"Housed in a villa dating from 1925, this restaurant is chic, almost opulent – the wonderfully lively atmosphere is complemented by friendly, attentive and adept service. To the side is Raw Bar, and there is an open kitchen. The menu features French cuisine, including oysters, lobster cocktail, offal dishes and high-quality barbecued steak. Good, exclusive wine selection." - Michelin Inspector

Upscale and elegant, this restaurant delivers a truly refined dining experience. The menu is extensive and carefully curated, offering a wide variety of dishes that are both beautifully crafted and full of flavor. The wine selection is impressive, with options to perfectly complement any meal. Service is outstanding—attentive without being intrusive—and adds to the overall sense of quality and sophistication. As a Michelin-recommended restaurant, it more than lives up to its reputation. Whether for a special occasion or simply to indulge, you will not be disappointed.

Christine and I married on 12-12-12 @ 12, decided to celebrate our anniversary at Mon Amie Maxi. Upon entering the ultra elegant dining room, we were whisked away into a vortex of convivial energy that Parisian bon vivants would truly cherish. Blessed by affable maitre d' Cyril with a very romantically ensconced table, Lissy our server was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Christine's foie gras terrine was exquisitely delicious, and my onion soup and roquefort iceberg lettuce wedge were respectively richly robust and pungently snappy. Christine's lobster ragout was an epicurean delight, and the generous cut of lava-stoned grilled ribeye was so tender, delicious and juicy ~ that I ordered 2! Sharing Spirit with world-class Sommelier Anne Catrin Hake that we had the pleasure of meeting at the venerable Zenzakan 12 years before, her genuine heartfelt kindness was the Grand Finale for our 13th anniversary. Anne intimated that the restaurant will open a Southern exposure terrace next Spring for under parasol dining in the afternoons, and al fresco feasting beneath the stars. If Mon Amie Maxi could be airlifted to New York 's 5th Avenue, it would be an instant hit due to its culinary excellence, elegant French brasserie ambiance and impeccable service. Christine and I strongly recommend Mon Amie Maxi for ALL occasions, even just celebrating the wondrous gift of life itself.

We were just passing by and noticed the beautiful chandeliers in the windows. It looked so romantic and chic that we decided to stop in for a cocktail. The place was so cozy and inviting that we ended up staying for dinner. The service was great, and the french music made the evening even more enjoyable and romantic 🥰 The food was absolutely delicious, I'll share some pictures of what we ordered!

I visited here for the first time last night and have to admit it was a great experience. Service was quick friendly and professional. Food comes out really quick both appetiser and the main course. It was fresh and delicious except the lobsters that have no taste at all and I find that a pity and that’s why I can only give 4 stars, compare to the price I expected more. We were happy though with the rest and also the dessert. Price range is a bit higher than anywhere else but definitely would love to come back and try other dishes they offer. The toilet was way too dark and could be cleaner. Overall was a good experience and we had a wonderful evening together.

Happy atmosphere created by the waiter. The food is just amazing! Only things to improve are the bread will be good if it’s warmer and softer, and oysters can be more plump, still taste good though

Google
Great experience and relaxed atmosphere, good food, very friendly and attentive service. Comfortable seating, surprisingly low lighting by design Selection of appetizers, fish/seafood dishes, and meat dishes. Oysters were delicious. Many desserts, including tarte Tatin - highly recommend it

Yelp
We dined at this French Brassiere and Raw Bar based on the recommendation of the concierge at the JW Marriott. Of the four dinners during our trip, we probably enjoyed this one the most given our connection with our server and the fun/upbeat atmosphere of the restaurant. We had to start with the classic French Onion Soup au Gratin, which was served with a thick layer of cheese and was piping hot. Great way to warm up on a rainy evening. Our server suggested I try the Shrimp Salad with green beans & avocado. It seemed like an odd combination of ingredients, but oh was I wrong. All the flavors and textures popped. The butterfly shrimp were incredible. As someone who loves Mussels, I met my match with the entrée size bowl served in creamy white wine sauce and with french fries. I made a gallant attempt to finish it, but fell short. It was a feast and cost only 34 Euros. My daughter met her match with the French Minced Potato Casserole au Gratin. Super rich and delish. The portion was huge, almost appropriate for family style dining. I wish I could bring this restaurant back to the United States.

Yelp
Almost a perfect evening. The food is delicious. The seafood and escargot were cooked to perfection. Everything we ate was perfect. I just always call out when seafood is not over-cooked. The ambiance is elegant, warm and luxurious. The service is experienced and informed. My only complaint, although small, was the wine pour. My husband does not drink much and I don't want to drink a whole bottle by myself, so we ordered by the glass. The pour was tiny; more like a pairing pour. I was going to mention it, when he poured again. So, I thought maybe it was a regional difference in service. When the bill came, they charged for every tiny pour. I don't know if this is a house policy or if the waiter made that decision. It didn't ruin the evening, it was just the only disappointment. You decide if that matters.

