Monica's Livermore - Review - Livermore - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This Livermore breakfast spot is full of hangover cures. There's indulgent crab benedict, buttery biscuits with smoky sausage-bacon gravy, and lemon-ricotta pancakes that come with a homemade lemon curd you’ll want an extra side of. The bones of the space are industrial–exposed brick walls, painted metal chairs, and barstools–but the soft lighting and banquette booth that lines the back wall keep the vibe warm and inviting. Be sure to stop by the in-house bakery on your way out and grab a few of Monica’s signature swag cookies–just-sweet-enough sugar cookies topped with fluffy pink icing." - Gabi Moskowitz

Google
Good food. The portions are large so make sure you arrive hungry. Even though then portions are big, the flavors weren’t very exciting or amazing. If I have an opportunity to visit Livermore again, I would get something totally different just to give a fair chance. I really wanted to order the chai latte but they were all out. We had a thirty minute wait but the dining room was very crowded when we finally got in to a table. I like how the dining space is open.

I absolutely love visiting this place!! I mostly visit Sundays with family after the local farmer's market. The servers definitely have a hospitable and inviting attitude to them. And the food here is absolutely wonderful. It's always full so l'd recommend making reservations prior.

Great food and large portions. Service was very nice. The dining area is very large and open but it also makes it very loud when they are busy with the concrete flooring.

I’ve been coming to Monica’s for years—lately pretty much weekly by myself while I’m on sabbatical. Over the past few visits it’s become a pattern: a $18 ‘breakfast burrito’ that’s fast-food sized, with the plate padded by a mound of potatoes (photo attached). The first time I chalked it up to an off day; after multiple repeats, it’s clearly shrinkflation. I asked about it today and was told it’s ‘just a little small,’ which felt dismissive. I get that costs are up, but if portions change, be transparent: list size oz or eggs offer small/large options, or price it honestly. I’m happy to pay for a real burrito; I’m not okay with downsizing and spin. Until that changes, I’m taking my breakfasts elsewhere. Will miss the service it was the best thing about this place.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and was told the wait would be about 40 minutes — which turned out to be pretty accurate. Honestly, it’s the first time I’ve ever waited that long for brunch at a place I hadn’t tried before, but it ended up being worth it. Once we got seated, the service was quick and friendly, and the food came out surprisingly fast. The portions were huge without sacrificing quality, and the prices were very reasonable for how much food you get. I even had to ask for a takeout box! I ordered the BLT with juicy chicken and upgraded to garlic fries for $2 — totally worth it. A little oily, but what fries aren’t? The standout for me was the strawberry lemonade — super refreshing and tasted really fresh. It was a bit sweet for my liking, but I just poured in a little ice water and it balanced out perfectly. One thing to note: it does get pretty noisy inside, so it’s probably not the best place for deep conversations. But it’s definitely a fun, lively spot to catch up with friends over brunch and mimosas. Left full and happy. Definitely planning to come back for another brunch sesh with friends!

Google
Great breakfast/ brunch place. Very quick in serving the order. Food was delicious. It can get very busy so either be ready to stand in line or come early, they do not take reservations. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Google
Great food and service! Easy parking. Crab Benedict was so good went back the next day for another! Great irish coffee! Great menu

Google
Great food, service, and dog friendly place. Will definitely come again. Burger on a sourdough breads were delicious. A lot of fried chicken with waffles. Real boney chicken. Not chicken tenders.

Yelp
Excellent chilaquiles. Must add chorizo with an over medium egg. The perfectly ripen avocado. The crème fraiche. The sweet red onions and green sauce l. Every bite came together to a perfect bite. Every time. Then the lemon ricotta pancakes. Wow. Just WOW. Four fluffy thick slices of pancakes made with buttermilk. The lemon curd is to die for, like a lemon bar filling. There was a lot to stuff in my mouth so sharing this with another dish with 2 - 3 people is recommended...unless you're hungry hungry. I don't know why I don't come here more often. This will be my New Year's resolution for 2026.

