One of my favorite plays to stay and visit for drinks or dinner. Golf is great. The Miracles for Kids Gala is always beautiful here each year too.

Lovely place, good food n drink. But very expensive.

We love this place and go frequently. One of our favorite destinations and hotels. Our favorite rooms to be in are the Fireside rooms, the kids love making s'mores!

This place is amazing. The views alone are spectacular but the burger at Club 19 very very good! Love this place

The Waldorf at Monarch Beach is a pretty amazing place. Just note a couple of the restaurants don't open until Wednesday so if you're there Monday or Tuesday you may want to think about dinner reservations off property

Pros : Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice food, great amenities Cons: Very expensive, spotty service. Nice place with friendly staff. Several times staff talks to each other instead of attending to customers especially in the restaurants other than Bourbon steak. I asked for an extra blanket at night the request seemingly fell into a black hole, unacceptable for a 5 star resort. It's a beautiful place with 5 star amenities and pricing but honestly 3-4 star service which for the price makes it 4 star value at times. With that said this is a special place.

Had an AMAZING stay here! My husband and I decided to use our (well, not our--HIS lol) Amex points towards this hotel in order to celebrate our first Wedding anniversary! AND WE HAD THE BEST TIME The customer service was some of the best we've ever had! The hotel staff was always so friendly, polite, and pleasant! We had awesome interactions with everyone -- from the valet attendants who opened our car doors to the workers that cleared up our plates in the room. The hotel rooms were stellar! The hotel room was spacious and well equipped. We loved all the little special touches that were in our room! We were especially excited about the anniversary gift that we got upon arrival (wine, desserts, a hand written card), the plush robes and slippers, and the s'mores kit that we could use at the fit pit outside. We had so much fun! The TV also had Chrome cast so we were able to watch Netflix on the TV using our phone. We also really enjoyed the bath tub and shower! And the Aesop products. Amazing! The hotel itself is so beautiful. We had so much fun wandering the hotel and looking at all the pretty fountains. It was so aesthetic! We also loved that there was a path that led to the beach (it's not too long of a walk). But there's also a tram that can take you around the resort! For the first time, we ordered room service! Food was not superb or anything, but it was good food and I'm sure better than most other room services. We definitely enjoyed our meals. Lastly, we LOVED the athletic club/gym. Note that to get to the gym, you'll need to enter the spa. From there, there's a QR code to login and then you go to the bottom floor. The athletic club was impressive! So well equipped. Also good to know that the spa has a water bottle filling station on the top floor as well as the bottom floor (right by the gym). There are also water bottles available to grab at the entrance of the gym. Our stay here was SO relaxing and so beautiful! We are absolutely considering returning for another celebration! WE LOVED IT P.s. the restaurant Bourbon Steak is AAMAAZINGGG Highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!

My wife does all the family trip organizing and she somehow had us stay at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort on our last night during our family trip to Southern California during our Fall Break in Georgia. We were amazed by the resort and enjoyed our stay very much. From the excellent service to the lush rooms, from the wonderful pool to the outstanding location, everything was to the highest standard as one can expect from a Waldorf Astoria location. Walking distance to Salt Creek Beach which is definitely a worthwhile visit in the morning if you want to see some solid waves and experienced surfers going at it. I have heard they have a trolley to another beach, but we didn't have time for that during our one night stay since we were flying out of LAX the next day. Short drive to some restaurants off property such as LUA Asian Fusion Eatery which was excellent and only a few minutes away. We used the valet service and the in and out privileges were convenient and simple. I would rate Waldorf Astoria among the best resort properties in the world and give them a well deserved 5 stars! Thank you for a truly magical stay for our entire family!

We love our tradition of Christmas Day, sitting by the fire and having a cuppa tea at the Waldorf. Have a great store called part and parcel. so many delicious snacks, as well as sandwiches, cappuccinos, ice, creams, takeaways, and tons of unique little gifts.. we always find something that we can take back home and share with our family . It's a great place together. Sitting by the fire with tea as we love to do.

What an amazing hotel. Great drinks and great food. The hotel was very clean and very well taken care of. The hotel staff was great too. Always looking after you. Making sure your time here is the best. There was a lot of very nice people at the hotel that we had the opportunity of meeting. If you're looking for an excellent experience in an excellent hotel, you need to go here. They are top-notch.

