This has been one of my worst dining experiences. 1. The service was extremely poor — no staff greeted us, and no one provided basic necessities like drink cups or guidance. 2. The burger had an unpleasant, spoiled-meat smell and was served cold. 3. The pork chops were also cold and not enjoyable.

Great Shrimp Creole! Good Service when not busy. Decent place to get a small taste of New Orleans before you leave. -1 Star for the Catfish not being Crispy Cornmeal based Catfish, it was chicken-fry style batter, not very Authentic Nola style catfish. There are perhaps better options in this Airport for more Authentic Creole/Cajun food but the Shrimp Creole was good so 4 Stars.

Absolutely horrible service. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a pizza. Waited atleast 45 minutes to get the pizza. Which was good. After waiting an hour and a half we never received the sandwich despite asking multiple times and being told they were cooking it. We ended up telling them to cancel the sandwich and left.

Food was absolutely perfect! Ordered the Shrimp Po'Boy and its the best I've had! Service was great! Mary was fantastic! She got me a drink right away and even taught me how to organize my Po'Boy (after I asked .. I was pretty clueless!). Food came out hot and tasted incredible. Great spices on the shrimp and the gremolata was spicy and tangy. Yum!!

I'm shocked at all the bad reviews. I was served quickly. And the waitress checked on me frequently. The food also came out quickly. I just got the pepperoni pizza with jalapeños. It was pretty good. Nothing wild since it is airport food. But I experienced good service.

Ordered food at 10:10a. 20,minutes later, waitress said she was leaving but would make sure our food was delivered. 10 minutes later (it has now been more than 30,minutes waiting for egg sandwich) someone came out saying the cook lost our order & too late to get anything as they were now shifting to lunch & would have to wait 30 minutes to order. Also, there was an obnoxious male (likely drunk) talking very loudly & swearing. Nobody did anything about it. This place should be shut down!

This place is TERRIBLE....Let me start with a customer's uncovered pizza, just sitting out, which is a healthcare violation. So I waited 25 minutes for a Burger I ordered for my Wife, only to find out, they never even made it and the Catfish fingers that I ordered, were not even available. And then, the workers are all arguing with each other. I got my money back and came to the Shake Shack. Employees at Airports are mean as hell and this is proof !!!

I'll say this... they didn't skimp on the portions. We went for breakfast on our way home after a visit to the city. It's a tough comparison to make, having food in/around New Orleans and Long Beach, MS... only to end your trip with an airport place. But, could you really not add some flair to your menu? Just a little local flavor and seasoning? I will say the standard eggs/meat/toast deal was huge. And the food was fine. Not rave-worthy by any stretch, but not terrible. I had the Southern Bowl, which was mostly just grits, one egg, and bacon & toast stuck to the grits. No inspiration at all, though. So much wasted potential. I'm not going to grouse about the prices, because it's airport cuisine, but... still pretty shocking for breakfast. The service was okay. Our waitress checked on us every so often. We didn't feel abandoned or anything. There were no menus, though; everything was on your phone via QR code. I'm okay with that, but the application/website was not very intuitive. I wasn't sure how to pay at the end for sure, though ordering was pretty straightforward. It's hard to compare to beignets at Café du Monde down in the French Quarter... or even the kiosk at the airport. The food was filling enough, though, so I guess I can't complain. What it lacked in flavor and quality it made up for in quantity. But, yeah, not sure I'd stop here again, though. There seemed to be other, better options nearby.

Good variety of beer on tap. Although the kitchen was running behind, I sat at the bar and ordered a beer while waiting. Ordered the shrimp poboy which comes with fries. Poboy had 8 large hot and crispy shrimp. Comes dressed (lettuce and tomatoes), with mayo and mustard on side upon request. Nice bartender and hostess!

For a place that was created by James Beard Award Winner Chef Susan Spicer, this place could have been better. It is located inside the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport after you pass the TSA. Maybe they have a rough day; maybe they were understaffed; maybe it is no longer operated by Susan Spicer. My husband approached the place around 1PM for a late lunch. It took a few minutes to be seated. There was no one working host/hostess. At our table, there was a QR code to order at the table, but there was a waitress that took our drink and food order. Our drinks arrived, but 45-minutes later, we were still waiting for our food. We ordered Susan Favorite pizza ($17) and mahi-mahi tacos ($19). The food was OK. I also noticed throughout, besides the one interaction, no one checked on us until 45-minutes later after another waitress realized we didn't get our food. We paid for our meal via a QR code on the receipt and left. Overall, it could have been better with service.