Yelp
Had brunch here on a Sunday, put my name down for a 45 min wait and walked around the farmers market! Got the huevos ranchero with poached eggs and medium rare steak, a marshmello latte, and my bf got the french dip. We also got french toast to share. The huevos ranchero was delicious! The steak added on was worth it for the amount you get! The steak was perfectly done at medium rare! I really loved the poached eggs! Everything was saucy and delicious. I wish I ate this dish fast enough because the tostada was no longer crunchy in the end! We got the french toast dish to share and it was also lovely! I love a sweet brunch so I had no complaints about this! The marshmello latte was also perfect paired with this brunch! My bf loved his french dip. I don't remember how it tasted so I can't say much about this. Really great place for brunch. Loved the huge covered outdoor seating area with heat lamps! Also very dog friendly! Definitely would come back again and try more drinks next time!

Yelp
We've been trying for months to get here for the brunch and we thought music. Not realizing until we were already there, that music would be a weekend and not every weekend. We went on a Tuesday. The chicken and waffles were good. The chicken was tender and not greasy. The waffle came with 4 small pieces of chicken on top. The service was good. We were seated and served pretty quickly.

Yelp
I ordered for pickup and when I got home, they didn't put the lid on the maple syrup so it got all over the egg whites and grilled chicken. Also I asked for ranch and barbecue sauce for my son's chicken strips with fries, they forgot to put any sides of sauce. The young employees at the front need to work on standard greeting for a food establishment. Blank stares as soon as I walk in followed by me saying good morning isn't welcoming at all. We usually enjoy Monica's but the lack of attention to small details ruined 2 of our meals. Very unfortunate.

Yelp
Nothing special. I had the, toasted marshmallow latte, tasted more like whole milk than a latte and it was too sweet. I also got the griddle combo, substituted for lemon ricotta pancakes. The pancakes were good, very sweet with the ricotta sauce. A big recommendation. The chicken Apple sausage and bacon was average. The over medium eggs were more over easy and the yolk got on my pancakes. Service was great. The lady was attentive. Ambiance is like an old wooden cabin. Limited indoor seating but out door covered seating there was lots of and heat lamps. I won't be back.

Yelp
Love this place! Friendly service and great comfort food. A tray of plated dishes passed by and my jaw dropped at all the deliciousness. The inside is on the small side but the outdoor seating is covered and has space heaters. Brunch or lunch, this is a good choice!

Yelp
Monica's is the breakfast experience I didn't know I needed. The staff is so sweet and accommodating. The gas lamps outside can everyone warm and there are many tables outside. Inside it's cozy and cute. The Huevos rancheros looked and I was told they were amazing. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with a phenomenal lemon curd. However, I was given a bite of their French toast and that hit the spot. Also I chose fresh squeezed orange juice and it definitely was fresh. It quenched my first . It's worth the wait which was under 45 minutes for a table of four and under an hour for a table of five. We walked around the farmer's market on a Sunday and time flew by. Ultimately they sat us all together. I'll be back.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Popped in a little after 12:30pm on a Sunday afternoon for a party of 5 and was told that it would be a ~60+ minute wait. Put our name down and walked around the nearby farmer's market to kill some time while we waited. Exactly one hour later, we got a text saying our table was ready! Things I tried: - Classic Benedict - I ordered this but did not really enjoy it lol. I thought the dish overall didn't have much flavor, and although there were some spices and a bit of heat from the potatoes, it was overall a lackluster dish compared to the other benedicts I've had - Chilaquiles - had a bite of my friend's plate and it was tasty but a bit too spicy for us personally - Big A$$ Griddle Combo - the French toast was delicious! Soft and pillowy - Hotty- the garlic fries were really flavorful! Overall a solid brunch place! I'd recommend maybe sticking to the items marked with a red "m" on the menu, since I realize that everything I enjoyed from our table had that in common. Don't live in the area so not sure if I'd come back, but I think it's a pretty good place to eat and chat!

