!

Yelp
Open during Covid-19 back to regular hours. I thought odd but when I ventured in at 7pm and there were only 5 customers in the entire store. Store employees wearing mask and gloves, check out good line for social distancing. Only thing there was no sign to show if carts and baskets were sanitized. But when I walk in they had gallon size of sanitizer - I had my gloves on took 2 pumps and sanitized my carry basket inside and out in no time at all. They have one entrance too.

Yelp
I live a block away and find it convenient to shop for anything I need. I love the selection of produce, supplements and vitamins. You do get what you pay for: organic and high quality. Employees are very friendly and helpful!

Yelp
They are consistently well-stocked, staff is helpful and friendly, very good range of products. Excellent addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Has lots of cool stuff you won't really find anywhere else, but is also a little more expensive than other stores. It's not super crowded or hectic like other places in the area (ahem Whole Foods), and there is plenty of parking in the lot behind or in the attached garage (validated in-store).

Yelp
Just arrived and am already enjoying great customer service. One rep offered to weigh (tare) all of my bulk containers while I shop. They make it so easy to buy bulk and reduce plastic waste. The rep also informed me about Arlington's new policy to stop recycling all glass (what??)! Glad they're informed and keeping the community informed. I'll shop at Mom's as much as I can.

Yelp
This is my love letter to MOM's. I LOVE THIS PLACE. This is no exaggeration. While everyone is clamoring and dying in the long, long lines at Whole Foods and Trader Joes on the weekends, I've found my special place in Mom's Organic Market! As a huge Classical music fan, I love how they play beautiful classical music while you shop. It's so soothing and relaxing. I feel like I'm walking in food heaven. No crowds or long lines! To be honest. I cannot afford anything. I mostly browse. It's also supposedly 7% cheaper than Whole Foods (so says their signs...). And has all the healthy organic and very delicious quality goodness that you want from your grocer. PLETHORA OF FREE SAMPLES. If you thought Costco samples were good, wait til you come here!! They don't skimp! Huge slices of bread, cookies, crackers at every other aisle. Fruit to try and sample. A spotlight on jellies and delicious jams. Fine cheeses to nibble on and green juice to sip while you shop in luxury. (samples must be a trade off for a lack of a hot bar; but WF's hot bar is too expensive anyways). They also serve free cups of water and coffee in biodegradable cups. TIP: Come early on the weekends. The samples run out by late afternoon. Their wine and beer selection is massive, as is their yogurt selection! all kinds of varieties! The fruit and veggies are very fresh. It's not a huge produce aisle, but it has all that you need. To top it all off, they recycle everything here! Bring your old shoes, your old batteries, kid's juice packs, compost, plastics, old cell phones, wine bottles, corks -- everything. They have labeled recycle bins near the cashiers.

Yelp
I LOVE this store! I got the best "power" snack (see pics), and got to recycle a lot of different items I read they recycle (batteries, snack bags, odd plastic bags, soap bottle pumps, food composting). I can't wait to go back for some sustainable seafood!

Yelp
I love the store. I wish their reusable bags were better though. Although they allow you to switch them out, it doesn't help when the bag breaks with your groceries still in tow. The naked lunch is amazing too. Their specialty items such as oils and lotions are more expensive than they actually need to be and they price match with stores who are either more expensive or don't even carry their items. The selection varies as well.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite market. MOMs provides consistent professional and friendly customer service and are price competitive.

Yelp
We love Mom's. Good service, good products and good environment. They hire wonderful people and everyone seems happy to work there. Prices are reasonable. Yes a bit expensive clmpared to Shoppers but we think cheaper than Whole Foods. Also they have lots of sales so very good deal plus everything is organic so we can rest assured that everything we buy is healthy for our family.

Yelp
Love this little market. The selection is decent considering the size of the store, the staff is always helpful, and I feel that all the items are rather carefully vetted. I will say, however, that the configuration of the store is a bit awkward. Incidentally, they carry the BEST berries you can find around here, including from the farmers market. My berries from Wholefoods always have or develop mold very quickly. Not these. Not ever. I love that they sell RO water, too. If you've ever read the EWG's water report for Arlington, you'd understand why I stock up on the stuff--and the first gallon is always free!

Yelp
WE love Mom's and are so grateful to have such easy access to this store. The staff is informative and always so willing to assist. Their produce is always fresh and fairly priced. Complimentary snacks, teas and coffee are offered. Water refill is very much appreciated. Bag credit. Bring your compost. Recycle with them. Shopping bags are available upon checkout; look in the bin to your right and drop yours if you have enough. Free boxes and packing material upon availability. Mom's stood firm by us as we expanded our menus at home over the years and educated ourselves about the environment, about our community and got conscious of our impact on the environment as consumers. Don't be intimidated by the music; your body will thank you and the exchange is very fair if you do the math correctly. It's a WIN-WIN situation and we THANK YOU.

Yelp
Huge parking area, only down side was the validation didn't work in the store so I had to pay 2 for a 20 min visit. Lots of great options in cheese, legumes even grind your own peanut butter. It's a bit pricey but you are getting quality and huge variety. Speaking of which, I wanted to try getting a natural deodorant and I had so many options to chose from. You can definitely find what you're looking for here in the ways of organic and healthy options.

Yelp
I won't bother again. It just lacks selection. For example, I stopped by to buy croissants, a basic bakery item, and was told they didn't sell them. Okay, then. :-O

Yelp
They have a good selection of products but poor customer service. I went to their location in Alexandria and asked for assistance from a store employee. The manager decided it was much more important for this employee to be bagging groceries than helping me. When I complained to the manager, he told me to keep my voice down so that I wouldn't disturb anyone (I was not shouting but apparently it was too loud for him). I left without buying anything and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The MOM's customer service lead basically told BBB that my complaint was ridiculous and that she did not want me as a customer. I haven't been to any of their stores since then and that was ten years ago.