This is a great resort restaurant and hotel located in Dana point with private access to the beach and a wonderful golf course. The service is excellent, and the restaurants are exquisite. The holiday season comes to life with Santa Claus, roaming the balconies of breakfast and the music playing in the lobby. Many of CORPORATE parties with ladies and men dressed to their best is a wonderful experience.

This is one of the top three world-class resorts in Dana Point and Laguna Beach and it's phenomenal! I love sitting at the bar or at a table in the lobby lounge and having snacks. It's a great place to meet people!! I'm always excited to stay here and the rooms are so beautiful and cozy!! I will send pictures tomorrow

The sunset views are spectacular. With a front row seat at the beach, make that a priority. A drink at 33° North makes it nice too. The service from reception, concierge, housekeeping, valet, cafe and restaurants is top notch. The rooms are luxuriously appointed too. For these reasons and more, I like to come back here when I can. Christmastime is a festive occasion.

Decided to head down to Monarch Beach for a quick weekend getaway. I think the last time we were in the area was for a friend's wedding at the Ritz. Pulled up and was amazed at how beautiful the property was. Checking in was quick and efficient and agent was super friendly. We were exhausted after waking up at 4 and headed down to SD before driving back up to the Waldorf. Needless to say, we crashed shortly after heading to the room. We stayed in a garden suite in the north tower which had a partial view of the ocean (though a ways away). Was amazed at the sheer size of the suite. Had plans to dine at the Bourbon steakhouse but we were still full from lunch we ended up canceling the dinner. Woke up the next morning and had bfast at Aveo. Our waitress was super friendly and provided a few great options. We had an exceptional stay and would definitely come back if we needed a semi local getaway. Only thing I'd change would be for them to increase the water pressure or add a rainfall shower head in the shower as more than half of it goes unused. Also a slight ding to housekeeping as the unused half of the shower floor was a bit dirty as I could see hair in the back corner.

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach is a beautiful resort, right by the ocean. It has beautiful spacious rooms, great views, golf courts and a private beach. There are several restaurants, a spa, and nice pools. The staff is very attentive and It's definitely a great spot for a relaxing getaway.

Everything went well... what a joyous snd relaxing time we had... kudos to Sammi at the front desk Ryan at the steakhouse Allison at the beach club and extra special shout out to Christian also at the beach club. I was impressed with the hostess who actually took charge of a situation as well... Rooms are so comfortable and the whole property is extremely well maintained. Didn't lift a finger and that's what "getting away " should be... do yourself a favor and splurge on this A+ operation... worth every penny

I was an assistant for a wedding and it was my first time at this hotel. I really love the and the palm trees freezing through the beautiful books. At the café I got the Cubano sandwich that was toasted and cappuccino. One mocha. Absolutely delicious so glad I got it. The hotel staff is very nice and all the groups have a balcony.

Love the monarch!!! This place is a wonderful weekend getaway. Everyone is super nice. The hotel portion is beautiful! The food is delicious. The pool is amazing. There's a golf course/club on site so you can golf too. The rooms are great! The rooms are spacious. Everything was clean when we arrived. It was located in a great spot. There is a private beach where you can take the "trolley" from the hotel. When you arrive at the beach there is a restaurant where you can order drinks We took the train from Santa Barbara and did a quick Lyft ride over to the hotel.

Spent the afternoon here for a presentation. This hotel is beautiful, and the staff was friendly. The meeting room was nicely laid out, audio and lighting was well done, and the temperature was comfortable. The coffee and tea station was typical for these events, nicely stocked with a variety of organic teas, honey, lemon, and sweeteners. Snacks were ok with nuts, granola, m&ms, etc. Desserts were very good. The chocolate cake was moist and not too sweet. Lemon bar was tangy but a bit too sweet. Didn't try the cookies, but there was a nice variety and they looked really good. The most annoying thing was trying to shoo a couple flies that somehow got into the meeting room. I realize there's not much they could do about that, but it did detract from the experience.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a weekend getaway. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly staff- from valet to check in, to dining experience. Everyone was exceptional. The staff here truly makes a stay worth while with their amazing hospitality. We enjoyed exploring the grounds of the resort. The landscape and views were truly amazing. They had trolleys that will take you to the private beach club and that was a lovely experience. The hotel rooms were also nice. They had Aesop's soap, lotions and body wash so that was nice! We were on the first floor, there's a nice little private fire pit on the patio. I loved the comfortable robes they had, except mine had a stain on it and my OCD made me cringe a little .. I hope they wash it after every visitors use and not just rehang them.. I wish our experience leaving was a great as arriving. I have to say, the valet staff in the morning were not as friendly. We saw staff standing around while we were carrying our heavy bags waiting to pick up our car, and they didn't ask if they can help us with anything. We eventually got our turn at the valet window to retrieve our vehicles and my valet guy wasn't very helpful or friendly. Another valet came by and offered me water though. For being a top resort, my expectations were that the welcoming experience was gonna be from arrival to departure but that was a mild set back/ let down. Still a nice resort though.