Yelp
I had such a wonderful experience at Monica's in Livermore! From the moment we sat down, our waitress made our visit feel welcomed. She was kind, gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and enjoy our meal, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was going well. Truly thoughtful service! The restaurant itself is super cute. We sat in the covered patio area and there were heaters set up. , It felt very cozy - esp for brunch. The menu has tons of variety, which is nice because I'm a vegetarian I ended up getting the pancakes, a side of hash browns, and the S'mores Mocha (which absolutely nails the social-media aesthetic!). Comfort food done right. Highly recommend this spot for great vibes, food, and great service. I wish I could remember the waitresses name but if you're reading this, we were the two gals that were catching up after half a year! (Sunday 11/16 around noon)

Yelp
Went to this place with the help of Yelp, of course! Really cute place. Food was delicious and service was fast. Their coffee selections were the bomb! We were seated outside patio with a heater which makes as comfortable. We all enjoyed the food and the place all together. Will def come back given the chance.

Yelp
Today, I'm at Monica's Livermore. Today, I'm in the East Bay. I felt like doing some Pancakes again. This is a Banana, and Candied Walnuts Buttermilk Pancakes straight from the Griddle. Something happens everytime I lather that Maple Syrup on top of my Pancakes. These were some nice Hot Cakes. The way they Candied the Walnuts was very different, it's out of these world, it reminds me of some Cinnamon Clusters. It was heavenly. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.8-4.3 stars, but I give this 4.2/4.3 stars out of 5 stars.
google avatar

Jazel G.

Yelp
Monica's Cafe was a solid brunch spot. We got drinks, the chicken and waffles, and the lemon ricotta pancakes. Everything was good and definitely satisfied the brunch craving. I'd give it a solid 8.7/10

Yelp
I love Monica's. I've come here now 3 times and each time the service has been great. This time I got the morning glory burger. It has hashbrowns, bacon, egg, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cheese. It was one of the best burgers. Even the Caesar salad was tasty and guava mimosa was refreshing. Great place for brunch especially when you're visiting for the Sunday farmers market.
google avatar

Cristina Nguyen L.

Yelp
Nothing beats a good brunch at Monica's on a Sunday afternoon. The food was great, the service was great, and the people were amazing. There are seating both inside and outside. The weather was nice, but it was pretty hot. There were ceiling fan outside, so it did help a bit. It does get pretty packed on Sunday because there is a farmers market right in front but the wait time shouldn't be as bad if you want to put your name down and walk around to enjoy the outdoors. The food was really great. Definitely worth stopping by.

Yelp
Food was AMAZING, our waiter was awesome and soo sweet my only complaint was that when we arrived we stood infront of the young guy and a girl both hostess (this was Sunday 12/14 between 11-12 noon) we stood there in the stand waiting for them to stop having a conversation for over 5 minutes long never said " I'll be right with you" never said " hello" or a acknowledged us at all it was so upsetting since it was our first time going there. And when they did not even hello or a hi nothing he just said how many and in the worst tone ever

Connor G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, seated outside immediately. The waitress was very friendly and took our order fairly quickly. The food was bomb. Chilaquiles were straight from the cookbook. Same with the burrito. I'd trade in my first born child to try this again for the first time.

Yelp
Second visit today taking friends since my First visit was awesome as I rated it 5 Stars. Today was a disappointment. It was busy but we waited an extended time for everything. Worst part I ordered Avocado Toast because my first visit my sister in law ordered it and it was awesome. Not This time. The plate looked sparse as opposed to Last time. Poached eggs fully Cooked and Served cold. Fruit was best thing on the plate. We had waited so long I did not Send my meal back. My Two friends who I talked Monica's up to received their meals over cooked, Cold. And Lacking flavor. I was embarrassed that I had brought my friends there. I get it was busy but this was a night and day experience. Very disappointed

Yelp
Okay, this place gets super packed on a Saturday morning so all I gotta say is planned accordingly. I love their choice of dish names like Big Ass French Toast. I was like "How big ass is it?" Haha. There's a few others like that but I can't think of it at the moment. I kept it light and ordered an avocado toast. It was ok. I found the little potatoes to be over seasoned and the avocado on the blank side. But the vibes were right so I'll excuse the food lol It is dog friendly so that's a plus. I'll come back but bring my wawows and see what new thing I'll try.

Yelp
What a cute place for brunch. They have a few inside seating but I would rather sit outside and they have plenty of tables. The servings are huge. Great value for the money. The chicken and waffles was delicious. It is not just chicken tenders like most places. Service was great. It took a little while to get our check but that's ok.

