Whether is it to dine in or order through UberEats my food is always on point! I have been eating at Mondongo’s for over more than 6 years and recipe is still the same. Though in Medellin is way better! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We’re Colombian and Mondongo’s food always reminds us of home. The mondongo, bandeja paisa & steaks are alll soo good. Their menu is relatively small but that makes it even better because everything they serve is top notch!

Very family and kid friendly, homey Sunday-lunch type of restaurant. Very warm atmosphere, a bit loud overall given the packed crowd but still chattable. Food is always very warm and homey, both dine-in and take-out. Friendly and quick service. Always return, would recommend.

If you are Colombian and want to feel that special taste from our country, this is the place. The “claro” was delicious and the plantain so good! The service was amazing, very kind staff. I ate the mixto and it was big and generous.

I started coming to this place recently with the guys and my favorite dish is the Pechuga De Pollo A La Plancha (Grilled Chicken Breast). The mango juice goes well with it. For the price, it’s a solid deal. The atmosphere is great too; I noticed events are held on a regular basis. Give this Colombian spot a shot with some friends! Good vibes

I visited Mondongo with my family and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, and the Mondongo soup was absolutely spectacular. The service was very good and we didn’t have any issues at all. Parking was super easy to find, and the restaurant is very well located. Overall, a very pleasant visit highly recommended!

Excellent Colombian food, great service, and food prices with large portions. Ate here as it was within walking distance of our hotel and had great reviews. We were all pleased with the choice! While none of us were familiar with Colombian cuisine, the Tipico Mixto and Tipico Aquelinos(?) provided such variety that we could try different things, devour the things we liked, nudge a couple of things to the side, and still leave satisfied. Though I don't normally enjoy tripe, I had to try their namesake soup. Still don't care for the texture of tripe, but it imparted such a great flavor that I ate everything else I. The bowl! Will definitely come back if in the area.

This was my first time at Mondongo's and I will definitely be back. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was family friendly and relaxed. We were greeted by a very nice hostess and once our party arrives we were sat quickly. Our waiter recommended a wonderful drink, which was Prosecco with lychee and strawberries, very delicious! Then we ordered empanadas for the table. They were very tasty. I had the pollo a la plancha with plátano, arroz and arepa. It was very tasty. A good size portion. I could have eaten the whole plate but I controlled myself and took half home, and now I have a delicious lunch for tomorrow! For dessert we had breva con arequipe. This was not my favorite, while I do like figs, queso fresco, and arequipe; I did not like it all together. The others in my party felt the same way. However , I don't think this is the restaurants fault, I think I just don't like this dish. All in all, it was a great time with great foods and great friends. If you are looking for a homey place to relax with family or friends and enjoy a good meal, this is the place for you!

The ambiance is energetic and lively. It was quite packed on a Sunday afternoon but we were seated promptly. The service was efficient. Our server suggested an excellent drink which we all enjoyed. I like that the menu is simple. There are not too many items to choose from. It's your typical Colombian dishes without the undesired "fusion" that so many new places lean to. All of our orders were delicious and filling and typical Colombian cuisine. I will be back!

This restaurant is located inside a former Olive Garden in Doral. The staff were very welcoming and fast. My friend got the steak and I got the grilled fish. Both were good. The overall experience was fine. It was not bad but I was not blown away. If I lived closer to Doral I might be willing to come back.

First time trying Colombian food and it was interesting. Did try their traditional dish and it was pretty decent. Not something I usually eat or would order. Food was a bit heavy for me. Overall, the food was not salty and with added hot sauce it tasted a little bit better. The pork belly was deep fried and crispy, which was a bit hard to cut. Their traditional soup with tripe was interesting as well. Wasn't too much seasoning for me and it was just ok. Plenty of seating throughout the restaurant and there is also bar seating. Waitress was nice and attentive.

Food is always good, service great and ambience simple a bit loud but is a restaurant just to go eat and leave right away , it's more of an every day spot to have lunch or dinner nothing special. We had bandeja Paisa , mondongo and empanadas and they were good,

So I'm a big fan of Colombian food usually. This must be a more authentic version that I'm not completely used to. The food here was okay and not too greasy but not completely my cup of tea. The soup is nice and hot and contains beef innards - so choose carefully. Service was average at best and the restaurant was not too busy. Decor was nice and open.