This luxury brand affiliated with the Hilton portfolio lineup is a solid choice...if price is not a factor. It is a place filled with beautiful cars, decor and people and is certainly a place to see and be seen by some of SoCal's very upper class or those that would like to be seen as such. It is beautiful with some nice public spaces, a very scenic golf course, and a couple of pools along with a shuttle down to the beach area. The rooms were modern without being overly cold and sterile and the views from the lobby deck overlooking the bay were great to gaze at and get lost in thought. All of this is exactly what I would expect from a property sporting the Waldorf Astoria name. What Keeps this at 4 stars for me (instead of 5) is that the stratospheric pricing of everything here is not quite in line with the experience I received. I am a Hilton loyalist with lifetime diamond status which normally gets me a lot of perks. This time, I was staying with a corporate work group who booked my room for me so I was here a bit incognito which gave me a shot at seeing what one would normally get without upgrades and status. What I found was that the rack rate for a standard, no frills, no view room with 2 beds was in the low 4 figures. Using discounts such as a AAA member discount would get you down to about $900/night. Ouch! As another comparator, a cocktail at their bar or pool was about $26-30 and a bottle of wine at their pool that you can purchase at a retail store for $16 was on their menu for $72 (and those prices do not include gratuity). I am used to seeing bottles of wine customarily marked up by 100-200% on restaurant menus but the markups here are in the range of 500% which is really steep. Maybe I am just a cheapskate but for those types of prices, I would expect that my room might be decorated with materials from an endangered species, my drink might be made from ingredients that can only be procured by hand-picking them off of a Tibetan mountaintop, or I would be assigned a personal butler who could unpack my luggage and wash my car for me before each use. Since none of this was the case, it is just hard for me to justify staying here simply for the view unless someone else is paying for it. Don't get me wrong, my stay was fine and the place is lovely. And I would certainly be happy to stay here again as long as I am on an expense account. I just can't go full on 5-stars for that kind of money without getting a better return on my investment.

Wow had a great massage. First time here the massage was for 60 minutes with upgraded hot stones and cdb oil wow what an experience. I liked it better than the resort at pelican Beach. Great property, had lunch at club 19 it was great service and food. Would highly recommend.

Lovely experience yet again at the Waldorf! Everyone I encountered was beyond wonderful. I wish I could give a proper shout out to everyone who made our stay magical but we'll be back asap to enjoy life and learn names again! Checkin was a breeze. Room lovely with a perfect view of the Christmas tree and pool. Trolley rides to the beach club were great. Our driver even gave us some brief history while driving us to the beach club. The beach club was lively but not in an overwhelming way. Easily managed a fire pit table as we watched the sunset. The patrons at the bar and bartenders made dinner lovely as we transitioned inside. Got a couple surprises as I celebrated my birthday. Yay! Robbie was great! Learned about a tequila a local resident makes they stock at the bar. Enjoyed a beachside bike ride before breakfast at Aveo. We tend to do a la carte instead of the buffet but there are so many options if you choose buffet! The best surprise was seeing SANTA at breakfast. He gave me a cute birthday hug and shoutout. Weather was magical, service magnificent. I love this had become my home away from home. Thanks always to Richie at WhatAHotel for booking this and the lovely birthday surprise that was waiting for me in the room. Felt loved n can't wait to come back!

I came here on Father's Day weekend. It was a beautiful resort. I love the location, the private beach club and all the restaurants and amenities here. My favorite about this hotel is the private beach club. They have Beach toys for the kids too. We had an amazing stay here and def will be back.

