Overall a 3.5 star experience, but rounding up because the drinks were absolutely delicious, although pricey. The experience itself usually would of put me off and I wouldn't have bothered staying. But I did end up waiting for MG to open up, so I wanted to give it a try.
Before it is a bar, it is a coffee shop that closes by before the bar opens. Most of the bartenders or baristas will straight up ignore you and not give you the time of day to let you know that the coffee is closed and the bar doesn't open until 3pm. You see the bar and bottles, but you also don't see a menu or open bar space as a lot of the people have been stationed there from earlier in the day.
The menu and creativity of the drinks saved the experience! The menu offers few clarified cocktails, creative cocktails and their signature cocktails. The craft in the craft cocktails really owns to its name. I was excited that they had my two favorite cocktails listed - Blood Orange Cinnamon Old Fashion (16) and Creme de Menthe Espresso Martini (16). Absolutely delicious - each to their own flair and the flavors were balanced out well. The ice cubed had their signature logo on it and the presentation to the drinks were executed so well.
The bar had a wide variety of spirits to chose from, as well as wine and other beers on tap. Although my initial experience was upsetting, after being able to actually order drinks made me reconsidered coming back. It is located at Liberty Station which has so much to offer, but is it also a hidden gem until 3pm swings around.