We came to Mondo's before our flight back home. We thought the service was slow due to understaffing but we liked our waitress, Their food was okay but forgettable. There are a couple of changes I would have made to give this five stars. They are very expensive-I liked my food but the price was way too high for my catfish po'boy ($19!). I wish they had hot sauce bottles for the table, and I think it is important to have both the option to order with a QR code AND to have a waiter to talk to, especially because the menu and the QR code menus don't match. I think the more ways there are to do something, the better, but help was not the most available, and in an airport, time is of the essence. I also don't get their advertising of "flavors of the world". They mostly have Cajun food, salad and pizza, but they don't feature multiple types of cuisine. Nothing wrong with that, but I think the slogan "flavors of the world" would imply foods from many/multiple places. I think their catfish po'boy is okay-their catfish was good but plain/unseasoned, and I liked the potatoes and aioli it came with, but the bread it came in was a LOT of bread, Overall, they have a lot of room to grow, and I hope they lower their prices-in the meantime, save your money!

Would not go back or recommend. Came here on a Sunday morning before a flight. There was a wait despite plenty of open table. It appeared they were short staff. We sat down. As a party of 5, we required 4 separate checks. We were told we could only do 3. You scan the barcode on the table to load the men, order, and pay. I ordered the Eggs Your Way. It came with 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, a choice of grits or breakfast potatoes, and toast. I ordered my eggs over medium and choose sausage. My order came out as ordered. Nothing special. Very limited menu. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a bottle. Terrible service. Had to ask for butter a few times. Hardly saw our waitress besides her dropping off the plates randomly.

Ive been here a couple times before and after a flight to grab breakfast. I guess depending on the time of day, you either wait to be seated or sit yourself. The menu is pretty simple and they also serve alcohol beverages. My waiter was prompt with taking my order, bringing the food and checking on me (not too much). I ordered the eggs your way with a side of potatoes. The potatoes were definitely undercooked but edible. Currently theres some type of construction going on which is blocking the view of seeing the planes take off and land; if you're that person. I think this is my third stop here and yes I would stop again when im in the airport and hungry for breakfast

The only reason i put one star is because i can't just make a review. They have a scan menu but if you scan and order they won't allow you to sit in the restaurant, they won't cancel it. They won't allow you to get your accidental to go and use their tables. ‍ There were 7 dirty tables, one hostess/ waitress... so we took our food and sat at lucky dog. Thank you Lucky Dog for the public seating so we can eat. I will forever give Mondo a bad review. How was the food: i got oats so you can't mess that up. Hubs got bacon, eggs and grits and it was one small burnt piece of bacon, no salt and pepper.

Great stop before your flight! They had a good size menu so there's something for everyone!!! They updated their POS to all app ordering so it's a bit of a wait for the food. Be sure to let a waitress know if you're in a hurry for your flight. I ordered the avocado toad and it was good. I should've ordered the omelette. They looked awesome!

Solid airport food choice. I ordered online with the QR Code. Worked well. Food was good, no complaints -- 2 eggs over easy, potatoes, toast, and bacon. I also ordered the avocado toast, which was very good value and tasty, although the avocado was spread pretty thin. Service varied during my meal from very attentive to terrible (as in, forgot my coffee, no silverware, and did not bring the coffee after I brought it up, so brought it up again). I would stop in here again if the need presented itself.

I do not recommend stopping here to eat. Go to smoothie king instead. First, I waited to be seated for about 10 minutes even though the hostess kept passing me. She greeted me rudely and told me where I could sit. I scanned the QR code to view the menu and purchase something, but it wasn't working. I let her know and she said someone will be right with me. 10 more minutes go by and no one stops to wait on me. It wasn't crowded at all. So I left and won't come back. Don't recommend!

Terrible I mean terrible service, typical to New Orleans service, slow and a bad attitude The order took 25 minutes to get and it was not only overpriced but it was awful Just walk to the news stand and get a bag of chips and get on a plane and get out of New Orleans.

A post vacation travel day, Monday after the Taylor Swift weekend. The App to order did not work, that's fine so young lady took the order. The coffee came. I'm glad the creamers were warm because the coffee was not even that. The order came quickly. The toast was barely toasted so my wife returned towards 10 minutes maybe still no toast and now the toaster is broken. No one said anything so my wife is sitting there waiting and we're asking until somebody mentioned the toaster was broke. She finished potatoes and the bacon that had had enough since the eggs were cold. We had them take the plates, a lady in blues came over and made us smart ass comment " Oh everybody can be happy". We are in an airport, I expect to pay more, and a $44 breakfast is fine, don't belittle be with your comments. I am in the customer service business, did food service for 15years. DO BETTER

Stopped in during a long layover and really wish I would have chosen another place to eat. Mondo had subpar service and bland food. Would not recommend.