My family went and brought me takeout. I got the fish (pescado) which was a huge portion! And good! Came with tarter sauce, avocado, tomato, rice, and a big patacon.

Overpriced, mediocre food in a noisy place. There are at least 5 Colombian restaurants in the area that are much better.

Stumbled upon this place while traveling to my favorite brewery and remembered eating here with my mom when I was very little. This certainly gave me the feeling that the food had to be good to stay open for so many years. It most certainly was Delicious appetizers that came out right after we ordered. (Empanadas and arepas with hogao (Colombian salsa)) The menus is great in the sense that it's simple and it takes you through some of the best Colombian staples at a more than reasonable price point. You get it all A little slice of home for any other fellow Colombians The Colombian Mule made with lulo (think of a green apple and orange put together) was so amazing it's worth noting. Will definitely return!

Great service. The food came out so quickly and made to perfection, personally I had to add a little salt to everything but I like my food on the salty end. It has great vibes for the family or a date and is very lax but enjoyable. Definitely worth giving a visit.

I am so sad to see this business close. I went today for a catering order as I have done for years to find that the business has been permanently closed. this was our go to restaurant for family gatherings. Always had a great experience with their catering services. I hope they will reopen.

Tried Mondongo's for lunch during a family trip. Place is beautiful but parking was hard to find. The staff greeted us at the door and we didn't have to wait. The place is beautiful inside too. Food wise, it was ok, not amazing. The kids really liked the kids chicken meal and were pumped about the lollipop inside. The adults didn't find a lot of options on the menu and opted for the skirt steak and lots of sides

Yummmmmm mondongo or tripe immediately reminds me of my childhood as this is a meal I grew up eating and my grandmother made it often. It's warm, it's cozy, it's filling, it's delicious. It can easily be too heavy with red sauce or weird tastes but this restaurant has a very solid recipe. I got the típico mixto and luckily this restaurant has the right combination. That's the way to go - swap the ground beef for a steak and yes pay $6 because let me tell you that ground beef is dry as hell. Was the whole meal perfect? Absolutely not - but it was overall delicious! They serve the soup with a banana. I just couldn't do it! The mondongo soup came with a plate of rice beans egg chicharrón ground beef a tiny salted potato avocado. The avocado was perfect the rice egg chicarrón and potato were so good. The ground beef is VERY dry- my husband got the steak and he made the right decision with the swap. The beans were terrible - I don't know what happened there. Servers were so sweet and accommodating. I got a blackberry shake and it was delicious. We also got cappuccinos for desert and they were delish. Wait time was minimal and the place was PACKED. Great for a very cozy meal. Can't wait to be back!

They allow dogs . Terrible experience for a closed place. they didn't consider persons with allergies or asthma or worst why the customers have to share with animals. Who can't handle your pet on your own environment must be respect human environment.

Great service from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was attentive and friendly he made some suggestions to start us off with drinks and appetizers. The serving size portions were huge and delicious. My first time here and we can't wait to bring family and friends here who come visit. So that would be a definite yes we will be back.

The food is phenomenal and is authentic Colombian food. Although there's many options for food my typical order is Ajiaco , which is a soup; but there plenty of other entrees to order. Service is average but nothing to mention or complain about. Ambiance is great to the Colombian culture playing Latin music and I've heard on the weekends they will sometimes have a live band. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I will go here to have lunch or dinner, and definitely recommend this place.

Recommended to me by a friend, love the food and the attention. Regular rice and beans, really good beef and fantastic plantain, love the color a bit hard in the middle. Got my food to go and it was still in perfect temperature. The bags where cute but small. The only bad experience was with the waiter and the price.

Delicious Colombian restaurant in Doral. No reservation needed, less than 5 min in the waiting list on Mother's Day. The Place was packed. We order empanadas de pipián, refajo (Colombian soda and beer) Típico mixto that consist on a mondongo soup and bandeja paisa. Fish filet to the point with salad. And Ajiaco. The food came fast, the service was great!! I totally recommend this place.