Yelp
What a great place for a quick bite to eat on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Menu is diverse and wholesomely good. We split a turkey club with fries. It was huge!! Side salad was scrumptious and fresh. Lots of wine tasting beforehand so pass on the drinks. Great atmosphere, servers and food. Monica's!! For the win!!
google avatar

Yelp
I loved the outside seating and vibes of this restaurant. The menu had a lot of good variety, they had an assortment of fun cocktail drinks, that I definitely would be interested to try in the future. I got the french dip which I thought was pretty good! My man got the steak and eggs which he thought was good too, we shared the side of linguica which had a lot of flavor. The toasted marshmallow latte was a great coffee drink, our server mentioned that the s'mores coffee was similar but sweeter because of the chocolate. We enjoyed the marshmallow one because it was not too sweet.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast on a Thursday. No wait and seated promptly under the heat lamp. The tables were close to each other so we were quite close to the table next to us. Wish we had more space. We got a latte and a combo breakfast with French toasts. The mug was chipped. Latte was not strong enough. The French toasts was ok , sausage was too burned . I didn't want more carcinogen when sausage is already a carcinogen. Overall, food was mediocre. We actually got recommended the combo by the server. The only thing good was the service. Very friendly. But I wouldn't come here out of my way for that. Maybe if I'm in the area, I can try the lunch menu.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Food was good and everything was fresh. Kinda pricey for what you get though.

Yelp
We were in the area and time for a late breakfast. Looked up the popular places and there was Danica's in Danville and Monica's in Livermore that stood out. We have loved Danica's and decided to try Monica's for comparison. Both are wonderful places for a great breakfast/lunch. The long line outside was a good sign with the 45 min wait time. We were seated within 30min!! Monica's menu has some Mexican or Mexican fusion flare to their breakfast menu. We opted for Avocado toast and Roberto's special. They were both great. Loved the combination of the avocado toast with potato's and poached egg. My only complaint was that the avocado was more like shmear on the toast rather than full avocados you expect on a toast. The Roberto's Special with chili Ellen was a hit. As my husband put it, the best chili relleno he has tried in the area!!! Service was good for a busy lunchtime hour and the place which is quite large was buzzing with diners even when we left. BTW, they have a great selection of full bar menu that many were ordering but we settled for their fresh squeezed orange juice which was a great choice!!! Shall try them again...
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
I like this place. Got the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately the chicken was smallest chicken I've ever had. lol. Taste was decent, but the drumstick was smaller than a wingstop wing. Otherwise the experience wasn't bad. I'd come back and order something different,
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to enjoy brunch for my sister in laws birthday on a Sunday afternoon (11:30ish). The place was PACKED. Our table 10/12 was seated relatively quickly (we might have called ahead, not sure). Drink orders were taken quickly and food came out quickly as well. I wanted to opt in for the bottomless mimosas but with how busy it was, I knew it likely wouldn't have been worth the cost for the 2 hour time limit they give people. I don't remember the server ever having time to really check on us often, let alone fill up my cup if I wanted a refill. I opted to buy it al la carte. The food was fresh and was abundant. I loved the options for my kids that they offered for breakfast. A little something for everyone I felt. Ambiance was fantastic! Definitely passes the vibe check. It's a little pricey for breakfast but we managed. It is a lot of food like I mentioned but potato's and toast doesn't really cost anything. Maybe the eggs lol especially now haha! Thanks Monica's! We had a blast!
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
The sandwich and French toast were delicious. The avocado toast wasn't my favorite. We came in a very busy Saturday & only had to wait 25 min. The staff is very nice and friendly. I loved that they have the heater makes the place warm and cozy!
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
I was excited to try Monica's but was very underwhelmed. I ordered a Benedict and the English muffin tasted like it came straight from the bag. Did not seem toasted and was very mushy. The potatoes also lacked any crunch or seasoning. They have a spacious interior and service was prompt, but I probably won't be back a second time.
google avatar

Billy L.

