The rice portion is crazy here, not enough sauce to rice ratio. The fried chicken tastes like they are freshly fried which is crazy because my dish came out lightning fast! I don’t particularly like the sauce they used for the veggie but do enjoy the crunch of the veggie. I ordered their lemon soda and it was not too sweet or sour. Perfectly done. Nothing too special about this place, just an average Taiwanese stop. But it is important to support local businesses. Perhaps get whatever dish they have on special as that appears to be a great bang for your buck!

Google
BIG CHICKEN! I like that they have a variety of food options for chicken lovers. Great snack for walking in Chinatown or along the river.

The chicken is fried almost like fish N chip. Excellent, crispy, not oily. Great. And their combo special for $17 CAD was great and good portion sizes. The misty is very sweet, probably a little too sweet for me, but they have other options like the King. And spicy options

Google
Gigantic fried chicken, similar to fish and chips style but very crunchy. The "hot chick" is properly spicy, very good for our SEA palette. Only complaint is the wait time is more like a restaurant than "fast food".

We have Misty and Hot Misty fillets. 2 pieces are so huge and so tasty! Both tastes! Thank you Jessica for welcoming us. You are so nice 😊

Google
4.5 overall. I came here with hesitancy and questioned everything about this spot. I was shocked at the food quality and taste behind something as simple as fried chicken (the asian version). The price is hard to swallow at first but the size and quantity does help not feeling like being ripped off. Minimum bones with the large one piece. Worth trying this spot. It's very different from your KFC/Popeyes type of chicken.

Google
4.5 for the deep fried chicken. 2.8-3 for the rice bowl. Don’t order them. Not worth it. Doesn’t worth $14.99. However deep fried items were great. The chicken wasn’t exactly Taiwaness flavor. However it was juicy and not oily.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEE COMING HERE! I always stop by whenever I am in chinatown! I usually get the wasabi chicken nuggets with rice & a tea. It is delicious each time and the service is beyond amazing💕 Can't wait to go again soon with my friends!

Yelp
I came to Monga Fried Chicken hoping for some quality wings, but unfortunately, I left disappointed. I ordered the 10-piece wings for $10, which seemed like a decent deal at first. However, it quickly became clear that you get what you pay for. I specifically asked for hot wings, but what I received was something completely different which was definitely not spicy, just overwhelmingly salty.

Yelp
When I first saw the size of this chicken I thought the Monga stood for "Humonga", but I have since learned it is an area of Taiwan. Where clearly they know what's up about frying chicken. Cuz this stuff is bussin! It has an unexpectedly delicate sweet flavor which results from being marinated in honey. The seasoning in the batter (not dried flours) is TASTY and crispy hot. The inside is tender and juicy. This thing is H U G E. I ate one for supper and had some left over. Next time I will try sides. Because when something is this delicious, repeat visits are called for. The price is reasonable given how much meat you are getting.

Yelp
Chicken skin was delicious! Best one I've ever had! Hidden gem that reminds me of Aunt Celina's fried chicken recipe she stole from a Taiwanese restaurant!

Yelp
I arrived around 1 pm and their sign outside said closed, so I went inside the mall to check and It was open. The batter is thicker than korean fried chicken, so I am not a fan of big batter. One of the drumsticks was not fully cooked, as you can see in picture. Thats the problem with thick batter... Price - 3 pieces for $12 is standard in calgary. Flavour was good, but uncooked chicken is a not good. I will not be going back

Yelp
Huge juice chickens. Tastes like the ones I had in Taiwan!! Also, friendly staff despite not speaking the best English.