As a Colombian native, I APPROVE! I've been coming to this restaurant for many many years and I have to say it has only gotten better over the years. I visited this past Sunday for Mother's Day and my visit was very pleasant. The restaurant was busy but didn't wait longer than 10min for a party of 3. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Mother's Day and it went so well with the rancho, original theme of the restaurant. It has a few rooms within, that make you feel like you're back in your typical Colombian restaurant back home. Our waiter was extremely polite and tentative, he kept picking up our plates and coming by to check up on us. The service was 5/5! Every dish comes with a plate of fresh bananas and sliced avocados with cilantro and sauces which is very traditional in Colombia, in which I don't see that very often in Colombian restaurants in Miami. Overall, I love my experience each and every time I come. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious. Now for the best part, THE FOOD: APPETIZERS: Mini arepas de papa 5/5 ENTREE: -Tipico mixto (basically a bandeja paisa) but switched the Mondogo for a mini Ajiaco 5/5 -Pescado a plancha which came with Aguacate, 1 HUGE patacón, tomate, arroz, and salsa tártara 5/5 -Tipico mixto (basically a bandeja paisa) with a regular size Mondongo 5/5 DRINK: -complementary mimosas 5/5 -Refajo (beer mixed with Colombiana) 5/5 DESSERT: -Flan 5/5

This is my favorite Colombian restaurant. They have great service and delicious MONDONGO (Colombian tripe soup) served with hot rice, avocado, limes, salsas. Their solomo a la plancha (steak) is very good as well. Come here if you're craving a home cooked Colombian meal! By the way you can't go wrong with a classic bandeja paisa. I highly recommend Mondongo's!

I was in the area and predominantly chose this place as it was the nearest to me via sat nav - there were loads of cars parked in the car park (always a good sign). It was Sunday at 4 o'clock and this place was busy. Having said that i was seated immediately, water was super efficient and fast and my order came out within 5 minutes! the clientele predominantly was spanish, colombian also a good sign and plenty of families dining in big tables and couples. I ordered their Tipico platter - as it seemed a good option to try a good sampling of the Colombian cuisine. The food that arrived looked exactly as the picture in their menu showed. This dish consisted of the following - a bowl of rice and beans, ground beef (this is very fine and meant to be dry - I was glad the waiter told me this as I would have found it strange otherwise), a huge strip of crispy pork belly, a fried egg, a cooked plantain, a boiled salted potato, half an avocado, a banana (I took it home with me), a little mini arepa (I personally don't like these), cilantro and limes to squeeze on the top. They also provide you with to sauces one super spicey and another one spicey but not as hot. I enjoyed it all If you want good bang for your buck, a colombian experience, a no frills family orientated restaurant with huge potions. I would recommend, I am giving them a very generous 4 stars but would have liked to give 3.5 - but there is not this option.

Mondongo's is an authentic Colombian restaurant in Doral that serves some of the best Colombian food that I know. Every time I visit, it feels like I'm in Colombia (although I've never been to Colombia). Mondongo's has a spacious dining area consisting of several rooms. It's easily a great place for families and large groups. In my opinion, the prices at Mondongo's are very reasonable when considering the large portion sizes they serve for each meal. For example, if you order their specialty Mondongo Soup (or tripe soup), a full portion costs $13.50. The soup, in itself, is a large portion and it comes with many sides: avocado, plantain, banana, rice, an arepa, lemon, cilantro and 2 types of sauces. I usually take some home in a container along with the banana. I forgot to mention that this soup is freakin' delish and one of my favorite things here. I've also tried their Ajiaco soup which is primarily made with shredded chicken, potatoes, corn, and herbs. It's served with an avocado, capers, rice, and table cream on the side. It's a really nice chicken soup for when you're sick in my opinion. Pechuga de Pollo a la Plancha is basically a grilled chicken breast dish and this is also delish. It's served with avocado, tomato, plantain, potato, rice, and corn cake. The chicken has a nice texture and it's flavored very well. I love it when a restaurant can make a seemingly basic dish taste so good. I believe that most people come here for the Bandeja Paisa which I have yet to try. Looks really good. Overall the prices are fair, the food is great, and the service is friendly. I love the food here as it's consistently good and always fresh. I've been coming here for years since I first moved to Doral.