Stayed one night at this property to celebrate my son's birthday. I booked this place through Amex Platinum FHR program and it worked out great. We received $80 breakfast credit, $100 property credit, and two complementary glasses of sparkling/red/white wine of your choice. I also got another $50 dine-in credit for having Hilton gold status. To top it off, I got another $40 off through Amex offer and got a total of $270 credit which was awesome. I got to check-in by noon and was able to do a late check at 4pm. That was nice since we didn't have to rush in the morning and got to have a relaxing day. While all that was great, I was super disappointed by the level and quality of service. They charge $70 for valet parking and when I got the car back, my car was literally covered in bird poop. I mean if you are gonna charge $70 to park my car and expect a large tip, at least wash the car before you return it...isn't that a common courtesy you should exercise? Especially if you see that the car is covered in bird poop? Not only that, our bathroom shower took forever to get hot water going....i don't mean 10-20 seconds, I mean at least 5 minutes. Think about that......I didn't even bother to complain because I didn't want to go through the hassle of switching rooms after having unpacked our stuff and it was late at night when I discovered this issue... Lastly, exclusive access to beach through the beach club sounds nice and all right? Except this beach is literally covered in seaweed and got small flies flying EVERYWHERE. I don't think I have been to a beach in this poor condition in a long time. I understand the need to preserve the ecosystem but you gotta at least try to keep the sand area somewhat clean and enjoyable....it's crazy how dirty that beach was. It's unfortunate because I had really high expectations and wanted to have a fun and relaxing time.

So let me start by saying this is a nice property. However our experience was not a pleasant one. To start, we found a fully used feminine product on the closet shelf. If that wasn't bad enough, we found two more when we pulled the ironing board out, at least these two were in a plastic bag. The first one left little to the imagination . Shortly after that we didn't have hot water to shower and we were told it said it would be up in a couple hours... this ruined our plans for the night as my gf could not get ready for a night out....the next day, we went to breakfast to meet Santa, he appeared to either hungover or I don't know I hate to use the word intoxicated.... During breakfast, I found a very long hair and pointed it out to the staff but she didn't seem to understand me and I had to tell her several Times(I don't think she spoke English) ... she was apologetic after she realized what I was trying to say. Also, The bathroom closest to the restaraunt did not have soap to wash your hand or paper towels. Will not be coming back. The housekeeping manager did get involved but instead of following up with me, who was his contact person, he spoke to my gf instead.. which was a little bothersome especially since I was the one voicing the concerns.

Recently rebranded to the Waldorf Astoria brand. Upscale hotel with beautiful views. Attended a nice outdoor cocktail reception in the evening with a well stocked bar, charcuterie trays, and a variety of walk around appetizers. Heat lamps were available for extra warmth. Only negative was the required valet parking, as I generally prefer to self park. The valet staff was very pleasant and fast, so not complaints there.

We stayed here for my birthday, and it was the best experience ever! From the moment we checked in, the customer service was excellent, and the resort, including our floor-level room, was impeccably maintained. The pool staff were attentive, extremely helpful, and personable. We also spent time at their beach and loved the service there as well. The resort offers a convenient trolley service that takes you from the hotel to the beach. The beach area has a live band, a restaurant, and a great seating area, along with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. We dined at the Bourbon Steakhouse by Chef Michael Mina, and we *highly* recommend it. I had the broiled lobster, while my husband enjoyed a steak. For drinks, he ordered a smoked old-fashioned, which was expertly prepared tableside by the manager--it was fantastic! A special shoutout to the housekeeping staff--they were great!

Terrible customer service. Constantly overcharged, too. Other customers in the valet were overcharged, too. Restaurant is not very good and makes mistakes on food. Long wait for food. Terrible hair salon. NOT WORTH IT.

Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. This is by far one of the best hotels and vacations I've ever experienced. The ambiance is incredibly relaxing, and the luxurious surroundings make you feel truly pampered from the moment you arrive. My sister and I had an amazing time exploring the beautiful grounds and enjoying the top-notch amenities. We both had an absolute blast and created memories we'll cherish forever. Even though it's hard to put into words just how perfect our stay was, I can confidently say that I can't wait to go back again. If you're looking for a luxurious and unforgettable getaway, this is the place to be!

