"Mom’s Touch was established in Seoul in 1997 before landing in Los Angeles in 2021. Though it is a relative newcomer to Los Angeles’s wing scene, Mom’s Touch has earned its place among the greats with its 24-hour marinade and a crispy exterior that is good on its own or doused in sauce." - Eater Staff

"Successful South Korean fried chicken chain Mom’s Touch has landed in the U.S. The menu is fairly simple, with tenders, wings, and sandwiches as the main chicken options, each featuring ultra-crisp Korean-style batters and a slew of creative flavorings, like a sweet-spicy glaze and even green onion and cheese dust." - Eater Staff

"Star South Korean fried chicken chain Mom’s Touch is the latest busy chicken company to set up shop in greater Los Angeles, joining the ranks of notable places like Kyochon, Bonchon, and BBQ Chicken. The restaurant’s first stateside outlet landed in Gardena in late June. Mom’s Touch quietly opened at the Gardena Plaza on the corner of Normandie Avenue and Redondo Beach Boulevard, and ownership already has plans for future spaces in Long Beach (slated for the fall) and in the City of Industry next year. The fast-casual restaurant already has 1,300 locations across Asia (South Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore) and is expanding to the U.S. with financial backing from Waba Grill — the local rice bowl chain with 130 outlets of its own in Los Angeles and Orange County. Fans will know Mom’s Touch from its menu of fried chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, and chicken wings. All of the chicken is marinated for 24-hours in a Cajun spice blend that includes red pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika before being hand-battered and deep-fried. The chain’s signature chicken sandwich gives diners a choice of skin-on thigh meat or breast meat, and comes with lettuce, onion, pickles, and sweet-savory “special” sauce on a brioche bun. The special sauce can be swapped out for a garlic sauce or a Sichuan-inspired “fuego pepper” sauce. The chicken wings come in a half-dozen different flavors including a few wild cards, like the “cheesy onion” and “apple zing,” while the chicken fingers are served with a choice of sauce (barbecue, ranch, chipotle mayo, or a Louisiana-inspired one with cayenne pepper). Rounding out the menu are french fries, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. With one location open and two more in the works already, it seems to be only a matter of time before Mom’s Touch joins others like Bonchon as staple Korean fried chicken spots around Los Angeles — even if the city already is awash in fried chicken sandwiches, wing spots, and tender places. LA just can’t get enough chicken right now. The new Mom’s Touch in Gardena is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily." - Cathy Chaplin

Original chicken sandwich was pretty darn good, had good flavor, tried two different types of wings, apple zing was REALLY good had a good balance of heat & sweetness to them but the sweet chilli... tasted absolutely horrible I've had sweet chili wings b4 and those were not we had they were unedible so we tossed them away (wasted 12 bucks not happy) chix fingers with habanero aioli & the chipotle sauce were by far super delicious, Cole slaw tasted good. Overall it was pretty good. 2 chicken sandwich, 2 orders of wings, 1 order of fingers, Cole slaw & mash potatoes cost us almost 60 bucks... Was worth it?

ok, Moms touch Gardena has a spicy chicken sandwich had to come check it out. The place is clean and welcoming, and the staff is polite. I went with the fuego chicken sandwich along with cream corn. For the drink, they have their own homemade mango green tea. ok, the sandwich was good. Chicken was juicy inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce they put was spicy, but only had some on parts of the chicken... lettuce and onions give it nice fresh crunch to the crisp of the chicken. Bread was potatoe bun, which is not my favorite, but went well with the sandwich unexpectedly. Cream corn was good, but I prefer the Mexican kind with cheese, butter, and slight mayo rather than just cream. The mango green tea was superb a tad bit on the sugary side but was satisfying nonetheless. Decent price and good food. I would recommend checking it out.

Was looking for a place to catch up with a friend, and was interested in Korean fried chicken! It was just okay. I had higher expectations since I loveeeee Korean fried chicken. The chicken sandwich was kinda like a fancy chick fila sandwich, but the price was pretty reasonable! The wings, on the other hand, were not. For 4 pieces, it was $8.25, and the wings themselves were not as crunchy as I was looking for, and the taste of apple zing just tasted like the spicy bonchon flavor. The mashed potatoes were yummy, and the coleslaw was terrible. I love coleslaw, and this just had no flavor. It tasted like I was eating wet cabbage. Friendly service though, and very helpful on advising me on what to order. I don't think I'd go back though.

Heard about a Korean chicken place just opening so we decided to try it. Mom's Touch offers substantial sized wings/drumettes, chicken sandwiches, and chicken strips. We decided to try the sweet chili, cheesy garlic, garlic soy, and fuego wings. The fuego was the hottest but it wasn't too unbearable. If you can handle that lingering burn on your lips, then you might like this one. It wasn't hot enough to make me sweat, which is a good thing. I like when I can still taste my food. The sweet chili was milder for the more sensitive tongues with the garlic soy being the mildest of the ones we tried. I have to say the cheesy garlic was my least favorite. It was more like a dry rub rather than a sauce so if this is your preference, you might really enjoy it. The fries were super yummy with a crispy double fried crunch. Mmm! 😋 It's best to eat them hot. Grab lots of napkins because your fingers will get covered with those yummy sauces!

Friendly service, can customized chicken sandwich, food delivered quickly after ordering. Parking was very easy even when it seem crowded. The chicken in the moms original sandwich was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The creamy garlic is quite mild. The fries potions are plenty, the fries have a battered which makes it crunchy. Wish there were a drive thru option, hoping future location will have drive thru.

I was super excited to try to place out after finding out that they opened a location in Gardena, but left very disappointed. Food: I tried all 3 of their sandwiches on the menu (all with thigh meat), original wings and fries. To first timers, their “original” flavor has a kick so be aware for those people that can’t handle spicy food. I was really impressed with their moms original wings and was satisfied with their original sandwich EXCEPT their menu says that their sandwiches are served on a “baked buttery brioche bun.” My sandwich was served on a cold, dry, potato bun. It tasted like it was taken right out of the freezer, placed on a grill for a quick heating. It was so dry that I ended up just eating the meat inside and throwing away the bread. I wasn’t all that impressed with their creamy garlic or fuego sandwich (fuego sandwich is basically a chicken drenched gochoojang (Korean chili paste) + sweet chili sauce. I would highly recommend ordering the original sandwich with thigh meat out of the 3 sandwich choices. Also, if you ask for ranch sauce, they legit give you Ken’s steak house ranch, not even house made.. and their “Louisiana” sauce is straight up Tabasco sauce… Cleanliness: Sticky countertops, dirty bathroom with no paper towels. I understand if they are understaffed or super busy but literally saw all the workers just sitting in front of the cash register just chilling. Seemed like the management really trained their employees well. All in all, if you live nearby, it’s may be worth it to give them a try. If you do decide to give this place a try, I recommend getting their moms original wings and original thigh sandwich. But if you live far, don’t bother. It’s really nothing special.

This place opened up pretty recently, and it's really good! I got the MoM's Original Chicken Sandwich combo and Hot Apple Zing Wings. The sandwich was juicy and flavorful. The wings are big and crispy, even when it's drenched with sauce. They give you a generous amount of fries for the price. And if you want a dipping sauce for the fries, I'd recommend the Habanero Aioli. Happy eats!

I have been here 4 times and have had a mix of food experiences. Last time my chicken was barely even room temperature let alone hot. Today, I requested that my Fried Chicken be served hot (stove-wise). All our food came out smoking hot, which I totally loved! I hate asking because it should be the norm. The flavors of the chicken, cream corn and fries are so spot on! I will be back!!