So I have mixed feelings about this place. To start off with the service can be very slow because some of the waiters/waitresses or attending multiple tables at once. My friends " fish " was not properly cooked and also didn't look visually appealing. My food arrived cold. The food overall wasn't too bad but it wasn't special. Manager came over and apologized etc. I'm willing to give it another shot being that I love Colombian food maybe I have better luck next time. The restaurant is located in doral I'll keep you guys updated when I go again.

There's one of these in Colombia where the food is pretty good! So wanted to try the one in Miami while in town. Extremely disappointed, ordered the soup called ajiaco, by far the worst I've ever tried. Just watery , no authentic flavor to the point I paid and left more than half. Will deff not be coming back nor recommend this joint. Total Failure !!

First time in Miami decided to try new foods. I ordered the grilled chicken dinner plate, with a virgin piña colada. The Platanos were so yummy. The only thing I would complain about would be the arepas, they were hard and flavor less. The green salsa was flavorful, so with it.

Mondongo's is a Colombian place in Doral with large portions and home style food. The restaurant is very large so it is a great place for large parties. The menu has limited amount of choices but everything seems fresh. I ordered the Pescado a la Plancha ($14.40). The fish itself was delicious. It was lightly seasoned, tender, and tasty. The fish cane with a bunch of accompaniments including tomato, rice, and avocado (how can you beat a big chunk of fresh avocado?) The fish also came with a large fried plantain which I found to be kind of chewy. My coworker had the chicken which he enjoyed. The service was very fast. Great choice for a quick, hearty, and reasonable meal if you are in the area!

5 stars for everything! We came here on a Sunday around lunchtime, which for Colombians is a super popular day/time to go out to eat, however we were immediately seated and attended! Our server Juan Diego who I also had the last time I was here, was so friendly and attentive with us despite how busy it was. We ordered the Típico Antioqueño which is basically a bandeja paisa and definitely the most recommended dish if you're just trying out Colombian food for the first time. I was amazed with how fast all the food came out (and it's A LOT of food,btw). It was so delicious and definitely enough for two meals although I was so hungry I finished it in one sitting. One of the best colombian restaurants in Miami!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Came with my child and spouse. We sat at a table for well over 20 minutes. Not ONE person came to the table. Servers would look our way and kept going about their business. We continued to patiently wait and noticed 15 minutes in another family of four walked in. No more than 2 minutes passed and they were already being greeted, given napkins and utensils. At that point we knew it was time to go. NEVER again. Horrible and truly upsetting experience!

Mondongo's Restaurante on 87th Avenue in Doral is a great place to go for delicious and flavorful Colombian food. I really like the location and atmosphere that they offer here. The staff here is very friendly and works hard to make sure that you have the best meal experience.

Nice building. Fast service, friendly servers, food is good but menu is limited having in mind the huge variety that Colombian food has as typical dishes. No Chuleta? There is no option to make changes on the sides.

Sunday takeout order of Mondongo, their signature soup and namesake. My first time having Mondongo, but I grew up on menudo. This soup isn't as savory or spicy, but delicious. I like the small cuts of tripe, plus the avocado sweetens the soup. Filling, but $15!?! Whoaaa.

First time visiting this place and very disappointed. I should have taken it as a sign when my sister, brother-in-law and I walked in and the guy at the front counter didn't bother to say hello or welcome. He seemed bothered to serve...he was on his personal phone and didn't look up unless one of the other employees spoke to him. When our order was ready (he forgot to give us a buzzer) and was again looking at us all bothered that we didn't come get our food -- we had no idea it was ready. Then he got our to-go order all wrong. Your product could be amazing, but your service will ruin even the most wonderful meal! We visited on 9/26 sometime between 8:30pm-9pm.