The ambiance of the dining room makes it seem like you will be getting a pretty good meal. Instead, you get something that feels like it came from Fyre festival or a school cafeteria. Garbage. My breakfast sandwich was scrambled eggs, American cheese, a tiny sausage patty on a plain, oversized hamburger bun. Coffee sucked. Seriously, it was all such low quality for like $20. Menu is digital, limited, and doesn't include descriptions of any of the meals besides the title. "Southern-style breakfast bowl." Uh...okay? What's in it? Also understaffed. Maybe 1 server to the whole dining room. Run.

Mondo Italian We had reached the airport early and decided to grab a bite before getting onto the flight. Mondo Italian Pizza caught my eye. When I got there, if was quite busy. Still waited and got a table. It took forever for the lady to take our order, and finally when she came, she looked so frayed, we were not even sure she understood. We customized a pizza and took a Caesar salad. She then took 2 more orders, held all the credit cards in hand, and walked up and down like lost, it was our turn to look harried now ... but, she did a great job of not confusing orders or the cards. The order was taking even more time, so we changed it to to-go. It came right on time to board. The smell was so good, we had the steward asking us to share ... :)... Mondo did not get all the customization right, but, the pizza was sooo good, it disappeared in like 10 min flat. It was only after eating I noticed the box it came it. It was like a recycle-able box, with a twist. You could use it as a plate, or a little storage place sort of thing with instructions on it. I thought that was pretty amazing. The salad, we got it home and had next day. It was still really good, even with no dressing, it had a flavorful taste. (They did give the dressing on the side, I chose not to put it.) To sum it up- food - taste and quality both great. Service, can be improved.

I had the breakfast tacos. Pretty basic, standard airport food. Three flimsy white corn tortillas (uncooked) with scrambled egg, one slice of bacon, and some cheese sprinkled on top. Accompanied by a side of pre-made potato cubes. I had to ask for a second side of salsa for the tacos to give them more flavor. Not a bad meal, definitely not a great meal. It filled me up for the price. Service was excellent at 7am.

Service with a smile, helpful staff, very accommodating. Zahra, the hostess and waitress for this busy Friday is very accommodating. It got pretty busy after a few minutes, but she didn't hesitate to keep checking on me to see if I needed anything. The menu is small - one appetizer, one salad, four entrees, a burger, a few sandwiches and some pizzas. For hustling travelers, it's enough. My Margherita pizza was good. I noticed the Shrimp sandwich was popular. The bar stayed full and drinks flowed to the tables. Active, nice place to relax, eat or drink between flights.

I walked in to this restaurant at the New Orleans airport and asked the hostess if they were still serving breakfast as it was 9:30 am. She said "no". I responded "well, I guess I won't eat breakfast then." She responded, "I don't care!!!" What has happened to manners and just plain kindness?

It's my 3rd time here and each time has been a great experience. My most recent visit, the service was wonderful. I love when seafood is made to order & that has been the case both times. I plan to try something different next time.

The aesthetic on this place was nice, as was the premise of vaguely international flavors, so my friend and I decided we'd eat here on our way back home. This place looks nice and was clean, but was clearly understaffed. Took a minute to get seated. You order and pay through the app. Selection was fairly limited and not incredibly inspiring. Portion to price was okay, quality was fine. Nothing I'd be excited to have again but I wasn't mad about it. My friend's food arrived quickly, even though I'd put my order through first. Had to wait about ten minutes to get mine. As with most airport restaurants, do not go there if you're going to be in any sort of rush.

Waited as a party of eight server refused to place orders for us. They had us go through the QR app and app which refused to work on any phone and repeatedly gave us errors and in the app specifically says to place an order with the server. Older lady in an Orange shirt had awful attitude continued to ignore us even after we politely communicated our issues.

Besides our server, this place is terrible. The menu outside does not match what they actually offer. They force you to use a digital menu. You cannot order from your server without getting them in trouble. The food was fine but the experience is terrible. Get rid of these ridiculous QR code menus that don't offer what you advertise outside. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

Horrible service We got a burnt grilled cheese and when the bartender tried to express the issue the "chefs" gave her so much attitude and were mean. It was embarrassing and I felt bad for the bartender. Overall you are just neglected. I get it, it's Super bowl Sunday and the airport is busy but I don't want to hear staff being mean to each other after we've already waited over 50 min for our food. The people to the left and the right of us sat after us and go served before us. One word to describe it, tacky!!

