One of the best rooftop bars Dallas. The food consists of snacks, but they are very good. The service is also good. The atmosphere could be better if it weren't so hot inside. So it was super cold outside, and hot inside the bar. The rest was excellent, with Latin music playing and beautiful people around. The hotel was saved by this bar. Strategically well thought out. No parking on weekends, valet parking is available but there's that pressure to pay...BUT it’s okay..

Started out with complimentary valet — $20 got me a spot right up front, which was perfect when it came time to leave since it got busy later. The hotel is really nice, and I even enjoyed a quick round of pool in the lobby before heading up to the 9th floor. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant was clean and beautiful. We were able to grab a table on the patio, which made the experience even better. The manager, Maria, was absolutely the best — super friendly and helpful! My favorites were the Monkey Bar Mambo Taxi and the chicken nachos — both were delicious! The highlight, though, is definitely the view (if you don’t mind the TJH sign 😄). After sunset, it’s absolutely gorgeous. They had a DJ playing great music all night, and it started to get lively around 9 PM. Overall, a fantastic place for great drinks, tasty food, and an unbeatable view!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Monkey 9 Bar, and it was such a fantastic experience! The rooftop setting is absolutely stunning with a modern and stylish vibe that makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy. The guacamole and drinks were amazing—so fresh and flavorful! What really stood out was the exceptional service. Despite how crowded it got on a Friday and Saturday night, the servers and bartenders were incredibly attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. I highly recommend checking this place out. Whether you’re going with friends or just looking for a great rooftop experience, Monkey 9 Bar is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had been wanting to come and check out this Rooftop Bar for a while - location is great! - Parking 🅿️ is Valet ONLY - Tips Only 💵 - The place is clean and easy to get to. - 21+ years old ONLY 👌 (good call here) Most of the crowd is Influencers wanna be, snapping IG worthy pics and dressed as if they were going to the club, but the sky view is worth it. You’ll see guests that are staying at the hotel so that helps to balance it out. They had a live DJ and we did enjoy the music. I had the Polanco and I was not impressed 👎🍹 then after we had a couple of Mambo Taxis and you know they didn’t disappoint 👍 The restrooms are clean and well equipped. Ample sitting options… that’s a huge plus for me when visiting a place. They have couches, benches and tall tables 👌 The part we were disappointed with was that we were charged for drinks we didn’t consume. I saw the bartender go whisper to the guy who was charging us and was surprised with drinks we didn’t consume. After sending the check back and letting him know what we actually had drank he did correct it. Girls!!! Just be watchful in case they want to take advantage of you too. Not sure I recommend this place but it’s cool to say we went.

My friend and I went Friday evening about 8:00pm. 1st timer. Hands down the patio rooftop bar view is awesome. The servers were pleasant. Drinks were tasty. After 9pm, the crowd changes with younger people.

Monkey Bar on 9Z never disappoints! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, but what really makes this place stand out is the staff. Adair, Cris, Isaiah, Maria, and Mikey were all incredible — super friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive. They made the whole night feel effortless and enjoyable. If you want great drinks, great music, and even better service, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back! 🍸✨

Came here with two of my girlfriends after leaving another spot due to dress code drama, and let me just say, Monkey Bar understood the assignment. The vibes were vibing from the minute we walked in. The music was on point, the crowd was mostly mid-20s to early 30s, and the overall energy was fun but chill. Not too wild, not too quiet. We started at the bar where I ordered a vodka water with lime, cucumber, and mint (refreshing and light!), and my friend got the piña: I don't know everything that's in it, but they torch the pineapple garnish and sprinkle some kind of seasoning on it that adds a serious wow factor. We were seated soon after ordering drinks and decided to grab some food. Just a heads up: it's mostly small bites/app-style plates. We ordered the mini tacos and nachos. Both were a little on the bland side but still satisfying enough to hold us over. The rooftop is super spacious with plenty of seating and standing areas, making it great for mingling or just kicking back. Overall, this place came through when we needed a vibe reset. Great for a casual night out with friends or a cute pregame spot!

Not what you are expecting on top of the TRU Hotel, but it is what you are expecting from Mi Cocina-Monkey Bar! The hotel staff from valet to lobby are very friendly and helpful to start...Much larger space than the Highland Park Monkey with a downtown and sunset view from the Margaret Hunt bridges to downtown to design district and Market Center...its a serious rooftop view that only Stemmons could offer honestly... Its new and very busy, we went on a Saturday, but service was very gracious and attentive considering we were near standing room only with what looked like a private event also going on by the outdoor mambo bar. The menu is a little smaller than HPV but the food is delicious! We had the street tacos and nachos while drinking down the Mambos!! Very modern comfy furniture outside with lots of group pit style seating and a jazzy bar-lounge setting inside.