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that this hotel is very nice. The Aesop products in the rooms are heavenly, the rooms are very comfortable with beautiful balconies, the grounds and pools/spas are incredible - especially with the view over the vast Pacific putting everything in perspective. We loved the coffee shop, fireplaces, and beach club too. The drinks at the terrace bar are way too expensive, but that was really the only downside.

The level of service definitely didn't match up to the price and the brand name. Frankly, I've been to four star hotels that accommodated better. Pros: cleaning staff are friendly and thorough. Also, the room itself and amenities like the pool and shuttle access to the private beach added to the premium vibe. Beachside bar is pretty solid, and they have live music over the weekends. Cons: restaurants are just not worth it for the money, the Ritz nearby is better. I'm also very disappointed one of the staff stole my vest while I was away taking care of our baby. No attempt to pull up any security footage, just lazy service about filling out a lost and found survey that nobody will ever read or care about. The front desk lady was rude about it, as if because it wasn't some six-figure Hermes outfit, it wasn't worth their time. Again, the Ritz in Dana Point is wayyy better. For other luxury getaways, I also recommend the Westin in Seoul for truly top tier service.

Let me start by saying that service was awesome! Everyone here was very attentive and top notch service and it should be since this is a 5* hotel. The reason for the 2 stars is because of the room itself. Shortly after we got our room, I called to request some items and noticed the phone is covered with face foundation!! That's gross!! Okay, I let that one slide since sometime it might be a little difficult to clean and check every single thing in the room? Water bottles were one of the item I requested but out of the 4 bottles, one of it was opened and 3/4 left. Okay, I'm thinking it might have been squished and the water could have leaked out so I check the cap and it was not seal like a new bottle. Again, I let that one go and didn't call front desk to complain. Later during the night, my husband wanted ice for a bottle of wine and that's when he realize that there was a used ice bucket with water inside. At this point I'm beginning to really suspect the cleanness of the room. Things just keep adding up that I had to let the front desk know the situation. They were very apologetic and offered to have housing keeping to clean the room. I declined the offer because it was late already . A nights stay at a 5 * hotel is not cheap and I expected more. Now I'm questioning if other things in the room have been cleaned properly or have the sheets been changed. I've always had trust issues with the housing keep of any hotel but this definitely add more anxiety to my future stays.

I gave 3 stars because they have the dirtiest beach in Southern California. For a 4-5 star resort to not keep there so called private beach clean is a disgrace.

We dropped by for a weekend summer getaway. Thanks to my Diamond status with this brand , we got upgraded to a bigger suite with a terrace and firepit providing great ocean and property views. The pools and service by the pool was top notch ! Special shout out to pool service folks - absolutely the best ! The Beach club at this hotel is one of the best beach clubs we have been to. Beach club is limited to hotel guests only and is accessible by a private shuttle/golf that takes you here from the lobby. If this was accessible to non-guests , this would be our hang out spot every weekend ! Breakfast Buffet spreads was awesome but it can get busy during the weekends with lot of 'non-hotel guests' also coming here. Prices were on the expensive side but in line with what you would expect from a diamond level resort. Overall - this is one of the best resorts in all of Southern California and in fact USA. Prices can get a bit tricky (~1700/night) if you don't book smart but with good planning you can snag a room in the 600-750 range ! I can't wait to be back here soon !

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The house staff goes above and beyond. You can really tell this is a 5 star hotel. I highly recommend

I used to come here regularly when it was the St Regis, back in 2004, when I first moved to Newport Beach. It had such a grand presence, with the type of ambience you only imagine from watching TV shows about the rich and famous. The last time I came here was at Christmas with my then 2-year old daughter (I should post a picture of us). My daughter is now 18, and a week ago, randomly decided I wanted to bring her back here. I was happy to see that the hotel is now a Waldorf Astoria property, and that the magnificence hasn't waned a bit. I forgot about the gorgeous sunset view, so decide to dine at AVEO to watch the horizon. Unfortunately, the meal was only slightly above average (way too much salt in the saffron rice, and the Chilean seabass, while very pretty, was bland), but if this is the only ding, I'm fine with it. We strolled through the garden and took a bunch of pictures, and the vibe is simply unmatched anywhere else. I simply loved everything about walking around here. It's picture perfect in every way. I'll definitely be back again!

Beautiful hotel. Decided to do a weekend get away for Father's Day weekend and this place is gorgeous. The room was spacious with all the amenities you would need. We were provided with a complimentary smores kit, wine, and blanket. The steakhouse on property was delicious and the monarch beach club along the beach perfect. My family and I will definitely be back.