We were flying back home from a good NYE visit and I keep my vacation vibe going till the WHOLE end so I'm definitely looking for a bar ...but no service was ever rendered and once we got up and left the 3 trolls at the front was laughing funny thing about is your at work I thought people came to work to make money not sure what's going on here but ok GOOFY u just missed a blessing bc I had just said whoever gives me my drink the fastest is going to get a 100 tip I also bartend so I know the vibe and that one was what they want probably not gonna tip meanwhile u running behind a lady who actually leaving the establishment and we trying to patronize ARE U SLOW next time I'm in this airport I know to WALK ON BY step ya game up

Stopped by for a quick bite before my flight. I ordered their Shrimp Creole, which was visually appealing, but ultimately disappointing. Despite the dish's nice presentation, the flavors lacked depth, making it an average experience at best. While it wasn't terrible, it was far from the rich, soulful Creole I was hoping for. The restaurant runs on the HMSHost online ordering system, which means there are no servers to help, as they only deliver the food to you. Not terrible, but this was far from a good dining experience.

The food was fine. The service was fine. The location was convenient. Nothing was great. I think that there is a great pizza conspiracy because 2 places weren't serving pizza today. Go figure.

Chips and guacamole ok; ordered the shrimp po boy - shrimp and fries came out ice cold, no sauce on sandwich, stale bread; only 6 tiny shrimp on the sandwich. Tasted terrible, tried to eat the shrimp but couldn't. Will never go back.

Waiter was rude and we had to do most everything on our own from ordering our own food to finding menus. When I explained to the waiter that the QR code would not work he just abrasively kept telling me to show him my phone. It did work after that but I was uncomfortable with the interaction. The food was bland and not with the money. My husband's food came out about 10 minutes before mine. They forgot to bring his coffee but still tried to charge us for it. They also added 20% gratuity without telling us for a waiter we barely saw. One of the worst dining experiences in a long time.

Very slow service. Forgot several orders of food and not great for the price. Spent most of our time waiting in line and waiting for our food without any service. One item brought out then the second 20 mins later, never received the final meal.

We arrived at the airport at 5:40 for our 6:50pm flight. We knew we were going to have dinner in the airport. However, by the time we arrived, every restaurant and snack place, we were familiar with, was closed or closing down. So "Mondo" was the only place to go. We arrived and the line was super long. The host was very kind and very patient. The restaurant is not very big, so when he said the wait was 25-30 minutes, we weren't surprised. Additionally, our flight was delayed 2 hours. So we waited. It was only about 10min before we were called. Not long after being seated we were welcomed and asked for our drink order. Our server, Sweetie, was amazing. She was attentive and she took our orders without having to write it down! We both ordered pizzas, everyone around us was eating pizza and it looked so good, we had to order too, lol Not too long after, maybe 20min, our pizzas came out fresh, hot and perfectly made! Sweetie filled our order to the letter! Our glasses were never empty, she kept up with all of the tables in our area. When looking up the restaurant, the site showed that they close at 5 also. We were there on Sunday until 7:15pm and everyone was still hard at work! Thank you Mondo's for taking care of all us that needed a meal All in all, a great experience while waiting for a super delayed flight...

Sat here for ten minutes before being greeted. Have been sitting another fifteen and no one has come by. There are only four or five customers in here. A waitress just stopped by. What is listed in the paper menu isn't available on the QR code menu and therefore they don't have those items available. Horrible service. Waste of time. Must just have Spicer's name on the sign as this isn't how she runs a restaurant.

I didn't think this place was bad. I enjoyed my breakfast with eggs, bacon and grits. There was not a lot of seasoning but everything tasted fine. The service is quick and staff are very nice!

Terrible customer service. Host refused to let us eat there because we ordered our food on the QR code on her desk. Claims you have to wait to get beyond her desk to order if you want to use one of the dirty tables to eat.

cochon de lait sandwich was on point, pork was nice and juicy. Cole slaw topping was crispy adding the bright flavor to the sandwich. Pimento grilled cheese not so much, seemed a bit runny with cold veggies that were also supposed to be grilled. Service was okay. They asked us to put all our tab on one check and they would split it later and then seemed inconvenienced when we asked them to split it Was not that busy in the place seem nice and clean. The food came pretty quick. We only had 30 minutes to order and eat. Food came in time and we still had plenty of time to take our time eating

As always, airport food is pricey. However, my friend and I were starving so decided to swing in here. We were seated and within a few minutes, a waiter came by to tell us that the menu was located on the QR code posted to the table. We both got the Mondo Burger. The burgers and fries were pretty good and filled our stomachs, so can't complain.