They may want to have a few umbrellas/fans for the summer heat but there is alot of shade. Note-best rooftop view in Dallas! Service Outstanding. Servers, front and back bar. Menu Full bar, cocktail menu, ask for food menu. Back bar only has frozen margaritas. We had the mini tacos-sooo good. Fresh lettuce, diced tomatoes, ground beef. Summary Our go-to rooftop bar-best view-plenty of space to stretch out-doesn't feel crowded. Great food-outstanding service, potent drinks. See you there!

Just opened! This place is new and popular! Complementary valet parking when you pull in. Lobby staff are friendly and kind. Head up to the 9th floor and you find beautiful decor, floor to ceiling windows, and an immaculate rooftop. The left side of the patio looks like a cruise ship deck with a large fire pit and seating, the center has a covered patio, and the right side has arranged couches and open seating area. We had the Topo Chico and mini tacos. They were delicious, tasted fresh! The service was fantastic. This place has a great vibe. We'll be back for sure!

Well the view is nice especially at night. Went on Saturday night when they had a DJ playing EDMish music. The drinks were watered down tho. And the queso dip was questionable. Kinda disappointed.

This is a great atmosphere for a chill vibe. They have open sitting and the drinks are strong and good. The queso has a little kick to it. But don't come here hungry the menu is limited. Also nice views of the city.

First of all the food is amazing. The nachos were spectacular this is a bar though so dont expect a full menu they only have appetizers. Service was also great ! My server was very attentive and nice she tried her best to bring me everything as fast as she could even though it was kind of packed on a saturday night , the Ambiance was perfect they had the best dj playing the music i loved they also keep their restrooms extremely neat

Very nice and modern roof top experience and lounge at the new monkey bar. Had a great time with best friends for the 4th of July. The staff and Manager were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food was great as always. I felt I was on vacation.

Currently here and experiencing the WORST SERVICE EVER. WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!! when I first arrived I asked for a wine list, I was told extremely rudely that there was none... I then asked for a cocktail menu... I was given one... WITH A WINE LIST INCLUDED! idiot.... I asked for a simple tequila reposado because none of the wines were appealing to me... I tried to order food as the bartender was turning a way, I POLITELY (check the cameras) made a finger gesture to come back and said "and I want to order food" and THE BARTENDER WITH GLASSES said "Do not put your finger up to me" LMAOOOOOO??? Check the cameras. No one was rude or did that. I made a gesture to come back. Politely. I've also worked service industry ... I would never do something so rude. Insane. He needs to heal. He spilled half my shot.... And then the other third was taken by the bus boy before I finished it. (While I was eating) LOLLLL freaking worst experience ever. I will never return and I will warn everyone to never return. I also chit chatted with several patrons and everyone was disgusted with the service. Also bonus **** they talked mess in Spanish (thought I didn't know) Discriminating... . LOL. NEVER AGAIN I WARN EVERYONE DO NOT GO.

I seen multiple servers, walked past me and not offer any service. I walked to the bar from my table and the short small server literally stayed at the door to avoid opening the door for me. I went to the bar to ask for a server and still no one came. I'll never return. The worst service I ever received.

Such a great addition to Dallas! Great food, great music and ambience and yummy food and drinks. Highly recommend checking out Monkey Bar! Will definitely be back.

I'm going to make this as short as possible. The view is amazing. The vibe is a 10/10. The drinks were good, but the food was disgusting. My friend and I got the beef nachos, and she compared it to movie theater food. The service was pretty bad. Our waitress wasn't kind but she did her job. Paying threw me off though. When we paid, she said 20% gratuity was mandatory but it wasn't already on the checks. After we paid, she took card reader to hit the 20% tip and made us sign. I have never seen that before. It's not a terrible place but I wouldn't return.

One of my favorite spots this summer with a great rooftop view overlooking the skyline. Drinks and appetizers are great and so is the service. John the manager came by to make sure we were taken care of. I recommend coming here.

The rooftop bar not only had an amazing view of Dallas but the service was exceptional. Sandor was so welcoming from the very beginning and is a great person to ask for drink recommendations for any occasion. Will be back!

This place was great beautiful views and a welcoming atmosphere. The host was super attentive, and John, the owner, even stopped by our table to check in on us. Really appreciated the friendly service!

Required valet which I did not prefer. The drinks were good , the view made the experience greater. The bar was very busy so services could have been improved