Yelp
I came here for a team lunch with my new colleagues. Monica's is located in Downtown Livermore, so parking was difficult. We had a group of 10+ people and sat outdoors, which was covered. Service was quick and attentive, given it was busy and we were sitting outdoors. I ordered the chilaquiles rojas w/chorizo and my eggs over medium. The chilaquiles came out perfectly. Not too soggy or overly saucy. My chorizo was nicely crispy. It's not the best chilaquiles I've had flavor-wise, but I would order it again. They also have chilaquiles verde as an option, but I'm not into the tomatillo flavor. The portions here are huge, FYI. All my colleagues had to ask for a to-go box for the leftovers.

Yelp
We visited Monica's Livermore on a Sunday afternoon (1PM), Super Bowl day, and were pleasantly surprised to wait only 10 minutes for a seat. A far cry from the 1hr+ waits on other weekends! Our waitress, Ariana, was an absolute delight - friendly, efficient, and attentive. We ordered: - Eggs Benedict with Veggies and a House Salad: Tasty eggs and veggies, a great twist on a classic dish - Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich: AWESOME! The combination of Roasted Poblano, Pepper Jack, Avocado, and Chipotle Aioli on a Toasted Sourdough Roll was perfection - Garlic Fries: Warm, crispy, and divine - a must-order! - Cappuccino with Caramel Syrup: Frothy, delicious, and a great way to cap off our meal Monica's is a downtown Livermore gem that shines bright. We'll be back for more!

Yelp
This place is amazing. Everything is so delicious and the portions are very generous. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful with helping select food items The endorse is relatively small however they have a very spacious outdoor area with plenty of heaters for the cool weather Definitely a place I intend to come back and try more food

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent ambiance, excellent service, per friendly Loved the chilaquiles. The best I have tasted in the bay area!!

Yelp
Met a friend at 11:30 on a Thursday and almost all of their tables were full, inside and out. We were lucky to be seated right away. This was a popular spot for us to eat when I lived in the area and I was delighted to see that they are still attracting quite a crowd. They offer an exciting menu, sure to please any palate. One side of the menu is all breakfast items from traditional dishes like eggs benedict, omelets, chicken & waffles, scrambles, biscuits & gravy, and even huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Their lunch menu includes salads, burgers, sandwiches and even menu items for fur babies (like pup chicken breast grilled to puppy perfection and southpaw scramble, grass fed beef and 2 free range eggs). Too cute! All human sandwiches and burgers come with fries. My friend ordered the classic breakfast and I ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich. My sandwich was superb. It came with citrus-marinated chicken breast, poblano pepper, habanero jack, lettuce, tomato, avocado, spicy aioli on parmesan grilled sourdough. The fries were hot and fresh and delicious too. Our server was extremely busy. He was handling quite a number of tables with large parties. We didn't see much of him until we were done with our meals. However, he was very cordial and pleasant and was happy to take a photo of us. I have had several meals with friends here and we have never been disappointed. They have a large covered outdoor dining area that accommodates furry friends too.

Yelp
This review isnt so much on food.... but more being appreciative of the smallest of gestures. So this morning was daddy/daughter time and of course we both decided that Monica's would be the place that we knew we were going to get great service, and a deliciously prepared breakfast. And again, we got our favorite server, Miss Erika, who is an amazing young lady who I greatly appreciate. Our order was taken, and served without a hitch. And the fresh orange juice was absolutely amazing. The moment that literally brought me to tears was after inquiring about the purchase of one their signature cups, Miss Erika explained the current situation of shortages with their signature mugs. And of course I was very understanding. Moments later, Erika returned to our table with the owner, Robert, whom I had never met. But we spoke briefly about how much I liked the mug and being able to put on a wait list, which I was more than willing to do. I mentioned that the only other mug that I hold dear to my heart are my USMC mugs. Moments later, he back to our table and presented me with a brand new mug. I offered to pay for the mug, but he wasn't having it. It was what he said to me that hit me like a freight train. He thanked me for my service to this nation. I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and newly retired law enforcement officer who has seen and experienced a lot in both careers. I've been thanked many, many times in my life for my service to this great nation, but as my children already know, I've never accepted anything free or a discount from anyone becauseof my service. I volunteered and gave everything I could to my country, to my Marines and the Corps and to the community's I served as an officer. Robert if you see this message, you have no idea what your simple gesture meant to me today. I guess I've held in a lot over the years and I was just overwhelmed by your kindness.... my daughter, just got up and hugged me to let me know it was going to be okay. My children know what I've seen and experienced in my lifetime and despite all of that, they know that I still believe that there are a lot of good people in the world and today was an example of such. So from the bottom of my heart, I want thank the staff at Monica's, specifically you Robert, your daughter Tiffany and my awesome server, Erika for blessing me with great food, a great atmosphere, excellent service and most importantly, with all of your kindness and love today!