This was my second stay here. This time I came to celebrate my anniversary. I was very impressed that they acknowledged my anniversary. Shout out to the General manager, Kinza Kahn for sending a bottle of champagne. That was a very nice surprise! I was not expecting that. The service here from the front desk to the tram was great. I love the private beach, beach butler service and monarch beach club. It makes up for the fact that the hotel is separated by a golf course. You can still see the ocean though. The gym is huge. The inside tip is that there is an unused lap pool and spa at the gym. It is only open until 10p.m. The entrance to the gym is not very obvious. The room was big and clean. We had the poolview, which gives you a slight ocean view of you are on the higher floors. I had a great weekend stay here and I highly recommend! I will be back.

I've been debating on posting this since it took place during the summer and I hate leaving bad reviews. But I never want this to happen ever again. This place is absolutely gorgeous The layout, the vibe, the room service was good, and I've heard great things about their spa and restaurants. I hate leaving bad reviews but here is where the 2 stars come in It was my friends 40th birthday and he decided to book a few rooms for his friends to come down and celebrate. Everything was beautiful! until we got into the pool and I kept feeling something brush up against me (assumed it was just some leaves) Not 1 but 2 dirty bandaids were floating in the pool. (I did not see anyone attending to the pool) I immediately got out, went to my room and showered. Didn't even go to the spa and most of us decided just to order room service and called it a night On paper this place is amazing and has all the amenities you could ask for. But having dirty bandaids floating in the pool and touching you is such an immediate turn off and unacceptable. I highly recommend if you are doing a staycation To go to surf and sand, pelican hill or the montage. I've never had a gross issue like this at any of the other places

An absolutely beautiful resort style property that is slowly evolving from pupa into a beautiful butterfly, just like its name. This property now has fireside pits on the lani of first floor rooms. There are s'mores packs in the room amenities and each room comes well appointed. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. I am in love with this local property! Come by and stay awhile to experience 5 star living for yourself.

Dear Waldorf Astoria and Booking.com customer service, I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue regarding the use of a credit card that was not mine. I recently discovered that you charged $1076.06 to a card that does not belong to me and that I did not authorize for use. This is a clear case of fraud and unauthorized charges. I want to make it clear that I am not the owner of the card that was charged, and I had no authorization to use it for any transactions. I demand that you immediately refund the full amount to the rightful owner of the card. Failure to do so will result in legal action being taken against your establishment. I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter. ????? You can charge over 1 ,000 to anyone's card but you can't reply ! As of now I'm considered a paying guest and this is how you treat your guest's ? This is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable behavior I would expect more from such a reputable company perhaps motel 6 is where you should be working with your standard of ethics and lack of professionalism!

My husband and I had two rewards nights that were set to expire soon and decided to use them for a stay at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach. We chose this resort because it is listed as one of the best places to use rewards certificates and it is driving distance from Los Angeles. The resort is beautiful and almost everyone working at the resort was super friendly. The only exceptions were the lady in the valet booth (although the actual valets were very nice), and the woman who checked us out. When we went to check out on Sunday, the woman was not friendly at all and acted like we disturbed her by letting her know we were checking out. Check-in was great though. We arrived a few hours before check -in and we were able to get in our room. Since we are Diamond members, we asked about an upgrade. We were provided an upgrade but it was just to a bigger room and not a better view. We still had a basic garden view. It was fine but after hearing a waitress at the Monarch Beach Club mention how slow they were that weekend, we wondered why an ocean view was not offered. No big deal but it would have been nice. On our walk to the room we notice the carpets were not that clean (crumbs and trash). In our room we had chip crumbs on the floor and an empty sinus pill package on the floor in the bathroom. We are not big complainers so we just cleaned it up and headed to the pool to eat. I only mention those cleanliness items since if someone is paying $900 a night for a room, they might be upset to find these items in their room. We sat by the firepit at the main pool and ordered lunch and drinks. Service was great. We then walked to Club 19 for a drink. The view was great, the service was fine. That night we took the cute trolly to eat at The Monarch Bay Beach Club. Jon, one of the trolly drivers was great and provided some information about the resort. At the restaurant, even though we had reservations (and requested a window seat), they say us in an overflow area. It was fine but strange since this is where the waitress said they were slow. Service was great though, just the atmosphere wasn't as nice. We took the trolly back and were excited about the live music at 33 North. The musician was talented although 33 North is a lobby bar and the musician did not look thrilled about playing there. She played the keyboard and sang and didn't interact with the crowd at all and would take breaks and not let anyone know when or if she was coming back. We stayed for one drink and went back to our room. The next day we went on a walk on their walking path around the golf course and down to the beach. On the way back we stopped for a very friendly and yummy breakfast at a little place on the golf course (even though it is on the resort property, it is not on their website). I recommend checking this out for a friendly, casual, great breakfast. I met a friend for lunch at the Aveo Table + Bar. We made reservations and were able to sit outside. We were celebrating her birthday and they acknowledged this with a yummy dessert! Service was excellent and the food and drinks were excellent. That night my husband I went back for dinner there and sat at the bar. Even with the free rewards night, for the two nights we ended up spending close to 1k on food, drinks and parking (we are not big drinkers or eaters although food and drinks are not cheap!). Parking is $70 a day (on top of a resort fee). We did not receive any type of welcome gift and even though the pamphlet mentions an amenity for eating at certain establishments (we ate at both), we were never offered an amenity but we also didn't ask. Would we stay again? Maybe. It is a good halfway point to meet my friend who lives in San Diego although a few things were lacking for the price point.