Came here early morning for a bite of breakfast before our flight. They have a very limited menu but say "flavors from around the world." I ordered the eggs and sausage with cheese sandwich. Everything was microwaved with a kraft single slice of cheese. The potatoes were okay at best. The server checked on us once and asked how everything was. Should have told her the sandwich is terrible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Very limited menu option and no photos or descriptions of their choices.

The place was an airport no go. The pizza was worse than an elementary school pizza. The service was non existent, made us order on the app when the waitress was right there. The place was beyond dirty. It's a do not go

We had great expectations since this was a Susan Spicer restaurant. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it had no flavor. My husband had the grilled pimento cheese and the bread was burnt. Even though it's airport food, we were still very disappointed.

The only reason I gave an extra star was because our waitress tried to help out. To start off you do all of the ordering on your phone. The app was horrible and didn't even have options for the parts of the meal you were supposed to choose (between grits and potatoes). Our meals came out wrong 3 different times but our waitress was quick to get then fixed. My sausage breakfast sandwich came with one small piece of sausage and came out on a hamburger bun as opposed to a bagel or even a biscuit. Avocado toast had "poached" eggs on top that were WAY overcooked and all 4 eggs were really hardboiled eggs. I can't say enough bad about the food. You can also tell they are way understaffed. My server was the only person I saw working besides the single bartender that didn't leave from behind the bar. If you have a choice, go anywhere else in the airport.

3 stars because I like their chicken ceasar salad, but do not go here for breakfast: tasted like powdered eggs, cheap cheese, breakfast tacos dumped in a container with no garnish. We took one bite and tossed it. Susan Spicer should come whip this place into shape since her name is still on it.

Waitress was high or drunk asked us 5 times what we ordered . We spoke to manager & he seemed to not be concerned Took 20 mins to get our drinks & we ended up having to get our food to go as we would have missed our plane

Mondo Main West at the new New Orleans Airport terminal is a very attractive, hard-to-walk-by open-air restaurant. My wife and I decided to split an order of three fish tacos and two large Stella beers. Oh, and a side of steak fries that were very tasty. As were the fish tacos, truly. Not cheap, it all came to $40.54, typically overpriced for the captive audience in an airport terminal. Our server was Inga, and she was very attentive.

This was pretty good for airport food. I didn't eat the bread because I needed to save the calories for the next place with the beignets!! The shrimp was very tasty.

Sat down for a great Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Fast and friendly service makes this place 5-star (on the airport cafe scale). Will certainly stop here again on my way in/out of NOLA.

The highlight of our meal was the service. And it was amazing. We were able to be seated almost immediately. Our server who had a beautiful name (that reminded me of beautiful oceans but I rather keep it anonymous in case it's weird for her) was super awesome. She was kind and patient as I ordered to-go food and was having trouble navigating the online menu. She helped me add on items since I struggled with using technology. The restaurant uses toast where you take a picture of the QR code to reduce menu handling in managing the spread for COVID-19. I noticed that the restaurant was hopping with tons of to-go orders and in-house orders and many meals were going back and forth. I just felt grateful to get a table. It was literally noon so I feel so glad that I had the opportunity to try their delicious pizza. The portions of the pizza are satisfying but not huge if you are a New Yorker. They are light and appear almost like a pita but lighter and crunchier on the circumference or the outer crusty edge. Bear in mind, there's four of us so we were able to squeeze in two pizza and a salad. I liked the atmosphere. It was family friendly and also had sufficient space to get in and out of your seat and not to mention there's outlets multiple like 4-8 at each table so you can recharge a phone or your laptop while you refuel and have your good eats.

Absolutely miserable service. I sat down at the bar and the bartender never even spoke to me. I sat there for a while. They made eye contact. They helped the person a couple spots down. Never even came to ask me if I was interested in a drink. I just got up and left. Have no clue how this place can stay in business.

Bland food. Yes over priced airport food. The worst is you have a very "NASTY" filty restarturant! Why have white decor and NEVER clean it! Only stopped their because we wanted one last NOLA meal on the way out. Suggestions...a couple cases of bleach and close off the opening to the kitchen. Someone from the health district should inspect your kitchen. And why not offer a pad/tablet with your menu, and customers (diners) can order and pay (like Olive Garden tabletop pay station) without having to download the food order via smartphone. Who wants to do that for a restaurant that they will not be visiting any time soon. Treat your employees to a (clean) upscale restarturant to observe, they had no customer service just moved like they where zombies. This location is a disgraceful representation to the city, you should not be the first restarturant in the airport, know matter how much you pay for location...just a disgrace.

Our flight was delayed by several hours. This place saved us! We had the Amazing pizza. It was piping hot and the crust was so crispy and cheesy. I think they closed at 5 but with all the delays we got sooo lucky that they seated us!! Amazing!!