Yelp
We decided to go here in a whim. The ambience is quite noisy on the patio area, but we did go on the Monday before Christmas. We had a fabulous waitress who answered our questions and gave recommendations when asked. We ordered the chilaquiles with chicken and the Firehouse Eggs. The chilaquiles were amazing. A bit spicy for us, but overall good. The chicken that was added was not as expected. They came as sliced chicken, versus what I thought they would be. The Firehoue Eggs was good, creamy and was the perfect amount. The hasbrowns accompanied it was amazingly crispy.

Yelp
We came to this location after a graduation, it was a nice place also cleaned nicely. The food was pretty good, I wasn't overly impressed with any specific thing but we did have a nice time. The staff was very friendly and knew the menu well.

Yelp
Came in for my birthday this time. It was amazing again! We had a large group and only had to wait about 30-45 minutes for our table. I got the huevos rancheros with Carnitas on top. It's definitely a go to now. I also got the pumpkin espresso martini and tried the dirty chi martini. They were both top notch. It was all decorated for Halloween too so that was fun. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area again.

Yelp
Key points: - Delicious Brunch food. - Friendly Service - Plenty of outdoor seating. After attending the Little One's Halloween parade at school, we decided to make a fun-filled no-school Halloween and took her to brunch at Monica's in Livermore. We were looking for a place that still served breakfast around noon. I'd seen a review from a few years back mentioning they didn't serve breakfast all day, and the online menu wasn't clear about the hours. Even after calling, I couldn't reach anyone--probably because they were busy. Thankfully, when we arrived, we found that breakfast was still being served! It was 11:30am. The Food: - Carnivore Omelette: crispy bacon and juicy sausage. Clearly wasn't one of my vegan days and glad that was the case. Opted for potatoes instead of hash browns and with rye bread. The Mrs. And I shared this along with... - Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: As always, brunch needs pancakes. So why not these special lemon ricotta variety! They were soft, fluffy, and included a deliciously tart lemon sauce on the side in addition to maple syrup. Was it real maple syrup? To be honest, my palette isn't good enough to tell. - Cutie Combo: this was for the Little one. Chose the Mickey Mouse pancake, which she loved. - Golden Latte: Filled with turmeric and spiceful/spicy? Not sure of the term, but the spice flavor was strong and I loved that! - Toasted Marshmallow Latte: Mrs. Ordered this. The roasted marshmallow flavor added a nice touch to her usual latte experience. The Service and Seating: The service was friendly and attentive. Indoor seating was somewhat limited but they had plenty of outdoor/porch seating. Despite it being a cold day, the heat lamps, kept it pleasantly warm. The servers gave us time to get our toddler settled before taking our order, which we appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Monica's for brunch in Livermore. I never quite got an answer on the all-day breakfast, but I can confirm that they were still serving breakfast at 11:30 AM!

Natalie A.

Yelp
Amazing ! Food was delicious and came out super quick:) Service was great, waiters were attentive. We sat in their outside area which was really nice and had multiple of the tall heaters so you don't feel cold out there. Definitely would recommend everything was a 10/10.

Yelp
Monica's is my go to breakfast spot! We've been here multiple times and I've tried multiple items on the menu. Everything is amazing! There's always a wait and it's always worth it definitely worth trying.

