Okay, so first thing is first: once I figured out how to eat these, I can't STOP eating these.
I think for all those who are unnerved by the "unbaked" quality, or the texture-- try this with your chocolate chip cookie. Pop your cookie into the microwave for 9-12 seconds. It'll warm slightly and start to just melt the chocolate chips AND YOUR MOUTH WILL THANK YOU. Nay, your SOUL will thank you. It'll get you closer to a traditional cookie, but give you that special extra quality that makes it gourmet.
That said, I'm mad to have discovered these little lumps of Nirvana as I'm trying to lose weight for upcoming nuptials, because I want to eat these bad-boys all day. I love the doughy recipe, and I love the chocolate chips. I had one once a few years ago and, like some of these reviewers, was unnerved by the texture. After stopping in at Monica's cafe (which is JUST SO ADORABLE and friendly, with her and her kids working the storefront), I bought a wider selection and gave it another shot. This time when I got home, I thought, why not warm it up? I'm a cookie dough lover, but I love a warm, gooey cookie too. So, I did it. 12 seconds did the trick. The chocolate chip cookie that I once frowned over is now my biggest temptation when I'm at the grocery store. Monica's cookies are WHERE IT'S AT. :D I also adore her sugar cookies with the icing, no warming needed-- I am a sucker for the gratuitous dough. :)) Mmm!