Yelp
We recently visited a friend in Frankfurt and asked her to chose a nice place. She chose well!! We had a delightful and delicious dinner. Two of us had a huge shrimp cocktail and lamb cutlets. We all had appetizers, cocktails, and a main and the bill for three of us was only €212 including tip!! The ambiance, decor and service were excellent. We live in San Francisco, so our restaurant bar is quite high.

Yelp
Had such a bad experience there: I went with my girlfriend to have a little aperitif before going to our boiled restaurant for dinner. I ordered two Aperol Spritz. On the menu it said Aperol: €7 The drinks were good and we had more one so I ordered another round, and then the bill. The bill came in with a €52 balance. I was a bit surprised and asked the waiter why it's so high, who told me that the Aperol itself costs €7, but the Spritz costs another €6. I found this pricing strategy a bit unusual and deceiving and hence asked for the manager. The manager came, steaming, and proceeded - without even listening to my argument - to yell at me in a condescending and arrogant tone that if I cannot afford to drink here (?!) I shouldn't and if I don't like their pricing that it's my problem and I shouldn't come there in the first place (!!) This is ridiculous behavior from a manager, but yeah that's the last time I am visiting that place.

Yelp
French food this is not. So many complaints. The husband's sazerac had a fly in it. Then a gnat landed in my French 75. Their rotisserie was down, so no duck. My quiche was bizarre and didn't have any egg in it, and the h's boeuf bourguignon had no real flavor. I felt a little bad because the waiter asked if we didn't like our food (since so much was left), but I just explained away that we'd been eating so much all day.

Yelp
French, seafood, expensive, downtown Fft. It belongs to the Mook Group which means people either love it or hate it. As with other restaurants in the group it's a statement kind of place... see and be seen, and not cheap. On to it though. The decor and ambiance is perhaps just a tad more Las Vegas than real French. Lovely old building they brought back to life (they deserve some credit). Was there with the oenophile, Mrs, S. Foie Gras app was outstanding. Boudin burger was a clever id.Just the plain Boudin Noir would have been better though. Wines were good. Neither over or under priced. Selection as befit the price of entry. Mains: Mrs S had veal cutlet with roquefort and I had lambs leg with ratatouille. Food was well prepared, no complaints. Our tab was around €155. We had a cremant, a sazerac, and a bottle of wine from the mid range. Nice experience but not the best experience I've had for that money.

Yelp
Wow! This place was great. Went with a group of friends after a long week. We were totally swept away. The food and service were both exceptional. The sommelier was fantastic. Definitely should check out the escargot and tartar!

Cathy J.

Yelp
seriously, this is the worst service I had ever had, and it made me feel shame about this French restaurant. We ordered the seafood, and after finishing 80% of the seafood, we saw a worm climbing out from the trashed shell. We called the manager, and he explained almost 10 minutes, saying it is because of the oyster and they cannot control it. What the fuck? The manager refused to apologize. Do not come unless you do not care your health

Yelp
Late supper, recommended by Roomers Hotel staff. Courteous, professional service, super relaxed/borderline slow... 40+ minutes between starter & main, then another 15 after I requested the bill; perhaps my expectations aren't aligned, U.S. v. Europe. Foie gras made the wait worthwhile, mostly.

Yelp
Hi guys! It was a great evening! Everything was perfect and the athmosphere was awesome. But of course prices are high and food and drinks were quiet expensive. Quality and execution of dishes was well done! So it is worth its price! Cheers

Yelp
I wonder why all previous commments are good. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. After my third visit I finally decided to never enter this place again. We were a table of 6 last night. To start of with the service: extremely unfriendly and arrogant guy. No smile or a touch of friendliness on his face. Two of us had the Tartarte, which I had to send back: The texture was equvalent to puree and very salty. The tuna steak had a miodocre to low quality. Highlight of the evening was the fish soup ( Bouillabaisse ). uneatable soup with a taste of fish soup can concentrate. I am most likely not the only one thinking like that. The venue was not even half full on a Saturday evening.

Yelp
The view from a French living in Frankfurt on Mon Amie maxi : they do well in taking the bad part of Parisian restaurants (arrogant service and very expensive for what we get)...but they miss taking the good part of it...: the food is OK, but not great, and price are much too expensive for what you get. Besides, some of the dishes that we tried are certainly NOT the original French way, they just pretend to be...

Yelp
Ein Restaurant der typischen einheimischen Arroganz-und Wichtigtuerliga. Mittelprächtiges Essen und kaum Atmosphäre!

Yelp