Yelp
Heard mixed reviews regarding this restaurant decided to try it myself. The service was great I forgot to get our servers name. She was very attentive and nice. I did like the setting the ambiance was nice. They also have a menu for dogs as well if you're a pet owner. My daughter is terrified of dogs so it was a little challenging but we got through it. The food was horrible. It was burnt tasted burnt I had the Monica's melt, my daughter burger was extra charred. I boxed it up figured maybe it was me my husband had tried it said it was trash. Not sure if I would go again I was told the Antioch location is better. I will say my cousin said her sandwich was good I believe it was the Santa Fe. We both agreed the strawberry lemonade tastes like strawberry purée no lemon. I did enjoy their fries my daughter too. Very busy also on a Saturday we waited 40 minutes to get seated

Yelp
Have waited years to try this place. The verdict, it was ok. Nothing special and don't think we need to go back. Ordered Belgian waffles that should have been sold as Belgian- style waffles. This was a traditional waffle batter made in a Belgian waffle press. Belgian waffles have a different texture and moisture content. I was excited to order but disappointed with what I received. The waffle itself was dry. It should be good to eat without the syrup but this waffle needed it. The syrup tasted like log cabin, was not pure maple syrup, a bit cheaper quality than I expected. The service was mediocre. My server didn't even inquire how our meal was. Actually the coolest part of the meal at this place was the cute little cream bottles. That was the best part. It's sad what passes as good these days.

Yelp
I usually go to Monica's Antioch but I was this way and pulled up in Livermore. Since it was Farmers Marker outside, it was a light crowd and quick seating. I wanted the big a$$ French toast, and chicken & waffles. The server suggested the French toast w/chicken instead & eggs on side. Sounded good to me! The French toast is big, standard French toast. Chicken was bland, except the hot honey drizzle. My infant wing and thigh was cooked too hard, but the drum and breast were perfect. Standard breakfast, good meal, nothing too spectacular.

Yelp
If you know and love Chris G Yelpsters you know I love a great breakfast spot to get the day pumping! I haven't been to Livermore, California for 20 years and I never visited the downtown area on that visit. My good friend had his wedding at a nearby Winery and so we stayed in downtown Livermore. The wifey and I met some friends at Monica's for breakfast and so glad we did! I ordered up one Big A** Breakfast sandwich...seriously that's what's it's called. Let me tell you Yelpsters this sandwich wasn't only BIG A** it was 5 star tasty. Nothing better than a tasty breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was so very tasty we returned the next day and I ordered the special Pancake breakfast tacos, which were also great. 5 star breakfast.

Yelp
Still our go to brunch place in the Tri-Valley. Food is consistently good, service is accordingly courteous. Try coming on the weekdays if possible to avoid the long waits on the weekends. I really liked the chicken and waffles this visit. Most places it's just fried chicken coincidentally served with waffles. At Monica's it just tastes like they belong together...first time I've experience that in years of trying.

Yelp
This spot was really cute! Found it on ig and stopped for weekday brunch with a friend. To start, I for one loveeeee spot with weekday bottomless mimosas! I stuck w orange and my pal got mango then stuck to guava. Can't complain. The chilaquiles were okay. I was hoping for more flavor. I'm glad I got the carnitas, or it probably would've been bland. Although, chips were soggy so fast so i basically ended up eating around the chips, which is not the point of chilaquiles lol. Adding the meat added $10, which I definitely wouldn't do again bc it's not worth it. I can't speak for the French toast, as I'm not a fan of any French toast. But I'll say, my friend devoured it. I would for sure comeback if I was in the area. I would 1000% get a burger. They looked so good and huge. Table next to us literally all got burgers and they looked to die for. Our server was great. Everything came out super fast and they were all so sweet and kind!

Yelp
Monica's is a great choice when you need a dog-friendly restaurant, as we often do when passing through this area. They have a large, covered patio with plenty of seating. My daughter had the Chilaquiles, I had Monica's melt, a patty melt with grilled onions and mushrooms; for a side, I choose grilled veggies. My husband had the classic burger with a side of fries. They are generous with their burgers; all are 1/2 pound of beef. I'm used to eating much smaller burgers, so I had bites of beef to share with the pups. They also have a couple of items on a doggie menu if you want to order them their own dishes. Everyone liked their food, and the service was excellent, so I could easily return here again.

Yelp
Monica's is local place in Livermore and has been in the community for a while. The service is great, the food is tasty with large portions. I've only been for breakfast, if I'm in the area I make sure to stop in for a bite.
