Definitely the place to hang. An incredible atmosphere of warmth and caring by dedicated baristas. The open layout with relaxing outdoor seating and indoor wood top tables, which due to the wide open patio walk throughs contribute to the spacious sense. So San Diego. So classicly classy. I get a lot of work done when there, and have also enjoyed wonderful human interactions. Ask the barista for a recommendation and, if you are like me, never be disappointed. 😎

I’ve been by here a couple of times because the atmosphere is always clean, warm, and welcoming and the baristas are always incredibly friendly and sweet. However, I came here to work today and the Wifi is just atrocious. I couldn’t get any pages to load and there was only one other person in the shop with me. I ordered a flat white and though I appreciated that the drink was made technically very well by the barista (great temperature and aeration/conditioning on the milk), the espresso was just not strong enough. I recommend coming here to meet up with friends or doing something offline, and probably order something where you’re not relying on espresso for the flavor of your beverage (maybe a flavored latte, as these are a big highlight on the menu).

The attitude from the folks that work here is subpar. I've tried to support this place multiple times instead of spending money at Starbucks, which is directly across the street from me. Not only do I receive weird attitude when spending money there but the service is incredibly slow and the food takes forever to come out. It took them 20 minutes to work on my little bowl of expensive food. Not only that but the food wasn't fully cooked. The coffee is good though. Nonetheless, this was the last time going there. It's what I get for trying to support local. I'll just stick to Starbies where the service is pleasant, quick, and actually more affordable than this place.

Team is always so sweet here! I come all the time and recently hosted a journal club and they were so accommodating and able to service all 30 of us! Drinks are delicious and so are the bites!

pretty disappointed with moniker’s hawaiian matcha. i ended up throwing it away, waste of $9 :/ i really cannot taste the matcha, i can only taste coconut/ macadamia? milk. i went on a pretty busy morning, only one barista was making drinks and there were dozens of cups waiting to be made. i’m sure it’s good when they’re not very rushed but they should have more than one barista on a saturday morning. there was a bagel pop up that was amazing though, that’s the only reason i went.

I dropped by for the soft open. The kids at the counter were nice, but I got a really dry and expensive almond muffin. I try to support local businesses, but there's no point if the food isn't tasty or fresh. They weren't serving coffee when I went, so I might update my review if the coffee is really stellar. Follow-up: Bumped my review up, because the folks at the counter were so nice the second time I went. I also got a latte, and it was fine!

I'm in love with the tiramisu latte! I've had it too many times in this last week to admit lol But I'm having a hard time ordering with a food delivery service. Help!

It's so nice to see the Moniker heading out east with this new location in North Park, San Diego. I visited their Liberty Station location many times and learned that they offer a great product. The location is quite spacious inside and they also offer a small patio right in front. I had them make me a cortado with whole milk. I also had a slice of coffee cake. Both cost $10 and some change. The cortado was well made, except for a touch of sourness towards the ends, but I was very please that they not only served it in a proper Gibraltar glass but they also served with a side of carbonated water. Well done. The coffee cake was a winner! It was super moist and offered great flavor. The service was very good. The young lady who took my order had a good sense of humor, and the barista was up beat. Cool spot.