Goodness where do I start?? I have to say this Waldorf knocked my socks off. From the valet, front desk, restaurant, pool, concierge to the housekeeping. Came here for 4th of July weekend and it was an experience I will never forget. Our room wasn't quite ready upon arrival so I decided to walk around and just randomly browse the jewelry shop inside the hotel. The women working here were so lovely and never would I have thought I would actually buy something at the Waldorf at their jewelry shop. Well guess what this girl did!!! I got the most gorgeous diamond earrings and I couldn't be happier. This experience basically set the tone for the rest of our trip. Once we checked in our room was absolutely amazing. It was spacious, nice king bed, beautiful shower with a living room and a nice view. The housekeeping staff was very attentive and brought chocolates which was a nice touch. The bed was so comfortable as well as the pillow it was just right. The shower pressure was perfect and the temperature of the water was great! They have a nice closet to put your things in. The concierge guys and valet were really friendly my only con is the valet parking here is expensive $55!!! You can also rent bikes here so you can ride around. They have a beautiful pool and a breakfast buffet. The views here are breathtaking. They even have a shuttle that takes you to the private beach. I also enjoyed walking around the property and taking a morning stroll in their garden in the back. We had a great time and most definitely would come back. I'm in love with this resort!!! 5 stars in my book!!

My goodness: this place is just breathtaking. We don't visit 5-star resorts ever: in fact this was our first experience we decided to do it for our anniversary & wow was it so amazing! The grounds are beautiful, and the amenities are great! We wish we had more time to visit the Beach Club & Athletic Club but ultimately ran out of time: Everyone from the front desk to the concierge to the valet: top notch service, friendliness, and kindness. Our room was spacious and comfortable: the tub inside the room is perfect for relaxation and the pillows and bed are so soft and comfy. The balcony with the view was just breathtaking: with some wine, the sunset was priceless. Thank you everyone for making our stay so luxurious & romantic. We definitely will be back for another celebration!!!

My husband purchased a 90 minute massage for $500. The massage was substandard no no upgrades of aromatherapy or warm rocks. Just basically lotion rubbed over for 90 minutes. I think you're paying for the name I think it's horribly overpriced and I was very disappointed.

It's actually a nice resort and staff does a good job to make you feel welcomed throughout your stay. We live about 45 minutes away and this was a staycation for us. Rooms were clean and actually quite large. It's on our list for future staycations.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Waldorf. And all I can say is - WOW! From the moment you arrive, you feel at home. The staff, rooms, restaurants, and attention to detail is absolutely unmatched. Planning to make this resort a yearly feature in my life.

Third time staying here and we love it so much every single time we come. It's great for families, everything you need on property, restaurants, beach, pool, grass area to play. It is really is one of our favorite hotels and favorite places to travel to.

My stay was beyond perfect. Every staff member was so sweet, especially front desk agent McKinley. She provided the warmest welcome and accommodations, I would stay here again just because of her! The hotel was beautiful and well kept. Thank you!