For the best authentic Colombian food cuisine in south Florida; Mondongo's is the place to go! My family and i have been going to Mondongo's since the previous location which now is being used by Boca's Grill (fun fact). Mondongo's was surprisingly was introduced to my by my mom 10 years ago and man she was not wrong because we still go Mondongo's at least twice a month as a family ritual. We're always ordering minimum 3 orders of empanadas and an order of Chicharrón. As for the entree you gotta order the Bandeja Paisa (i sub the carne molida for steak, but keep in mind that'll be an up charge; totally worth it). By the time all the food is devoured there's still some room for a little dessert; Natas! Overall Mondongo's is always a hit, they never miss. If you have to wait to be seated; do it, is sooooo worth it.

Really nice location, interior. Clean bathrooms and restaurant. The food is good and the prices aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. The service needs a little work, although it could have just been our waiter. He got my wife's order wrong; she ordered a Plancha platter with fish and got chicken instead. They replaced it, but not before the waiter made us feel as if MY WIFE ordered incorrectly.... He took a long time to come back to the table and just as I stood up to look for someone to give me the check, he showed up and then lightly scolded me for getting up to ask for the check. He said it could get him in trouble and that waitstaff get fired for these kind of things, that it would get him in trouble with management. What was I supposed to do? Wait another 30 minutes until he finally made his way to us? I was going to tell him that I normally only get up when I feel abandoned by the waitstaff, but decided to be nice and just nod my head....and review on Yelp instead. Although the weight experience wasn't ideal, everything else was amazing.

I've been told from Colombians specifically that back their Bandeja paisa is their thing. Colombian individuals in the Paisa region would eat a Bandeja paisa to fuel up for a hard day of work outdoors or even indoors. because the overall course plate has a lot of sides that everyone describes it as a plate to picar but in reality it only for one maybe if you want to share you can squeeze two. I can definitely assure you that I won't be the individual to be outdoors but I will definitely be that person going to Mondongos on a regular especially to satisfy my cravings. This dish is delicious and will make you full in a heartbeat. Just Imagine your plate loaded up with rice and beans, ground beef or carne asada for an additional fee, a huge strip of crispy pork belly, a fried egg or two, plantain, potato and the best you save it for the last which is avocado, banana, a little mini arepa, and lime too. I mean when you're going out to treat yourself might as well, I signed myself up to gain all this. I will say that I'm not a huge fan of ground beef because before ordering it I saw it was a bit dry but I got it substituted for carne asada for a fee. but after I got my substitution I heard that's how it's severed in Colombia because it meant for you to eat combined with your beans. But I can say I normally say I mix my beans with my rice but that's a Cuban thing :) I have tried ordering other things from the menu but I always fail, and I always end up with the same dish. I heard from my server that their Mondongo soup is phenomenal there that's what they're mostly known for there but then again I'm not a soup person nor a fan. Mondongos for an awesome variety of fresh juices. My favorite is Lulo which is tangy, citrus-like fruit. The service here is very quick which is good since it seems that it is always packed!! The good thing is since the service is pretty quick you won't have to wait for alot to be seated nor receive your food.

A true hole in the wall, the essence of Colombia was in the every bite. I true Miami staple to say the least. Food was impredecible, service: incredible. I was dying of hunger when I decided to pop my head into this little hole in the wall. I had just got off a flight from my home . So as I was saying I went with my good friend (won't mention his name here) roommate and band mate and his mommy and his papi. They are originally from Colombia so I thought they must know what they're talking about when they say they know some goooood Colombian food here in the old MIA. To start they brought out avocado, little arepas.

Authentic! I've been coming here for years - and I must say I always leave satisfied! I've even picked up food to go, and by the time I get home 25 mins later, my food is still hot and fresh. I recommend you get the Típico Mixto - Delicious and you will get to try it all (chicharrón, carne molida, Mondongo, plátano...) The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think they can give a little bit more rice - the soup to rice ratio is not where it should be.

I showed up to work and they had a Bandeja Paisa waiting for me. It going to lie... at first it was overwhelming cause you just don't know where to begin! Lol. Mix everything all together and enjoy! It was so delicious!!

We had a table of 8 and went around lunch time during the week. Our server was very quiet in a very loud room so most of us could not hear her. I assume she told us about the daily specials while she was first speaking to us, but most of us did not hear them. Food was fine but the special drinks were advertised as freshly made but a member within our group did not feel that the drink was made fresh and was pre-made. I believe this is a good spot for food but service was lacking.
