We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Monastero di Cortona. From start to finish, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and luxurious. The spa was the perfect place to relax, and the entire property is simply stunning.||What stood out most was the staff—their warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond, even arranging our dinner reservations, which made our stay seamless. The food and drinks were exceptional, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated.||This was truly the most relaxing and memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return.

Had the pleasure of staying three nights at the hotel. Sitting high on top of a hill affords you great panoramic views of the city of Cortona and neighboring towns. Needless to say, the sunsets were magnificent. The entire staff were very friendly, courteous and accommodative, making our stay even more memorable. They all take pride in providing excellent service. We dined at the hotel two of the three nights - once inside the formal dining room and the other within the back courtyard. The food was exceptional and so too was the wine! Without hesitation, I would definitely recommend Monastero Di Cortona to family and friends who plan on visiting the area.

A hotel I highly recommend, as well as dinner at the Gli Affreschi restaurant. I was very happy with choosing the Monastero di Cortona to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary. The service was excellent throughout. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, Bulgari amenities, and turndown service. They left us anniversary gifts, demonstrating their utmost care for the guest. It was an incredible experience to sleep in a place rich in history, which has been completely renovated, offering great comfort and good taste. Breakfast was excellent every morning, served in a beautiful indoor space and also in the outdoor patio with a special atmosphere. The pool area is very beautiful and has a beautiful view of the city from above. The spa in the ancient baths is a truly worthwhile experience. We had the privilege of dining at the Gli Affreschi restaurant and chose the tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was incredible, worthy of a Michelin star. The restaurant's atmosphere is very special, rich in history, and combined with the delicious food and excellent service, it made for a truly special evening! I recommend this restaurant to both guests and non-guests. It's worth traveling to Cortona if you're nearby to try this experience. Taziana's excellent service is a highlight. Everything is a 10/10. I plan to return whenever I'm in the area.

My wife and I returned to this fabulous hotel exactly 12 months following our initial visit in September 2024. It has become one of our favorite hotels in the world. The location is amazing but the real magnet is the staff, the rooms and the service. We travel extensively around the world and our stay here always rates #1. The rooms are immaculate offering an unmatched value. The staff offers 1st class service and the quality of the food is at the top in Italy (and that is saying a lot). Absolutely recommend the Monastero di Cortona as a must

Absolutely incredible customer service at this hotel. Made me feel truly valued and special, wonderful service. Amazing bartender creates the best cocktails. Great food at the breakfast with wonderful staff. Amazing spa, had one of the best and most relaxing massages of my life here. I will say parking here is not for the faint of heart, as it involves traversing some very narrow streets which almost lead me to a panic attack late at night. However, after doing it a couple of times, it gets better. I highly recommend this hotel at the highest level, 5 stars all the way, stay here if you have to opportunity. Also, cortona is such a cute and lovely village, we loved our time there. Huge thank you to all of the wonderful staff

Our room was absolutely impeccable: beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, and so comfortable it felt like a private retreat. Every detail, from the luxurious linens to the serene decor, radiated understated luxury.
